It was very difficult to find the hotel. When I asked Gmail how to get there I was told to use GPS. But apparently the city is changing and when we arrive they golf us only the Waze app works. So we circled to trying to find the property for about an hour. Also, it is barely a three star property. The lifts are tiny and the rooms small and very basic. Also, the lobby carpet should have been vacuumed much more.

C'est la première fois que je laisse un avis sur Hotels.com, simplement pour signaler que mon séjour s'est très très bien passé.
La chambre était certes très petite, mais il n'y manquait rien de ce qui peut faire un séjour confortable, et il n'y avait aucun petit ou gros défaut qui pourrait occuper négativement votre esprit pendant votre séjour.

Les plus : très près de la gare, et encore plus du métro. Beaucoup de restos autour pour tous les goûts et budgets, à deux pas des Champs Libres et à trois pas du Colombier. Salle de bain très très pratique et confortable. Réception serviable, pas mesquine, ouverte 24/7 (et avec des bonbons...). Bagagerie. Bref, très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Les moins : honnêtement rien pour ma part, à part la taille de la chambre, mais pour moi c'était en fait suffisant pour une nuit.

Our room smelled of cigarettes. The toilet seat was cracked and unhygienic. The door handle came off. It was impossible to close the shower door. There was a fire alarm but the member of staff broke all the rules in dealing with the incident. The hotel is like a rabbit warren with rooms crammed in. The shower room was so cramped it was difficult to do anything. Litter on the floor when we arrived was still there when we left. A fire door was propped open. This is not worthy of 3 stars and should be removed from Hotels.com as not worthy of recommendation.

The family room description is misleading because the 2 twin beds are actually a sofa bed. The restroom door knob was broken. They use an archaic door key, which was very annoying to carry around. The room looks worn out and I desperate need for a remodel. This is more like a 2 star motel rather than a 3 star hotel

Very comfortable stay in city centre. Bed in exec room was superking and really comfortable so we slept very well! The bathroom was adequate, clean with a fantastic shower. The towels were a bit small but honestly value for money wise our stay was excellent.

This hotel has no elevator. We had flies in our room even though we put a sign on our door knob both days to not clean the room, more flies got into the room. That's disgusting! - Our GPS was unable to get the car in front of the hotel, we tried it over and over again for 20 minutes. Finally we schlepped our 3 heavy suitcases about 500 meters to the hotel, then found a parking garage for our rental car.

The front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful. The only issues I had were a) the mould and grunge on the bottom inside of the shower door and b) that all the pillows were too thick and hard which hampered sleep. I had to create my own pillow from towels. Otherwise the hotel is clean and well located

The location was practical and the price was reasonable. I did expect more for an \"executive room\", which was what we reserved. The room we got was more like a basic double room that had a very limited window size opening, making it difficult to air out the room and enjoy a view. The service was fine, the breakfast tasty with friendly and helpful staff. The seafood restaurant right next door was excellent. A choice of eating options and take out was varied and available opposite the train station, just a few meters' walk from the hotel. Overall a very good choice for our two nights' stay.

I have just checked in and they took a deposit for the room. I arrived to find cigarette burns in the carpet, a big bleach stain also in the carpet. Overall, the room is in need of painting and a deep clean. Very disapointed to say thw least.

Welcoming staff, spacious and clean room, lovely breakfast with a local and homemade touch, conveniently located by the train station and within walking distance from the city centre.

Our king size bed was comfortable but not so much the sofa bed for our kids. We had to shut the window in the morning due to the smell of cigarette coming from outside, the bathroom was basic.

I had a late check-in (11pm) but there was someone at the reception. The receptionist was lovely and even recommended some kebab places!!
Room is small but enough size for 1 person. Room was clean and there was a bottle of water coffee to enjoy in the morning.
Also, the fact that it is only 4min walk from the train station of Rennes is a massive .

It is centrally located, 5 minutes walk from the train station. It is also walking distance from the downtown area. We were able to walk everywhere in a short time. It is closed to stores, restaurants, the museum, the library, and the opera house.

Hotel was easy walking distance to train and bus. They have a shared parking with the restaurant next door that can be reserved in advance. If driving in, get directions from the front desk before arriving...the hotel is on a one-way section of a street, easy to get to if you know ahead of time how to manage it.
Elevator is tight, one person/bag at a time. Breakfast was OK, but there is a creperie around the corner worth going to as an alternative if you want something more exceptional. Overall the hotel met all of our needs. It was nice to have a bathroom with a window that opens.

Excellent stay while we traveled in France. We stayed here for two days and took a bus to Mont St Michel from the nearby train station. Room was small but all the room you need for a couple. The breakfast was very nice as was the staff. No issues if you don’t speak French. Plenty of places to eat and just a couple blocks from the station.

Lovely 3*hotel with friendly, English speaking staff who were very helpful recommending restaurants& places to visit. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious- it was also very quiet despite overlooking a main road. The only negative was that we were unable to obtain wi-fi. The hotel is an excellent location within 5minutes of the bus &railway stations (which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment) & within a couple of minutes of several fantastic restaurants. It is only a 10minute walk to the city centre.

A pleasant, central hotel in Rennes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is good for the train station and the city center. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a typical continental style buffet. On the downside the Wifi was slow and blocked some web based games and the lift is very small.

Normally, \"near the train station\" isn't synonymous with \"great area\", but this was a good location within easy walking distance of downtown and with good restaurants nearby. Good creperies abound in Rennes, and the one around the corner, facing the train station (l'Épi de Blé, the blade of wheat) is great. On the opposite corner from that is an excellent bakery, called Joseph, for coffee, etc. My room was tiny, just enough room for a single bed and a small desk, but the rate was good and I enjoyed my stay.

Good location, just few minutes walk from the train station and bus station, can't say much about the metro station cause I have never use it but it only took me 15 minutes walk to the very central part of the city.

Few top restaurants on TripAdvisor just down the street, there is one little store next to the hotel as well. Guess you can't complaint much given that value of money.

I stayed overnight in this hotel. If you plan to spend an evening and the following morning exploring the city it is a good hotel to stay in. There is no problem finding parking nearby even if you have to pay for it. It's affordable. The hotel staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast should be improved. The room was comfortable and clean. No noise at night.

We are Americans who lived in Rennes years ago, and were back in town for a series of events in the centre ville. This hotel, only a few minutes' walk from the train station, provided a fine base for us at a very reasonable rate. It was meticulously clean, with friendly service and English speaking when necessary. Several nice restaurants and brasseries are located on this section of Rue Janvier. We didn't take advantage of the 9.90 euro breakfast (our room was discounted and the price did not include breakfast), since we were sleeping in--but did check it out, and it included eggs and yogurt beyond the usual continental offerings. We'd stay there again happily.

The service is really great. The hotel allowed me drop my luggage before the check-in time. The staff is really nice and friendly. The room is clean; however, I can easily hear the voice/ sounds from upper floor and the hallway so the sleeping quality is not that good. Overall, it is still a small and nice hotel.

We received the coldest reception from this hotel in our whole trip. No greetings nor smile. Even hotels in smaller towns exhibited more professionalism than the reception desk here. The counter desk coldly asked \"Name please\" even though we presented the confirmation with our names on it. After which, the standard instructions was read out emotionlessly .No at all friendly, helpful and warm as recorded in most reviews. Would not recomend or stay here again .

L'hôtel est vraiment bien placé, proche du centre ville, de la gare, du parc de Thabor. Certaines chambres sont un peu vétustes, avec humidité mais comme le personnel est très communicatif et très arrangeant vous oubliez tout et surtout que des travaux dont prévus ! Bon séjour solo d'une nuit

J'ai passé un bonne nuit dans cet hotel très bien placé à proximité de la gare de Rennes.
A noter que ma chambre n'avait pas été faite mais une autre chambre m'a été donnée sans délai. Un dimanche à 23 heures si l'hotel avait été complet cela aurait pu être plus compliqué.
