Hotel was very clean. Shower was excellent. The hotel information should have provided instructions for the heat (which was more than sufficient). They use radiators (covered by the window curtains) and there is a tial and error period to get it just right. The breakfast was okay - better than some but not as good as others we've been to. Staff were very professional and responsive. Beds were super comfortable (pillows were okay). Definitely deserving of their 3 stars.

Great location if going for the Xmas market area. Superior Hotel room was spacious and the balcony to the garden area was a nice bonus. Great breakfast buffet option available with a variety of options. Staff was friendly and available 24 hrs. The young gentleman at the front reception was especially helpful!
For the price, you would expect more updated rooms but still a decent option.

The location was brilliant. 5 mins from the underground, 10 mins from the main Christmas market and about 20 mins to walk into the central shopping area. There are lots of restaurant nearby to choose from too.

Close to restaurants, stores and cafes. Bed was a little hard for my own liking. In room coffee/tea/fridge was appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel.

The room was clean however the water was draining slow in the shower and when we went downstairs to tell the front desk the lady rolled her eyes. The next day while taking a shower the bathroom flooded. The younger gentleman with dark hair was very helpful and had it fixed. Most of the staff do not speak good English but the younger dark hair gentleman did.

We liked our stay at this hotel, and the staff were always helpful. Our room was a little small, and the step to get in and out of the shower was very high, and not good and safe for two older ladies in their early 70’s. We would stay there again as it is quite centre to any of the Christmas Markets.

A great hotel in an excellent location for exploring Vienna.
The room was a little on the small side, but plenty big enough for what I needed, clean and located close to transport links and everything I needed.
The staff were helpful, welcoming and overall was very good value for money.
There are plenty of good shopping & food options nearby and Rathaus tram station is just over 5 minutes walk away. having two supermarkets less than a 2 minute walk away was really useful too.
The hotel was an excellent base to explore from and I'll definitely be back the next time in Vienna.

Nice hotel 10 minutes' walk from the city hall and 5 minutes walk from the tram (line 2). The staff was very friendly, and the room was comfort. Breakfast was very good and rich. The only problem was with the room made who did not clean the floor properly.

Just spent 2 nights at Hotel Zipser. 5 -10 mins walk to Rathaus and number 5 stop for Hop on Hop off Big Bus which we were able to buy from the hotel reception. About 15 mins pleasant walk to MuSeums Quartier. Great little independent jazz bar next door which made us very welcome. Really great mix of clientele. Even happy to do us toasties at midnight! Other restaurants within 2 mins walk included Indian (great food), Persian, pizzeria, tapas, other cafes and bars ! Room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly including chambermaids, breakfast staff and day and night reception staff. Chambermaid Came running to reception to give me My earrings I had left! Reception gave me a plug adaptor to borrow and also offered umbrellas. Also happily printed our boarding passes. Breakfast was excellent. Such good value for money. Will head back to Vienna as amazing city of which we only scraped the surface and would stay at Hotel Zipser again!

Location was excellent- walking distance to many sites in Vienna, and also to Ubahn to get to other sites further out. The hotel, while an older building, is very well maintained, the room was spacious and immaculate. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and nicely presented. Staff very friendly.
Only complaint- limited space to pull up car to unload luggage- the street is a little narrow and busy, and no dedicated space for the hotel reception.

Room in noisy part of hotel, Management uninterested in your concerns. Tea and coffee in room although free is limited on a daily basis and extra not given without conflict. Rude young girl on reception.

We assumed all of the rooms are air conditioned, but apparently only some of the rooms are. That wasn't clear from the website. The room was quite small, and noisy because we had to keep the windows open. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a good place to stay in Vienna but you should be careful choosing the room. Excellent service.

City Break in Vienna

Small friendly hotel, right in the heart of Vienna. Only a short walking distance to many of Vienna's sights or to go further afield the Hop on, Hop off bus stop was a short walk away.
The Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, and the buffet breakfast was very good and plentiful, enough to keep you going until one's first coffee shop stop.
Several good restaurants nearby and a good supermarket, the rooms were spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking the gardens. I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting a city break in Vienna.

Excellent value in lovely central location

The Hotel Zipser is in a fantastic, historical area of Vienna and is close to the city centre - it is a short walk to the tubes and trams and the museum quarter. We stayed in an Executive room which was spotless and spacious with brilliant heating and shower facilities. The breakfasts were of an excellent quality and the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. I would recommend the \Hotel Zipser to everyone.

Modern apartments situated inside a beautiful traditional building. Excellent location, walking distance to the parliament building, 0.5 hr walk to Aqua Tera Zoo and the market. Breakfast was exquisite! Note parking is 18 euro a night in a private garage... But this is as good as you get in the city, I think.

I stayed 5 nights here in mid September 2017. The location is in a secluded spot where you have cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores all in walking distance and the location is just outside the main ring. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Ubahn where you can easily get to the main city. I enjoyed my stay here and would return to this hotel...

Conveniently situated hotel on quiet road

Very enjoyable stay. Ten minute stroll to tram or underground stop at Rathaus. Friendly hotel staff and nice reception area and bar to relax in. Interesting area will small, independent shops, bars and restaurants. Enjoyed Viennese cuisine at Marienhof and at Die Fromme Helene but choice of Mexican and Indian also. Highly recommend trip by Underground to Karlsplatz and visit to Secession building with Klimt Bweethoven frieze and visit to nearby Naschmarkt for a coice of open-air restaurants and bars.

I've stayed here before so I knew what to expect. This is a good, family run hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Very nice staff. It's in a safe area close to the Rathaus. Very convenient for exploring Vienna.
The only slight downside is that there's no air conditioning in the rooms. Otherwise, I'd have given it five stars.
I'd definitely stay here again, no question.

Nothing negative to say about the hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Great room with a lovely balcony. Within walking distance to large choice of excellent restaurants. Close to underground and if you wanted a slightly longer walk you reach lovely park,parliament building and the museum square. Lovely breakfast with large choice of food and ample seating. Also available from 6.30 -11am which caters for whatever is planned for the day.

It was a bit tough to climb up the street with stone pavement to reach the hotel. Staff was friendly and nice. The room was spacious than average, but the bathroom was very tiny, without a bathtub. Overall, it's a nice hotel.

My sister, her granddaughter, friend and I were all very, very impressed with our room and the hotel. We had more than enough space for the four of us and all our luggage. The room and hotel was clean, the people very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to others.

Fabulous 4 day break!

What a beautiful place Vienna is. We mostly walked everywhere to take in the sights but occasionally used the trams and underground system. You can buy a 24, 48 or 72 hour ticket which you activate at the underground or on the trams (and presumably buses too but we didn't use them) and that covers you on all public transport. Only have to show ticket if the Inspector gets on. Also, If you have one of these you can buy an extra ticket costing just over 1 euro extra to get back to the airport. Must visit Habsburg and Schonbrunn palaces, they are stunning. Also recommend a stroll through the rose gardens at Volksgarten, even if you're not into gardening the smell and sight are amazing. Loads of designer shops and places to eat and drink, also excellent ice cream! Suggest buying bottles of water away from the city centre if you can as most shops charge around 2 euro, we picked up bottles in local Spar for just 59 cents!

Very good location near good restaurants and train station. It's located in district 1 near the main attractions and landmarks. Most are within less than 5 minutes train ride or 10-20 minutes walk. Breakfast is great and people are very friendly and helpful.
