The room was as described with everything you could need, save for maybe a slightly comfier chair. Booked the hotel for proximity to station and transport links and it didn't disappoint, comfy, nice bathroom, mini-bar if you wanted to use it, desk and chair. We booked as a base to explore Rennes and to take in a concert at nearby Pace, so never intended spending hours in the room - perfect for what we wanted and good value. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Considering a concert return in 2026 and would definitely stay again

We had a lovely welcome from Kevin. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a nice size, we were not at the front of the hotel so nice and quiet mostly. The theme of the room was nice.
There is only one small elevator and the while the room was serviced daily, they only left 1 bath towel for two? Reception gave us extra towels when we asked. Heating was not good in our room, but we were given a column heater, which was great. Overall our 7 night stay there went well. Very handy to train and bus station.

Very close to the historical areas. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good, as restaurants were very nearby.

Walkable to the train and bus to Mont Saint Michel with Keolis Bus, Train station has 2 convenient stores, mcdonalds and other coffee shops, they have closed doors at night however for early train they open earlier. The hotel is amazing and Kevin is the Plus ! and the rest of the staff loves customers, you can see how they enjoy to attend you, room was clean, showers and bathroom very spacious! Wonderful hotel to stay in Rennes!

A room with a view

Like others, the reason I chose Kyriad was its proximity to the station. My room looked directly at the station, a one minute walk away.
It’s modern, stylish and nicely done in the contemporary minimalist style and everything worked.
The breakfast was satisfying if ordinary.

On the positive side it is VERY close to the train station and dining options. Also, the staff were very helpful and kind. The breakfast options were better than expected. On the negative side, we are all 6’ tall and the hotel was not designed for us. Two 6’ persons in those rooms is one (or two) too many. We switched hotels after the first night just to feel more comfortable. It isn’t the Kyriad’s fault, just something to know. If you’re tall, go somewhere else. If not, it’s pretty nice and convenient.

Absolutely exceeded my expectations! Easy walking distance downhill from the train station, can see it when you come out of the North exit.
Bright and modern, clean uncomfortable.
Top notch breakfast. Decor in the rooms is a charming extra touch.
We had the 007 Bond room. Quiet, full blackout curtains. Many good restaurants within walking distance. About 15 min stroll up to old center

This place was so handy, being straight across the street from the train station. Check in was easy and the room was clean, comfortable, quiet and easily darkened. It was a short walk into the oldest part of Rennes. Good restaurants in the area, too.

Hotel overall was good but when i returned to my room on the night i discovered lots of ants in the bathroom and into the bedroom, although they replaced my room (next door), the response next morning was disappointing from the manager all i was offered for my inconvenience was a free continental breakfast and couldn't do any more as i had paid through hotels.com and had had a good price. i wouldn't have tight this was an excuse regardless of who you have booked through or what you have paid poor attitude really

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. There are lots of dining options nearby. The area appears safe.
The hotel is clean and updated. The staff were very helpful. Check in was simple.
The breakfast had a wide variety of options except for scrambled eggs. That I found odd. Perhaps thats an American thing.

Hotel location just in front of main train station ( gare de rennes ). There are many cafes and local restaurant around.

Main bus station also 5minutes by walk. Buses like flixbus, eurolines,etc. Also bus to Le Mont Saint Michel.

Justine was very helpful when we did check in.

Hotel only has 1 lift and its petite.

10 minutes by walk to center commercial.

Overall, we are enjoy our stay in this hotel.

Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

Check in was quick.

The rooms are themed for different cities I believe, simple layout with no closet but an area to hang your clothes.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The old city center and some parks are also within what I would consider walking distance (maybe 1.5-2km)

Great value for money and would stay there again.

Compact room but with everything you need. Beds were incredibly comfortable. We asked for the twin beds to be made up as one bed but that did not happen; however we really enjoyed the space and the amenities.
Incredibly quiet considering the location - they’ve done a great job sound proofing the rooms.

The rooms were really modern and unique. The hotel was very clean and right across the street from the main train station. Only one problem the Wild West room air conditioner wasn’t working and it was very hot on the 5th floor. The other two rooms were cool and comfortable.

Overall a good experience. Nice location across the street from central train station, which makes traveling to other cities for daily trips a breeze.
Person at counter was also extremely helpful and answered all our questions.
Only negative was that we had placed the \"do not disturb sign\" outside the door, but yet everyday someone came inside to clean room when we were not there.
Also a bit noisy due to construction on train station, which seemed to be 24 hours a day.

Good hotel with theme rooms

All rooms come with a movie theme which is fantastic. My son loves it very much!!!
However, a little mishap happened which was the fire alarm that rung twice at midnight. There were both false alarm but I can see that the midnight staff wasn’t trained on how to shut it down.
Apart from that everything is perfect!!!

Great Stay in Harry Potter Room

We had a great stay for 2 nights. The hotel was conveniently located directly next to the train station which was helpful as we planned a day trip to Mont Saint Michel. The staff were friendly and we were able to leave our luggage before and after check in/out. We especially enjoyed the decor iin the Harry Potter room.

Lovely hotel and outstanding service. I can understand now why Kyriad Rennes has such high review. We stayed for one night in Rennes as a transit after visiting Mont St Michel and continue our next stop to Amsterdam. The lovely reception let us store our luggage for one night until the next day we checked in, which helped us alot as there is no luggage storage in Mont St Michel.
The room is lovely with the theme, shower is nice and clean. Bed is comfy.
Too bad we didn't stay longer.

Clean, comfortable room, renovated bathroom, super helpful personnel. Plentiful breakfast and reasonable breakfast price.
The train station is 3 minutes away on foot, making it very easy to visit places like mont St Michel and St malo and Paris.
An improvement would be to somehow expand the breakfast area because it can feel a bit tight but now I an just nit picking.
Loved my stay with them and would definitely stay again. Truly one of the best hotels I have stayed with.

Very convenient for our two night stay and return the next / same day train trip to St Malo. Easy walking to older part of Rennes. Staff friendly with good English. Only challenge was on our last day the elevator to our 5th floor room was out of service. But, these things happen. Good breakfast and comfy bed. Great tub for bubble bath and great shower.

We flew in to Paris from California and took the train to Rennes. Very convenient to the train station. The room was newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The staff friendly, helpful, and informative for this English only speaking couple.
The room was very quiet for being so close to the train station. We had their breakfast which was very adequate.

The room was nice, the location was convenient and the hotel staff were friendly, but there were major issues with the wifi. The wifi would not work for more than five minutes at a time and it took 15-20 minutes to reconnect after disconnecting. It was frustrating and a huge inconvenience.

Main plus was a very comfortable bed. Very close to the railway and bus stations. Free Wifi was offered but I couldn't get it to work but I didn't take it up with the friendly desk staff. Pleasant surprise with the standard of service and comfort. Bed very comfortable premium bedding class, bathroom towels excellent. Buffet breakfast recommended very good for 9 euros. Management and staff very attentive, before I forgot minibar inside which is very handy for nibbles and drinks.

It was a nice hotel, and a nice room, 100 yards from the train station. However, we had four issues.
1. Only one electrical outlet (plus another for the coffee pot
2. Bathroom door knob was awkwardly positioned, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch from door jam, making it very difficult to open from the inside
3. Shower head kept moving. It was mounted to a vertical rod which freely rotated
4. Our safe did not work. Displayed low battery warning. Asked front desk twice to fix it. Still not working when we left the next morning on a day trip.. So the safe did not help us.

Good city hotel.

This very friendly hotel was very convenient for the main railway station, metro and main bus station. Although we overlooked the main square in front of the railway station, the room was very well sound proofed and there was no traffic noise at all. Neither could you hear noises from rooms next door.
There were plenty of eating places nearby, plus a bakery, a Tabac, and two little grocery shops. About 10 minutes flat stroll down the road we found a wonderful pedestrianised street, Rue Vasselot, which had everything you wanted, plus a lovely atmosphere. It was just a couple of minutes from the old part of Rennes. When visiting the old part of the city one 'must see' is the PARC du Thabor. These gardens were so colourful and also included was a collection of 100's of different types of roses. Rennes was a great centre to explore the surrounding area by bus and train, all very reasonably priced. All in all, a great stay.Excellent

The hotel is literally directly across the street from the train station in Rennes, as well as about 15 minutes' walk from the center of town. Comfortable room, electric kettle provided. The only down side was that the door knob to the bathroom was extremely difficult to open.
