I can't say enough about the staff. They were friendly, accommodating and helpful. They went out of their way to take care of us. One of us is handicapped and they complimentary valet parking was a godsend. Everything was clean and upgraded. Great experience. We will repeat.

The photos and reels on social media make the hotel look much newer than it actually is. In reality, it's an older property. While it's generally clean and well-maintained, you can definitely tell its age.

The highlight of my visit was the day spa, which was excellent. It was relaxing, clean, and easily the best part of the experience. I had planned to enjoy the indoor pool as well, but it was packed with children and felt more like a theme park hotel pool than a peaceful resort pool. Instead, I spent my time in the spa area, which was much quieter.

One thing Atlantis does well is its variety of restaurants, so there's really no need to leave the hotel if you're looking for good food. The Atlantis Steakhouse was outstanding—the food was excellent, and the tableside flambé desserts were both delicious and a fun experience.

The staff throughout our stay were also a highlight. Everyone at the front desk and in the restaurants was friendly, welcoming, and provided great service.

Overall, if you're visiting primarily for the spa and dining, Atlantis is worth considering. Just know that the hotel itself is older than the photos suggest, and if you're hoping for a quiet pool experience, it may depend on the time of year and how busy the hotel is.

I normally stay at the Peppermill, but decided to try Atlantis and was very pleased considering it was less expensive and the rooms were excellent. I did an overnight with a buddy of mine and I’ll have to tell you the food was excellent. We did a quick takeout in the Jewish deli and the food was fantastic. The gaming room is a little dated, but they’re in the middle of an update and I’m looking forward to returning once that’s completed. I would definitely stay there again.

We stopped here during a road trip.

There's an excellent valet service for your car, right to the front door. The staff were all very friendly and competent. The room had clearly been recently renovated and was quite, quite nice, with wonderful views of the mountains. It was a marvelous room.

It is a working, old-style casino, though. It was filled with what looked like exceedingly depressed people playing the slot machines. It was very noisy. Smoking is allowed nearly everywhere, and our room smelled even though it was on a non-smoking floor.

All in all, it was a safe and clean place to stay, with lovely staff, on our cross-country trip, but I wouldn't seek it out on its own.

This was an awesome place for our family of six adults. The rooms were so comfortable, incredible mattresses, beautiful bathrooms, attentive housekeeping, and even with a few renovations happening the hotel really did an amazing job camouflaging those areas so it wasn’t noticeable. The Atlantis room I had was part of their renovation. Beautiful brand new bathrooms, with large glass enclosed showers. The issues I had were with the cleanliness of the shower. The housekeeper must have forgotten to wipe down the interior wall because there were several strands of hair on it. Also, they had a set of soaps and conditioner attached to the wall. The shower gel was completely empty. Lastly, after letting the lobby personnel know that the bed was like sleeping on a slab of cement, he told me the beds were brand new. Would have been nice to know ahead of time, maybe I could have gotten a different room. I have always loved making the Atlantis my Reno stopover because of the comfort of the rooms. But not so comfy this time.

We are Reno local and after checking in my wife became sick. We had to go home and were hoping the illness would subside and we could return to our room. She didn't get better so we had to stay home also on the second day of our booking. She also missed a massage and couldn't get reimbursed for it, and I had to then check out early. Again, no reimbursement for the room as we missed the checkout window. All in all, it looked like a great place to stay - but a lengthly illness didn't allow us to experience it. We are "out" for the massage and the room! As they say, better luck next time -

We usually love staying here, but this time we had an issue. No hot water in the shower! They did compensate us, but realizing there’s no hot water at 11:30pm just wasn’t acceptable. Never had this problem before, but next time I will make sure the room has hot water in the bathroom before we do anything else. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay. The martinis are good and the food in the Bistro Napa is wonderful.

We stayed here last week and thought it would be “just ok” cause the rooms were so affordable. We had a great check in, then went to the room and it was so new and clean. All the bars are great offering happy hours, the Napa grill was our favorite second to the sky bar and all you can eat sushi. Will definitely go back.

Don't use the check in kiosks - the key dispenser will not work. Better to wait in line. If you book on Expedia and select "room with view" it may be a view of a plaster wall. Casino is super smokey despite all filters. Room service is decent. Gym is decent. Oddly enough I was given an ADA room that was about a 2 minute walk from the closest elevator. While I didn't need it, I thought it was quite odd that the room was so far away. Valet process is strange; you have to get a new ticket everyday and tell the valet your last name, every day. I stayed here because of convenience but in the future would opt for a normal hotel sans casino.

The entire hotel smells like heavy cigarette smoke… you can’t breathe! If you are a non smoker this place is not for you .. they walk around with cigarettes in their hands everywhere!!! Room seemed clean, but I did find a cap on the floor in the bathroom, which makes me think it wasn’t properly cleaned.
The room seemed to smell smoky this time. I guess it’s coming through the vents?!
We were hard pressed to find an area where we could gamble that wasn’t filled with smoke.
Sushi was great as always, and the bellhop and valet were great.
Just a little frustrated with the amount of smoke in the air in general. All of our other stays have not been like that.

Stayed 2 nights here. First night was good experience. Didn’t have time to do much but just enjoy the nice clean suite was on a time crunch so didn’t have time to explore. Second night after a long day our stay was not as good. Got to hotel which was smaller room but still clean and comfy. Had dinner at purple parrot. Slept through the most the night. At around 7am to about 10 am there was constant pounding on the walls nonstop I’m assuming due to the remodel. From 10 to about check out time the fire alarm in the room was non stop. Called front desk to notify them of issue still took about 45 minutes to get it fixed. Decided to go to buffet and try it out. Buffet experience was much better than room experience. Would stay again hoping to never run into issues like the 2nd night. 1st night was great second night was terrible.
