The Hotel was clean but there was some area that needed some improvement and be more clean, for example the room was clean but the bathroom has flush problem my wife could not sleep because the toilet water kept running and flushing by itself every 2-3 minutes. Further more the vent looks disgusting. The pool was crowded, dirty, and had foggy water. Along with that the rooms were not isolated, which was very disturbing since you can hear a lot happening around the room.

The breakfast was good. I wish I had known I could request an omelet ahead of time before choosing food from the buffet. The pool was okay, but the water seemed a bit dirty. There were plenty of towels in the room, and the bed sheets were clean. Overall, it was a nice stay. However, the hotel felt somewhat cheap, especially considering we paid almost $300 for one night. Compared to other hotels in similar condition in the area, it felt overpriced.

Pros: Great front desk staff, especially Rich at the front. Quiet rooms. Lots of space.
Cons: Long wait to be seated at breakfast and then had to leave because no one came to take our order for ten minutes. Limited food choices. Got food at the quick market one day. Food was lackluster but staff very nice.

Close to Busch if that’s your main purpose for the trip but further from the main part of Williamsburg. Huge lobby and bar area for hanging out with fellow travelers. Bathtubs/showers could use some refreshing but overall fine for the trip.

The staff did very well for the problem they had to endure. The system went down the whole weekend. So check-in was old school, pen and paper. Staff had to check rooms for occupancy, etc. a big problem was not having internet when we expected it. We didn’t have internet during our whole conference/retreat. It would have been nice to either have a backup system or give discounts/rebates.

There was not a free breakfast. I don't understand why they charge for parking especially in the off season. The double queen-sized room was small for 2 people. The patio door lock didn't lock. The staff was fantastic!

Drove 2.5 hours to get to this hotel and arrived at 3pm. Was greeted by a young gentleman st the counter. He allowed us to check in early since our room was ready. He then hands me a set of key cards and says ok you are set. He doesn’t tell me my room number or where to go. I asked him what’s our room number? He replies with the room number as if I should know. At this point he doesn’t even tell me where to go. I tell h ok but which way is the room. He points his finger and says “Just go that way.” He mentions nothing about possible breakfast services for guests, any amenities we could use, nothing. I had to look up myself on the website to find our breakfast is not free at this hotel. For this to be a Hilton hotel front desk staff need to have better training on how to interact with guests during check in. No guest should have to ask what’s their room number or how to get to their room. We’ve traveled all over the United States, and this was our first time staying in Williamsburg at the Double Tree. Very disappointed we will not be staying here again.

Front desk clerk was very friendly. The lower level of the hotel was breathtaking. I could tell a lot of thought went into the upgrades.

I could see however the repairs needed on my floor. I stated on the third floor. When walking through the halls and looking up I could see the damage.

In my room, the toilet was really low to the ground. The door to the bathroom had a scratch on it.

However, we decided to extend our stay by one additional night and were surprised that the rate had increased by almost $200 from our original reservation. That kind of jump felt excessive and disappointing, especially since everything else about our stay was excellent.

They charge for parking $20/night for the huge parking lot only they occupy and breakfast is not complimentary nor worth the money they charge for it. Everything was just fine except for when I checked in. The girl that checked me in might have been the most rude experience I have ever had at an any hotel ever. She just acted like I was inconveniencing her entire day. Talking bad about guests to her coworkers in front of me and just general distain for life. Listen I get it I was in hospitality for years but you have to fake it until you make it. Go talk trash about everyone out back not at the front desk and don’t take it out me. I had a bad day to but I was still kind.

Large updated hotel. Room was huge, appeared to have once been 2 rooms. 2 thermostats that were competing as 1 was blowing hot & 1 cold. Bathroom counter very small but shower was great! King bed was a bit soft. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the coffee stand was good. Lots of uncovered parking.
Jamestown & the American Revolution Museum were both outstanding. The films at each were well done & the settlement replicas were very interesting. Well informed staff.

Lights didn’t work on all the lamps except for one due to blown bulbs. Sink in bathroom was leaking and room was pretty dusty. You could see cobwebs on the lamps by the bed. The bed was clean and very comfortable; however. Overall, I would rate the room 3 out of five stars.

I enjoyed my stay here. The indoor pool needed to be cleaned but the outside was good. We had to pay for parking and there was no complimentary breakfast. Overall the staff was nice and helpful. We did experience one young lady that seemed unfriendly at the front desk on Saturday but the rest were nice. The food at the bar was good.

I am writing regarding my recent stay at your hotel. When I booked through your website, it clearly stated that breakfast was included with the room. However, upon arrival, I was informed that breakfast was not included.

This was very disappointing, as it was one of the main reasons I chose your hotel over others. I believe this information on your website is misleading and should be corrected immediately to prevent future guests from experiencing the same issue.

The room that my family booked was the junior king suite… the pictures, hide it as one room with a sofa, bed TV and stuff leading up the stairs to the second level of the room where the king size bed was and another TV and it was totally not the room I got, but I sure paid the amount of the room. I thought I was getting. Highly disappointed. Service was good but the curtains were stained, and the shower was scolding… I responded to the hotels, text concierge, and they told me a tech will go look at it, they had and it was fine but when we got back to the room it was still scolding hot. Way too hot to wash my hair or bathe my 6 year old twins.

1st- Given a room that had a horrible musky smell when we hardly opened the door.
2-nd sliding glass door had to push it opened the area hadn’t been cleaned up. Debris and bird poop all over the stacked chairs, not cleaned in a very long time.
3-rd given another room. One air conditioner read error, blood on a curtain we cleaned . Outlets floppy difficult to use.
4th- Charging twelve dollars per night to park your vehicle, what????
AM coffee quick breakfast area was nice but should stay open for families with kids limited meal choice after AM .

The 2nd night of my stay the TV in the room quit working. With 2 adults and 2 small children in the room it is a terrible experience when the children rely on the TV when you are in the room for entertainment. It was a terrible experience. I was told by the manager that my 2nd night stay would be refunded. I have not heard any response to this.

There were so many problems with the room 332 that I really don’t care to mention. From tv not working to exposed AC wire to blond hair around tub, toilet seat completely loose that it was shifting about 1-1/2in left and right. Not mentioning the Bra that we found on the floor in the closet the moment we came in. I always stay at Hilton and quite frankly, I truly enjoy it. The Double Tree at Williamsburg is not our first rodeo but this time, it was just so many problems that it makes me wonder if I was just shoved in that room just because. Every state I go to, by myself or in this case with my family, we always enjoy the stay but this time, in Williamsburg at the double tree, we were very disappointed at the room 332. Last time there, we were on the second floor balcony and we truly enjoyed it. This time, we came out of it with a very bad taste in our mouth feeling that we were just shoved in there bc we were just another paying costumer and it was the very last room available. That room should never been offered to a client. The “blackout” curtain was stuck at about 2-1/2 ft from the wall and did not close. I really appreciated the front desk response to my complaint about the exposed electrical wire by the AC, the gentleman came fast and fixed the problem. Also, the TV that wasn’t working, the gentleman came to the room very fast and reset the box behind the TV. Only problem tho, everyone the TV was turned off, I had to turn the box behind, well, no more charact

Staff was great but the restaurant was horrible. One cook and waited over an hour for food that was horrible. Two meals came out and by the time other two came they were done with there’s . No apology. We weren’t the only guests that were disappointed. Should just close that restaurant.

Not what i expected for the price

We stayed here for 2 nights and for the price, it was just ok. I had high expectations but was a little disappointed. The property overall is clean, with decent amenities but the service wasn't great and the condition of the room was not what i would expect for this type of hotel. My main complaints were regarding the bathroom and housekeeping. The toilet wouldn't flush from the moment we got there and maintenance had to fix it. Then it literally ran, loudly, all night long. Also, i was calling the front desk from the phone in the room but the cord must have had a short because it kept going dead mid-conversation, so i had to go down in person. I also asked for just one extra towel and it never arrived, so i had to go back down to the lobby to get it myself. The tub/shower didn't work properly so if you turn on the shower, half of the water comes from the shower head and the rest from the tub spicket, so it was filling up with water during my showers. We were out when housekeeping came to tidy up and all they did was make up the 2 beds, and empty the trash. We had a pull-out sofa as well which they did not touch or attempt to make up while we were gone. They didn't even replace the trashbag they they took. And lastly, they charged me for parking for both nights which they NEVER mentioned at any point during check-in. They just ask if you have a vehicle but never said they were charging me for parking in the huge, hotel parking lot. Overall, just ok.
