The location is great, only 6 mins walk to the tram, that takes 4 mins to get to the centre parliament building. The facility is new, nicely and conveniently furnished. A big TV is also a nice touch. Shower is detached from the bathroom, it is still in the room, but just opposite wall to the toilet, we found it interesting, but inconvenient to get out of the shower, as you cannot place a shower mat anywhere close to the opening door. It was all clean, expect the floor, it was actually dirty, and we had to walk around in socks. Overall, the experience was great, a new building, that contains everything that you might need, extremely quiet, has fully blackout curtains, a very convenient location, and a very nice cleaning lady. Considering the price, it is a really really really good option. I rate it 7/10. Keep it up!

Great location, clean rooms, easiest check in! We stayed hesitantly based on some bad reviews and then laughed at the dumb complaints people had. (Loud train- try more like the most faint noise you have to be trying to hear). Plus best goulash around the corner at Heidenkummer!!

it was really hot in the room even though the radiators didn't feel warm however the bathroom was freezing. they only provided 2 pillows in our double room and there was a constant humming noise in our room.. the room was nice and clean but the building that it is in is very old and uninviting and to far from the city centre

The apartment is serviced by staff only for a limited time and beyond that time you need to ask for entry codes or have international calling to get in. Bathrooms and tiny, no kettle but that was not promised. Rooms were always cleaned really well. Location was away from the city center but that’s what you pay for. Overall a decent place if you are on a budget

Pleasant stay - beware thin walls

The room was basic but very clean and was kept very tidy, furniture was well looked after. Nice bathroom. The walls very thin, very loud neighbours, could hear absolutely every word they said. Not the best service, more information on breakfasts could be given. More tourist information would be preferred. Overall a pleasant stay, worth the price :)

Very good hotel for price

The room we had (number 26) was large and clean. The hotel is located is a quiet neighbourhood in a lovely part of Vienna. It was a pleasant walk to the city centre (about 20 minutes) but also plenty of trams and buses nearby if needed. We checked in outside of the reception hours and the key pickup was easy - just send them an email and they will promptly respond with instructions on how to retrieve your key. Would definitely stay here again. Also several local restaurants nearby.

Transport was super easy to walk or tram. Room was clean an basic definitely value for money. Unfortunately it was soooo hot an the two fans in the room were great but was still rather warm! A fridge in the room would have been a game changer too!

My room was clean and cozy. The location was quite good for getting into the museum quarter, near two bus lines and an underground station, although also walkable. I can''t speak to the breakfast because I don't eat in the morning. Staff is gone by afternoon so if you have any questions or get to the pension late, you're out of luck. Otherwise, the front desk is very helpful.

Great deal for the price. Reception was closed when I got in but checking in was very easy regardless. Nice sized, comfortable room with a fan and big windows. Quiet neighborhood but a tram/bus stop right out front to easily get you where you need to go (you can buy tickets via a smartphone app). Nice breakfast.

Nowhere to leave luggage when checking out !

The hotel was fine, However they do not have anyone on reception all day so it meant that when we checked out we had nowhere to store our luggage during the afternoon. So we had to drag our luggage around Vienna all afternoon. I have never encountered this before and it spoilt our last few hours in Vienna. For that reason I can not recommend it.

If you want to travel back in time…

No, I do not mean this with regard to the furniture or design of the rooms (for this you should stay at Pension Arenberg), but for the internet connection: it is as slow as modem connections in the 1990s – and breaks about 5-10x per hour. So, if you (like me) need a stable connection for work in the evening or to contact your loved ones e.g. via skype oder facetime: This is not the right hotel. Sorry.
The same is true for people who don't like to hear every word their neighbours in the next room say (or any other of their noises): The walls seem to be made of paper.
The staff was friendly, though, and helpful: when I arrived on the last evening, my key card didn't work anymore. The sent someone along to let me in and into my room. Thanks for that. But how could it come that my room booked for 10 nights days was not accessable anymore after 9 nights?

This hotel (Apartment Hotel) is in the Josefstadt region of Vienna which is central but also quiet with lots of nice restaurants within a few minutes' walk.
The centre of Vienna is small (the city only has 1.7 million residents) so you are never far from anything

City rooms is in a quiet spot but only 5 mins from central Vienna.I felt safe walking back at night

Reception operates in the morning and evening until 5pm so call them in advance if you're arriving late or early

i would definitely stay here again, great place!

Everything was great, i liked the automatic key box because we came in late. However, since there is noone there after 5pm you should maybe consider an alternative way to get in touch with you. It was good that i had roaming on my phone and i was able to call the number. Most people dont have that or it is very expensive to call. Maybe you put wifi closer to the door and provide password in the reservation notes. That way if someone comes later they can log in and call you from viber, skype etc. Just an idea.

Great Hotel for the Money

This place is cheap, clean, comfortable, and really close to the city center. I would stay here again. But, as other reviewers have noted, reception hours are very limited. Also, the staff are a little awkward to interact with. There was no TV remote in my room, and you couldn't operate the TV manually. When I mentioned this to the staff and requested a remote, they asked, \"Why?\" And then pointed out that I hadn't mentioned the missing remote before. (I had been too busy to have much time to watch TV prior to then.) It was just a very strange, awkward interaction. But they did ultimately give me a remote, and I wasn't put out by the interaction enough to think that the hotel wasn't a great deal.

Comfortable room, but need to improve service

They stay was comfortable. The room was new and clean. Just a little farther than expected from metro station where all landmarks are. It takes nearly 20 min. And I was a little disappointed with the check in process. I arrived the pension at 1pm and saw a note that the reception is opened only from 8-11am and 2-5pm. I tried my luck to ring the bell and see if I can drop my baggage then go out for sightseeing as it was indicated in my booking confirmation the reception is opened from 8am to 6pm. After a few rings, a lady answered rudely and hanged up quickly. I didn't really hear what she was saying. Then, I took my baggage with me to have a lunch first and come back at 2pm. I felt not so happy with this as they didn't bother to listen to the customers even they picked up the call. We didn't have a chance to explain we come so early because of the time written on hotel.com. The reception offered free breakfasts the next day. I will not pay for eating the breakfast if it was not free.

Problematic hotel

Almost couldn't check into hotel because nobody at the reception after 7pm. I have to call their local number in order to retrieve a code that kept the room key in the postal box. No aircon in room, very noisy near tram and with the pub downstairs with noisy customers. Couldn't sleep well whole night. Always food smell in the room. Room and bed was clean though. No complaints on cleanliness and wifi is good because our room is next to reception. Far from metro but lucky thing is Tram no. 5 short walk to main road brings you to Wien westbahnhoff.

Unfortunately, despite reserving a room at City Rooms, after sending an email to the hotel to confirm our late check-in the next day, we received a reply letting us know they had overbooked the hotel. The manager on duty was quite nice and accommodating, but had to switch our stay to a sister hotel. Our first night was switched to one considerably further from the city centre, then we were moved the next day to another sister hotel slightly closer (the Prinz Eugen). Although it was fairly inconvenient, we did appreciate that the manager was fairly attentive to resolving the issue.

The room was advertised as having a fridge and air conditioning, there was no air conditioning and the fridge did not work. I reported the fridge to the receptionist and was informed that they do not provide fridges! Would not stay here again.

Superb hotel staff - but no air con!!

The hotel itself is located near a tram station (about a 5 min walk) which meant it was quick to get into the centre of town, which was perfect for us! We arrived at 8am, but our room was already ready for us and we were able to move straight in. We also accidentally booked one night too few, but we were able to pay the extra night the following day without any trouble at all. The hotel room was comfortable, but the only downside was that not only was there no air conditioning, but in order to be able to open the windows, the certains had to be open as they were blinds and the windows opened inwards, but due to the heat it was impossible not to have the windows open so we just had to put up with the noisy road and the light pouring in! Nonetheless, I would stay there again as the location and the staff were perfect.

I rated this hotel a 5 based on price and service. The service was excellent, the people working in the hotel were very pleasant and very accommodating. We even arrived several hours early and they cleaned our room to accommodate our early arrival. The only negative would be it is far from some of the main attractions. However, Vienna is very expensive especially with the American exchange rate. So for the price this was excellent. The public transportation is a short walk and very easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel! Located in a peaceful area(where you can feel safe at any hour of the day…and night), quite close to the center (we had to take the U-Bahn only when we visited Schonbruhn), the City Rooms offers big, nice rooms , comfortably furnished and cleaned thoroughly every day. Girls at the reception are very nice. Breakfast was acceptable but not great, it lacked some variation and some locally specific products. Overall, it was a very nice accommodation.

Clean brand new room.

Despite arriving in the dark and being a little turned off by the creepy stairwell, once inside this hotel, which looks like converted apartments or somethng, i was very happy. Very clean, modern, warm, hot water, just what you need. 5-10 minute walk to the Rathaus. Can't get much closer at such a cheap rate. During the day you see that you are just in a quiet residential area and it's safe.

I was extremely pleased with City Rooms. If you're looking for a clean room and convenient location that makes you feel like you live in the city, this hotel is great.

The photos on the City Rooms site are representative of what you'll get. Furnishings in the small rooms are modern, and the price (which includes breakfast and Internet) can't be beat. The surrounding neighborhood, while largely residential, is right near a shopping street where you can find all the essentials as well as welcoming neighborhood hangouts.

The Josefstadt location is ideal in terms of sightseeing--it's well within walking distance of the Ring and Innere Stadt and also has convenient public transportation for those times you don't feel like being on your feet.

Overall, City Rooms is a great basic hotel (though you may not think it from the entryway, which is just OK though pretty typical, as the hotel is located above the ground floor of a multi-use building). It's not for those who need amenities such as a spacious lobby or large rooms. But for those who plan on being out and about much of the day and are looking for a clean room in a good neighborhood with a convenient location for sightseeing, City Rooms is a very good choice.

City Rooms is a wee bit out of the Centre but there is a tram stop not far from it & that means Vienna is your oyster. As the name suggests these are rooms, they are over three floors (there is a lift). Reception is on the 2nd. the rest of the building is residential.
I had room 26 & it was great. Bed comfy, free wifi, room & bathroom clean . I was also traveling alone & yet felt very safe.
All staff where very friendly & helpful , their English was so much better than my German . Continental breakfast was ample. I would visit again

A comfortable budget hotel

This is a reasonably priced hotel with a very good continental breakfast included in the price. The rooms are newly decorated and vary in size but ours was quite small. Transport links to the centre of town are excellent and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Be aware that this hotel is called City Rooms and that there are other private apartments in the same building, which may put some people off. However, the staff are friendly and security is excellent . We would definitely return.

A basic but comfortable little hotel

Vienna is not known for being cheap but this is a reasonably priced hotel. Basic yes, but then we only wanted a place to put our heads down at night. The entrance is through a block of flats, and does not necessarily give a good first impression due to it being a bit grubby but once inside it is very clean and comfortable and the staff (though few) are friendly. It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest U Bahn station and the Ringstrasse but there are a number of trams which will take you to both U Bahn and city centre. Breakfast is also very basic but for the price (relative to those of other hotels in Vienna) we weren't complaining. If you want luxury look elsewhere, but if you just want a base from which to explore the city then it's definately worth a look.

Pros: Clean, reasonably priced, friendly, safe and mini bar in the room.
Cons: Basic breakfast, curtains did not block out the light in the morning, no hotel bar (though there is a very popular bar immediately adjacent)

Hotel have no reception, no help
I have spoke with man one day before and told me you can check at 13 and our reception open during the day
When I came at 13 I called then and one lady answered me but she wasn’t nice talking, I told her what the her college told me , she was aggressive and she cut off the call when I was talking with her.
She need education again and need to learn how to speak with people!
The hotel it’s bit far from center
Check out at 11, so the most important thing if you forget something at your room as passport and your things after you check out you will get in very trouble because no one can help you there, no reception and bad speaking English
So you have you be very careful about that
Also you can hear your neighbors room when they open the door.
If you come early or you want leave your luggage, so no place to leave it
Better to choose another hotel who have good service and reception in case your lose of forget something at least you find someone can help you! Also you can leave you luggage if you need it.

- It took multiple phone calls to obtain the check in code for the entrance door
- We booked a room for four people, the room was prepared for only two people. The sofa bed was completely closed for sofa usage. We missed blankets, pillows, towels. Once opened, the sofa bed was full with hair and not in condition for somebody to sleep on it.
- We called the reception, they promised they would take care of it immediately but no one came.

Super fin lille “hotel”
Har kun to dårlig ting at på pege, det ene er man ikke kan have opbevaret ens kuffert før eller efter ind/udtjek. Det andet er der ikke er noget personale tilstede, kun hvis man fanger rengøring om formiddagen. Det gør man ikke kan for svar på divaers spørgsmål.
Eller lækker værelser til fornuftig pris.
Savne dog en form for fælles rum/ lagune.
Så ligge det lidt langt fra centrum, men i en fin bydel, uden for mage hjemløse m.m

Nära till stan. Bra förbindelser. Hade uppskattat om det hade funnits en karta på hur man tar sig till stan därifrån, alltså en förenklad beskrivning istället för att leta upp det själv. Negativa, inga mataffärer i närheten.

Beim Einchecken war die Staff nicht sehr freundlich, würde ich sagen. Aber die andere Staff waren sehr hilfreich und immer nett. Preis war ganz okay.

Nicht allzu ruhige Lage, Stassenbahn sehr laut da mein Zimmer zur Strasse hin lag.
Sehr hörige Zimmer also zum Nebenzimmer alles verstanden was die Personen dort redeten.

Normalerweise stelle ich an ein Stadthotel keine großen Ansprüche. Aber wenn die Dusche schimmelt und das Bettlaken Flecken aufweist werde ich diese Unterkunft das nächste Mal sicher nicht mehr buchen.
Für die Hotelkosten kann ich zumindest sauberes Bettzeug erwarten.

受付の時に朝食の案内を受けたので、朝食が含まれているものだと思った。チェックアウトの時に朝食代を請求されたのでビックリした。半年前に予約したため忘れていたが、朝食なしで予約している人には、案内をしないで欲しい。
無料wifiは宿泊期間分提供してほしい。チェックインの時に渡されたパスワードは4日分しかなく、残り2日分は不便した。

Buona struttura. Molto comoda da raggiungere con i mezzi pubblici. Ci sono 2 tram che lasciamo a 400 Mt dall'hotel e che passano in continuazione. Da segnalare la moquette in camera. Nel complesso ottimo compromesso qualità/prezzo!!!

Consigliato! Camera doppia molto confortevole e calda. Bagno pazzesco con doppio lavandino, doccia e vasca! Pulito e silenzioso. Non lontano dal centro! Sicuramente tornerò la prossima volta

Das man von 11.00–14.30 zum Einchecken niemand vor Ort ist und man nicht rein kommt zu den hinterlegten Zimmerkarten und man Glück haben muss das jemand vom Haus einen rein lässt!!!!
Aber sonst passt alles bis auf die kalten + zu harten Frühstückseier und nd das um 7.25

Nachfolgend mein Aufenthalt im Coty Rooms stichpunktartig:

- Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut zu erreichen
- Eingang nicht auf den ersten Blick gesehen
- Unhöfliches Personal an der Rezeption
- Zimmer nicht sauber und in einem schlechten Zustand
- Zimmer gewechselt, besserer Zustand aber sehr spartanisch eingerichtet
- Zimmer nicht ganz abdunkelnde (Vorhang zu kurz, Rollo kaputt und nicht Blickdicht)

Selbst für einen Kurzaufenthalt nicht zu empfehlen!
