Room was much smaller than the photos led us the believe. AC only worked sporadically. Pet odor (dog?) when we checked in. Exterior needs serious maintenance. No elevators, all exterior hallways. Front desk staff was nice. Breakfast was stale packaged food. The price of the room was much higher when we booked than the day of, no price adjustment given. All and all, this place is a motel with a half-hearted reno on decorative elements of the rooms, the exterior was a mess. Few amenities. Value for the price was terrible.

Parking was relatively easy the room was surprisingly clean but for 245 dollars it could have been better.. staff was extremely friendly the biggest down sides were the A/C was spotty working then not working and the pillows were basically Bricks… also check in was extremely confusing having to go into another hotel to check in was odd and for someone who wouldn’t know it was a waste of time trying to figure it out. But outside of those few things it was a decent stay of the pillows were better and the price better fit to “get what you pay for” it would have been a better experience.

Overall it was perfect for country calling. There’s a shuttle at the hotel next door that we took everyday down to the entrance for $5 cash. The beds were comfortable, clean and the shower water was hot. I almost ended up cancelling though because during the off season it is nearly impossible to reach the hotel!! I called probably 10 times and couldn’t get an answer on my booking until Expedia themselves contacted me about changing the days we were staying. While the location was great, convenient and good for the price for country calling, the lack of communication was just shocking. As someone who travels often this customer service really needs to improve or I think sales will really suffer.

The free breakfast is not what is expected. They didn't even restock the break/ bar they said they had. Not enough towels for 3 people. Also if you paid for the room be advised they charge you an extra 75 dollars on your card. It is returned. But don't let it catch you by suprised. The water takes forever to warm up. They rooms need work on. The bathroom was molded and dirty. Wasn't impressed, disappointed 😕.

The room appeared clean for the most part, however, the floor had some sand and may have not been cleaned recently because it somewhat blackened the bottoms of our feet when we walked around barefoot so not super clean.
Also, there was no one to check us in when we arrived and had to go to the neighboring hotel, which has some type of partnership with the hotel we were staying at to check in. The office/lobby of our hotel rarely had anyone in it (we were supposed to get coffee and a basic breakfast at eight in the morning and often the office had not even opened up by eight in the morning).
We were also supposed to have a queen size bed, and did not, and because there were no office staff anywhere we weren't able to get that rectified at all.

Filthy. Dead bugs, dirt, food debris, water rings on tables. Wood bubbled up from water damage. Broken sofa with brown smears, gnats flying out of sink and towels. Dirt caked into dried pee streaks on bath baseboards around toilet and behind bath door. Food or who know what splattered walls in whole unit around trash cans. Dirt crusted in mini fridge. No support by staff at any time. Absent with notice to see the nearby hotel for help. Have no idea about the wifi and any amenities since no communications. Did not use shower because it was gross and we never touched bare feet to floor it was so dirty and crunchy. Curtains did not stay covered over windows. AC units would blow them apart easily so over night, 4 inches opened and walking traffic would see me and my children sleeping easily on display. Microtel people who helped us get checked in in the early evening friday and later when keys were not working we nice. But they couldn't fix the keys and with absent staff for the Shore House, its unlikely we could have had them fixed. I should not have paid for 1 night let alone 2. Stay away unless youre a drunk and dont care or are used to wallowing in others dirt. Fine. All i needed was clean. Even old is ok. Clean is the bare minimum and this place couldn't handle that. Dont believe any good picture- its just lipstick on a dirty pig.

Never again! Asked to be near laundry, so changed room so next to laundry room only to do wash & find drier didn't work... Night super swore he told clerks yet Maint guy didn't know & no signs stating otherwise.had to go by damp rid so I could sleep in room as sheets , towels, pillows allwet from humidity - they said well yeah it's been so hot - guess what, you built at the ocean - been more comfortable sleeping in my SUV!!!!!!

There was no one on staff to check us in when we arrive. Tried calling the property several times no answer. Had to go to the adjoining hotel in order to try to check in. Open and checking in found dirty underwear, which was supposed to be in a clean room. Had no way of checking into another room because there was no one on staff. No housekeeping no front desk clerk no one answering the phone. The room smelled of urine was dirty and spider all over.

Only thing nice was the staff

The \"breakfast\" was stale cereal half frozen muffins and water. There was no hot water on my second night. The bathroom smelled like the previous person who was there had a cat and they kept it locked in the bathroom while it peed everywhere. Three bed frames looked the they were doing to fall apart.. there were small bloodstains on the comfort, and a piece of someone's weave in the toilet. The plate was charmingly ghetto but all the staff were super kind and courteous

you do get what you pay for but I've never been to a place like this before. Their's no seating besides the bed. We had leftover food but our room didn’t have a refrigerator so we had no place to keep it nor drinks. Their was no housekeeping service the whole weekend we were their, so no towels, tolit paper ect. They covered the vent in the bathroom on the ceiling so it makes a loud humming noise. When I went to office to complain the guys showed me another room and he even came in and saw that bed also was dirty with hair and a bug on the bed. He agreed to why I wouldn’t allow myself or my daughter to sleep there. But “couldn’t” give me a refund.

This is the worst experience of my life and I didn’t even stay. Not only are reviews expressing clean quiet rooms a straight lie but I’d go as far as saying this motel needs to be shut down. 20-30 minute drive from all things you go to ocean city for (not 3-10 minutes as listed). Upon checking in there were pubic hairs on the seat of the bathroom, chemical smells throughout the room, bugs, and stained sheets. When we asked for assistance we were told there’s no house keeping right now so clean it ourselves. We asked for a different room and were told none were available even though there were in fact plenty. Already speaking with the health dept and better business bureau. Refund was not given due to policy which I’d understand IF they accommodated us as we requested. But there was no way we’d stay after such horrible treatment. You’d have a better stay at the prison 30 minutes away.

For one it looked nothing like the brochure. The brochure had a microwave and a fridge this room didnt. Not to mention the stairs and floor was filthy. The sink was actually outside the bathroom. There was food in the garbage cans and the sheetz had rips stains and was dirty. I asked the staff why there wasnt a fridge and they said just go to the Wyndham across the steet. And they didnt replace the room. Me and my wife didnt even stay a night this was blasphemous and no one should deal with this. Although I doubt it would happed i asked for a refund

No office open, had to drive next door to Microhotel. Outside room access. Bright light outside window, like sleeping with the light on. No extra toilet paper, cigarette burns on the batg tub, no coffeemaker, no microwave, no frig, no chair, no luggage rack. Basically a room with tv on a stand, a bed and a bathroom. Office was open in the morning, basic cold breakfast. Went to restaurant for breakfast. No one in the office when I checked out but door was open. The sink was clogged with someone else’s hair on day one, bathroom floor & door was dirty. They don’t clean the rooms unless you ask or take out trash, continental breakfast was more like toast & bagels and an apple. One of the towels that we received had a blood stain on it, and found a dead roach smashed on the wall, oh and did I mention there were ants coming out of the AC unit! Very misleading from the pictures online.

This stay was okay. The staff was helpful and considerate. The location is right in town. My issues were that the space detailed that I would have a mini fridge and a microwave, but I was surprised to find out that it is reserved only for king rooms, which was not labeled on the booking. The location said is was 3 minutes to the beach and boardwalk, but was really 10 minutes; that wasn’t an issue for me, but it was not accurate. The complementary breakfast was just cereal and yogurt in the hotel front desk, so not what I had in mind. The hotel is connected/close by the microtel, so that was my only concern as a female solo traveler. However, there were many families at Shoreside so it felt very family friendly. My MAIN issue was the cleanliness. I don’t believe my room was thoroughly cleaned. The shower was slimy AND I uncovered my sheets to find a bunch of hair and cotton swabs under the covers.

Very disappointed in this property. we had an ant issue in both rooms. Went to the check in office at 5pm ish , mind you we checked in round 4, to report the issue and see if it could be accommodated for another room just to find out that the office was closed. On top of that said to visit store for more assistance, which was not really helpful, they didn’t have other rooms they could put us in, they sent out the exterminator which didn’t really help the issue. The bathroom smells like a pee and it was not helpful to not have someone on site for assistance. At the price point paid, $800 for two rooms, we did expect rooms with clean bathrooms & no bugs. Very disappointed

The only thing this place had going for it was location. We stayed there 3 days toilet was clogged and overflowed first day. When ask for it to be fixed they got someone pretty fast to fix it. Hotel staff didn’t take towels used to clean toilet overflow. Maids never came around to dump trash or pick up or to give out fresh towels. Every time we needed towels or anything had to ask for it. I would pay more to stay at another hotel next time.

The property looked beautiful and cute online but this wasn’t the case in real life. The walls are extremely thin so I was hearing TOO much. The doors to the units are JANK and require you to throw your body weight into the door to get it open. Flooring is uneven and the bathroom is dingy.

My room keys didn’t work 99.99% of the time and I had to go to office every day we were there to get new keys or my keys re activated. Someone busted up everything in the office over a refund all while I was trying to get into my room(which I couldn’t because my key didn’t work). I asked the front desk guy and he said he couldn’t at that moment, so I waited patiently. With 3 kids an elderly mother and me being a diabetic I had no choice but to ask again after about 25-30mins. I believe the owner or property manger let me in thank god because I was having a low blood sugar. As for cleanliness, the floors really need cleaned better. They were sticky and there was dirt everywhere. The tub could have used a good cleaning as well. Other than that I can’t really complain. It’s a cute little hotel, affordable, and close to what we needed to be close to for our stay.

Great stay and would book again.

Check in was a breeze. I never made it to breakfast so I can't chime in on that. The beds were comfortable and clean, The water is very hot for showers which was amazing. Microwave and refrigerator worked as they should. I was there 4 nights no one came to check if we needed anything or came to refresh the rooms. I did request clean towels, & paper toilet. No extra trash bags were given so I just used grocery bags that I had. The pool was refreshing and not too cold. I love how it has a 1ft part for the littles. The hottub was a bonus and felt good at night. Definitely recommend.

Unclean rooms and unprofessional management

Our stay at the shore house was deplorable. I’ve seen fraternity houses that are cleaner. The walls in the room were covered in stains,dents,scuffs etc. The bathroom had feces on the toilet tank, hair and an eyelash in the shower along with mold on the faucets. We stayed in a double room and the sheets were not changed before we got there in either bed. There was sand and hair in one bed and makeup, crumbs and weave in the other bed. When we requested a receipt upon checking out days earlier than planned/paid for we were told they can’t give us a receipt. We requested to speak to a manager and the poor young man that was at the front desk kept having his phone calls sent to voicemail (mind you he was left with the hotel on his own after only working there a week). The manager’s conduct was highly unprofessional, displaying a confrontational tone and disrespectful manner toward me. After telling the manager the room was very dirty and trying to tell her about the sheet situation she cut me off to tell me she’s “sorry I feel the rooms are dirty.” Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve experienced. The lack of cleanliness and the unprofessional behavior of the manager left a lasting negative impression. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this property to others.

From the moment I got in the room I wanted to leave. The walls are super thin, I heard clear conversations from the people above and beside us. I had to sleep with the tv on because of the neighbors snoring. The floor had sand everywhere. Two of the nights my key card didn’t work. The sink had mildew by the overflow. The girl at the front desk HOPPED over it to check me in, I thought what was a tad unprofessional. There was barley any toilet paper in the bathroom but thankfully I only was really in the room to shower and sleep.

I found someone else's hair on the wall in the bathroom and also on the pillows - not what I would except from a room that should have been cleaned for the next guest.

A Roku remote was provided but there was no way to use it with the TV in the room, which was mounted on the wall with ALL the wires and the cable box exposed.

Overall I would not recommend this hotel to others.

I was very unhappy from the start of my stay on Aug 4 as I stated in the last review. The extension was already paid in full from Thursday to Friday so we had no choice but to stay even though we were unsatisfied. At this point I asked to have housekeeping do a stay over not only one time but twice on Thursday morning. My needs were not met when we returned to the room at 8pm we noticed housekeeping wasn't done. No towels, toiletries and bed was not changed or touched. I questioned the office staff, a black man who was rude. Stated after 3 nobody is available. I explained I requested housekeeping sheets towels toiletries etc in the morning after renewing my reservation not once but 2x and he said he didn't care. They had no toilet paper or tissues in the office. I had to ask for it at the microtel nextdoor. Also the office isn't open from 8pm to 8am. What if we had an emergency or locked out ourselves we would be stuck for the night. If we wanted a good breakfast aside from coffee, toast, fruit we had to go next door. To use the pool it was shared by the microtel as well and none of this was listed on the advertisement on there website or Expedia. We were also told we had to pay another 75$ fee even though we stayed in the same room for the deposit.

When we arrived we already had issues with the fridge leaking all over the floor. We had to wait 45 min for maintenance. I requested to change rooms so we didn't have to wait and we're told now they were sold out however, just 5 min before at check in we were asked which room we wanted upstairs or downstairs. We asked to speak to managers and were told they weren't working that day however the desk clerk informed me she contacted her regarding the fridge. We had no stay over service and were there 5 days. I even requested it 2x and it wasn't done. I asked for toiletries and the night desk clerk said it wasn't avail so we had to ask for them at the microtel next door. The day before checking out we had to wait 30 minutes for the housekeeping staff to clean it. The pool was shared and inconvenient location as far as contental breakfast they had coffee and fruit. We had to eat next door as well. Walls were thin we could hear everything from rooms around us. For a non smoking hotel we could smell marijuana on the premise and nothing done about it. The photos on the site don't even pertain to that location. I won't ever be renting there again and I will not be referring this hotel to anyone.

It was cute Destiny the front desk employee was great and very helpful the 2 room i stayed in needed a couple of repairs nothing out of the normal wear n tear but very cute and comfortable would definitely book again in the future

The hotel is an absolute disaster from the time of check in the gentleman at the front desk was not helpful. I informed him my bathroom door was split and broken and he did not offer to change the room he only stated I will not be charged for it. The actual room was disgusting with dead bugs on the wall to the front door open even when closed to the television broke.. the room was extremely unkept. I checked out just as quick as I checked in I will never stay there ever again.

It was great overall. The problem was room 117 key didn't work twice when I checked in. They sent me to another room which is fine. However, I was told that room key has had problems in the past. If that was the only room available p, there would have been a major problem

..A really bad experience. Room smell like pee, humidity on the roof and many flies for no reason . Really bad customer service: I requested to be change from my room because it was near the pool and people over there where yelling and somebody on the 2nd floor was scratching on the floor and running for around for hours. I went to the office and the person in charge just told me: “ I can’t help you, that’s what you got here” prettygood customer service. I came to have some rest, but it was impossible. I didn’t have the chance to see the rate over here to avoid this places, but I did it with expedia, but of I’ve came across google reviews, I’ll never book here. Their “continental breakfast” was bread, water and cooffee. No eggs no bacon, had to go somewhere else to buy a decent breakfast such a terrible service.

This stay had to be the absolute the worst! we are extremely disappointed from false advertising to broken water faucets— to bugs plastered on the wall- and blood and body fluids on the sofa bed. They did not changed the bed sheets! I had to go to the front desk to request clean bed sheets. I DO NOT recommend to stay at this place.

In addition, they only have one employee at the front desk handling all the issues and setting up the corner breakfast and it feels like an eternity to speak to the front desk. For the breakfast, they did not have a clean or spacious area. There are no utensils to grab the bagels or sliced bread so people will do their best besides that it is available from 8am to 9am.

I requested a partial refund through Expedia due to the unsanitized and horrible conditions, but they are not responding. Everything about this hotel is deceitful. Do not stay here!

The property has had some good upgrades. The room had great AC. Some areas were a little dirty in the room. We would have liked a replacement of towels. Our key card had kept inactivating and we had to go get it reactivated but it wasn’t a big deal. We’re not hard to please. We felt safe and had a good nights rest each night. Would stay again.

My air conditioner didn’t work properly, so the room was damp and had mold on the ceiling. I didn’t report any of this because the sign in said NO REFUNDS!! All the rooms were full so why bother complaining. Breakfast was sad, not much to choose from.

Housekeeping was not the best, we denied the first room because the sheets were not changed & the bathroom wasn't cleaned. The second room was better, but the floor needed swept & the toilet paper was not changed out or stocked before we came into the room, so we were left with the tail end of a roll. Front desk was helpful & quick, the outside was well kept & the pool was clean. This is the second year I have been to this hotel for vacation, & despite the need for better housekeeping & maintenance work in areas of the building I will likely be back next year as well. If they didn't switch rooms for us when I brought up the uncleanliness or if there were back to back issues with rooms being dirty my answer would definitely be different.

The Hotel was worn and out dated and we had mold in thee bathroom on the ceiling. The guest service was good but the condition of the room was horrible. One of the beds was lose off the frame so if you moved yoh ended up on tje floor. I do not recommend staying there its not worth it. Even at the disconted price i got using my key cash very disappointed.

My boyfriend and I booked a queen bedroom here because we enjoy visiting West Ocean City. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. I called earlier in the day to ask about early check-in but was told it wasn’t possible at all which is fine...I understand if early check-in isn't possible.

When we finally arrived, we were given a room—but our key card wouldn’t work. After getting assistance from the front desk and maintenance, I mentioned that it sounded like there were people inside the room. The staff insisted it wasn’t occupied—until a man actually opened the door and informed us he was staying there until Wednesday. They had assigned us to a room that was already occupied. Needless to say, not a great first impression.

We were then moved to a different room, but it wasn’t what we booked. I had reserved a queen bed suite, but the new room had a full bed. When we brought this up to the manager, we were told, “They’re listed as full beds in the system, but they’re definitely all queens.” This left us confused and feeling misled. Thankfully, my boyfriend and I are small enough to manage on a full bed, but it wasn’t what we paid for.

On top of that, the cleanliness and overall condition of the room were disappointing. There were what appeared to be shoe prints on top of the toilet, bugs flying around the room, and very thin walls that made it hard to relax.

Overall, our stay was frustrating and fell far short of expectations.

There is some good and some bad

The location is perfect because you're a few miles from being at the beach and there is pretty much everything you want/need within 5 miles. The check-in was easy and fairly quick, although the office space is small and it gets crowded quickly. I was surprised with the room when I walked in because it looked much better than I thought it would. They have obviously put some money into the asthetics of the rooms. The bed was fine , nothign wrong there. The issues I had was the humidity in the room. Yes, it was hot outside, but inside the room you felt the humidity, even with the a/c on. The other thing that let me know there was a humidity problem was the black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom(Room 119).
Overall, the stay was good, I'm really only in hotels to sleep so all the amenities don't mean much to me. There was a washer/dryer in a room between the two sides. There were people in the pool so that seemed OK, but there is a serious leak either with the pool or the pump for the pool as there was a slow steady flow of water from it in the parking lot.

My wife and i booked a room for 8 nights. The property itself is clean and inviting. The room was small and had a couple issues which i addressed with the staff at the front desk. A work order was submitted to address the issues. I would suggest to make rooms come standard with a fridge and microwave as our room lacked both making it inconvenient for long stays.I also had issues with the on-site laundry facility in which i lost $2 in change which the hotel refused to refund. That was a big turn off for me as the machines in question are on their property. The desk clerk told me that the machines are company owned and that they are not responsible for them and that they were out of order with signs posted. I took photos showing the clerk that there was no signs. Still they refused to refund my money. Daily dirty linen and trash pickup lacked as well . We emptied our own trash and walked our dirty towels and rags to the front desk to exchange them for clean fresh linens. There's definitely room for improvement to provide guests with a better experience.

Rooms are super small compared to what is advertised. In order to receive fresh towels ,you must give housekeeping your old towels. Reserved double beds , assigned to a King bed room. No refrigerator or microwave in room.

Convenient to all attractions and OC boardwalk, plenty of places dine
