Paint chipped of multiple surfaces room was not worth £250.hairs in bath and bed.no pressure to shower felt like a water bottle with holes in.slippy bath but bath Matt was yellow with stains.tv remote wouldn’t work.white marks on headboard aswell if you know u know.

While the staff was great, accommodating, and friendly, the actual experience could be improved.

Our room had many things falling off the walls (towel hooks, bathroom mirror, etc. ), and the bath water tap was very difficult to turn off.

There were items in the hallway (plug covers) not secured properly.

If you choose the breakfast buffet, please note it never changes. It would be nice if items were changed. If you plan to stay for a long period of time, you may get sick of the same breakfast items. The mushrooms they serve are baked (should be fried).

Overall, it was decent for the price

It's a great 4 Star Hotel. The only significant problem were the key cards. They kept getting deactivated. The hotel is aware and is trying to fix it, but they are so busy they don't have time to reset all the codes.

The water for the bath was luke warm. The windows were filthy. The food was really not nice. The chicken curry was like soup and with not a lot of chicken in it. The breakfast was luke warm. The bacon was like leather and the eggs where hard. One of the members of staff was quite dismissive when you asked her question.

The room was clean and tidy with everything we could want, the heating/Aircon was a bit noisy with a little one, but that was a minor thing. The shower wasn't the strongest but again, not a deal breaker, breakfast was great with lots of choice, attentive staff and plenty of space if you go early, we did notice that around 9am when we left there was a queue to get into the restaurant.

Overall a great stay and we will likely be back next time we're in Edinburgh

Great hotel for staying in Edinburgh. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was great - the restaurant for dinner though, well I’m willing to accept that not everything can be 100%.
Parking is charged accordingly and was on location. Overall a great stay!

Would not say this was an EXECUTIVE ROOM!
Room was ok. Toilet light not working. Maintenance had to kill all the power to fix this. Hairs in the bath, No remote control for the tv, pictures very dusty,
Breakfast wasn’t good. Bacon was fried to a crisp. Sausages looked like they weren’t cooked. Eggs were rubber. Not a good anniversary break! WILL NOT BE BACK!!

Aircon wasnt very useful in the room as barely worked. Room was clean enough. Shower barely worked in the morning as there wasnt much power in the stream. Staff were talking about guests asking about early check in and making comments about it, when i was at the front desk i was asking about early check in which i felt was inappropriate.

Horrible breakfast experience

Breakfast was horrendous. At 9.15 it looked like the hot food was being shut down. Just about every tray was empty and was removed. No eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes. There were queues of people waiting for them to be replenished but no one seemed to care. After speaking to a team member she called a manager and slowly they started to put small portions of food out. Not exaggerating when I say it was the worst hotel breakfast experience I have ever had.

The room we were in was situated on the ground floor which was very noisy, the flooring appeared dirty. I had previously stayed at the leonardo Edinburgh city which was a much higher standard. Breakfast was rushed and the staff seemed very stressed.

We left at 9am to sightsee and came back 3pm and the room was done yet. We wantes to rest before dinner but then they wanted to clean the room.
Very disappointed in the state of the bathroom - needed alot of repair.

Very slow check in, was queuing out the door but once to room was happy. Breakfast bit of a shambles. The guy checking your room number had a poor grasp on the English language meaning customers repeating themselves.

Breakfast wasnt the hottest, the room had no direction with people collecting their items from all angles, always seemed to be short of something. Also for a hotel in the capital of Scotland wheres the haggis, the black pudding? I would not book Breakfast again.

As we arrived early, our case was kept safe until our room was ready, and we went out for the afternoon.
Checking in to the hotel later, we entered our room to find the netting had dirty marks on them and there was a dirty mark on the pillow case. The pillowcase was changed but there were no replacement nets. A different room was offered, but we were tired by this point so declined.
There was a fridge in the room which was handy, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The TV had freeview channels, but disappointingly wasn't a smart TV so we weren't able to watch a film after a busy day - I would have expected a modern smart TV for the price.
On the last night, and the following morning, the air-conditioning was not working, which was disappointing as when I rang reception, I was told it would be dealt with but it wasn't.
The breakfast was satisfactory with some lovely pastries.
I would have expected a better experience for the price, so I won't visit again.

There was some mold on the grout in the bathroom. And a stain on the carpet next to the bed. Those were the only downsides to our experience at this hotel. The staff was truly a pleasure and attentive. The breakfast options were nice. I only wish the fruit would change every couple of days. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Convenient location near the train station and walkable into the centre of town. Room was lovely, comfortable beds and couldn't hear other guests. Breakfast had great options and the whole place was very clean, with super friendly staff.

Only disappointments were the bar was poorly stocked and didn't have a number of things that were on the drinks list. Parking is also £10 a night.

This hotel saved us from a vacation nightmare!

This hotel was a life saver for my two cousins and I. We had a VRBO booked near the Royal Mile listed as \"Spacious Central Apartment Next to Royal Mile\" and when we entered it was very dirty and there was second bedroom filled to the brim with clutter and an open window in the back that we could not get to to close. Needless to say, we were in a bind after a long day of traveling and THANKFULLY this hotel had room for us. After a day of feeling unsafe and vulnerable, we felt so safe, calm and comfortable at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel was also close to some restaurants and coffee shops, and very close to the train station. Getting to the Royal Mile and Grassmarket area was a bit further but we walked there nearly every day of our stay. Could not say enough good things about this place.

Looks a bit rundown, needs painting and could be a wee bit cleaner. Scuff marks throughout the hotel and in room.

We went out for the day and only got replaced towels and they flattened out the bead spread.
Nothing was cleaned, our pillows were just as we left them and bathroom had hair all over the floor. I mentioned it at the front desk and was informed we HAD TO PUT OUT THE MAKE UP ROOM SIGN. That is different from the US. My husband has been to other Leonardo hotels and raved about them, he was disappointed in this one.

The housekeeping was terrible. They did not clean the rooms properly. Even after bringing it to the attention of the staff, nothing was done. On the last day, the manager came and apologized and teld me there will be a follow-up email sent to me, which was never done nor was i offered any compensation.

Stayed here twice in a one week period around a tour to highlands. Second stay did not include robes and slippers, which we enjoyed the first stay. Second room also did not have a working fan in the bathroom and not surprisingly there was black mould in the shower. Nice place but expect details like this to be take care for the price point.

The price was during Fringe so they took advantage of that. they also charge an additional 6 pounds for the tray to bring room service up to you. They are very gougie with the price I would not stay with them again due tho that! The staff are great very helpful and nice !

Stayed last year and liked it, so we chose it again this year. Breakfast is great and was included in our rate.

Convenient for travel to/from the train station, airport or Old town.

Our experience was better last year. This year, had some issues with the sofa bed, which was not comfortable at all. Gave feedback to the Deputy General Manager, who promised to investigate. Kris on the Reception desk was very helpful.

The hotel is very convenient for Murrayfield and Haymarket train station. We had a triple room which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The shower was great, too. We chose to have the buffet breakfast included in our stay. The food was tasty and really did set us up for the day. Would definitely stay again when visiting Edinburgh.

Extractor fan in the toilet not working; toilet smells moldy; have to be careful when taking shower, else the whole place gets flooded. One time I dialed 0 but no answer and Reception did not return a call. One whole morning no hot water and there was no warning about water interruption; I slept on bed-sofa and not comfy at all ( it’s not straight).
