Pros: Breakfast was good and there was variety from day to day. Location was convenient for our needs and walking distance to inner harbor. There’s a WholeFoods up the road and restaurants close by. Area felt safe and family friendly.

Cons: Our room on level 4 needed maintenance. It had an awfully masculine deodorant like scent upon entry (perhaps from a previous guest). There were stains on sofa cushions, blind, carpet. Wall covering in bathroom was lifting in areas & stained. Shower curtain stained. Grout needs a good clean. Artwork in bathroom had splatters all over it. Towel had a stain on it. Bathroom lock was broken. No bathroom ventilation/fan for showering so mirror fogs up. Not enough blankets, towels or toilet paper for amount of guests in our room. Pull out sofa was incredibly uncomfortable, even for a young child. Pool was VERY small (more like a hot tub size). Parking is $39+ a night.

Our rooms were supposed to be to be adjoining but they weren't and that they could not accommodate us.
Parking was around the corner and across the street and closed at a certain time no in or out but parking prices ok.
The breakfast made me sick I was stuck in bed and could not enjoy the rest of my day with my family.
The rooms were clean, hotel was clean and staff greeted everyone coming in and out

Most of our room (719) was destroyed. Carpet in front of the fridge was drenched and no one came to address it after it was mentioned. Sink based is cracked, shower does not drain and toilet takes several attempts to flush. Ice machine on that floor is not functional. Breakfast was inedible and no sighs to tell you what youre eating. Kids are allergic to meat and they have both been sick since trying 1 PC of this morning's eggs mush which we later found out had meat in it. Only non meat item was the concrete pancakes or stale cereal. Pool is dangerously slippery and we witnessed 2 children get injured in our hr in the freezing waters. Staff was fine but am not recommending the property to any of our friends and staying at our usual spot when in town.

If you're coming here, you know it's not fancy, but that's OK. I have to say, they win the award for Best Elevator -- never a wait. Staff (even maintenance man) were exceptionally friendly. Bummed out that you have to reserve your time at the pool in one-hour blocks, but at least they have an indoor pool. Great location for grocery store, liquor store and lots of restaurants. Ash trays in front of building so you don't feel like a bad person if you're out there smoking. :)

I had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and well-kept, and the breakfast offered a good variety of options. The location was another big advantage, being right in downtown made it easy to access nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions without much travel. The room was fairly clean, however we did find 5 strands of long hair in the shower. The view from our room (426) was basically non-existent. The staff was friendly and informative. The valet parking was excessively overpriced, however we were able to find parking elsewhere. The hotel location was ideal and close to the Inner Harbor and many restaurants.

Upon arriving, I was not in the system according to staff. Provided confiramtion number. Staff pleasant. It was discovered it was an error in spelling. King room was spacious and temp in room was able to be set for comfort. Breakfast served at 630am during week.Sat not opened until 0700. Coffee and tea available. Items such as toasted bagels , cereal bar. fresh fruit, yogurt, bananas. apples, eggs, egg quiche. potatoes. warm and delicious. short walk to little italy and waterfront. ubers dependable. Valet parking available but watch drivers doors since oncoming traffic lane adjacent to pull off. Parking $39 per night for guests in and out priviledges.

•The lobby area is too congested. There is a seating area literally in the walkway between the main door and the elevators, making the thoroughfare blocked off during busy times of the day.

•multiple trips and calls to the front desk to obtain additional washcloths, only resulted in a “well bring them to you”. We NEVER saw anyone.

•Hotel was clean. Staff was nice. Valet staff was helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

DIdn't get the breakfast because it closed earlier than advertised on weekdays. Staff was not the most welcoming. Our AC was broken for several hours, they did end up fixing it. Carpet was filthy dirty. Just don't feel I got what I paid for.

I really hoped to give a good review but it fell short. I made the reservation months ago yet when we checked in (2A/2C) I was told they didn’t have the room type I requested only a king but they could move us the next day. Right… four of us in one bed. My grand D has T1Diabetes so sleep is extremely important to managing her disease & but my grand S has autism & really needs his space. It took 3 people & me crying to miraculously have the 2 dbl beds & sofa bed. Shouldn’t have to plead/cry to get what we reserved.
While having the sofa bed allowed more sleeping space it was so stained we needed to put a sheet on it just to sit. Heads up Hyatt, cushions need to be replaced!
The pool was nice & you had to make a 1 hr reservation. But then no instructions on what to do. Do we enter and tell the group before us time is up? At one point the 3, 4 & 5 o’clock reservations were all there. Kinda defeats the purpose. Lack of pool towels was another issue.
We called down 3 times (1/2 hour apart) to get a tv remote. Then I needed to download a streaming service which I don’t have. We gave up & used our iPads. I’d love to say a friendly staff made up for issues but it didn’t. But Charles the valet was awesome. The breakfast is good. Eggs everyday. No one tells you to request pancakes or waffles. We figured it out by day 3. At checkout I explained some issues & was told I would receive extra points as compensation. Didn’t happen. It’s prox to aquarium is best feature.

Management staff was very welcoming and responsive. Shot out to Charles the valet- he was exceptional . Cleaning lady was asked to come back in 10 minutes. She failed to return. Had to request management help to get it cleaned after two days. The other patrons were noisy. Breakfast was challenged - no free coffee after 9am. Room telephone was inoperable- tried to call the front desk to report an incident and only received a busy signal. Room was a bit dark. Lighting needs to be upgraded.

What I enjoyed was the staff. What I didn’t enjoy was the breakfast. Coffee and tea bar didnt stay out after breakfast. My room was next to Supply room so it was very noisy with slamming of the doors from the workers going in and out. The carpet in my room had multiple stains on it and the buzzing of the furnice compartment made it hard to sleep and the refrigerator was leaking. The food I purchased had to be thrown out because water had gotten inside the container. I wouldn’t purchase room 526 due to the Supply room being next to it.

Upon arrival we were immediately yelled at by a valet employee for trying to pull into the parking garage. After a long drive of many hours, we simply did not know we needed to park out front first. We promptly apologized and explained we were guests at the hotel and wanted to pay for the parking. After berating us, he then tried to convince us to park at the public parking garage to save money. But after an exhausting drive, it set the wrong tone to be yelled and then have to justify our reasoning to park. After checking in, the desk explained that you have to make a reservation to swim in the pool. The pool is MUCH smaller than it appears. So be aware… if you plan to swim you need to make a reservation. The “restaurant” is not a restaurant. You order the food at the front desk and then pick it up and can eat at the seating. Which honestly is totally fine with me! But when I tried to order food on Friday at 6 pm and Saturday at 1 pm, the same front desk receptionist refused. She said it was “closed”. Then when I asked what the hours are she said, “it fluctuates daily”. So don’t plan on eating there because they won’t put your order in. Many of the “pros” of this hotel are not what they seem (pool, restaurant and parking). I say this as a warning so other families don’t make the same mistake. With that said, thankfully there are lots of restaurants, Whole Foods and parking within walking distance. Not ideal after a long day of driving but grateful nonetheless.

I’m mainly giving this review a 3-star because of the lack of accountability held by the staff/managers for the group of students who were running up and down the halls, knocking on doors, shouting, etc until probably 3 am. After listening to it for hours, I finally called downstairs at 12:30 am and told them what was going on. They said “we’ll handle it, we are sorry”… and then it continued until probably 3:30 in the morning. Our family was stopping in Baltimore for a one night stay as we drove home from South Carolina to NY and were just trying to get some rest so we could continue our drive in the morning. We spoke to someone at the front desk, they were not of help. We called and tried to speak to a manager, they were in a meeting and were going to return our call, 2 months later, still waiting on that call back. As an educator who has chaperoned plenty of overnight stays with groups of students, I’m also disappointed in the staff/faculty who were clearly not paying attention or didn’t care that their students were behaving this way. Not cool.

Our stay at Hyatt Place was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. I was glad i had read reviews where other guests stated how small the pool was and that you had to reserve a time to use it. That worked well for us since we were traveling with our 7 year old grandson to have that private time. I was disappointed that they didnt have another space to purchase food. Overall it was good. Easy walk to the inner harbor.

When we arrived the front counter said our room was clean but they cleaning staff need to check it before it was ready. After waiting an hour we left for our dinner reservation. When we got back 2 hours later, there was still confusion if our room was ready. Finally we got our room. We where not the only ones caught up in the mess. The next morning the line for the breakfast was insanely long, so we went somewhere else to keep our day going.

I could hear every sound from the hallway and from the 6th floor and all above average street noise. The staff were non-conscious, the sheets and towels were clean (could smell the bleach), soiled furniture, no USB ports, separating grout-the only reason I did not depart was due to the location of the garage where my vehicle was parked. I usually request a late check-out when out of town, I left before check-out time.

There were plenty stores nearby. Parking at the garage around the corner is much cheaper than valet. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The pool was very small and required reservations for a hour each slot. Also a separate key was required to enter the pool area and we weren’t made aware. We asked for more towel and wash clothes to accommodate the 4 people in our room and were told we could only receive half because there wasn’t many available. About 13 minutes in a uber or Lyft from the harbor area where restaurants and the aquarium are. I probably wouldn’t stay again

To start, right from the moment you walk in, there is a curly-haired girl who is incredibly unpleasant and rude. Then there is the parking: $45 for valet service. The hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, so you either have to pay for that service or go find parking somewhere else. The pool is tiny—barely the size of a Jacuzzi—and you have to make a reservation just to use it. In my booking, I requested a room with a wheelchair-accessible shower, but they ignored my request—even though I paid extra for that specific service. The pillows were rock-hard, and the bedding smelled terrible.

The rooms were nice. They seemed clean and well-maintained. My only complaint with the room was the mold on the bathroom ceiling that has obviously been painted over numerous times. There is no fan in the bathrooms, which would have been helpful as it got quite hot in there with the shower on (and would probably help with the mold issue).
I did have two issues while staying here. One was with check in. Check in supposedly started at 4. We arrived close to 5:30 and were told our room wasn’t ready due to “linen shortage.” We had to wait in the lobby with 4 small children and all of our luggage for our room to be ready.
The other big issue I had was with the pool. It was very small and required reservations, which we were not notified of. The only reason we found out it required a reservation was because of a small sign posted outside of the pool alerting us to such. The reason we booked at this hotel was because of the pool, but it looked nothing like the pictures and was too tiny for all of the people that were in it.
Overall, staff was great. Room was nice. Pool and check in were not so great.

Really dirty room with used makeup towels on sink and clearly fresh blood on blanket on one of the beds. After requesting a new blanket multiple times someone finally came. The pool is by reservation only and so we were only able to have 2 of our 5 guests use it due to it already being filled and we got to the hotel at 1 vs the 4pm check in. The breakfast buffet area was dirty and very lacking for options. Overall a disappointing stay.

Before we had gotten there I had thought I paid the full amount including accidental fees. When I arrived there I had to pay an additional 200+ dollars for any damage done in the room and accidental fees. To then find out that valet parking is taking out of that charge. It was not enough communication. Room service came on our last day, sheets were not changed. I received wash clothes that had black spots on them. In order to go to the pool you have to reserve a spot. I was really shocked for this to be Hyatt Place, this is normally a 4.5 star hotel. I wasn’t able to get the original room I paid for , but the staff was nice about that.

We were put in the wrong type of room which was manageable but annoying when traveling with a child. They only refreshed towels once during our stay of 4 nights and the room had a spot where the fridge had clearly leaked prior to us arriving, leaving it soggy. The room was dark. The staff was wonderful and very friendly but the hotel itself left much to be desired. You have to reserve a pool time as well which was a pain.

The hotel staff claimed that was typical for this hotel but I’ve never had a hotel room without a curtain. We ended up hanging up a blanket so we could sleep. The pool also looks much bigger than it is from the photos.
