The hotel for what I needed was perfect . My whole reason was to visit La Basilica de Guadalupe and it was a short taxi drive away. The area is not great and the hotel is a little run down but I still thought it was perfect for me.

Food was terrible I call in for towels and they never send them then call the next day and they said that they changed the towels every two days the towels were super old leaks everywhere when using the shower at restaurant order coffee and it was cold when asked to take it back to get reheated the lady got upset at the end I still have her a tip

The lobby receptionist was very accommodating. He checked us in right away. The hotel is very closed to the bus terminal. It only took us about 10 minutes to get there…very convenient as we stayed only for a night before we took the bus to Guanajuato early in the morning. The room was clean but smelled moldy. Our room was facing a major street so it was very noisy as trucks were constantly passing by. Overall it is ok for very short stays; otherwise this might not be the hotel you might be looking for.

Muy buen lugar. Mucho espacio en el cuarto y bano. Tiene todo lo que necesita. Ventilador en la pared, escritorio con silla y dos sillones. Me encantó el restaurante en el vestibulo. The hotel does not have air conditioning. It was hot and when we asked for at least a fan we were told to wait until one became available. The room next to us became vacant and it had a fan in it. We informed the front desk as the weather was hot that day and we were told to wait until house keeping took it downstairs. The fan was never taken to our room. We had to sleep with the windows open and it was hard to sleep as you can hear all the traffic from outside pass by very loudly. Overall it was not a good experience.

Welcome respite after a long, warm day.

Everything looked very clean. Showers need upgrading (rusting showerhead), door leaks quite a lot of water into the bathroom, but the bathroom has a bidet. No place for soap or a towel by the bidet, which is the norm.

It was an average experience for us for visiting the 1st time in Mexico City. We were there for the festival of Mary of Guadalupe and Hotel Escala central de Norte was very close to the basilica. The hotel staffs were friendly. The hotel is older and there were no closet or dresser for our clothes. Overall it was an average experience for us to come sleep and rest for the trip.

A 7 minutos caminando de la central del norte, muchas opciones para comer alrededor de la central y dentro a las 10 de la noche andábamos caminando y todo tranquilo, lo único molesto es el ruido de los autos en toda la noche, el personal muy amable y bien limpio todo. No tiene aire acondicionado.

This area of the city was recommended to us as we wanted to visit the pyramids of Teotihuacan, Chapultepec and not be too far from the airport.
Our room here was pretty big, clean and in good condition. We ate at the restaurant downstairs once and the food was ok. There are some little shops and kitchens within a block if you are hungry or need any toiletries etc. We were happy with our stay here and would pick this hotel again.

The hotel itself is really nice and I thoroughly enjoyed the rooms. The only con was that it was pretty far away from all the major monuments. However, transportation in cdmx is really affordable and close to the hotel so it was not a big deal. I felt pretty safe here :)

I’m a little upset about this place. 1 there’s no air conditioning, 2 the wifi constantly cuts out. My neighbors were extremely loud in the hallways and were smoking in their rooms. Only one outlet worked, and there’s no Netflix or modern television. This place is nice but the owners need to do some serious renovations.

Never Again!!

I have stayed at Motels paid by the hour better than this. To begin I had to wait for a room even after getting 30 mins after my check in time, then I had to go ask 30 minutes later if the room was ready. Towels are sand paper, shower door leak water into sink and bathroom area. Bathroom “vanity” is more like a shame sink. NO AC! It gets HOT!!.. 2 star Hotel maybe!

It's a motel basically, I got the last room of the hotel which had 2 massive AC openings into the room that wouldn't close, unsafe. Manager rude. I didn't get another room or refund. I left this awful place whitout hesitation.

I like the fact that I will NEVER reserve with them again.
I dislike the employees lask of attendance
-they did NOT respect my reservation (even though i paid in advance)
-they did not help me find another accommodation
-Tania sat giggling with the guy that works in the \"passing 4 hour motel\"
-Tania stood on her phone the whole time and did the bare minimum
-Tania was lazy
-they made excuses as to why they did not respect my reservation but i have ALL the emails and conversation codes and Tania even admitted she could see the messages of when I asked for a higher floor.
-first it was \"well we dont have rooms\" then it was \"well we dont have your reservation\", THEN it was an offer to pay additional money so I could [sleep] in the [adult themed motel] in the back.

Do NOT stay here. Expedia should take this \"business\" off of their site.

The staff is nice, I have to say it, however, my room had no AC, so I had to open the windows and hear the noise, small or loud from other people, around the night, what made my sleep poor and bad. The bed, certainly a pleasant big king size was sadly very hard and ultimately unpleasant for me. The bidet, something I consider important for a hotel visit. was not working either, so, very disappointing interior place that on its exterior appearance looks nice and inviting.

The hotel shakes every time a large vehicle drives by, it feels like an earthquake. Literally it rocks the building, not kidding!

The cleanliness is not there, they don't change the towels daily.

The beds are hard.

The location is said to be 4 minutes from the basilica. It is a 15 to 20 minute uber ride depending on traffic.

There is no AC.

This place had a big sign outside that it has been close to the public, front door was closed. When we got there we didn’t even want to go in because it was kind of creepy. There was a creepy man outside and told us to go thru the back door passing the parking lot. At the reception was a lady very unfriendly, place was kind of dark, she asked us if we had a reservation, we said yes, but we were already nervous about the place. My husband ask her why the place was closed to the public she said that she wouldn’t give us that information and it was out choice to stay or not but they were not going to give us our refund ( we already paid thru Expedia). This place basically is illegally operating.
We had our 2 kids with us and the place felt really creepy and unsafe, so we left and got another hotel.
I’m still waiting for an answer from Expedia to get out refund.

Our hotel room was nice and had what we needed. However, the towels were quite old/dirty. Also, it was a bit difficult to sleep comfortably as there is no air conditioning. We expected the breakfast which is included with the room to actually be a breakfast, but it was just toast, coffee and orange juice. Luckily it’s restaurant has more on the menu for your own purchase.

No a single hanger in the closet.
Long hair on 3 out of 4 pillows.
The wndows are frosted which gives the room an eary feeling.
The lock on the window was broken and stuck;as there is a flat roof right below the window not a safe situation.
Included breakfast is minimal. 2 white slices of bread, butter, juice and coffee (tasted instant) coffeemate.
The check-in counter is bank like through thick glass partition.

Fast and excellent service. Great room space for the price we paid. There were a dee things that would need improvement, such us updating the USB ports to adapt to new and updated electronics. Make some maintenance to the shower and restroom doors. Overall, awesome stay.

Horrible hotel in a horrible neighborhood

The bathroom had a ceiling leak, the windows to the street had big air gaps, the elevator was not working properly, the restaurant was out of service, the neighborhood is dark, dirty and ugly. Worst of all, the hotel has a motel next door, with suspicious looking cars coming and going all the time. I never felt safe, and I am from Mexico City. I definitely would stay away from this place.
