Place was gorgeous, modern, convenient, clean. Though listed as for 4 people, it was a bit awkward for 4 people: bathroom en suite to one room, so those on beds (pull-outs) in front room had to walk through the other room to the bathroom. And because light switches for bathroom are outside, anyone sleeping gets light in their eyes until the door is closed. And using the kitchenette was disturbing to those sleeping in front room. Would have liked a full size coffee maker as the nespresso did not make much, but that is a preference. Very clean and comfortable otherwise.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh-loved the neighborhood, easy to walk around to places but out of the way of high-tourist areas. The apartment was so comfortable and well-stocked. Communication with staff was easy.

Terrible check in... otherwise great

Check in was horrible. Never received code. When we called the number listed for the hotel (because they don't have a reception desk) no one answered. Took us an hour of phone calls, and contacting hotels.com directly, before we finally were able to talk to someone.

After that, the hotel was great though.

The apartment was very difficult to find. The sign for the apartment is very small and I circled the area at least 4 times before I got of the car to search by foot. In the instructions it was unclear for us that we were looking for door #6 which is the main entrance. I was looking the entire time for our actual room number because in the picture I received through the website it seemed as if that’s what I should be looking for, not a main entrance and then the door. I also asked locals to help such as a parking officer and he had no clue either. I think this needs to be specified more in the instructions… this location is located across from hrs recruitment. Entrance can be identified by red door with the number 6 as this is the main entrance. Door code must be punched in to gain access to apartment. Aside from the difficulty finding the apartment parking is also an issue. The apartment itself is everything and I expected. Very beautiful, modern. It was a very cozy feel and I did enjoy the stay.

The Haymarket Apartment was a great choice for our family of five. The location was ideal, an easy walk from the Haymarket tram to/from the airport and we took the Scotrail train to The Open at St Andrews. It is away from the tourist crowd but within waking distance to the sites. A block away are Haymarket pub and our favorite Ryries pub where we ended up most nights. We had a great breakfast at the cozy Coates Cafe near the station, the honey and fruit oatmeal was delicious. The apartment was clean and comfortable with lovely decor and anicelyequiped kitchen. We picked up a few groceries and had breakfast before heading out for the day. The only drawbacks were the pull-out couch and chairs were not very comfortable (but that is to be expected for pull-outs) and the traffic from the street could be a little noisy but all in all a great choice of accommodation on Edinburgh

The 1 bedroom apartment was very nice, modern, clean, and comfortable. We were 5. We had to open the sofa beds. There was restaurants, stores, train station, the spots to take or city tour and our countryside tour.... everything was at walking distance.
I recommend this place.

Lovely stay

Room 2 was a lovely twin bedded ensuite room with kitchenette. Whilst at basement level, it was bright with a large opening sash window looking out onto the pebbled garden area. Totally private with no overlooking windows. It was to the rear of the property. This was a great bonus as it was so quiet and insulated from any traffic noise. Room was a good size, but not large enough for soft seating, so just need to use the bed. This was not a problem. We’ll equipped. Owner very attentive and efficient at sorting any issues. Set-down, pick-up and parking is an issue if arriving in your own car as the property is located at a busy junction. Great position for Edinburgh west end and close to city centre. Would definitely stay here again when in Edinburgh.

Great place for one or two nights,however if you choose room 1 or 2 would say that room 3 which is situated above these rooms is a large apartment and could get a little noisy. Superb stay in Edinburgh

I travel a lot and this has to have been the best apartment I've rented for years! It was very clean, easy to find and access, well maintained, well decorated, and had a well appointed kitchenette that even had one of those capsule coffee makers. In my experience the folks that run Haymarket Apartments have an unusual attention to detail and really care both for their guests and their property. Just as an example, I found a personalised welcome note on the table when I arrived, and even a little mat at the bottom of the cupboard for my shoes! The flat was warm, the shower large with a powerful jet, and the table was a more usable size than I normally have. Really a great place that's super close to Haymarket station and so very central; I will be delighted to go back the next time I'm in Edinburgh and I can highly recommend it to anyone else.

As a first time international traveler I needed simple comforts of home (like a glass of milk) which how would you know. The other B&B’s in Inverness and stirling provided us apple, toast and fresh milk, a simple blessing for a weary traveler. Maybe it’s just a difference in country life versus city life. This place is so beautiful and spacious. Finally some elbow room. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Very beautiful apartment in an even better city! Close to all the attractions, that we could easily walk to. Only distraction was that it was on a very busy street and our apartment #4 faced the road. Traffic noise at all times. Other than that very nice. Would definitely recommend and return.

Had a lovely 1 night stay with my teenage daughter. Edinburgh has great public transport, most of which was within 5 mins walk of the apartment. About a week before, Alistair contacted me with the door code. Much better than having to deal with keys or cards. We were on the top floor, so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, however there are two ground floor apartments. You're right beside a very busy road, so expect traffic noise, especially the trams. We didn't have any problems sleeping and liked the fact that the place was so close to two tram stops, plus bus stops. We didn't do any cooking and went across to the bakery to get breakfast. There's an M&S food shop at Haymarket, plus Gregg's on the other side of the street. Loads of other food places nearby too. In the apartment, there's a hob and a microwave. Plus kettle and toaster. All I used was the Nexpresso coffee machine. Nice touch. Didn't get to meet Alistair, but he's done a great job with the place.

We had just one night at the Haymarket Apartments, and stayed in unit 6 on the top floor. The building is beautiful, the foyer and staircase elegant, and the apartment very stylish. It is a relatively small number of square feet for three people, but is so well laid out that it worked very well. Everything we needed was there. Highly recommended!

Great apartment in an easy to get to location with buses and trams close by. There is no lift so if you dont like stairs then this apartment might not be for you. I was there with my daughter and we managed just fine. The tram line is close by but it stops at 10 pm so not a real issue. Wee kitchen allows you to cook basic meals with a Tesco's close by. Really safe neighborhood. Highly recommend.

The road is a little noisy (in the main room where two of the three pull out couches are) but nothing a white noise machine couldn’t disguise. Would highly recommend this!

Easy to get to from the airport by tram. Easy to get to central Edinburgh, short walk or tram. It’s central to EICC which I wanted. Very clean, warm and welcoming. Everything I needed to cook for myself was there. The contact was most helpful and easily contactable. Came in person to help me store my suitcase for later after vacating the room. Very conveniently located, very close to Haymarket station (5min walk) many buses and the tram stops by the flat. Waverley is a 10min can ride or the brave can walk it in 15-20 min.
The property is maintained very well. Very good communication from the host with clear information.
Wonderfully decorated, confortable bed, clean all across the building. I was nicely surprised when I entered the room.
I highly recommend it to anyone.

Excellent apartment offering great accommodation and facilities. The location is superb with good bars and restaurants close by whilst Haymarket train and tram stations are a short walk away. The city centre is also close. WiFi quality was very good and the apartment was spacious and very clean. I would highly recommend and this offers much better value than upmarket hotel alternatives.

Very accessible to trainstation, trams and buses. Very prompt reply to communication. Apartment does not have acheck in desk but Alastair from Haymarket apt came to meet us at the apartment so we can leave our luggage and start our vacation. It was so convenient. About a 15 to 20 min walk to Waverly Bridge or the Royal mile. Apartment was clean and had a kitchenette that was well stocked. Would definitely use again. Would recommend to friends amd family

Nice spacious flat in good location

Very nice for two, more would be a crowd. Well appointed with everthing one needs for a short stay. Little things that make the difference were there like enough loo rolls, towels, soap shampoo etc. Enough milk for tea on arrival and the next moring along with coffee and tea bags. Traffic noise is present but not really a problem. Nice coffe shop opposite and tram stops five minutes either way. Would highly recommend.

This place is modern and clesn. The comfort os ok but the quality of the furnishings and the design leave a lot to be desired. You cannot see the television from the bed for ecample, nor is there anyehere to sit and watch it in comfort either. The main issue for me was the noise. There is no double hlazing and it you may as well e sleepong on the pavement given tbe noise from the trams,cats, lorries, busses, drunks and so on.tske ear plugs i implore you!! The bed was ok but tiny given its locayed in a massive room. It only scores 3 out of 10 for comfort as well. Bathroom is ok but basic and smelt damp. Towells did not match. Tekevision is also tiny for such a big room. Patking is a disasyer and very expensive. There are lots of pubs and food choices right outdide the door. But did i mention the noise? This would be s greatt place with a quality makeover, some soundproofi g and a good designer. Its a msssive room but a wasted space.

Modern - Ikea inspired furnishings are very cozy and useful with great views of local city. Wonderful clean comfortable shower with towel warmer (nice touch). We took the tram from airport almost directly to the apartment (two blocks) and airport bus #100 back to airport also two blocks from apartment. Walked to \"Old Town\" and toured Edinburgh Castle (Wow!) and royal walk along great stores and restaurants. We also walked the \"New Town\" and saw the Georgian House and great restaurants. Both walks are a must. Scottish Portrait Gallery in New Town is charming, Scottish Gallery and Scottish Museum are all free and good things to do on rainy days.

Perfect apartment

The apartment was just as good as the pictures if not better. Modern, clean and just a really nice apartment. Location was great just 5 min walk away from princes street. The owner was spot on and very helpful and accomodating with an issue we had. He went out of his way to help us and resolved our issue. You cant ask for a better place to stay, ticks all the boxes
