We were very happy with our Malt House apartment, which was conveniently located in regard to nearby attractions. A couple of minor detractions:
1. The towel heating rail could only be activated by turning up the heating for the whole apartment;
2. Being close to a pub meant there was occasionally some noise from patrons leaving at night [but it was also very handy for a drink and food :) ].
We would certainly stay at the Malt House again.

We stayed in ground floor apartment 2 which was very clean and spacious and most things were in great working order.
No need to bring anything (although we did as didn’t know this) everything from cutlery, crockery and utensils all supplied as well as toilet roll, kitchen towel and handwash, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel!
I would highly recommend these apartments and would stay again.
The only down side was there were a couple of plug sockets not working and the neighbours above us were noisy (constant squealing noises!) and also some outdoor noise too but still not enough to spoil out stay.

Walking distance to everything you want to see. We didn’t bring a vehicle but took the tram from the airport and it was very convenient. An earlier check in would have been helpful as the shared storage for temporary luggage was not ideal but this was only a minor inconvenience and check in was otherwise very prompt and seamless.

destiny scotland offers a discount at two parking garages, but not at the one garage that has in/out privileges. we ended up paying full price for parking.
there was a private lot right behind the house that wasn’t used the entire time we were there, so it would have been nice to have access to that lot without worrying about our car being towed.

It was a great stay. Very clean and well cared for. Two things prevent me from giving it a top rating 1. The bed was a bit a hard and 2. A fan would have been nice. 3. I never received an email about check in procedures. Otherwise location was great, it was clean, and I got great help when I called for check in info.

Overall the property is excellent. Located in a central position close to amenities and the property is nicely appointed.
Disappointed greatly due to issues with the washing/dryer which wasn’t working properly. It wouldn’t dry our items and continued to wash them causing clothing to be ruined due to colour ruining. Cleaning staff and maintenance person tried to assist but unfortunately the damage was done to our clothing. Other than that the place is good.

This property has everything you need and is absolutely perfect for exploring Edinburgh. Just down the road from Edinburgh Castle, round the corner to the tram stop & bus stop back to the airport and also a short walk to Princes Street & Queen Street. Within walking distance of most stuff, so it certainly ticked all of the boxes. It also was lovely & clean with so much space, it was a very comfy & welcoming apartment. Would definitely book again

Location is everything! The Tram from the airport stops at the corner of Canning Street and we walked about 300 feet to the apart. The luggage storage was great - we had the best Sunday roast at the corner pub (Fox & Faun) then we went to the Sainsbury’s grocery store half a block away and did some shopping before checking in. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The washer/dryer was a bonus! We appreciated the black out curtains because the sunset in the summer months is late.
The apartment was close to everything and was walkable to all the local places we wanted to visit. The digital code entry made check-in very easy. We very much enjoyed our stay and loved the corner window view. Thank you.

It is located in a fantastic location just 2 blocks from the West End Tram stop. I did think the beds were a little uncomfortable, but sleepable. Also, the washer/dryer in our unit was broken which was a bummer because we had planned to do laundry while we were traveling.

Cannot fault this property at all. The location was perfect for a 5 day stay in Edinburgh. Communication and support when needed were spot on. Destiny Scotland had thought of everything - even down to leaving us a couple of washing detergents/dishwasher tablets, airers for laundry, iron alongside bedding, towels, hair dryers etc. The apartment was beautifully furnished, spacious and a perfect relaxation spot. Also impressed by the security of the property - gated entrance with code, and a secure luggage storage area which we used on arrival and departure. Will be back and will recommend to others too!

At first glance, this is a beautiful apartment and large enough to feel comfortable after smaller spaces mostly throughout the country. On the plus side, the comfy sofa, the tv, the high pressure shower, big fridge and all the appliances. However, the bed is unfortunately far from comfortable (springs) and we had some problems with the appliances: woke us up in the early morning beeping without reasons.

This property was perfectly located with a 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile, and only 10 minutes from Princes Street so loads of shopping and wonderful dining close by. A local pub is a one minute walk with friendly staff and good food as well! We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and the space was perfect with lots of closet room also. Everything was completely spotless, and we received excellent communication throughout our stay.

They sent an email with the entry code and a downloadable app that had all the details, days before we were due to arrive. I knew exactly what to expect and how to use their luggage storage. The location is great. It's behind the castle/gardens area and walkable to city and airport transportation, shops, eateries and groceries. The apartment was very clean. If we go back to Edinburgh, we will definitely stay here again.

These apartments are spacious and very clean. We stayed here almost 2 weeks and found the location to be excellent. There was a cleaning after one week which was very nice. The cleaning people were very helpful when we needed extra towels and toilet paper. They are in the building every day cleaning other apartments so easy to speak with. On the weekend the noise level can be disturbing from other guests especially when they get drunk and yell to each other. The apartment doors close by themselves and make a loud sound and that can be annoying too if you spend a lot of time in the apartment and the other ones are occupied.

Anniversary Weekend
We regularly return to Edinburgh at least twice a year and this trip was an Anniversary celebration. We normally stay around the Royal Mile but found the Malt House Apartments on Hotels.com and decided to give them a go. A grand find and a very good location, five minutes stroll to Princes Street and plenty in the surrounding area to see and do. We normally travel up by train but due to engineering works, drove up. Pre-booked car-parking with Q-Park at the OMNI and very safe and secure.
It's a short walk from the apartments to the Castle and up onto the Royal Mile. A good selection of shops and bars around and about the Apartment (recommend Dine Edinburgh for a treat - very nice). The Malt House are a very peaceful location and no noise from other apartments either. All-in-all, we've had many, many overnight stays in Edinburgh and would return to the Malt House. Very nice.

Also the external sign for the apartments was banging repeatedly in the wind overnight so that disturbed our sleep!
We did email and call as instructed within 24 hours of arrival to request an early check in (which we knew wasn’t guaranteed but we only wanted an hour early) and was told we’d get a phone call back but the call never arrived. So communication could have been better there.
Despite these small mentions we would still recommend the apartments and would definitely consider them again.

This is a fantastic place to stay. It’s a small but fully equipped apartment with kitchen, living, dining, bedroom, and bathroom. Clean, new, and in great shape. Close to grocery, restaurants, and historical sights.

Good value. The only thing I object to is a $350.00 deposit for a one night stay. This company needs to join the real world and realize that their competition is the many nearby hotels with on-site services. They need to understand that they are in the hospitality business and that their customers are guests. What other hospitality sector these days charge a security deposit? Hotels? Resorts? Cruises? Time to start treating clients as guests instead of people with malicious intent. Grow up!

My flight landed early in the morning and it was raining. I contacted Destiny and asked wether I could check in early and they granted us an early check in which was really helpful. Our flat was clean and kitchen was fully equipped. My only complaint was the bed. The mattress was really uncomfortable. Overall my stay was really good and I recommend Destiny 100%.

I was in town visiting my best friend who happened to be very ill and in hospital. The flat was perfectly located for an easy bus ride to the hospital, her flat and for the downtown. The 100 Airlink stops close by for easy access to the airport. Lots of eateries and shopping nearby. I loved the keyless entry. The staff were quick to respond to a minor issue with the boiler (literally had someone there in 10 minutes). The flat was large and well equipped. I would rent again!

Check in was so easy. The apartment was well appointed with an excellent bathroom. Great location ... only a 5 min walk from key venues. Bed comfortable. Only criticism is that the lights are pretty dim, some bulbs need replacing, it’s almost impossible to sit and read. Would go back.

Arrived in Edinburgh by train and strolled down Princes Street admiring the castle and beautiful manicured gardens. The walk to Malt House apartments took us about 20 minutes. We arrived at a beautiful old building which had been converted into apartments. The apartment was clean and large that overlooked a small internal courtyard. The kitchen was great and we also were pleased that the apartment had a washing machine. Would recommend Malt House apartments

Cozy bed sit in the West End, close to the convention centre and all the necessary shops, pubs, take aways and restaurants. Wifi, kitchen, bed, towels etc all good. Could do we a bit of TLC, and a spring clean (a bit dusty). The sofa was not in great shape and its the main dozy place in front of the TV. The shower (no bath) is good but the water temperature could be hotter. Generally so this is a good low cost bet with double the space on a hotel bed at a lower price.

Absolutely amazing apartment - very comfortable and with everything you need for a few days or a week, and close to town! Very clean and with excellent facilities. Only slight niggle is would potentially like a few more towels in room for stays of a few days!

In a secure, modern, well-equipped building, our two bedroom flat was clean and welcoming. We felt very secure as entry to building was by use of a code. We were five minutes from Princes' Street, the main thoroughfare of this beautiful city. Overall, a perfectly enjoyable stay.

We arrived at the accommodation at 2.30pm, I had emailed the equiries account twice to see if we were able to enter half an hour earlier than the 3pm check in but no response. There's a keycode on the main door which my code worked for, got up to our apartment door and the code wouldn't work. Rang the enquiry line and the lady on the phone was very unhelpful. Basically said a cleaner had to come and check the room before my key code would work, and that it would work in half an hour anyway. We stood outside our room for half an hour, no one came to check the room and the code worked at 3. The room was clean so it was clear we could have entered the apartment earlier, it's a real shame we wasted time waiting outside for no reason despite trying to ask several times to enter half an hour early. The apartment itself is lovely, very spacious and modern and right in the middle of everything you want to do. I did have some stains on my pillow cases but the rest of the apartment was clean. Overall I would stay again as it's a lovely place to stay and so central, but would just advise to not need to check in until after 3pm!!
