Very convenient, located in between Alsancak and Konak. Walking distance to all major attractions, shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed the suite room. Internet was sufficient. Breakfast was great.

This is barely a 3-star hotel and nowhere near 4-star standard.

The gym/fitness area and pool were closed for refurbishment during my entire stay, despite being clearly advertised and pictured at the time of booking. These facilities were a key reason I chose this hotel and there was no prior notice. Reception said there was nothing they could do.

The -2 floor, where the gym is located, remained accessible by lift with no proper warning signage. The area was dark and clearly not operational, yet still reachable by guests, which raises safety concerns.

The air conditioning cannot be properly controlled. It was fixed on heating mode and could not be switched to cooling. The room became uncomfortably warm at night and the only option was to sleep with the windows open.

Wi-Fi was unreliable and stopped working completely on Saturday. Reception again said nothing could be done. We checked out Sunday morning and it was still down.

There is also a demolition site directly in front of the hotel. On Friday at 2am, excavators were loading rubble into trucks.

Overall, this does not reflect a 4-star hotel, especially given the inaccurate advertising of amenities.

I have given to Kordon hotel 5 stars , do you know why ? Because the first point was their trustworthy staff, actually I left some valuable items and some cash money there and checked out after my trip I found that I left those , they contacted me and explained to me all the items and then delivered to my friend completely, I appreciate and admire such a nice persons , the second one was nice welcome, clean room and polite staff . Thanks to Expedia for introducing such a hotel and all the hotel staffs

I had one overnight stay at the hotel. Checkin was quick and the room allocated was very nice, spacious, comfortable and quiet. A eat an evening meal in the hotel cafe. The food was nice and reasonably priced. I had a relaxing sleep in the large comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice with hot and cold options available. All of the staff I encountered during my brief stay were friendly and helpful. I would stay at the hotel again if I was passing through Izmir. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the waterfront. On my night of arrival I had to get a taxi from the bus station to the hotel approx £10. On the day of my department I had to get a taxi from the hotel to the airport approx £24.

The staff was so friendly. We booked the deluxe room, it was so spacious and clean.

Don't waste your money by booking this hotel. I wanted a hotel which had a sauna and an indoor pool. The Kordon Hotel Cankaya has NEITHER but they are listed, with a photo of the indoor pool on the website. However, they are at the sister hotel, not this one. This is clearly misleading and the hotel description needs changing. This has spoiled our stay. The location is very good, but other than that i would definitely not recommend this hotel. The breakfast is poor. There are strategically placed mirrors which make the breakfast buffet look big, but the reality is that there isn't a good selection. Staff in the kitchen were arguing, do they not realise that their voices carry into the dining room and make guests uncomfortable? All in all a very poor, unprofessionally run hotel which you would do bestvto avoid!!!

It’s a wonderful property in the heart of Izmir
City . It’s very near the tram and the areas around are easily walkable .

The staff were particularly very helpful in helping us adjust our room , especially Mr Anil

I never write reviews, but I felt I had to share this so others know what they are walking into. I visit Izmir often and usually stay at the Swiss Hotel in Alsancak. This time, I was trying to save money and chose this hotel instead. It was still pretty expensive regardless and I stayed for two weeks.

The experience was disappointing from the start. The reception staff were consistently rude and unprofessional. This was not just someone having a bad day. It was a pattern throughout the stay. The valet service was just as frustrating. Many times I was told there was no parking, so I had to drive around Alsancak looking for a spot and pay extra out of pocket.

Housekeeping was also a letdown. The room looked clean at first, but during the entire two weeks they never vacuumed once. Trash that was not placed directly in the bin was left in the room. It was clear that attention to detail and basic cleanliness were not priorities.

The worst part was the overall energy. There was no sense of hospitality. It felt like the staff were annoyed by guests. A couple of workers were kind, but most seemed like they did not want to be there.

If I had known how bad this would be, I would have booked a cheaper and lower-rated hotel. At least then I would have known what to expect. This hotel is not worth the price or the stress. Avoid it.

stayed for 4 nights with Family in rooms 109/110 - connected rooms. overall hotel was good - clean, friendly staff and location is great, walkable to almost everywhere while being quite.
Only problem we faced was that our rooms were directly opposite to the elevators and area in front of elevators is not carpeted, therefore everyone walking from and to the elevators with their bags woke us up...

We have enjoyed our stay at the Kordon! The couples massage was excellent! Front desk staff was very informative and friendly. We are here looking at historic sites. The 2,000 + year old agora is a twelve minute walk from the hotel!
The listing, however was, misleading. There is NO airport transfer from the hotel. We had to arrange our own.

The property is more at the level of bed & breakfast than a 4 start hotel. The rooms are so old & dark, like the entrance of the room has a corridor where the wardrobe is & there with not a single light in that area of the room. Cleanness of the sheets and towels were questionable, looked they’ve been used for a decade and washed hundred times. There is no parking so they basically tale the key and park your vehicle in a very narrow alley at your risk. In the bright side, the breakfast was nice and we didn’t expect that after getting let down by seeing the room. I wouldn’t fault the hotel but it is not at the 4 star level hotel at all and it’s way too old building that need serious renovation. At least to change the windows so you don’t hear all the noise of the street

The checking was promised to take 5 minutes and ended up taking over 40 minutes. The key door was working after they supposedly fixed it it would not work. The staff just didn’t care. The water in the sower was cold . The sink was clogged. I don’t know how they run this hotel. It’s a disaster of a company. Very disappointed with Expedia for recommending this hotel.

Decent Hotel With Helpful Staff

The cleaning and valet staff were the best part of the hotel...Always very friendly and helpful. The suite rooms are comfortable and very large; perfect for our small family. Our 2 year old son had plenty of space to run around. We had an issue where the ceiling plaster surrounding the showerhead fell down into the shower and created a hole in the ceiling. We informed the staff and they had put in a temporary fix (tape) by the time we returned that evening. They offered to move our room but as it happened on the last day of our stay, we decide to not go to the trouble of moving. Breakfast was decent but the same thing was served all 5 days we were there. Some breakfast variety would be nice. The hotel is in a good location for walking with restaurants and shops nearby. There is limited parking on the street so we used the free valet parking service each time we went out and came back in. All in all, not a bad place to stay.

Despite the hotel looking modern, it was dirty.
There was a terrible smell in the bathroom which also did not have a fan.
Towels seemed like they were not cleaned properly as the smelt terrible…
Breakfast was very limited…

Üç arkadaş gittik otele, ilk içeri girdiğimizde odanın genel halinden çok temiz olmadığı belliydi. Yastık kılıfları sanki bıçakla kesilmiş gibi delik deşikti, uyumaya yakın yastığımda kan lekesi olduğunu farkettim ama gece geç vakit olduğundan başka bir yastıkla uyudum, ertesi gün çıkarken görevlilere söylemeyi unutmuşum bu arada biz kalvaltıdan sonra çıktık oda temizliği 11 gibi yapılıyor. Akşam geldiğimizde sadece yorganları toparlamışlar ama diğer herşey aynı delik yastık aynı kan lekesi aynı aradım resepsiyonu değiştirdiler, demekki biz bir önceki akşam temiz yatakta yatmamışız, görevliler tam tatlı su kurmazı, akşam görevli yoktu resepsiyondan biri otelin önüne bırakabilirsiniz dedi bıraktık sabah ceza ödemek zorunda kaldık, vale de bize e ırada uyarı var yazıyor oraya bırakmasaydınız yapacak birşey yok dedi, biz resepsiyondaki arkadaş bırakmamızı söyledi dememize rağmen cezayı da ödedik, mutfak 10 üzerinden 3 puanı hakediyor. The nice hotel; it was clean and in a nice neighborhood.
Overall good and I would comment on few minor things: They didn't have enough keys so just gave one key per room, because hotel was so busy that day.
They don't have designated parking spot in front of the door and on rush hours it might be hard to park to drop and pick your stuff. I had to park one block away to load/unload. Also I had a van which don't get into their parking garage so I had to handle it myself by paying at the curbside parking.

We enjoyed our visit. The rooms are dated, and the carpet needs to be replaced. The hotel is very nicely located within walking distance of the waterfront and the old Kemeralti bazaar. The staff is courteous and helpful, and they serve an excellent breakfast each day. There are some old comments about the AC system online which are no longer accurate; each room has its own controls.

I got a suite for the night stay inside is furnished cheap furniture and bathroom was smelled like sewer all night long. Me and my wife wanna to use to spa they said it is extra to use the sauna. I couldn’t believe it what a scam. This hotel is the first one the charge their guest to use their sauna. I called front desk to complain their answer was yes it is extra to use the facility. But there was no where on the Expedia says using spa facilities is extra money. Next morning I wanna to take a shower the was dirty like mud can not believe it. As again front desk answer to this complain was well because we are very busy thats why the water was like that. I really didn’t know whether I should be laughing or crying. I guess I have to wait every one else to leave to take a shower. Im extremely disappointed. Stay away from this hotel at all cost

Make sure your bathroom doesn’t stink.
I’ve observed the habit of hotel management not to change the dirty bedsheets and pillow covers. It’s disgusting. If they haven’t changed new sheets for you , Look keenly for human hairs and if you see any … ask for new sheets. I always ask for new bedsheets and pillow covers and change my self.

Location is very convenient for central Izmir, staff were professional and the massage service was excellent. Unfortunately the room smelled of smoke and contained an ashtray despite requesting a non-smoking room, and the quality of the breakfast was lacking compared to equivalent hotels in the same category in Turkey. On the positive side the room was spacious, the bathroom was nice and the bed was very comfortable.

Our second stay at this hotel and once again it didn’t disappoint. Hotels have only just opened after being closed due to Corona virus and the precautions taken by this hotel were excellent. Our temperature was checked whenever we entered the hotel, there are lots of hand sanitizer stations all over the hotel and everything in the room was sanitizer or protected. We felt very safe. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in! We will look forward to our next stay.

Overall good hotel. I think it’s culture in Turkey, but sometimes staff wasn’t trying to provide the best service they could. I saw some annoyed faces and coming from America, it’s considered a bad customer service.

Also, last day, I came down to get the free breakfast at 10:05 and food was still there, but waiter told me that breakfast is finished and they stop serving at 10am, again I felt that they could let this slide away, but staff preferred not to do extra work.

They also will give you only one key to use in the room in spite we have three adults in the room and I do think that’s because when we have funky and we leave the room we have to take the key with us which means we will turn off the electricity and the AC in that’ll

Except for the location, this is a low budget hotel with poor, unhealthy breakfast, and smoke infested lobby and floors. The staff’s lack of English or their unwillingness to speak the language adds to the guests discomfort. Overall, the hotel does not offer service and amenities that a guest may expect from a decent hotel.

Good location, friendly staff. Breakfast was ok but not the best that you can get in turkey.
Hotel gym, spa and swimming pool should not be your priorities but in gerenral its a good hotel and actualy one of fhe best for its price.
Indoor parking is included.

It wasn’t a 4 star hotel the walls was patch up and the carpets rip and stained. And the most important thing when you are at Different country You need Internet and they did not have internet you needed 1/2 hour just to connect and it kicked you out in less than a minute the worst experience thank you hotel.com

Customer service needs review

Great location within walking distance of market and centre, close to metro too. The service was dreadful, it took more than 3 requests for toilet paper and 4.5 hours to get the toilet paper for my children’s room. I eventually waited at the front counter for the paper and delivered to my children’s room . Request for 2 towels and given 1 towel. Only 1 bottle of complimentary water and 2 teabags for a double room given. Not replaced for the three nights stayed . Buffet breakfast was terrific.

It was a comfortable stay but the hotel services were not upto the mark as it should be for four star hotel
Especially the wifi coverage is not good at all, the signals for wifi is fine in corridors but in rooms they are really pathetic

Great Hotel in izmir

We had a fantastic stay for one night in this hotel. Great valet parking service,really comfortable bed, and good breakfast. superb value for money and in good location close to the sea. Would not hesitate to return. 10/10

Absolute Crap!!

Absolute CRAP!!! I am still here whilst writing this review and am currently trying to switch hotels and recieve a refund. I am absolutely disgusted by this hotels treatment of guests. Not only far from everything but also the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. I am here for a wedding and was advised i would not be allowed friends in my room when they stop by to visit. I wasnt asking for them to stay the night just meet at my place be4 we go out inwhich they werent even allowed to sit in the foyer and wait for me. I have stayed in over 100 hotels this year alone and i must say this is by far the worst!! Do not stay here

The hotel is in great location. Very clean and the most wonderful staff that go out of their way to help guests. The general manager mr. Ozgun was very helpful with our needs.
Free breakfast was prepared with care. I stayed in four hotels in Turkey and this was the best.
