Lovely restaurant great quality food.
The breakfast was sadly limited with not enough hot food, egg had run out and had to keep asking for things that had run out. Not enough food put out for guests.
Hotel grounds are not that nice around the pool, could do with improvement. Not very nice to see the illegal camping outside the grounds

This hotel was perfect for my partner and I because it has a large carpark and is near the ring road. We were driving through France so it was an ideal base to stop in Rennes.

We had to get a taxi into the city to explore it, but that was fine for us.

It is a clean, well equipped and comfortable hotel and it's great value.

The massive shopping centre nearby is a plus, but I would not visit this area of the city if you want to experience the culture and nightlife of Rennes.

At check in I spoke in French to the receptionist but she insisted in responding in English - I wasnt struggling to understand or make myself understood - thankfully no other staff members we encountered did this - it's rude.

Booking through Expedia the room was described as having 1 double bed and 2 singles but the room we were given had a double bed and a sofa bed. Luckily the sofa bed was comfortable.

Dinner at the restaurant wasn't great and the vegetarian option was especially poor.

The double bed and pillows weren't comfortable.

The bathroom was spotless ... there was no mould around the shower base or the shower heads ... this is quite rare even in 4 and 5 star hotels.

The bathroom sink wasn't great ... it was very low and the tap was too low also.

Breakfast was good ... plenty of choice. The female staff member at breakfast was rude and dismissive.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't stay again as the bed wasn't comfortable ... this is kind of essential!

Nice restaurant, interior has been modernized and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Outside in need of a makeover. No door on the shower meant the floor in the bathroom got wet quickly.

The toilet in our room wasn’t cleaned properly after the last guest which was disappointing.

Having said that, we enjoyed our night in the hotel and would come back for a longer stay.

We stayed here for an overnight stop on way to Roscoff. Ideal location. Very convenient. Very friendly staff on arrival who spoke good English. Room clean and very comfortable beds. Room quiet. Had a meal in the restaurant which was amazing! Breakfast was also delicious. Highly recommend this hotel.

Really lovely hotel, really close to the mall- room was really clean and the staff is welcoming, polite and really helpful. The bar of the hotel has really nice cocktails and it is quite cheap for its quality. The swimming pool was a plus and it was nice in the morning to start the day right!

The hotel common areas are very clean and comfortable, however, the room has very dirty carpets, and stinky pillows and sheets. It was also not very accesible for the cart with our bags, we had to transfer the bags because there is no ramp available.

The hotel is hidden a little, but in a good location for the area's biggest shopping mall and Rennes' ring Road. The staff are attentive & friendly. The room decor is a little dated, but clean and the bed is comfortable. Wifi was included in the price and is decently fast.

Hotel is located very close to Alma shopping center and less than one kilometer from the metro station. Room is of decent size with small bathroom equipped with shower. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast is nice and sufficient with hot and cold items and as much coffee as you want.

Great place for a short break, we chose it to break up our holiday journey from SW France on the way home. Reception and restaurant management spoke great English, waiting staff struggled - but we coped between Franglaise quite happily (some words in English and some in French).

Rennes was a real treat, we used the subway to add to the kids experience, and the very nearby shopping mall was useful for all the family (wife shopping supermarket, kids new watches!)

Overall, recommend the hotel to anyone, business or pleasure.

good stay including breakfast .Pool too cold for the children or adults so that was a dissapointment as our kids could have played in the pool for hours otherwise. As a result the pool was empty for the two days we stayed. Helpful staff and clean everywhere. We would not book again simply because the pool is so important for us as a family

Hotel is perfect for when travelling from Cherbourg/Caen to South West France. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds (we had a double and 2 single sofa beds for the kids) and roomy shower. Staff were friendly and breakfast was fine but maybe a little expensive if you don't get it as part of the deal. The exterior looks a bit drab but don't let that put you off. It's fine inside!

I booked this hotel as a stopover for my family and didn't expect too much in the way of child friendly features...but we all had a great time: swimming pool & sun loungers, children's play room, Xbox, board games, table tennis, small playground and an 'electronic coffee table' full of computer games. Dinner & breakfast were also very child friendly. Nice, clean room, good food. Great value.

We were needing a hotel for the night after landing at Paris on an overnight flight. We were taking a flight from Dinard the next day. This hotel met our needs perfectly. We asked to eat in the restaurant a little earlier and this was accommodated. The food was good, cod cooked perfectly. The bed was incredibly comfortable so we slept well. Wi-Fi was fast when we used it. The only negative was the wet shower as we had to mop up the water which seeped beyond the shower area.
The hotel was quiet when we were there and we didn't explore the local neighbourhood.

Conveniently located child friendly hotel.

We stayed 6 nights using the hotel as a base to explore Rennes and Brittany. We chose this Novotel rated 4 star as we had previously stayed at the Novotel in Lisbon, also rated 4 star and excellent. However, to call this hotel 4 star, I felt was wide of the mark. The style, furnishings and decor etc was more like a Travelodge. Also no porter to help with bags etc. Had it been a 2 or even 3 star hotel, we probably would have been quite happy. The staff did their best despite being stretched. The same staff were having to man reception, serve in the bar as well as waiting in the restaurant. We also had a dispute when we arrived over the type of room we had booked until I produced the paper work and even then they tried to blame Expedia and told us to sort it out with Expedia before eventually backing down after initially giving us a room where the air conditioning didn't work. However, in fairness there were good points. Free secure parking, free wifi, inexpensive for August, easy to access off the motorway network, child friendly, a swimming pool and close to the Metro for getting into the center of Rennes.

Hotel & everything about it was great. Positioned just off the main ring round it was easy to find and get away from when leaving. The pool was a definite bonus given the temperatures that we had. Staff were very helpful and hotel provided free wifi & PC usage whilst staying there. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Only negative thing was that the AC in the room wasn't up to the task.

Although the area is in the middle of extensive modernisation the hotel which is just across the road was unaffected in fact once in the grounds you feit no building work was being carried out.asyou entered the reception there was a sense that staff took pride in their work place ,would stay and recommend this hotel.

Hotel was modern, clean with reasonable sized rooms, friendly staff that can speak english. The restaurant was reasonably priced and open for lunch and dinner. The metro station is about a 20 minute walk away (only one line) which takes you into central Rennes. The shopping complex opposite is in the process of being refurbished internally and externally and is therefore a bit messy.
