Good kitchen

The size of the apartament is very good, very comfortable sofa bed, the kitchen is fine you have the basic things that you need for cooking, the parking is good because you just take the elevator for go to your bedroom. The Unic problem is because there’s a train station behind the hotel so it’s too much noise for sleep.

Prior to checking in, I exchanged e-mails with a staffer named Mehdi. I told him I was deathly allergic to smoke inhalation, I was allergic to strong smells and that I did not use drugs, never had, never will.

While the taxi driver and I brought my luggage to the front door, I noticed a skinny, white man all dressed in black, smoking a cigarette right next to entrance door.

I rang the door's bell while the skinny man used his hotel card to open it. Then, he started to touch my luggage, som Through my actions, I showed that guy I neither needed nor wanted his help. There was this instance where I reached for a suitcase and he did it immediately after me. His head was almost under my nose. In a commanding tone of voice, I said: \"Stay away from me.\"

The man walked to a reading room first and then disappeared. Next, my check-in was processed. In the apartment, the trash can had trash from the previous guest. There were no dish towel in the kitchen and no brush and dust pan. The frying pan had not been washed. For a multiple day stay, they left one dishwasher tablet.

Once I settled in the room, I used my phone's spy gadget detector apps. I covered what the apps found and the room became quieter There is a train running at short intervals, which you hear every time. The surrounding area of the hotel does not feel safe.

I stayed in Annemasse as it is less than half an hour from Geneva and much cheaper. The surrounding area of the hotel is terrible. while that's nothing the hotel can help, this would be a strong reason not to visit again. The train tracks run right past the hotel, and the train runs until late - it gets loud. My room smelled strongly of smoke, which the very nice staff was aware about. They very helpfully offered to give me another room, due to my short stay I declined. Weirdly, opening the window, which I had to since the fan in the room wasn't working, made the smell worse.

The bathroom was very clean, however, there were stains on the bedsheets and covers. Again, I'm sure staff would've helped, but I chose to turn the sheets over myself - my concern is more that this was a problem in the first place. You can also hear the noise from every neighbouring room. There was a kitchen with a small hob that also wasn't fully clean, so I didn't use it. I wouldn't have minded any of this so much, but the hotel holds a deposit of 150 Euros on your credit card in case issues arise, if you use a practice like this, your hotel should be clean so guests don't fear for their deposit, I think.

This was perfect for our needs. Right by the train station. They weee able to accommodate three adults in perfectly comfortable beds (3 twin) they had soap in the shower, a kitchen sink with dishes and a kettle for our tea! They even had a fan which made sleeping more comfortable. It was perfect!

Worth the price, convenient location

Annemasse is perfect to stay close to Geneva, but paying so much less for accomodation and food than in Switzerland. This is right at the border of France and Switzerland but you don’t notice it when crossing. Few minutes walk to the train station. Trains to Geneva every 10-15 mins or less until very late at night. Clean and fairly quiet hotel with a kitchenette perfect for any meals, even cooking your dinners. The price is unbeatable. Simple and convenient option to stay by Geneva. Pay attention when you buy your train tickets from the machines. You should see a price of a bit above 4CHF from Annemass to Geneva. Different train companies have different rates and you could end up with a hefty ticket price otherwise. Use the touch screen red machines for buying your train tickets.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff (especially when I locked myself out of my room wearing only a t-shirt and underpants (it's a long story)). 5-10 minute walk to railway station and 20 mins by train to Geneva. Fridge in room was welcome.

However, it's close to the railway; sometimes the crockery would rattle on the draining board when a train went by. Maybe that was just a ground floor thing. Had to deposit €150 as a security bond. While the bond was understandable the price seemed excessive.

But was nice, on the whole.

AC illegal in France???

The hotel was new and very nice looking. Unfortunately it’s a very hot climate in Geneva. The hotel for some reason doesn’t have air conditioning (even though it was 35C/95F) outside everyday in the forecast. All they had in the room was one fan for the main room. The suite room had no fan. We had to open the windows open all night which only let more warm air in. Below was a train yard with trains going by all night. Staff didn’t seem to care that it was a very uncomfortable night. Is their a Law in France that AC is not allowed??? We had a similar issue in Paris

Very decent hotel close to train station. Room was good and spacious enough considering the price. One area of improvement that I can suggest is to start breakfast at 6am or 6.30am instead of 7am. We paid for breakfast but couldn't have it as our train was at 7.15. atleast in summer they can start breakfast at 6am

I wish they had told me there was the option of a weekly cleaning service rather than automatically charging me the most expensive option which is for daily service. Also I booked 3 rooms for a total of 29 nights each, no discount given even though after 28 nights the rate is supposedly lower.

Petit déjeuner scandaleux

Chambres correctes et personnel plutôt aimable.
Je note cependant un gros problème sur le petit déjeuner en cette période de covid: possibilité de sélectionner la veille des produits pour un petit déjeuner le lendemain... qu'il faut venir chercher soi-même au rdc. Quand on arrive au petit déjeuner, rien n'est préparé et il faut se servir soi-même au buffet (quel intérêt de nous faire noter la veille ce que l'on souhaite prendre?). Nous avons ensuite monté nos plateaux jusqu'à nos chambres (très pratique de prendre l'ascenseur avec un plateau rempli, en plus d'être dangeureux). La serveuse ne nous avait absolument pas dit de redescendre le plateau, nous l'avons donc laissé dans la chambre.
Quelle n'a pas été notre surprise de rentrer le soir pour constater que la chambre a été faite et qu'ils ont laissé le plateau du petit déjeuner sans le débarrasser...
Un service pareil dans un hôtel 3 étoiles est inadmissible. Dans tous les autres hôtels que j'ai pu faire en cette période, le petit déjeuner était apporté dans les chambres, dans le même type d'hôtel. Je déconseille fortement.

This is apartment hotel, very convenient for few nights stay, since each room has little kitchenette equipped with stove, refrigerator and microwave. Also the big plus is that there is a local bus going to Geneva and the bus stop is very close. In addition there are a bus station and train station 5 minutes walk from the hotel. As for the hotel itself it is clean, good customer service, very helpful and speak good English.

Our room was the top floor and big enough for 4 people. The sofa couch was horrible but taking the mattress off and placing on the floor was doable. The hotel is next to a train so if your room is on the train side you will definitely hear it. It was hot and no AC in the room so we had to open window. This added the street noise and the train to our stay. Our room was not ready at 5 pm. The housekeeping ladies were arguing. The area wasn’t the best part of the city. Looked run down. It’s a drive from the airport. If your catching a flight out of Geneva this Hotel is on the France side. If your looking for a pool this location did not have one.

My hotel stay was very pleasant, the room, reception and common areas were all fine, clean and modern. I didnt have breakfast so cannot comment. The hotel is close to Annemasse station with a bus service to Geneva (takes around 30mins), there are some cafes nearby (even open on sundays) and the town centre is just a few mins walk away. Would recommend to anyone interested in staying in area but just note there is limited public transport connections from Geneva late evenings, if nightlife is on agenda.

Don't use for Geneva airport flights

I stayed for one night as had an early flight from Geneva airport the next morning and only arrived in Geneva that afternoon, trying to save some money by staying a little further away - this was a mistake! The hotel and room are fine, and the staff are friendly and helpful, but the area itself is a little sketchy and there were no taxis in the morning, so I had to choose between waiting for an hour for one to arrive or taking a couple of buses and train connections which would have taken around an hour and a half, which was less than ideal. The issue was more me than the hotel to be fair - if you just need somewhere to stay the night before a flight from Geneva stay closer to the airport, even if on paper the hotel is only 35 mins away by taxi.

I stayed in early September and the room was too hot to sleep , even with the fan on, no AC, 45 mins bus ride to Geneva downtown. The pillows were really bad. My door keys didn't work and they didn't bother to fix it, we needed to come down a few times to report it. We arrived at 11am and were handed the key around 2pm, at first they promised to check me in at 12pm, that's why we just stayed there waiting....don't recommend this hotel at all

Avoiding the high cost of hotels in Geneva

Switzerland is an expensive place and Geneva Is no exception. Staying in Annemasse just over the border in France gives access to Geneva with a more budget friendly price tag. Comfort Suites is a non-descript lodging in this non-descript town. The hotel is relatively new, clean and comfortable but best described as basic. The ability to make our own meal was welcome but the limited range of kitchen equipment (1 huge saucepan, 1 oft used frypan, 2 dinner plates, 1 side plate, no coffee mugs, etc) made the cooking of the meal an exercise in juggling. The tiny dishwasher was welcome although one dishwasher tablet for a 2 night stay was a disappointment. The location is convenient and safe; it is easy to walk into town and buy fresh bread and pastries if you want to avoid eating in the hotel breakfast room. Parking is tight near the hotel so there is little choice but paying the 5 euro per day parking charge. Front desk staff were helpful.

The hotel was very clean and nice but it's located about 45 minute away from the city center by bus, the bed wasn't to my standard but not bed. The hotel staff were helpful, breakfast was good 10 Euro that include hot/cold drink, cereal, cold cut and pastry. There is a train passes by behind the hotel, but it didn't bother me because it pass through it's not a train stop.

Going to Geneva?

If you are going to Geneva, Switzerland be aware that this hotel is an hour away! Public transportation is accessible, this hotel is cheaper, but just too far away from where I wanted to be. Expedia has it listed being close to CERN as 3 miles away...it wasnt at all. It was almost 2 hours away from CERN. There is also a railroad directly behind the hotel. The rooms have a small kitchen and there is a store around the corner. Get this hotel if you want to do Geneva on the cheap, otherwise, the location is bad.

Budget but comfortable

Needed a hotel within easy reach of Geneva airport and also Morzine as was visiting relatives. The hotel room was like a studio apartment - compact but perfect for 3 adults. Had breakfast 1st day but not everything they said was available in the welcome brochure appeared to be on offer so didn't bother after that especially as we had a kitchenette in the room with fridge, kettle, 2 ring hob, microwave etc. Disappointed that the tea/coffee provided on arrival was not refreshed daily but a minor problem. Did not have air con but there was a fan - too noisy to use at night. Was a lot cheaper than staying in Geneva itself and on a bus route from there so convenient. Right next to railway track but this was not a problem at all - very quite trains which did not run through the night. Good value for the price we paid.

We had a very pleasant stay in the Comfort Suites Porte De Geneve hotel. The staff was exceptionally nice and the rooms (we had 2 in 1) had everything we needed - three single beds, small kitchen with microwave, sink, 2 hobs, utensils and even a tiny dishwasher! Very clean and with a huge bathroom. The hotel is 45 min away from Geneva central train station, but easily accessible via bus 61 (bus stop is 5 min away from the hotel). Super close to a shopping area with good shops and many restaurants for tasty food. Recommend!

This is a budget hotel with a utilitarian look and feel. Having said that, the room was a decent size, the kitchen was well equipped and the sound insulation was good (my room overlooked a railway track). Everything worked. The multilingual staff were all welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed my stay more than I expected to.

My second stay there. Nice staff, good facilities and very well situated in terms of proximity to town and public transport.
But bed very hard, could do with extra pillows. And main issue - the noise. The doors are too heavy for the construction and bang closed. Very close to railway line on 1 side and road on the other, so wherever you are you can't escape. Needs better noise insulation.

Hotel which lacks a lot unfortunately.

The wi fi was painfully slow...and most of the time, it wouldn't work at all...unless you were using it at 2am in the morning. We were told the TV would have host of international channel, which it did...but just ONE news channel in English.
Lastly, the cleanliness of the room was a disappointment as well. The shelves in cupboard were really dusty along with a bowel in the kitchenette being unwashed from previous use.
Overall, it would definitely be 2 out of 5.

New suite hotel near the Annemasse railway station. A little out of the way for those traveling to Geneva, but the facility is clean and comfortable with good sized rooms. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Pretty good value overall.

We were stopping off for 1 night in Geneva and booked in here. It's actually in France about 2km from Geneva. All in the hotel is ok and modern but the surrounding area is still a building site. I think in a couple of years it will be a good place to stay when the development is finished. Great shopping for everyone a couple of streets away.Parking a bit hard to find behind and under the hotel acceced from a near by roundabout.

Absolutely brilliant hotel.

I was expecting the hotel to be okay but it was so much more when I arrived. The staff are fantastic, the hotel was clean, warm, tidy and basically brand new. It's situated in a developing area which will soon be bigger in the next couple of years I'm assuming. The train station was just up the road. (2 minute walk) and mini supermarkets were ipjust over the road. The 61 bus picks you up from the next road over and drops you straight into Geneva. If I ever visit Geneva again, I'll definitely be staying at this hotel again. Also I recommend adding on the breakfast, which is cheaper to add when you arrive at hotel. Fantastic! Something to satisfy everyone.

Les chambres ne donnant pas sur les voies SNCF doivent échapper à ce significatif inconvénient, mais je n'en ai pas bénéficié.
Je ne reprendrai pas le risque de ne pas en bénéficier...

Quand il fait chaud le ventilateur n est pas suffisant en plus il y a pas dans la 2eme chambre du même appartement.
Le petit dejeuner n est tres varié et trés limité en qualité et en quantité.
Malheureusement le bruit des train est derrangeant surtout à l'ouverture des fenêtres obligatoire à cause de la chaleur et manque de la climatisation.
Staff est agréable et professionnelle chose qui pousse à refaire l expérience dans cet établissement.
Chambres sont bien et le coin cuisine est un plus agréable.

Moquette tachée, flexible de douche dévissé, porte de douche sortie de ses gonds, plus de piles dans la télécommande de la TV, chaînes de la TNT manquantes (pas mises à jour), tablette du frigo cassée. On est loin des standards d'un 3 étoiles !
Petit déjeuner correct... sauf si vous avez le malheur d'arriver en même temps qu'un groupe. Dans ce cas : pas de fruits, pas d'oeufs brouillés, pas de fromages de qualité, confitures en petite barquette plastique, pas de muffins.
En conclusion : un hôtel du type Ibis budget pour le prix d'un 3 étoiles !

Attention caution et pas de clim

il y a une caution à payer, ce qui n’est pas dit sur l’annonce, il fait trop chaud dans les chambres, il n’y a pas de climatiseur juste un ventilateur qui ne suffit pas.
les chambres sont propres et personnel agréable.

Pour ce second séjour ils m'ont donné une chambre dédiée aux personnes à mobilité réduite, donc pas très adapté quand vous mesurez 1,80m. Sinon le confort, la propreté, l'emplacement, le parking intégré à l'établissement, les offres de restauration à proximité... Tout va bien.

Pire qu’un formule 1 ou qu’un hospice Samu Social

Coussins qui puaient le sale ! Maigres les traités d’oreillers propres. Les coussins ou t’aient le sale au point de m’en empêcher de dormir avec… donc j’ai dormi sans oreillers.
Le sol était mal lavé…la TV ridiculement petite…
