First of all went to check in and front desk worker tried to tell me I didn't have a reservation and they were booked solid. I did, in fact, have a reservation. When we got to our room, the door was open. Apparently you really had to close it firmly. Actual room was dingy and smelled like old cigarette smoke. Walls are paper thin, and spent the night under a room with squeaky springs that would stop for a slammed door then start up again. Not going to speculate on that. And no trash can in the bathroom which was weird. The AC worked and they allow dogs ($50 non-refundable deposit which was over-explained). I wouldn't stay there again.

The most awful experience, upon check in and entering our room it was pretty immediately noticed the a/c and heater in room was not working. I let the front desk know that the a/c was not working and she stated she had another room we could move to but it needed to be cleaned. Also told her very noisy guests next to room, she said yeah they are kind of loud. I told her we were going to a Concert would be back late that evening. We were given keys to the new room and upon opening the door to the new room it reeked of smoke.
As someone with asthma and allergies this is a no go for me. Hauled all our stuff back to the front desk and employee stated there were no other rooms available. They also added when I tell them that the room smelled of smoke heavily, that ‘yeah the guy that stayed in it before smoked in it!!’ Like why would you move someone to the room if you already knew that?! Most people would not be ok with this. Normally at this point I probably would have demanded a refund and found a different hotel but almost all were at capacity in the Louisville area due to multiple events going on that night/weekend . So we went back to the initial room, no a/c, baby in the room next to ours proceeded to cry for an entire hour 2am-3am. Also noticed while laying there that there was no fire alarm in the room and wires dangling from ceiling. I spoke to someone upon check out the next morning and the manager of the hotel was supposed to call but of course never did.

This hotel was an alright stay. I wouldn’t really consider it great as cost goes because there weren’t many amenities but I guess the location wasn’t all that bad. The kitchenette would have been useful for anyone needing it, we didn’t. The beds were pretty small but worked to sleep. The whole 3rd floor smelled of either cigarette smoke or weed smoke but it didn’t really get into the room so that was good. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind as well.

In addition to adding those two items, I have a few suggestions for the management.
1. Our entry door had no sealing/insulation around the frame so you could basically see out into the hallway from the door edges. Someone could possibly see in as well. This was unnerving as well as loud. Located near the front desk, I could clearly hear conversations of all who walked past. I also heard the staff yelling back and forth to each other about needing towels in a particular room or supplies in the pantry.
My suggestion would be to either install a better fitting door or install an acoustic door seal around the frame and a door sweep at the bottom. This would insulate and reduce the amount of exterior noise for your guests.
2. When we pulled up to the hotel three ragged looking souls were sitting at the front entrance smoking. I have no problem with them looking ragged-some people have rough lives. I am sad for what they have gone through. My suggestion would be to create a nice smoking area or patio around the side of the building for them to smoke and converse. This would encourage them to not smoke right at the front entrance and enable the hotel to have a better first impression for guests. Smoke would also not carry into the lobby and down all the hallways as it did.
For a non-smoking hotel, it was pretty smoke filled.

I had such a great stay at this hotel. The staff were genuinely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. The entire place smelled amazing from the moment I walked in, which made it feel instantly inviting.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, easily one of the best I’ve slept in during my travels. I also loved the kitchenette; it was fully stocked with every dish and utensil you could possibly need to cook a real meal, not just heat something up.

On the last day of my daughter’s stay someone knocked on her door for a “room inspection” and then accused her of “stealing” a lamp from the lobby because apparently it was in that room and then told her to leave now. Why would she steal a lamp? Actually relocate a lamp.

There were bugs in the bathroom and cockroaches. The TV remote didn’t work so it was stuck on fox. Don’t expect the Wi-Fi to work because it doesn’t. Don’t expect anyone to help you because there’s almost never anyone at the desk. Avoid this place.

For the money you have to pay i would expect room service wven if I'm staying for 1 week. But NO you are expected to take out your own garage, bring down your towels to exchange dor clean ones and even have ro ask for toilet paper!!! I have no words....we turned into the parking lot and immediately could smell marijuana. Upon entering the building, the odor was even stronger and throughout the entire building/elevator the odor was consistent. The lady working the front desk was more concerned about taking another bite of her dinner before assisting me to check in. Upon entering our room there was a sticky substance on the counter tops, the trash hadn't been completely emptied, and the bed looked as if it was made in a hurry. If we weren't completely exhausted from our drive, we would've looked to stay somewhere else. Thankful we just had to stay one night and then could get the heck out of there.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed. The air conditioning went out on a 95 degree day , the elevator was super loud and it jumped a couple inches when the doors opened. I’m not sure what was worse, the smell of weed in the hallways or the smell of burnt beans someone was cooking.

I like that the room service is only after you leave unless requested. The first day it smelled a bit odd and the elevator always did, but it was a bit better after day one. The staff was super friendly and told me if there was no parking for the electric car charging and there were cars there not charging to let them know, but we never encountered this - there was always at least one spot for us to use. The bed was very loud, so any time you moved even a little it was a bit nuts. Also loud outside early Monday, morning, but overall good. I'd stay there again. The room was clean and there was a mini kitchen in case we'd wanted to eat there.

I can overlook the 5 baby black and brown roaches I killed and the German cockroach that was in my bed when I cam back from the bathroom, but the drunken loud party with music in the room next door on our last night that started at 230AM literally ran us out of the hotel. We called the office for an hour with no answer, then finally called corporate. They called and were able to reach the front desk. The front desk and a visit from the police were ineffective at stopping the noise and at 5AM (with only 2.5 hours of sleep) we had had enough, so we packed up our stuff and checked out at 7AM. The hotel refused to refund us for this night. Our plan was to sleep in and get up at 930 for 11AM checkout, then do our 7 hour drive to our next hotel. Totally unacceptable.

The property worked for our short stay for the Derby. The room was fairly clean with limited amenities due to it being an extended stay place. Staff had limited availability for more towels etc. the property stated no smoking but there was a smell coming from some rooms of tobacco and marijuana. Overall, I would prefer to stay at a different location next time.

The only concern I had was at checkout no one was around to check me out. However, the housekeeper assisted in helping me find the front desk clerk. Who in my opinion should be fired if this keeps happening to customers, Seems as if she sends people around to see if we are checking out and then checks us out so they can disappear. She told me that I had gotten a receipt but I had never seen her before and didn’t get one. She didn’t know how to print it and got this nice man to help her retrieve it’s Plus my receipt did not match my payment.

It was good enough for sleeping for the Derby. First floor hallway smelt like pot every day. Rooms are out dated. Pillows! Oh my...1/2 the size of a normal one. Expedia listed breakfast included...they haven't had it since covid. That stunk as we were counting on that. Staff was helpful but some liked the F word not nothing we were around. We literally just sold our home and our new one was not ready yet so we had to stay here for almost three weeks, short notice the ladies at the front desk was very helpful and friendly anytime I needed something they was there to help me, but the cleaning lady did not do a good job at all so I just went behind her and cleaned everything.

Overall the property and the staff was excellent. My only dislike is that there is no respect for people who are not pet friendly. I was annoyed by seeing dog waste on the ground in that parking was extremely offended when exiting one evening that a pet owners had to hold their dogs back with great restraint while they aggressively barked and growled at me walking by. For this reason the facility should use a seperate entrance/exit for pets.

Possibly one of the worst hotels Ive stayed in. The whole facility needs a major update. My room had no TP until I went to get it. The smoke detector was missing and the wires hanging from the ceiling. The bed was barely more than a pull but trundle bed. The water in the shower was lukewarm at best. And there was just a general feeling of unsafeness. The side door that required the door key for entry was broken. Anyone could walk in without the office knowing. There was a gerneral stench of cigarette and Marijuana in the halls.

I booked my reservation for this “pet friendly” property through Expedia but when I arrived to check-in at midnight, after driving across the country for hours, I found out that they are not cat friendly - they only accept dogs- and I had to scramble to find a hotel in middle of the night that would accept my cat. The only thing I could find was double the price of what I had booked, which was simply not in my budget and made for an extremely stressful experience. Do not book this hotel if you have a cat. They do not accept cats and you will find yourself in a strange city in the middle of the night with nowhere to go and have to spend lots of extra money to go somewhere else. This hotel needs to make their pet policies clear on the Expedia app and anywhere else they book reservations where they say they are “pet-friendly.”
