Excellent location in the old town just off the main strip of bars/restaurants on Grassmarket (the Black Bull was our favourite). Expert tip: if walking to the hotel with luggage from Waverley Station (or bus stops on Princes Street) walk along Princes Street to Lothian Road and down King Stables Road to reach the hotel. There are no stairs and only a slight downhill section.

Reception/lobby was beautiful, but very awkward. As other reviewers have stated the position of the breakfast station in the middle of the entrance was both awkward and inconvenient for both diners and passers by as there was no way to avoid each other. The reception area smelled beautiful but very strong, so be aware if you have allergies. Breakfast was also very pricy and we did not partake as we did not find it was good value for the price.

Our room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable but we quickly found several things that made it inconvenient. Minimal counter space in the bathroom, lack of a second bedside table as the bed was pushed into a corner. Lack of table space. Our luggage remained open on the floor as there were no benches and there was only one luggage stand. The kitchen sink was so small the kettle could not be placed in the sink to fill and you could not wash individual dishes. The only place to blow dry hair or use hot hair tools was over the dining table.

The staff here are terrible. Our family rented several rooms over the holidays, only one had working heat. They had to provide space heaters. They made little to no effort to fix the situation. And did that with an attitude. They say they have a 24 hour maintenance staff, that is a lie. They had no \"keys\" for any maintenance after 5pm. They did make an effort to lie about everything from telling us they would fix the situation to offering us a \"free: breakfast that they refused to honor when the time came. No house keeping at all during a long stay. Bottom line.... this is a two star hotel that masquerades as a four star.

The room had no heat. The staff were informed multiple times and the problem was not resolved over 6 nights. They provided a space heater. I don't see how a hotel deserves 4 stars if they have space heaters. Even the fact that they have them available shows they have issues. The service was horrible. They did close to nothing to repair the issue, but obviously they could not so they just let it go. The tv was also not working, but at least they fixed the issue after the second day. oh yes, there is no housekeeping included, at all. This is 2 Star hotel masquerading as a 4 star.

We absolutely loved the aparthotels concept. We were in a. two bedroom and it was a proper apartment with a full living room and kitchen. It took us a day or so to get the temperature right.

The property is in the Grassmarket neighborhood and a 15 minute walk from the Edinburgh Castle end of the Royal Mile.

Breakfast was extra, choice of cold buffet or hot and cold buffet.

The best part of this hotel was all of it! The location was fantastic for a great view of the castle, less than a minute walk to Grassmarket full of fantastic history, food and drinks. The room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. I would recommend this to people who want to be close to it all but don’t want to hear it all. Since the hotel is not right on the main strip and not near the hustle and bustle you can actually rest and be ready for the next day. Cannot say enough about this hotel. Thank you!

The staff were wonderful! We felt so taken care of from the moment we walked in. The aparthotel was really cool! The decor was fun and inside was spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and we LOVED that there were all eco friendly products.

Close to all the sites, but situated on a quiet street, it was the perfect place to stay. We will be back!

We loved the modern, streamlined lobby- no check-in desk, the hotel staff were out front ready to assist. We were never worried about safety, but this hotel felt among the safest we've ever stayed in. The rooms have a well-furnished kitchen, comfortable furniture, and very comfortable beds. Our kids stayed on a pullout couch that felt like a regular double bed. The shower was fantastic- great pressure, large enough to move in, with nice shampoo and conditioner supplied. The staff were what made this experience fantastic, though. Outgoing, accommodating, with a customer service focus.

The location is wonderful, ideally situated near both Princes st and the Royal mile with a view of Edinburgh castle straight up. I regret not taking advantage of the free breakfast until we were leaving. Our room was a castle view room with elevator access which was paramount as I knew I'd be walking everywhere on a very bad knee. The nearby castle lot, while not cheap is significantly discounted with a stay here make certain to ask. A few things to note, fantastic showers, comfortable bed, and clean and well run facilities. The laundry room was much appreciated as was the lounge. A lovely stay, would come again..

As a very frequent hotel stayer, I'll admit I'm often hard to impress, but my recent break at Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity in Edinburgh didn't just meet expectations—it completely exceeded them. This was an absolutely amazing stay, and we will certainly be back.

Service and Staff Excellence
The staff here were genuinely amazing. They were friendly, professional, and went the extra mile to make the stay comfortable. We had a very small issue with a window mechanism, and the maintenance team handled it swiftly, efficiently, and without any disruption to our plans. I even appreciated the small touch of being offered a loan of a brolly for the duration of our stay—a definite plus in Edinburgh! The convenient luggage storage on arrival and departure also made logistics seamless.

Location and Features
The apartment itself was brilliant. The views of Edinburgh Castle were truly stunning, providing a memorable backdrop to the entire trip. Inside, the modern touches stood out, particularly the snazzy electric blinds, which were a subtle but very welcome luxury feature.

For any discerning traveller looking for top-tier service, fantastic accommodation, and a location with unforgettable views, I cannot recommend Wilde Aparthotels enough. Thank you for a lovely, flawless break!

The accommodation was just right! The room was clean, the staff was very responsive and friendly, the beds were comfortable, the shower water pressure was just right, and it was easy to control the room temperature. The hotel was perfectly situated for us to be able to walk everywhere. The room was well-appointed with a mini fridge, microwave, cooktop, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, and mini dishwasher. We appreciated the tea and fresh milk provided daily.

The exercise room had what I needed and having the laundry room right next door was perfect to check on my laundry while I was doing my workout. Overall great experience!

Really fantastic hotel and even better staff. I did have an issue with a very unbearable odor in the room I was initially assigned to- however, the staff were very accommodating and helpful in reassigning a new room. I also had a few questions and found it very easy to get responses quickly via their automated WhatsApp line. The only downfall of the hotel is location- it’s nearly the lowest point below the castle so it’s not a gradual climb, be prepared for a lot of stairs!

This place is AMAZING! Everything is brand new, the view is absolutely incredible. We didnt want to leave. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals, the bathroom had a fantastic shower, and the bed was super comfy. The owners were so hospitible and easy to contact.

What a beautiful property -- with such modern amenities that my wife and I did not even know of them actually existed! We did not eat on property - but we could see the extent of what looked to be an absolutely delicious menu. Lovely staff and easy booking, easy check in, easy check out. Upon checking in, our room was a little dirty. There was black hairs on the floors and in the bed. On the bed comforter there was multiple red marks that looked like blood. We didn't bring it up to staff because we were so tired and wanted to sleep. Other than that, the beds were cozy and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was amazing and an easy walk to everything we wanted to see.

when we arrived they didnt even try to get our room ready after a 8 hour flight ......then we had no kleenex and no wash cloths......then we were walking around in our socks in our room and our socks where so dirty meaning your floor was ..it was gross.......the breakfeast was suppost to be ready at 6:30 however they were late everyday.......the staff was nice but really didnt know what they were doing some of them that is.......

Our stay with the support and the hospitality of the staff was very satisfying. However the 3rd person had to sleep on the coach since the mattress of the sofa bed was in terrible condition which one of the staff also confirmed it after coming into our room. All the springs was sticking out of the mattress which was against the health and safety regulations.

Although we booked it in august and sent a message that we will be 3 people, the bed lining was not ready and it was expected from us to make it which I believe paying a high amount of money for a stay was overcharged with this service.

I believe that I should be refunded.

Room wasn't great as it was a bit noisy with a humm on the wall and we could hear people walking in the room upstairs from us. There should be more lighting in the bathroom around the mirror and next to both sides of the bed. So would stay againbut not in a ground floor room.

The hotel itself was really nice, but the room wasn't great. At the time we went we paid almost 300 pounds a night. Everywhere was expensive, but like it's really hard to justify everything for that cost. If it was less, I wouldn't complain. The pillows are really uncomfortable. The electronic blinds didn't work. There was something leaking in the bathroom. And there was just enough grime on things to where it didn't feel that clean. Specifically the bathroom. They have the bed up against the window, so one person didn't get a night stand. The AC seemed to only blow freezing cold air, and it blasts on you, so I woke up, feeling very dry. If I'm spending 300 pounds, might as well spend an extra hundred and stay at the Hilton or something. The employees were wonderful, the breakfast was vast and the location was good, but the room, not great. Maybe we just got a really bad room. Maybe we went at a time it was packed and cleaning up between guests was very difficult.

Very nice property, view of the castle and right at Grassmarket. So much to see and do only 10-15 walk away in this perfect location. Questions prior to staying were answered promptly and clearly by the staff. They were very friendly and attentive when it came to questions about the local area and transport. Not the least expensive accommodation, but you get what you pay for, and we’d definitely stay here again!
