It was extremely confusing to figure how to find their underground parking. It took over 30 minutes…. Once we figured it out, everything was just great.
Except we could not make local calls from the hotel phones.

Recommend the hotel fixes their phones and sends picture diagram of how to find their parking.

We chose this hotel as a base for our trip to Paris - we have been before and are confident in using the metro etc. There is a metro station literally just outside the hotel doors so super convenient. You are able to use this to get all over Paris easily and cheaply.
It’s about an 8 minute walk over to the stade de France.
The area itself is ‘colourful’. Some questionable people hanging around but in general we just got on with our day & weren’t bothered by anything. I wouldn’t say it’s an area where I would go out to eat but to be honest we didn’t try so you never know.
The hotel itself is very clean and modern. We had a suite on the top floor with an Eiffel Tower view and it was lovely.
A really good value hotel in a good location for exploring the rest of the city.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was amazing but the bathroom sink was blocked and because it was Boxing Day it couldn’t be repaired until we had left.

The staff were attentive and ready to help. The area around is close to the Metro but you must master the Metro to really be confident in Paris.

Pour se restaurer sur place, je me renseigne à 18h, on me dit pas possible de commander avant 19h, je descends à 18h50 et plusieurs personnes sont déjà installées et sont déjà servis et beaucoup d'autres en attente.
Je commande les pâtes, on me dit pas possible c'est que le snaking alors que je m'étais renseigné à 18h et c'était bon pour les pâtes !!!
Résultat, mon fils de 10 ans n'a pas mangé car pas possible d'attendre au vu du délais et de notre planning.

Le petit déjeuner: le personnel est très désagréable, de plus ils sont habillés comme les clients, de façon standard, impossible de les identifier, ne parlent pas vraiment français, comme si c'était des travailleurs au noir, hallucinant, vraiment.

Pour 280€ la nuit c'est inacceptable.

I stayed at Novotel Paris Saint Denis Stade Basilique on 26 October 2025, during the Les Voies Royales de Saint-Denis running event. Unfortunately, all roads around the hotel were completely blocked until around noon, making it impossible to leave the car park.

What made the situation worse was the lack of any prior notice from the hotel about the event or the road closures. When I asked reception staff for advice that morning, they were unable to provide any clear or accurate information. This caused significant disruption to my travel plans.

After raising the issue with the hotel, the management’s response was dismissive and inaccurate, claiming access “was not directly affected,” which was completely untrue.

I would not recommend this hotel. Guests deserve honest communication and basic consideration, especially when major local events can severely impact accessibility.

Fantastic stay at Novotel Paris Saint-Denis! We had a great stay on the fifth floor. The staff was very warm and welcoming! The hotel has a parking garage for those with a car, but it is $20/day. The hotel has a restaurant that is open for dinner daily but is closed on Sundays. They also have breakfast but it is not included in your stay if you choose to have breakfast at the hotel. They also have room service! The staff was able to help with tourist suggestions as needed. Great stay overall!

The hotel was very convenient for a prolonged weekend. The breakfast is really good, the staff is friendly, and the fact that it is possible to get a drink in the hotel, and don’t have to go to a bar, is a big plus. Not to mention that the metro is located very conveniently at the door step. On the improvement side, the toilets in the basement are quite dirty, there is a bit of strange smell in the hallway, and the area surrounding the hotel is not pleasant. Also, the mattresses are quite hard. But overall, I would stay in the same place next time I visit Paris.

We were happy with the room, which was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel's location is also excellent, as it was a quick and easy trip to get to the city center.
Unfortunately, our stay was let down by the service. On our first night, the lights in our room were not working properly. We tried to call the reception twice to get help, but no one answered the phone. The next day, we put the \"please clean\" sign on our door before leaving for the day, but when we returned, our room had not been serviced.
While the lack of attention to these issues was disappointing, we still had a good overall experience. With some improvements to their service, this hotel could be fantastic.

Surrounding area felt a little unsafe, we didn’t have any bad experiences, just from another country it was unsettling. Once you’re in the hotel, it’s perfect! They have a bar and a restaurant. Staff was very accommodating as needed. Parking was safe and secure. Would have liked to have had an ev car charger in the secure parking for overnight use. Otherwise great experience!

The check-in was easy and seamless. Front desk staff are very courteous and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. The reason I removed one star, is the bed and pillows are uncomfortable. The mattress seemed to be foam with not much support and the pillows were lumpy. There is no temperature option on the a/c only a dial and at the coldest setting it only trickles in but after running a few hours it was okay but not as cool as I would have liked. The food at the bar was delicious.

My recent stay at Novotel Saint-Denis Paris was disappointing due to several issues that fell far below the standard expected of a hotel of this calibre.

Firstly, the hotel restaurant was advertised as open, yet we were not informed that the kitchen was in fact closed. We waited until 7pm for dinner, only to sit at a table in the restaurant and be told 15 minutes later that it was not open. Even the reception staff were unaware of this closure, which reflects very poor communication within the hotel.

Secondly, there was a water leak - kind of a burst hot water pipe during our stay, and no staff were available to assist. There was only a single receptionist trying to manage everything, which was completely inadequate for the situation.

Overall, the lack of communication and staff presence made for a frustrating and unsatisfactory experience. This hotel needs to urgently address both its internal communication and its staffing levels.

This hotel was a great stop while in the area for an event at the Stade. The whole place is modern and staff friendly. The area outside the hotel is busy and I don’t think I’d like to walk around alone at night. But daytime seems fine and we saw police patrols. We walked to shops nearby and down to the old town centre to see the Basilica (highly recommend!).

Our room was air conditioned, clean, and spacious. It had a safe, good window covers, and comfy bed. One thing I didn’t understand is a feature where there’s a button to make the window between the bedroom and bathroom opaque transparent. It should always be opaque! And because it’s a window, any light in the bathroom (think during the night) shines light into the bedroom.

The property is very clean and has good room service with the receptionists being able to speak both French and English. The location is also good as it is right next to a subway station, 2 bus stops and a tram station however there is a group of French Roadmen selling spikes cigarettes everyday and occasionally having fights below. No big shops or restaurants around but there is an Aldi located nearby that sells the necessities and food. There is restaurant and bar in hotel; they are clean but the menu is limited and although we enjoyed the majority of the dishes. It is suited to a certain taste. The breakfast has a wide variety of fresh dishes of buffet style however be aware that it is not free and needs to be paid when you check out. The hotel also offers a small fitness room. The room has a lack of variety of free weights but the machine has multiple different exercises and weights although the chest press is broken and the seat has limited adjustability making lat pulldowns challenging. It also contains 2 treadmills and a cross trainer. Overall, the hotel is clean, well connected to Paris (it even has a slight view of the Eiffel Tower), generally safe -as long as you don't go out too late-, good service, a pleasant restaurant experience and a adequate fitness room.

At the stadium for the rugby. For that amazing 5 min walk. Metro station directly outside couldn't be more convenient. Lots of people hanging about outside makes it feel intimidating. On match day lots of police and no one hanging around. That being said went for a jog in the morning and it was fine My biggest bugbear and not really the hotel but guests just acting poorly and not being challenged by staff, really inconsiderate people.

I chose this hotel because of its location. We wanted to stay outside of Paris because we were renting a car, and this hotel has a Metro station (and tram/RER) a few steps from the lobby. Hotel parking is in an underground garage across the street, and you can easily roll your bags to a hotel elevator directly from the parking area. We had a \"superior\" room, which was spacious, well maintained and quiet. We didn't know much about Saint Denis before we arrived, but we visited the Basilica and it is amazing. It's where most of the kings of France are buried and we spent an entire afternoon there. For dining, we usually had breakfast at Maison Honoré (a few doors up the street) which has delicious pastries and excellent coffee. For dinner, we favored Joe's Grill, next to the hotel.

Would’ve give a higher rating but you can’t eat food in the dining area unless it’s from the hotel. Ao you have to eat in your small Paris room. Therefore, I probably wouldn’t return unless it’s a last resort because the access to the Metro is excellent. Also the shower is a dimmed mirror that doesn’t dim well so that was a whole privacy issue, particularly with teenagers and kids. Not the family friendly experience that we had with other hotels.

- the hotel location isn’t nice especially at nights it looks unsafe with strange people around. I don’t know why the hotel don’t manage the situation
- not all staff are customer friendly, specially people at the bar, actually very rude

The property itself is okay and its staff are great. I just don’t like the fact people hang in front of the hotel to smoke and sell cigarettes. Inside is nice and clean. The staff is mostly pleasant and helpful. The hotel is fine for family but the outside smoking and cigarettes selling ticked me off a bit. If you’re not bothered by the smoking in front of the hotel, I would recommend it They are plenty of places to eat, Though some areas of the city are not cleaned.

Not the best experience at this hotel. It felt unsafe from the very moment me and my family were entering the hotel. The door nearly shattered was the first impression upon entering the hotel. The Hotel itself does not belong in that area. There were often times drunk people singing at night while I was trying to fall asleep. The staff was doing their best to “be polite” but, they were just truly rude and inconsiderate. I kept asking for the staff to book a taxi and to ask if it is confirmed for my flight. And it almost seemed as if they were doing nothing all day, staring at a screen. All of the staff at the front desk just standing around. The rooms are another story, there is no sufficient air condition whatsoever. You will be waking up in a pool of sweat, 4 days of no sleep because the air condition never worked. Also, there seems to be a noise every 20 minutes in the room with the circuitboard, where you insert your key card. It was a loud noise that had awoken everyone each time. The food is okay, it looks microwaved in the “gourmet” bar. But, I can only say, the breakfast was the only good part of staying at this hotel. The rest of it, terrible.

The hotel rooms are OK, but you could tell, that the carpet hasn’t been washed in a while. The restroom sink was clogged and nobody came to fix it when we requested it. We asked for an ironing board and iron because they dont have any in the rooms, so they don’t have employees to take it, and we had to go and pick it up at the reception, and returned it when we were done using it. They didn’t clean our room on our first day there, even though we let the staff know that they could do it. It’s not what we expected.
