Spent 10 days at WoodSpring in Sanford Fl, for Daytona International Speedway SpeedWeek. Was a great experience, with the staff always welcoming and supportive to the needs of the customer.

Reasonable price and basically right between Orlando and Daytona International. Although they did not serve breakfast, they listed this issue beforehand. There are many restaurants within a short distance (we basically ate every morning at IHOP 1/4 mile away).

For resting your head; a really great place to stay. The only issue is the smell of pot smoke during the day and evening. The hotel tried to make the smell go away and was great clean smell in morning just to many smokers since the legality has come to play. Much like tobacco smoke in the past. Just not my thing but maybe worth considering.

Should have understood this place was sketchy when a $100 security deposit was required. And had to badge in to get into room hallway. Lots of pot smoking in parking lot. Don’t take your loss here

The room was spacious with a decent kitchen area. There was a good size desk and a lot of storage space. However, it was pretty bare bones. There was an area to hang items, but no hangars. Coffee was only available in the lobby. There was only 1 USB outlet. (None of these would be a big deal if you knew ahead of time what to expect.) The bigger downsides - the chair was so worn that Salvation Army wouldn't have accepted it as a donation. We could hear a lot of noise from the hallway, the room above, and the parking lot. The first room we were sent to had linens and towels on the floor and had not been cleaned.

The A/C didn’t seem to be working in the hallways or lobby. The first room I was assigned was not clean and the beds weren’t made. In the second room, it was very hot when we walked in because the A/C hadn’t been turned on. The TV remote also didn’t work, so we weren’t able to watch TV. The hotel had a strong smell of Pine-Sol mixed with marijuana. Overall, it was disappointing, especially since I’ve stayed at WoodSpring Suites before and had a better experience at other locations.

Our room had a partial kitchen with no dishes glasses or silverware. There was no coffee pot to make coffee before leaving for our early morning flight and there was some kind of small metal can hanging from the fan in the kitchen area that I pretty sure I dont want to know the purpose of. The coffee in the lobby started at 6am , when we would be boarding our plane. In the bathroon there were 2 bars of soap , 2 towels that looked more like dish cloths for drying dishes. There was no hair dryer. My husband went to the desk to ask if there was one to borrow and was told someone else must has taken it to their room. When we went to the desk to check out, the desk attendant was in the back and shouted out \"What do you want\". We left the keys on the desk and left. We travel often and this was possibly the worse hotel stay ever.

We gave this place a second try, but had the same results. The whole place smells of Marijuana. The hallways are the worst for the smell, but we could still smell it in our room. I have sinus issues and it kept waking me up with the odor. They gave us one bath towel for two people, no shampoo or conditioner, only one bar of soap. The furniture was dusty and dirty to the touch. I put a wash cloth down on the nightstand as it was disgusting. I killed two bugs in the room, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom area. The carpet felt gritty, so wore socks when walking in the room. No breakfast or other Anne amenities offered. We will not stay there again.

Really bad experience. We had booked two rooms, but when we arrived they only had one because of a mix up in canceling a second reservation I had made. The hotel was full, and all other hotels within a 40 mile radius were also full. The manager at the front desk was called in. She was obviously a very angry person, and she was especially angry that she had been called in. She was rude with me, and she interpreted my setting my credit card on the desk as me \"throwing it her.\" I did not throw it at her. She then proceeded to publically \"call me out\" in front of a group of teenagers I was with. Some of my group ended up staying in the one room (because there were not two rooms available at any close hotel). There was pubic hair on the shower walls as it was obvious that the shower had not been cleaned. Room had a bad musty smell. This was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had, and I have rented hundreds of rooms.

This place is fine for what you pay. It is extremely humid no matter where you go on the Hotel. I reserved a King room and got a room with 2 bed, oh well, is what it is. Room has a strong bleach smell and there was clearly signs there was mold in some places. You can hear EVERYTHING from the rooms around you. Every step. toilet flushing, TV, door opening and closing. Beds are a but hard and no blanket, just 2 flat sheets on top of each other. Not bad for the price but there is probably better out there. There are a lot of restaurants and gas stations around so that was nice.

Upon arrival, we waited at least 5 minutes for the staff to arrive. He didn't look happy, especially when asked questions.

The entrance hallway smelled horrible, and the rugs were absolutely dirty.

When inspecting the room we found the sheets must not have changed; 3 pillows smelled 'used' and when pulling the comforter we saw hair and a piece of what looked like tissue. We wiped areas with disinfectant cloth and they did seem clean. However wiping the bathtub it wasn't.

Much of this has more to do with the hotel itself, management. The window shade in the room was broken, and would not come all the way down. We had to put the smelly pillows there to cover the exposed section to feel a sense of privacy.

The room was advertised to have breakfast. They DO NOT serve breakfast, only coffee.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. For another 10 or so we could have had a better, cleaner place to stay. So no, it was not worth what we paid.

Booked this room as a quick stay to break up a long drive. So just looking for a clean room that was comfortable to sleep in. We checked in late, the room did not have pillows and the floors were so dirty that our socks were black after walking around in the room. The bathroom had hair left in the tub, the tub was missing the grab bar and the shower head was corroded to the point I opted not to shower. The staff was nice and helpful with providing pillows when I went downstairs to request them. It’s a bar minimum type of set up which I kinda expected but not to the bare minimum that it was. The beds did not have blankets, just the sheet which was supper thin- but at least I knew they were washed. Conveniently located off the interstate and there is an Outback across the street and a Cracker Barrel just down the block and a Starbucks on the way back out to the interstate as well as a gas station- so 5 stars on convenience.

The staff are friendly and helpful. During a recent move, we have had to bounce around to different hotels while traveling from New England to Orlando. We tried another hotel closer to the Orlando area to try and save some funds. That proved to be a bad decision and returned here. Economical value and a better stay all around. The area is safe here in Sanford. While this hotel does not offer breakfast, there are many dining options close by, some within walking distance and others a short drive away. If you are looking for bells and whistles, pay more and go there. If you are looking for a convenient, bug free, clean, quiet and safe space, you can’t go wrong here. They are pet friendly, however they will only allow dogs. Bonus points for being right next door to a Wawa.

No maid service even on an 11-night stay. Because I called corporate. About a lot of things, the manager retaliated against me and my family (whistle blower). I reserved another 5 nights on Wed. 08/28/2025 to arrive on Sat.08/31/20255 and check out on 09/04/2025. No call, nothing. I drove the 3-hr. drive after closing our own business. Arrived at 10:04 p.m. to check in and was told that my reservation was cancelled by the Manager and placed on a DNR list. No call, no notification until I arrived. I am a reg. late check in. Smoking bench by the pond has a 4-5' Alligator in it right now. DANGEROUS for evening smokers. It has NO fear of humans! What that manager did is illegal, immoral and unethical. Call me at (727)556-2696 or like the previous guest I will be seeking legal action and take it all the way!! Illegal to retaliate againt \" Whistle Blower.\"

While taking shower I notice spots on fixtures and realized it was ROACHES, among spots on walls. This tells me room was not cleaned well. If it was THEY WOULD HAVE NOTICED THAT!! I really deserve a refund, but I did have clean sheets to sleep on. Checked out at 8 am so I could find something else!!

WoodSpring suites is an affordable option in terms of finding a place to stay for a night or two. The parking lot is clean and there is plenty of parking. The front desk staff was very friendly and worked fast to get me checked in. The hallways however, were less impressive. The building smelled of what was either mold or cigarette smoke and the carpets were very dirty. The rooms themselves were nice and clean and were spacious. The showers do need to have liners outside of them as water gets everywhere when you take a shower. For $80 a night it’s a pretty good deal but the building does need some overall work.

We ended up not staying after the rudness of the front desk girl . By the end of our experience she said if we didn’t leave she would call the cops on us . Just this year alone we have over a 150 nights in hotels all over Fl. And have never been treated like we was there nor could never even imagine treating people like we were treated . Even after we explained how bad a day we had all ready endured with our daughter being admitted in to children’s hospital and our truck breaking down and then had to walk the remaining 3 miles just to check in only to be treated like we was never again would I stay at a wood springs suits . And at this same location when they first opened we stay more then 3 months strait while waiting for our house to be built . But never again we will stay there and the girls name started with a E and she had dark hair and was a bigger women . It would of been June 12th in the after noon

I reserved this hotel and was extremely happy until I started receiving illogical noise complaints from just talking and noise complaints about my grand baby. Which then turned into threats to call the sheriff and we weren’t even partying with loud music or nothing and the staff became rude about the whole situation when I asked if I could be moved to another floor or transfer she just said I can just check out right now because apparently she didn’t want to be bothered and I had already made reservations for the week. When I asked if I can maybe transfer to another WoodSpring she just kept telling me I can instead check out now. Rude as hell for no reason. I promise we were only talking. No loud music or nothing to be treated like I didn’t pay for the week. Very dissapointed when I was happy here. Just got home from work and had a horrible experience with the rude staff. I will now never recommend this place since it seems to be a 55plus community. Elevators weren’t working and the first floor wasn’t available so that the baby’s steps wouldn’t bother anyone and when I asked her about another floor she just said we can just check out instead. Unnacceptable. Heavy set goth lady with the tattoos should be removed from your business. She was abnoxious over talking and a baby, never go here !!

It got the job done. There were a few things that were questionable like the elevator inspection expired 8/2024 and it is now 3/2025, the lobby bathroom never seemed to get restocked with soap to wash your hands after, nor did it flush properly. The room had this weird smell in it that never seemed to go away. The front end staff were very pleasant, especially Estella. It was close to everything though.

Room was dirty, sticky floor, had a funky smell and the sink would not drain. Used condoms in the parking lot. Staff was horrible to help resolve.

The bathroom could've ben cleaner.
Felt/heard bed springs and bed wasn't very comfortable.
The 'property' we didn't see when we got there. It was dark. Looked pretty good in the morning. Evening and day staff were great.
