I booked a king suite, and when I arrived I was told that the hotel manager overbooked and they could only offer me a room with two double beds. The water in the room was not hot so we called the front desk and were told to let it run for 15-20 minutes. The thermostat in the room also was not working.

I am only giving it 4 stars because I wasn't able to actually get to the hotel. Unfortunately, I'm going through a huge transition in my life, and I barely made it outside and so I missed my opportunity (and lost money) to see what the hotel was like. It looks really nice and if I have the opportunity to go to it, I'll hopefully be able to actually rate it properly.

Bathroom door only open if you lifted handle one way, toilet wouldn’t flush, shower shelf looked to have mold on it. Never again will I stay here especially after requesting to have the toilet fixed and nothing was done.

Room had no running toilet and I was basically told told bad because there was no maintenance there and no rooms. So 4 ppl in one room with no running toilet. Also no working tv. What a joke. I spoke with an agent the day I checked out (11/2) and was told I’d get an email follow up and still have not received anything.

It's a beautiful hotel and even has kitchenette in the room. Parking is limited though. They have an agreement with a neighboring motel for overflow parking though.

We gave Candlewood more chances than they deserved. In 4 reservations there, (two trips a few years apart) they got our prepaid reservation right. The first time, we got the right room, but the stove didn't work. They sent us to another room that was 1/2 the size without adequate sleeping arrangements. We cooked dinner in that suite - had to clean it and then went through the halls with our dinner to go back to the first room to eat and sleep.
Yet, we decide to give them another chance one this trip. Sorry to say it was no better.
On this trip, both times we arrived to check in with our prepaid reservation, they didn't have an appropriate room for us and there was nowhere for us to sleep. We ended up scrambling to find a room in another hotel. They only refunded ONE night of our reservation. (we paid for two in total this trip) The desk clerk was unwilling to spend 2 minutes on a computer so we Might be able to get our money back on the second night.
The experience they put us through is definitely not what Anyone would want to ruin their vacation with.

Staff were not friendly & did not prioritize the fact that our room had a NONWORKING TOILET! It did not flush & water ran continuously. After 2 calls to the front desk hours apart & nothing being done, I called IHG and notified Expedia. They moved us to another room that was already occupied, as evidenced by the man sleeping in the bed upon us opening the room door. Staff response to situation was ridiculous! We sat in lobby with our things for an hour until they
finally cleaned another room for us. All the while we missed some of the wedding events that we were in town for and spent so much money on. I was so upset. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

The hotel didn’t have a room available for me when I arrived so they had to find a room. They tried to say that I didn’t place an order for a room for 2 people. Then during the stay the power went out and my Mom who is handicapped had to walk down 4 floors.

A/C, heating unit in my room wasn’t working at all. Room was very noisy as it was right next a main road and interstate. Difficult to sleep. Maybe if I had a working HVAC unit I wouldn’t have noticed it as much. Rooms are dated. Especially for the price. Room was very clean. Staff very professional and friendly. Parking was convenient.

The room booked was not available at check-in due to the hotel having had to move another guest. The gal at the front desk was super friendly, apologetic, and set us up with another equally acceptable room. She, and the clerk on duty at check-out in the morning were very pleasant and efficient in their role. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were disappointed the coffee service in lobby in the morning was not available as the machine was out of order. We would stay again.

Good place to stay if you dont care about security

Front desk was very helpful. However, was charged for a nights stay even though the locks to the room didnt work and we left after 4 hours when we found out. We had to leave due to no security to our room. Could push the door right open. The hotel knows this is an issue. Stay away if possible.

There where a few cosmetic issues in my room ( porcelain lid to the toilet tank had a large chunk out of it exposing the water in the refill tank) but nothing that I would say that would prevent me from staying here again. The property was clean safe and easy to get to. The front desk staff were both excellent! And my bed was very comfortable and my stay was extremely quiet.

Budget friendly but could use some work

Sometimes no hot water in the morning or at night. Roach was waiting outside our door. Insect on pillow when we got there. House keepers only come every 7 days so basically if you’re there for less than that you won’t see a house keeper and no they won’t even take the trash outside your door. Staff was friendly though. Free laundry and gym. Price was good for the stay but could fix some the above would be great.

The front desk attendant at check in was very polite and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was on the 4th floor so it was quiet. Not sure if it was because I was on the 4th floor towards the end but had cold showers every morning for the first 3. The front desk attended said to let the hot water run for 15 min in the morning before getting in the shower. That helped but wound up turning on the shower, the bathroom faucet and the kitchen faucet and got hot water after about 10-15 minutes. Stayed 11 nights. Was told when I checked in that seeing that I was staying so long housekeeping would not come until the 7th day but if I needed fresh linens to go to the front desk. Was there 11 nights never received housekeeping services. Being there 11 nights it was nice ti be able to cook dinner every night and not have to eat out every meal. I would stay there again but it wouldn’t take much effort on there part to make the experience better.

When I checked in there was nobody that could speak English at the desk. I waited at least 5 minutes before someone came in that could handle getting me checked in.
Also there apparently rooms are not made up every day (they said weekly)_ I either missed this notice when making my reservation or Expedia did not show this in the listing. Had I undersatood this I would have made another choice.

I got a call just before arriving, letting me know they didn't have a room like I booked and offering me a queen single bed room with a pull out couch. We called a competitor and stayed there. I would have liked a more helpful option from this hotel (couldn't they have helped us find a room elsewhere? What about you, Expedia? Couldn't you have helped?

There was no parking so I had to go and find open parking in the surrounding hotel.
When I went to go to bed I pulled back the sheets and there was a bug crawling around and half the bed was covered in black droppings , I looked in the pillows and there were dead bugs and the same black droppings. I called the front desk and because it was so late house keeping available so he came and brought me new sheets. I had to ask him to help me out then in because I was so exhausted and I had a state board exam the next morning so I could barley help put the covers on.
If it wasn’t so late I would of switched rooms but at that time it was 130 am and I had to leave at super early the next morning.

The General Manager Monica runs a tight ship but equally feels like home. Amazing people working there. From Morgan and Jess on front desk, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and modern. We wanted the first floor because we had dogs We had confirmed this with Expedia the day before.When we arrived we were told they did not have the room we reserved. We were supposed to have 2 queen beds on the first floor. Instead we received 1 queen bed on the second floor. This was Expedia’s fault. Since we reserved through Expedia they could not discount the room. We will not use Expedia again. The worker at the front desk was very nice and did apologize but it wasn’t his fault.

Don't waste your money staying here. The lobby, hallways, and elevator only get cleaned about every 3 days. My first room had no hot water so I had to move. They also couldn't accommodate my reservation correctly. I borrowed a coffee maker from the locker and it turned out there wasn't a filter basket in it so it never should have been put back in there. My second room came with a dishwasher full of disgustingly dirty dishes. Ran the dishwasher to try to clean them, didn't even touch the left on food. That stayed that way for a full day and had I not kept reminding the front desk about it, probably would have never gotten cleaned. Worst stay ever and to top it all off they never offered any compensation for the room with no hot water or for me having to find the disgusting dishes. This place needs a Manager that actually cares about the comfort of the guests.

I have made MANY trips to Grove City for softball and always stay on Stringtown rd, but this is the first time I stayed at this particular hotel. The check in process took a little longer than I would have liked after the long car ride (I waited at the front desk for about 10 minutes before anybody appeared), and then they told me the wrong room number so when I went to use the keys they didn't work and I could hear people in the room. Other than that, the stay was great. The room was very clean and had plenty of room for 3 adults and a dog, plus all of our things. The beds were comfortable and I had no issues with anything else during my stay. There was nobody being loud in the halls and there were not people hanging around outside like you usually find in the area. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for one night for a school sport event nearby. Great location to Fortress Obetz. Very clean , comfy bed and pillows. Had a handicap accessible room. . Plenty of room. Room had full fridge , and kitchenette. . I would recommend this hotel.

Spacious room and clean, kitchen fulfill basic needs, free use of laundry machines. 2 minor matters that can make the stay better, 1. the sensitivity of TV remote controller that only works within 6-7 feet that is not convenience at bed, 2. Only 1 item can be borrowed at one time, I wanted to borrow a kettle and wine glass but end up took the kettle only.
