L’hôtel est situé en bordure de la zone piétonne. Près des restaurants et des boutiques. Tres pratique. Pour le stationnement, on utilise le stationnement payant et l’hôtel accordé une réduction de 30%. Le stationnement est à 2 minutes à pied de l’hotel. Très pratique.

The hotel was okay, but there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, even when the window open. The cleaning was well done, so no complaints there, but in these circumstances (of someone smoking inside the room) they should wait before putting the room up for another guest.

I was supposed to spend 5nights but I checked out after the 4th night,No air conditioning,I was extremely hot and sweating during my stay. My room wasn’t cleaned throughout my stay, every
time I ask them at the reception they say rooms can only by cleaned after the 4th night in their hotel so I asked what if my stay isn’t up to that and the lady at the reception said then the room doesn’t get cleaned at all. The response was shocking, I just walked away with paper towels she gave me in my hands. There is no interphone in the rooms, To communicate with the hotel staff,you have to go all the way down with the elevator to the reception. The smell from the hotel entrance to the reception is unpleasant. I had mosquitoes in my room, Infact I was able to kill one soaked in my blood. To be honest I didn’t enjoy my stay in Campanile Annemasse. I didn’t get value for my money in any way.

We as family stayed here and had 3 rooms for 2 nights The entrance into building STUNK SO BAD of garbage disguised with deodorant spray …. i had to cover my mouth and nose everytime or i would gag seriously GROSS
The area IS central to stores and restaurants it is NOT a quiet location
The free buffet for breaky was good and staff at front desk were fabulous
we recommend to stay here minus the stink when entering !!

Had to check in late. Was given the wrong code for the safe to get out room key to enter the hotel. Once finally inside the hotel we were given a room that was occupied. The receptionist opened the door with her master key to that room while someone was asleep.

However check out is at 11am and not 12pm as stated on the website and the reception is on the first floor. On arrival day receptionist was welcoming but spoke only French.

We had difficulty getting to the entrance due to major roadworks on avenue du gare.
The room had a great mountain view with paragliders in the distance.
Many good and drinks options nearby (Crazy Crepes was just outside the entrance)

Upon arrival, we asked for a crib for the baby, and we were told it was being brought up, but it never came. We went back to ask for it, again told it would come, and it never did. After two nights, we asked for housekeeping to come and clean our room. When we got back, all they did was replace all the towels with two towels and take out the trash. They didn't change the sheets, or add more soap into the dispenser or clean the toilet. Finally, on the last day we asked for an iron, First they told my husband someone else was using it. 30 mins later, I sent my daughter to check for it, and they told her there was no iron in the hotel. I sent my husband again, and finally they told the truth, saying the iron was given to another guest, but they had no recollection of which guest or when it would be returned. Overall, the experience was not a good one.

Aircondition not working 25 degrees in my room. Very noisy road seems like people are racing in cars there so not an option to open window. Not clear where to enter turns out reception is not on grin floor but you need to take an elevator up. Inexperienced staff. No taxa service. Definitely overpriced.

Shabby, badly maintained and poorly cleaned hotel with cheap mattresses and pillows. Super hot in the room and there is no way to low down the temperature because an A/C didn’t work. These things made our stay bearable for 2 nights but no way to stay for longer.

Though it’s cheaper than anything in Geneva and close to the city (20 mins by train). The team was nice.

The location was very convenient with many restaurants, a good bakery and a grocery store nearby. The hotel was clean and quiet, staff were friendly and helpful and the beds were comfortable. Basic accommodation with little space to put your belongings. The bath was chipped and there was no anti slip mat but the shower was very good.

The True Evaluation

I have never seen in order to enter in a hotel, you must either ring a bell or have the hotel card to enter. The hotel counter is on upper floor. Just about nobody talk English which is very stupid because there are many tourists in that area. From 11p.m -6:30 a.m. there is no staff in that hotel. So, in case of emergency, I do not know how people can get help. Beds are old and not being comfortable. First day of my check in I noticed they installed the shower door in wrong position, after I complained to them and I brought them upstairs to look at it physically, they realized that was bad and then they changed my room. How can a hotel maintenance fix something and not to check it? And how the cleaning crew can clean the shower area if they cannot get in? not enough towels in my room. Very cheap hotel. I score 2 out of 10.

Note parking is 7 euros per night for 8 hours plus you pay extra hours during the day which can be approx between 7-13 euros as discounted rate is .90 per hour. Rooms are nice. Good location/service--you'll pay a lot to park!

Enjoyed the 3 nights in this hotel a lot! The staff were all very kind and helpful. The breakfast was quite adequate, and the outdoor patio was a nice feature. The hotel is well situated near many many restaurants with other services, like a pharmacy, close by. The room we were given, 102, was very near the reception and breakfast area, so there was noise from there that we didn't like. My big complaint about this hotel is it advertises parking for 7 EUR a night, but fails to mention that you pay additionally for all of the daytime hours! So we ended up paying much more for parking than I had expected. If I had known this ahead of time I would have considered a different hotel. However, it was otherwise a very good stay, and I'd recommend this hotel if the paid parking issue doesn't bother you...

From allowing us to check in early (only by 20 minutes but who's counting) to supplying us with an extra pillow and any other little requests the staff were faultless!

The room itself was a good size and had things placed in reasonable places. The supplied shower gel/shampoo isn't the best but that's personal preference let's be honest...

The bathroom is decent other than the shaver socket isn't in the best place relative to the mirror (looking at the mirror it is behind you, close but behind you none the less) and the grout in the shower would benefit from a good dose of love above the usual clean it gets (nothing mouldy just stains from regular use).

Housekeeping can come round a bit early if you're planning a lie in so you're do not disturb sign is essential for a later rise.

The hotel is well located for access to the railway station and is only a short walk from the 17 tram.

There is also a good choice of food within 5 minutes walk.

All in all would stay again!

It is a clean hotel, no issues there. We had an issue with a shower, as it was just a shower head with no wall attachment, we asked for it to be fixed or to move rooms but we just got told to use our hands to wash and that they would have to clean the room if we moved (not our issue), they also knew the shower was broken. Obviously not the right response and it was handled unprofessionally. We then came back later on in the day to find our hotel door open and unlocked with no one in attendance. After entering the room a few minutes later a plumber came into the room and was fixing the shower. We had no prior warning that anyone was entering the room etc (a phone call would have been good). The following morning we went back to reception and said that the way it was handled was unprofessional and we felt we had been treated very poorly as we had to ask multiple times for something that we had paid for. The shower temperature was now barely warm at a push and we were still in the same room. We asked for some compensation, where none was given. I asked to write a formal complaint and the receptionist said it would go to her and nothing would be done. On our last night at around 7pm of our 3 night stay, they had a change of heart and decided to move our room and offer complementary breakfast (after we had contacted hotels.com). In my opinion this was too little too late. That should have been done on the first day, after we complained no more than an hour of being in the hotel.

it was very difficult to get into this hotel. We are driving and there is one small car pull out space to go in and register. Many trips around the block waiting for a car to exit the space. Very busy roads and construction right outside the window. When entering the hotel on the ground floor you are in a lobby with no signage to tell you to go up to 1st floor. There is notice in the elevator but very frustrating. Confusing to say the least. The rooms are adequate in size and cleanliness. Price is under $100 for the room and breakfast so budget friendly.

Competitively priced and very clean with few frills. In the broad style of an Ibis. Excellent located for transport to central Geneva - the high-frequency 61 bus stops right outside. Annemasse has some good restaurants. I recommend L'Alsacienne in Place de l'Hotel de Ville in particular (it has superb fish and it is also friendly to lone guests).

Hotel was ok, bed was comfy, and staff were friendly. Air con worked well. Pillows were not good though and I did not sleep well. The breakfast area was chaos in the morning. The surrounding area is run down, but is being done up. Not sure where you would leave a car if you were in one, as the hotel itself did not have any obvious parking.

Never stayed in a hotel before where there wasn't at least 1 ice machine available to guests. Need EURS $$, not Swiss Franc in the area

Great place. Far from center, approx. 60 mins ride, but they have a great transport system. Suggest download their transit app before arrival to Switzerland, that way you can plan your air fare times. Much cheaper to take the transit than the taxi, but transit doesn't run overnight. Excellent staff. Buy your transit tickets at the front desk is easier. One ticket can take you all the way from Annemase to city center without paying different tickets, which will end up costing you more.

Most importantly, Annemase is located close to France, so be ready to speak some French and they use EURS $$ in Annemase area. Bring more EURS than Swiss Franc. I didn't use much Swiss Franc really as a tourist.

Very nice hotel. I enjoyed the stay.

Nice little hidden gem in Annemasse/France..

Lovely weekend experience at this hotel.. location is fantastic if your intention is to visit Geneva without paying the extortionate prices that go with it.. From the airport get a free ride into the city and stop 4 near the church outside, catch the pink line bus number 61.. tickets can be purchased from the bus driver.... 35 mins later you are dropped off at the hotel front..the hotel itself is very modern and very clean.. breakfast is just perfect to start your day with.. brilliant variety.. C&A and H&M very nearby with good bakeries, supermarket and eat outs dotted around.. staff at the hotel we had pleasure in dealing with was, 'Adrian' and a lovely young lady in the evenings.. both were very helpful and really commited in providing their guests with exceptional service... Overall we really enjoyed our stay at The Campanille and we have no hesitations in recommending it to others..we are planing to visit the Geneva International Motor Show again next year and therefore we will make our base at this hotel again.. they even provided complimentary transport coach tickets to the motor show and back as well as discounted admission tickets.. what's there not to like...

A very good alternative to staying in Geneva.

We stayed at this hotel because we didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to stay in Geneva. This hotel is in an excellent location. Right in the heart of Annemasse. Lots of bars and restaurants and a 45 minutes bus ride to Geneva central. The bus stops almost in front of the hotel. The train station is a couple of blocks away.

Overall, this property was good. I booked this room specifically based on the website's description that the property was close to the Geneva airport and that an airport shuttle was available, which were both false. No airport shuttle existed and it took an hour via public transportation to get to the airport. During rush hour, the bus and train would have been too crowded to provide ample space for luggage. Though this hotel was described as having bilingual staff, the nightshift staff knew very little English. In addition, the area in which the property is located is included within the Swiss Travel Pass, however no one knew anything about that. In addition, the hotel staff did not understand what modes of transportation was covered by the bus tickets they sold (which covered the bus, tram and train between the hotel in France to anywhere in the Geneva, Switzerland area).

This hotel provides no shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion or soap. The room I was in had no closet (only a very small area for hanging about 5-6 clothing items). Also, the website I booked this on indicated that free coffee and tea was available all day in the general space, however it was only available if I made it myself in my room.

Wifi was extremely slow. Room was quite clean but I found hairs on the bed and toilet seat which is quite disgusting. However, the bed is very comfortable. You will get a free unlimited transport ticket if you stay in any hotels in geneva. I only know that after I arrived geneva. I'd recommended pay more for staying in geneva hotels since it save much time and the expensive cost of transportation.

Excellent value quality hotel as a base for Geneva

We chose this hotel as a base for a short visit to Geneva. Access to Geneva was excellent via the 61 bus which stopped right outside the hotel. Bus tickets were available at reception too. Parking was included but due to the one way system a little tricky to find.
The room was modern, clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful. Breakfast was extra but the selection was excellent and of high quality.
The wifi was complimentary but very slow; don't expect to upload photographs easily or check out your favourite TV.
Annamasse is a busy town with a large variety of restaurants at much lower prices than neighbouring Geneva.
The Hotel did have an issue with the fire alarm the night we stayed. 2 evacuations, one in the evening and one at 7am. The staff apologised and blamed people smoking in their rooms. It did not spoil our stay.

Beware. There was a dog barking across from my room throughout my three night stay. I was told on the first night that officially no pets were allowed but that people often violated the rules. The hotel staff took absolutely no responsibility for enforcing its regulations.

Good hotel for a short stay

Very pleased overall. Breakfast is excellent, staff are extremely helpful, and the room is comfortable and clean. Nothing special, but exceeded expectations. Wifi is very slow but free. Would definitely stay again. A great budget option if you have business in Geneva and don't mind the 20 min drive in.

Nice Hotel in a mixed area

The train station is undergoing long-term repairs so you have to ride the 61 bus line to Geneva (55 minutes). There are nice shops nearby but also many empty shops and demolition right next to the Hotel. However for the price it was a good value.
