A good basic hotel in a very nice part of Vienna. It's easy to get to from the Hauptbahnhof using U1metro line to Karlsplatz and then line 2 tram to Albertgasse. Other options are also available.

Hotel is located in the city center, quiet and nice area, acceptable price. Room had only basic equipment = bed, one table, one chair, blanket, 2 towels per person, wifi, hair dryer. Windows are without mosquito mesh. Shower gel only in small sachets, so bring your own or go buy it. No shampoo. Breakfast buffet offers only basic food. Some other dishes are for addiotional fee. Empolyees are very nice and helpful. Considering the price and service, hotel is an acceptable choice for 1-2 nights.

This is a nice little hotel. Its not fancy, but it is clean and cozy. They also offer a nice varied breakfast that includes hot eggs and Vienna sausage. The staff is very friendly. I would stay here again.

Breakfast, WiFi, staff helpfulness was good. But room (301) smelled like a sewer, which housekeeping clearly knew about as kept opening the windows even though it’s winter. Also constantly woken by lift machinery next to room. Pillow was a joke, no deeper than a sheet of paper, better hotels out there in same price bracket.

Excellent location for walking to the heart of Vienna or taking a tram (on Alsergasse). Utterly lovely to hear chamber music of high quality being practiced in the dining room during the day. Friendly, courteous, and very helpful staff. I wish there were one accessible wall outlet in the room near furniture (a chair, a table, a shelf) for ease of charging a smartphone or other device.Or for that matter, a USB port in the desk lamp or otherwise placed on the desk.Truly a gem. I hope to return.

The hotel is affordable an located within walking distance of a large number of attractions in central Vienna.

On the downside, my room had a single bed, and so small, it would not be able to fit in a double bed. The bathroom was also one of the smallest I have seen in any hotel.

The room was not the same as shown on the photo during the booking. Some single rooms (one bed) are obviously equipped with very small bathrooms. Tall, broad-shouldered and more obese people could find it difficult to enter. However, location is perfect, the city center can be reached by foot in 20-30 minutes.

The best budget hotel I have found in Vienna

Proper modern purpose-built hotel, rather than the usual 3rd floor of an apartment block. 15 min walk to the Rathaus and Ringstrasse. 100m to tram 5 mins to Underground. In Josephstadt - a vibrant old neighbourhood full of bars, shops, restaurants, live music and theatre. Brilliant breakfast - the usual Vienna fair of roll, cheese slice and spam, but also plenty more - hot and cold savouries, cerials, choice of breads and toast, cakes etc. Receptionist very friendly and especially helpful. Case storage facility. Everywhere spotless. Adequate bedroom with two single beds pushed together (can be separated), comfortable bed, large TV. large work table with table lamp and chair. Adequate storage and a good bathroom. Only downside was the design of the windows - they stick out over the road like a sort of suspended window ledge - great for views along the street, but the soundproofing does suffer a bit. However, it is a quiet side road so I had no problem sleeping. Overall great value for money and I will certainly use this hotel again when I next am in Vienna.

The hotel was central, just a short tram ride from tourist areasl. Good breakfast, friendly helpful staff, ugly decor but comfortable enough. No extras ( no fridge, no iron etc) but would definitely recommend as an affordable handy place to stay.

The Korotan hotel does exactly what it says in the tin. It is comfortable and clean with no frills, but that is okay. The bed was super comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom is tiny, but the shower had good pressure. I arrived during a major heatwave and the staff provided each room with fans, lighter sheets, and tips on how to keep the room cool - all of which worked (and I was on the top floor). I really appreciated this gesture. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise! Loads of nice bread, meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit, etc. The Korotan is located in one of the most vibrant districts in Vienna and one can easily walk to the First District in about 15 - 20 minutes (or get a tram in 5 minutes). There are numerous excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood and you can easily walk to Yppenplatz or Neubau for even more options.

The hotel is close to the center of Vienna, within a 5 minutes one can reach bus and tram lines going everywhere. The area (8th district) has lots of cafés, bars, restaurants, small theaters. The hotel's staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and in a simple but efficient modern design. For its prices it is one of the best hotels I know in Vienna.

The hotel is a modern, simple and clean building, everything one would need is there – and it's easo to reach Vienna's most important places from here. Very nice is also the neighbourhood, the 8th district (Bezirk) with lots of restaurants (like the very good italian \"La Delizia\" or the spanish Tapas Bar (if you do not need to have typical Viennese food all day…) and small theatres etc.

Decent hotel, not great but very good value for the money. Location is OK and walking distance from the city centre, the vibrant Neubau district and the Guertel. The breakfast was surprisingly good with a really good choice of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. I'd recommend Hotel Korotan for a short stay.

This hotel was just what I expected. Small but well maintained room, good location, decent breakfast. The only small problem that didn't fit my expectation was that the window latch didn't work properly, so I couldn't fully open the window. If it had been any hotter in Munich during my stay, I would have likely been very uncomfortable.

The receptionists are friendly and speak good English. The room is very tiny, faces a apartment builsings that are very close to each other, which resulted in less air flow and less vulnerable to noise. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from train station and 5 minutes walk to tram. It is not easy to get to the airport.

Quality much greater than price

This hotel was way better than I expected. I stayed 4 nights at Korotan and was impressed with how nice the facilities are for the price. The common areas are well-kept and tastefully decorated. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Breakfast was substantial. I hesitated with my booking initially, due to the location. It turns out to be a great neighborhood, with plenty of small restaurants and cafes within an easy walk. The walk to the Ring Road is about 20-25 minutes, which for me was a pleasant way to start the day. A tram passes very close to the hotel and would make the trip into city center even easier. Or, the hotel is very close to 2 bike share stands. This is a terrific way of getting around the city. There are many protected bike lanes, and the bike share bikes (called \"Citybikes\") are free if you keep it less than an hour. You can get anywhere you want in Vienna in well under that time. All in all, a terrific stay.

Had a pleasant stay here. Helpful staff, basic room. Free wifi was useful. Limited check-in hours however were a bit inconvenient, and the fridge in my room-despite having nothing left in it-smelt disgusting on opening it, so I didn't use it.

I had a lovely stay here...warm, clean room, fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice and good location - near metro and tram stops (10 min by No. 5 tram to Westbahnhof). The only gripe I have is that when I went to check in (despite saying on website check in was open till 6pm) - there was a sign on reception saying it was closed at 3pm that day( a Friday!) (I arrived around 4pm- having told them this in advance).... there was a number to call on the note, but as the note was on the inside, it was not visible from outside the building. Luckily another guest let me in and went to find the guy to check me in........Having said that, the lady on reception the next morning was one of the friendliest I've ever come across.

Basically my room was a dorm room, but it worked out perfectly for my extended stay in Vienna. It's a bit small (even for European standards), but the bed is comfortable, it's clean, and you get your own bathroom. The breakfast was awesome and quite plentiful. The staff is great. They're happy to help you and willing to have conversations with you. Also there is free wifi for your room. It's about 3-4 minutes from the tram stop and 7 from a subway stop. My only complaint would be about the shower. It's pretty small and it can be hard to shower. Would definitely book again, especially for an extended stay.

Es ist eigentlich schon alles geschrieben hier. Einzelzimmer sind klein, ja, Dusche ist noch kleiner. Frühstück ist gut. Hotel gut zu erreichen. Was mir persönlich nicht gefallen hat sind die weichen Matratzen. Und ich konnte die Hitze nicht aus dem Zimmer bekommen. Keine Airco vorhanden, aber ein Ventilator. Alles in Allem ich würde wieder für ein paar Tage buchen. Nur nicht im Sommer.

Hotel führt derzeit Renovierungsarbeiten durch. Wir hatten frisch renovierte Zimmer erhalten. Moderne Ausstattung, Zimmer ausreichend groß. Dusche/WC top.
Leider wurde das Zimmer während der 3 Übernachtungen kein einziges Mal gereinigt.
Frühstück hatte eine ausreichende Auswahl. Personal sehr nett und hilfreich, wenn vor Ort. Rezeption nur zeitweise besetzt.
Uns hat der Aufenthalt gefallen und wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

問題点は蟻が沢山いることです。入って３分もしないうちに小さい蟻を見つけ、その後もトイレを使う際など至る所で見つけました。スーツケースの中にも結構な数が入ってしまい、次のホテルについて開けた際にも中に蟻が入っていました。
シャワーなどは特に問題がなく、スタッフも男性はとても親切でした。

El hotel es relativamente sencillo pero estuvo bien para lo que buscábamos, que era simplemente dormir y asearnos. No está demasiado lejos del ayuntamiento y se puede ir andando perfectamente, pero para otros puntos más alejados de Viena hay que usar el transporte público. El desayuno era sencillo pero con suficiente variedad.

Korotan is a lovely place to stay in Vienna. It is west of center with easy access to some of the main attractions in the city. The room is reminiscent of a college dormitory, but there is an abundance of storage and a wonderful desk. The two minor points is that the room doesn't automatically come with a water kettle. You can rent one for the duration of your stay or buy cups of hot water downstairs for .50 euro cents. Also there is no sign to indicate that you don't want cleaning service, and some of my zoom meetings were interrupted. Furthermore, when I did have cleaning, my towels were removed and replaced (which I generally don't like), I was given toilet paper (which I didn't need), but my bed linens weren't replaced and the floor wasn't swept and the toilet wasn't cleaned.

The breakfast was basic but plentiful. The hard boiled eggs and hot water might run out around 9:30/9:45 so it's best to come at or before 9AM. They could keep the cold milk in a bowl of ice so that it remains cold and perhaps add some crispy muesli, some mayonnaise packets, and sparkling water.

I'd be more than happy to stay again!
