Room was cold and smelled mould although it looked no mould. Somehow managed to turn on the heater. Toilet was dirty and looked like a portaloo in the construction site, very small. Didn’t feel like having shower as shower was also similar to the toilet, small.

Unfortunately, the condition of the room and shared facilities was completely unacceptable. The bed had not been made properly on arrival, and the room itself did not appear to have been cleaned to a reasonable standard. The sink area in the room was wet, which further suggested it had not been prepared properly for new guests. Most concerning, however, were the shared bathroom facilities. There were entire toilet rolls flushed down the toilet, human waste left in the bowl, urine on the toilet seat, and the overall area was dirty and unhygienic. This made the facilities unusable and created a very uncomfortable stay.
I booked this accommodation expecting a clean and hygienic environment. The condition I encountered fell far below an acceptable standard. We was in the room for just 30 minutes before we left and found a new hotel which was a huge inconvenience. Given these circumstances, I am requesting a full refund for my stay. I had travelled 5 hours from down south expecting a nice stay.
I would appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter.

The staff at the desk was polite however the staying itself was terrible. We arrived to people shouting out of the window at us. We got our room key . As we walked in to the corridor the smell of cannabis was very strong and it was clear that they had been smoking it in the rooms. They where running around knocking on each others doors and blasting loud music. The bed had hair which wasn’t mine or my partner’s in it and the sheets had yellow stains on them. When I asked to move we where told there where no more rooms so we just left and get another hotel. Pretty poor experience not so much the hotel but the tenants there and they had not been removed even after numerous complaints from other tenants

Staff try their best. Rooms are dated and worn out. Bed was quite uncomfortable. Check out was early 10 am. Carpark is great, links to Newcastle via metro and bus is good. Formula one hotel was it's old name ( french I think) basic but dated.

We were totally disappointed with the service . According to the payment , we did not get service. Bathroom with no shop and hard to shower. Everytime we need to go outside for common bathroom. Sometimes the bathroom packed. I don’t feel like it is hotel. With comfort i don’t find anything.No sound proff. We went there for relax and have good time but it was stressful. I don’t recommend here. I have not been in this kind of hotel or hostel. Very poor service but payment is high.

Very friendly lady at the counter. We travelled to Newcastle recently for the Great North Run. The lady (I am so sorry for not remembering her name) had plenty of suggestions about how to get to the venue. She even let us keep the car parked after our check out. The location is very good as well. Buses and Metro available within a short walking distance. Great value for money!

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
The room looked filthy from the moment I entered.
The walls were shabby, the sink looked unclean and the carpet didn't appear to have been hoovered recently.
During my stay I was only in the room a total of (about) 5 hours but was bitten twice by something and had very itchy skin, in two places, as a result.
The communal bathrooms were also very dirty and there was no soap, of any kind, in the toilets.
The way in is also not good, for pedestrians, as there is no footpath.
Finally I was woken, around 2am, by loud shouting and the sound of doirs slamming and people arguung etc.

Very basic and is obviously half a hotel half a boarding place for people who are homeless and on council waiting list and a few let’s say unsavory characters hanging around but for the price it’s a good stop for a night or two. When I arrived, the room had a strong musty smell, and both the room and corridors felt quite dingy. There was also a strong smell of marijuana in the corridors, which added to the overall discomfort. The communal showers and toilets were not shown in the listing photos, and in reality, they were poorly maintained and did not feel clean, which I found misleading.
Although I was provided with the Wi-Fi network name and password, neither I nor my mother and friend—who were staying with me—were able to detect the network at all, let alone connect to it. This made it impossible for us to stay in the room, and I ended up checking out after only a few hours rather than staying the intended two nights.
The room did match the photos in terms of layout, but only one angle was shown, which made it hard to gauge the actual size. It felt very cramped for three people. Additionally, the ladder on the bunk bed was unstable and wobbled when used.
That said, I do want to mention that the receptionist was lovely and very helpful throughout.

Well. You have to read the fine print here. We are talking about shared toilets and bathrooms with poor hygiene. Pictures are misleading. I checked out 30 minutes after I checked in. I had to find another hotel to stay for the night.

Took one step inside the room and the stench was a cross between a hospital and a gutter. There was blood on the radiator and window and someone had clearly relieved themselves in the sink.

I feel I have glimpsed hell
I felt the general clientèle were known to the probation service and it felt like a half way house. Not great for single ladies. No rooms are with toilets or showers and it all feels incredibly like experiencing prison. Great for prison role play or to have a 'Bad Girls' live experience. They serve maxwell coffe in the rooms abd the sgowers are push a button for a short burst.

The hotel is showing signs of wear. I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed. The mattress was cheap and worn so badly you could feel every spring and i only slept for 4 hours. The WiFi didn't work and the corridor outside the room transmitted every sound as people walked past. The location was handy for me but external signage mrant you almost drove past it. Cheap but i will not stay here again.

Good start with friendly reception staff, but the room was like a prison cell: one strip flourescent light, wood-chip walls, saggy mattress.
I know you get what you pay for, & I already knew the room did not have a private bathroom, but it was very bleak and very disappointing. I would not recommend unless desperate.

I booked here because I needed to be near the airport and it was cheap. The hotel has a large car park plenty of spaces. Rooms are not en-suite and it was quite a walk to the toilet.

For the whole 15 minutes that we managed to endure at this property there was a list of things wrong the size of my arm. Firstly, I wouldn’t have booked if it hadn’t of advertised a bath in my room, for such a cheap price I booked it. Didn’t have bath in my room or anywhere in the hotel. In fact they only provided a sink in the room, ick straight away. Second, it was absolutely freezing and the heater wouldn’t work so we rang reception straight away and the receptionist who looked like a Keith and responded to it bassically jogged to our room to try fix that problem, however he couldn’t so moved us to another room, which gave me a rash and my friend an asthma attack so we had to leave promptly nd waste another amount of money of another room at travel lodge up the road! Paid £52 for the worst 15 mins of our life! To top it off when you eventually got to the toilets after the long ass walk from your room you had to wait for a green light to enter for it to be ajazzed up porta loo! Really not impressed and want my money back! So much noise from students to top it off doors didn’t close and lock properly. Proper hostel horror vibes! Would not recommend.

I will get the only negative thing out of the way, you don't have a toilet/ shower in your room. they are shared facility at the start of the corridor. First time in years I have not had en-suite, it wasn't the end of the world but it was a bit strange. The room was very clean as was all the public spaces, it looks as if has just been done up. The bed was comfortable and there was a bit of space in the room. It is next to a Toby pub, so we went there for dinner and for breakfast. It is very near to a Metro station so easy to get about. A good place to leave your bag and to rest your head once you have had a night out in Newcastle.

I stayed here with my friend for the weekend as we were attending a concert in Sunderland. The staff were very friendly, room was clean as were the facilities. The location was also perfect as only 12 minute walk to the metro where you can explore Newcastle and surrounding areas.

I was in a room on the ground floor of a \"hotel\" that can only be described as a drug and alcohol recovery centre.

There was a fight between guests during stay and seriously nightmares at midnight polices were call to clear the problem but guest who were involve still making noise with no respect the other guests at all.

I had a difficult journey. When I arrived at the hotel the staff were sympathetic and kind. They went way beyond what was expected and helped me settle in. A drink was made to calm my nerves and I was shown directly to my room. It was my first visit to Newcastle and all staff helped me with travel arrangement. Superb service.

The directions from Hotels.com was not accurate but google maps was far better and we used that. Approximately 10 minutes walk from the metro and next to almost any shops you may need.

Rooms are basic but clean, staff were lovely, we were doing the GNR let us leave our car there all day after checkout, offered us showers after if we wanted. Opened the kitchen for our use, offered tea, coffee, milk and even found us a kettle to use in our room. So friendly and helpful and really cheap too. Loved it

Good place to stay for the price. 14 lads. No issues. More or less only had a shower and slept there but staff were nice and friendly, beds were comfy. Toby Carvery right next door too which was a big bonus! Wouldnt take my mrs like but would def stay again on stag do.
