Every year we make a trip to Louisville to visit Churchill Downs to watch the horses run. The last \"3\" yeas we have stayed at Holiday Inn Hurstbourne. The rooms are always clean and the staff is great. For $15 you get a full breakfast. Be sure to pay at check in as they charge $18 if you wat to pay that morning. While the hotel doesn't have a functioning restaurant, there are several placed withing walking distance. We always visit the sports bar/restaurant Brownies \"The Shed\". We will again stay there next year.

Dee was the morning front desk staff and she was soooooo nice and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me. I needed a little extra time to curl my hair and she allowed me to do so before my check-out. When I got to the lobby she gave me a water and make-up wipe to go. THANK YOU DEE!!!!! Do not judge a book by its cover. They are doing renovation in the area around the hotel. Once you find the small entryway you will see a beautiful hotel. Inside is wonderful. Staff was kind and on top of everything you wanted. Bar in lobby. Food on premises or within walking distance. Grocery store a 1/2 block. We would stay there again. Very clean and quiet rooms.

Every single time I took a shower, I had to use several towels to sop up the water that dripped from the shower curtain to the floor. It was A LOT of water. On Sunday, I took the do not disturb sign off the door when I left at 8:00am for my bowling tournament so the room would be serviced. When I came back around 2:00pm, the wet towels were gone, no new towels were there, and the bed wasn't made. AND, the cabinet door where the refrigerator is was wide open. That means someone HAD top open it on purpose because the door drags on the carpet, so it wouldn't just swing open by itself. Then I left for the banquet I had to attend at 5:30pm. When I came back to the room at 8:30pm, there was no bedding at all on the bed and the towels were STILL not replaced. I had to go down to the desk to get towels and get someone to come make the bed. When I checked out on Monday, I told the front desk about my troubles and all I got was an \"I apologize.\" When I told all of this to one of my team mates, he informed me that when he first checked into his room, his bed wasn't even made and they had to move him to another room. Clearly the people in this hotel don't have a clue what they are doing. Further, I only saw a housekeeper's cart in the hallway ONE time for my whole trip. Except for the flooding after a shower issue, the room itself was sufficient for a bowler staying three days. The service, however, was the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel.

Still haven't received my accidental pay back in my card,room was not damaged and they charged me $100.00, it's been 3 business days already they have not put money back on my card,try calling asked staff about money being put back on card,staff member didn't have no idea about the question and wasn't helpful at all, I would never stay at this facility again and recommend nobody to stay at this facility,had problem once before about being over charged for damaged fee that hold on your card once before,it gives scamming vibes.

Our experience was disappointing due to several factors. The room we were assigned had an ant infestation, was not properly cleaned, and had a noticeable gas smell. Additionally, there was ongoing construction that affected our stay. While the staff did offer to move us to a nearby room, we felt it was necessary to decline due to the ongoing issue with the ants. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up from management to check on our situation, and overall, we found customer service to be lacking. This experience fell short of our expectations.

There is a boarded up abandoned building that you must pass to reach entrance of hotel that is the same color as the holiday inn so at first appearance it is a part of holiday inn. There’s several water damaged areas in ceiling on the main floor of the hotel. After a 10-15 minute down pour of rain Saturday night I could hear a constant water drip on my window seal for the remainder of my stay which means there’s pour drainage and water was accumulated from somewhere up higher that the 4th floor. For average of $198.12 a night for 4 nights stay this was more of a $79 a night experience. Unacceptable for a Holiday Inn brand in my opinion.

The staff was just about the only nice thing about this property. It was old dirty my thermostat was broken, got locked out of my room several times. The water pressure was terrible. And the abandoned building up against it when you pulled in looked like a scene out of a scary crime scene! They never came to clean my room and the cracks in the walls inside and out were an eyesore. At one point standing waiting for a car they were dumping rocks off of the roof right at the entrance. Terrible experience for my children and I!!

The 1st assigned room, the air/heating unit was visible in need of repair! Moved to a 2nd room with visible mode in the bathroom. (I have asthma) The windows can be opened, which was unusual, especially for our 1st floor room. The hotel is under construction. Maybe they need close and finish the repairs before booking to customers.

We were graded with a pleasant welcome from Brittney at the front desk. She knew the answer to each and every question we had we had a little problem, nothing major and we called down to the front desk and she took care of it right away. There are some people that work Customerservice these days That act like it’s a chore to do their job but once you meet Brittney at Holiday Inn you’ll see that she takes her job very seriously and she does it very well. If I were in management, she would definitely be one of my assistance or a supervisor with her at the front desk. I would know my business is going to Be Run the right way and our guest will be very happy thank you Brittney for welcoming us to the hotel.

Wonderful staff and very very clean. To be an older hotel don’t let it discourage you from staying here. The older part is not part of the hotel now it is just the large building and it’s definitely a hotel I will continue to reside at when I come to Louisville. Looking for a beautiful event space this place several meeting rooms to ball rooms!! Excellent management and staff. Especially the young lady works the evening shift I’m not sure of her name but she’s the best dark hair curls she’s so kind!!

While checking out Monday morning 4/21, I asked the desk clerk to speak with the manager, whom I was not available. The clerk courteously, asked if he could help me with anything. I told him I wished to advise them of what I felt was a dangerous condition in the bathroom tub as being VERY, VERY slick/slippery to step into when wet, causing a slip/fall condition. Which I did experience, and fortunately with some fast footwork saving me a potential accident and the hotel owners a potential expensive lawsuit. Also, as a note the operation of the shower was not obvious and quite perplexing being controlled by a valve under neath the water faucet out of plain site.

I booked a room for the weekend. I had a King Suite. Upon Entry into my room there was major wall damage which appeared to be water remediated related. There were two large spots like that. Overall the hotel was outdated and poorly maintained. Pool was cold. 5th floor elevator opening has damage that needs attention. For the price the facilities side of this property is not the move.

The general manager, Warren Morris, was extremely nice and helpful. Brittany at the front desk is super friendly! The breakfast is really good and fruit is fresh. Beds are medium to firm, which I prefer. The pillows are not. Very small, soft and squishy. Elevators are fast. We are on our 3rd night and are staying several more instead of moving closer to the reason we're here.

The property was nice. The towels in the bathroom were very old and had tears in them and there was only enough towels for one person in a 2 guest room. The staff was wonderful. The window in my room faces the lobby. Towels were horrible. Breakfast was not good. My a/c was not working and I woke up to it being 76 degrees in my room. Staff was short and seemed annoyed. I called 2 weeks prior to going and asked about a discount that they were giving to my car club to get a discount since we were booking so many rooms I get to the place and was told they couldn’t do anything for me. Ok no problem it is what it is. Then I go and get a hair cut came back to room to find all the towels were gone and none were replaced had to call down to lobby and ask for some waitress an hour and a half and nothing so I had to use a damn floor mat towel to dry myself as well as my wife did I brought it up to the ladies at the counter and they looked at me as if they didn’t care so much for customer service. Was there 4 nights made bed one time throughout trash once never came back with extra towels or clean ones. Just a joke of service most disappointing stay I’ve ever had and paid damn near a thousand dollars for this horrible service.

From the outside the property looks horrible and unsafe, there was a used condom in the parking lot. The water wasn’t working when we got there. It didn’t start working until way later night. The person that cleaned our room only pulled the cover over and didn’t fix the sheet. Didn’t get towels until I asked the housekeeper for them. Hotel is in walking distance of ihop and other things. The front of the hotel was blocked off.
