Room was small but comfortable, only issue was nowhere to hang clothes as the plastic clips on the hangers couldn’t hold any weight. Breakfast was fine and there is secure parking. Location was good and easy to walk everywhere centrally.

Hotel was very good and a short walk from the rail and bus station. Staff were extremely helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable, breakfast was great with a variety of offerings.
The only unusual thing was the shower that sprays water around the bathroom because there is nothing to block the spray. Don't put anything in there that could get wet !
Loved our stay and we slept very well.

Hotel is in a good location and the old town is within walking distance. There are also some good restaurants around.
The service was great and the staff friendly. Room is a bit on the smaller side compared to other ibis styles but still good. It was clean, but the carpet had many stains - should be cleaned. The overall condition was still acceptable.
Breakfast was very nice and tasty.

Well located and very friendly staff

This is a great hotel in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly. We had to leave quite early for the airport and they called us a taxi and went out of their way to get us some juice and croissants before we went despite breakfast not starting for another 2 hours. The room was a little on the small side but was clean and tidy so can’t complain. I would stay again for sure.

we could not sleep,

1.the air-conditioning makes a lot noises. and the worse is the ventilation system, it makes irregular noise in every a couple minutes. we asked to change the room at middle night. You know what, the same problem with the second room, we just gave up

2. when someone closed his door, the window is shaking in the room. we left the hotel at 7, as we could sleep at all ,and we met some other guests at the check-out. actually they complain about the same issue. It means not only we feel the noise is too terrible.

Very nice hotel. Service excellent and receptionist spoke English. Breakfast very good. Bedroom comfortable with air conditioning -. very necessary in this hot weather. Fabulous shower in bathroom Unfortunately the location of the hotel not soo good as beside Rennes \Station which is being renovated and surrounding area rather shabby. However when renovations completed I am sure the area will improve.

Just the size of the room, I felt like I was on Brittany Ferries, the bathroom was just as small and I could hardly get past the bed to the desk.
But the breakfast was wonderful from getting freshly squeezed orange juice to having eggs Cooked to perfection.

I used this hotel as my base to do some big day trips from, so I didn’t spend a lot of time there. The room was small and I had no control over the aircon (and it got so hot at night I had a bit of trouble sleeping), but the breakfast was really good, there are some nice restaurants around and it’s right across from the train station so very convenient.

Convenient to Rennes Gare

The room was comfortable enough for a one night stay to board a morning train. The difficult part was the heavy antiseptic smell in the room. The room also overlooked the busy street and was noisy unless the window was completely closed, keeping in the unpleasant cleaning product smell. The bathroom was an odd glassed-in room inches away from the bed. The staff offered to move us to another room after being alerted to the off-putting smell but by then we had settled in and just needed to sleep.

Located adjacent to the Rennes Train Station. Staff spoke English and was very friendly and helpful. When arriving on a late train after the rental car agencies are closed, this is a very convenient place to stay until you can get your car the next morning. The room was so small I could barely turn around, but it did the job perfectly well for the 8 hours I was there. Breakfast was included for me.

I stayed in Rennes two nights for business. The hotel is conveniently located just across from the train station. The hotel is generally clean and modern but the room was tiny and I could hardly move. The desk was in a position that you could not sit down and had an uncomfortable chair - impossible to do work. The amenities were nothing. Breakfast was ok.

Me and my wife were pretty sure we have paid once the city tax when we check-in. And they asked us again to pay when we check-out. I did inform the staff that we’ve paid, but she said she didn’t see it. And they never issue receipt for that small amount. Amount is small and I didn’t have any receipt. No point to argue and I just paid again.

Although it is just a small amount of money. But I think they should still issue receipt for that, or building a clearer system to avoid confusion.

This hotel is very close to the Rennes train station. With the room it's included the breakfast which comes with variety of breads, fruit and drinks. Although as a protein, there are only ham and egg available. Hotel staff is very friendly.

Really enjoyable stay in a very conveniently located hotel for the Gare de Nord train station, and bus station. Breakfast was very nice, and complimentary bottle of water in the room each day was a nice touch (along with free teas and coffees next to reception as well) Bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The room would be considered small by some, but it was perfect for my needs.

It was just the one night, the room was very small, but functional. Parking was okay as I parked in the street near by and luckily arrived just 10 minutes prior to free parking, so put money into the meter so I could check in, there is free parking overnight until 09.00 next morning and I left before that time. There a number of restaurants for dinner very close by, so convenient..

This was a great little convenient hotel for my friend and I to spend one night in Rennes after taking the train from Paris and before renting our car (right near the hotel). the rooms are spacious enough and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is great (everything from crepes to fresh-squeezed orange juice). The staff was quick, professional, and courteous.

Stayed here for one night to break our train journey south from Paris. We chose it for the price and location so close to the railway station seeing we had to get a train early the next morning.

This hotel is excellent value. The rooms are well maintained and clean but are small. The service is good, the breakfast excellent. Definitely recommend if you want to be near the railway. Unfortunately road work and railway work made it tricky to get to at present but this will no doubt be resolved soon.

Very handy for the station

Very close to the railway station - ideal, as we arrived in a thunderstorm. Rooms small but OK for a short stay. Surprisingly excellent breakfast for a small hotel, and the breakfast was included in the price. Close to good restaurants, under a minute to the Metro entrance but the distance to the old town is easily walkable.
Our room was fine but our companion's stank horribly of tobacco smoke, despite being non-smoking.

Very Good for a Hotel near Train Station

Hotel right next to train station and car rental agency but extremely quiet in room - probably due to soundproofing. Beds very comfortable and staff helpful and pleasant. This was the only hotel during our 2 weeks in Brittany that included (a nice) breakfast in the price which was actually one of the more reasonable prices we paid in the area. It was an easy walk into the Old Town which surprised me by how much there is to see and how nice it is.

Convenient and quiet!

This newly refurbished hotel is tops on convenience - beside the train station and the metro (yet no noise), beside bars, cafés and restaurants. The metro takes you effortlessly and cheaply to the old centre of Rennes and more shops than are beside the hotel. The staff are laid back but efficient and very courteous. The buffet breakfast includes freshly squeezed orange juice. I'd be delighted to return. A single room has everything but space! Full marks to IBIS Styles in Rennes.

I had no room to put my clothes or luggage. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The breakfast staff was very friendly and hard working. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. I really liked the water and tea availability throughout the day. It was very convenient. The location of the hotel is awesome. The Internet worked very well compared to other hotels I have stayed at.

Stayed over in Rennes as a stopover to Mont St Michel. Located a stone's throw away from the railway station and bus station, this hotel is extremely convenient.

Room is of reasonable size and clean, breakfast included in the room rate is fantastic!

Staff at reception speak passable English and are quite helpful.

Great hotel, will definitely stay here if I ever visit Rennes again.

A must for any visitor to Rennes

I arrived late at night after 14 hours travel. I was met with prompt effecient service and given a clean, quiet room with a cofortable bed and fantastic shower.. I wanted to take it home! Next morning the breakfast was wonderful. If you are in Rennes, this is the place to stay. Across from the railway station, it is easy to find, next to the hire cars and the staff are lovely. A clean, quiet, comfortable and most enjoyable experience. Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

The central location opposite the station is very convenient although there is an issue regarding parking. Free on-street parking is available adjacent to the hotel between 12.00 and 14.00 and after 19.00 until 09.00 the following day but you may have to cruise the streets for a while to find a space. The hotel appears to have been refurbished and upgraded recently to a very acceptable standard and we found the staff welcoming, friendly and efficient. Our only minor complaint was about the overall size of our room. It was well-equipped and comfortable but there was very little room to manoeuvre.

This hotel is right next door to the railway station but slightly away from the city center. We were still able to walk everywhere though. Recently renovated. Bathroom fixtures very modern and, well, European. Rooms are EXTREMELY SMALL but clean. Front desk staff was very helpful but some struggled a bit with English. Excellent breakfast! Wireless worked well. A few good restaurants in the area.
Overall, I have no regrets about staying there.

We were so exhausted from all the traveling but the hotel was just across the station. The room was very clean and had a hip modern layout. Although the room was a little small the cleanliness compensates. It also included free breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice machine :D
