Always a Pleasure to Stay

I first stayed here for business, as it was the hotel chosen by my company — but I’ve been coming back for my personal trips ever since. The staff are genuinely attentive and professional, the service is excellent, and the rooms are very comfortable. The location couldn’t be more central. Overall, it offers service and quality well above its price range. Highly recommended.

We had an early check-in and the offered us an accessible room until 12 which we paid for...they had a junior and presidential suite available but didnt offer it to us was a bit disappointing.

Not sure if I just got u lucky but my room wasn’t up to standard, drain was blocked (which they did come sort), wooden floor was lifting in the room and the shower head needs replacing. Stayed here 3 times now & 2 of these the chrome cast WiFi streaming in the room hasn’t worked….
I rang reception, a man came up to the room looked at it and said “ yes it doesn’t work “ and left again …. Don’t think I’ll stay again , now found a much better property in the area .

The hotel was very nice and clean and made us feel welcome
The room very clean and spacious.The breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The down side is as follows, on Friday the Marriott hotel took out two lots of monies for the two rooms,not a problem but on checkout they took another two outs of monies out, this put my account over £280 down ! The receptionist stated it will come back into my account within 21 days !!! This practice is totally unacceptable. So now I am over £280 short in my bank account until they credit my bank account
So today I have paid out over £560 for two rooms for a one night stay.. but I will have to wait until they credit my account.. I will never stay at a Marriott hotel again. Thankfully I have sufficient funds in my account at the present time but this is not the point

Great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and they had our sofa bed made up before we got there. Breakfast was great and the views were great. Only issue was the luggage check which seemed a little unorganised and we lost a water bottle that was in an external backpack pocket but our fault for not checking before we left.

We came as a large group and the Guest Relations Manager, Deniz Degerli, was so wonderful. She assisted us with whatever we needed and went above and beyond for us. She was always willing to assist and answer any questions we may have had always with a smile on her face. Our waitress, Nur, was also so sweet and very helpful. You can tell that she loved her job and we appreciated her. We will definitely use this hotel in the future as it was also very clean and the experience was great all around.

This is by far one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in!!! The staff was delightful, spoke English well ( we are half Turkish so although some of understanding it was nice how well they spoke), the room was spotless, we had a dessert and fruit tray each night. Little touches like this your guest will remmeber. Everyone was so helpful and had a smile on their face! We had an awful hotel experience by Hilton in Istanbul so bravo to Marriot!! 5 stars !!!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Izmir

Amazing hotel experience! I spent two nights here as part of a work trip, and wish I could have stayed longer. I was lucky enough to have my room upgraded to a sea view, and it was incredible — gorgeous view of the water, felt like from a boat.
Staff were lovely, breakfast was delicious, would definitely stay here again.

My stay at the Marriott Izmir Konak was exceptional. The staff knew me by name & offered assistance without prompting and whenever requested. The roof deck pool and restaurant overlook the Aegean Sea, which made experience unique and exciting. The food & service is Michelin Star quality. The housekeeping staff attend to the room twice a day and leave the room spotless. The Concierge arranged 3 trips & provided many restaurant recommendations. Overall, this was the best Marriott experience I have ever had. I recommend it without any hesitation. Thanks to Deniz Degerli & your staff

We arrived 20 minutes before check in time and they still said they had no room ready. The hotel is next o water that smells so horrible it is nauseating. They rip you off for their horrible food (we had lunch there). Not worth for the cost at all. Their pool is not even open till afternoon and even then they rent the area and you can't use it all the time. Bed was very comfortable and hotel was very clean.

Our stay at this this hotel was nothing short of perfect. It was our last night in Türkiye following a few days of vacationing around the country. We were to fly out of Izmir airport. Check in was smooth and effortless, and the room has everything you could possibly need. The beds are super comfortable, and soundproofing is truly excellent. I am a very sensitive traveler, and I am really picky (also currently pregnant which makes all these traits even more pronounced). This hotel is clean, convenient, and stylish. Reception service is impeccable. You can’t possibly go wrong. Finally, the breakfast has tons of options. They even have an à la carte menu, which is refreshing if you don’t feel like getting things from the already abundant buffet. Overall, a 10/10 stay and without a doubt in my mind—the best hotel we stayed at in Türkiye.

Avoid if you want to sleep

I booked upgraded room with access to lounge and sea view. In Lounge was nothing
, when i arrived at the room until 1am was party on the roof top, the music was so loud that walls were shaky, i went to complain and they told me that it’s completely formal for hotels to make party, they gave me other with no sea view (that i paid double for it) but the same loud. I couldn’t sleep and had a glass of wine from the mini bar (didn’t look at the price as how much can cost?) it cost 45 usd !!!!!!! Be careful when you go there and avoid if possible was one of the worse experiences in my life and definitely worst for Marriot that i respect a lot.

Superb Guest Relations by Deniz who booked our fabulous trips to Cesme and Ephesus and guided our stay in such a helpful manner. Cisem and the from desk as well as Kerem and Kerim were fantastically helpful and accommodated us as a family very well and always smiled as we walked passed the front desk. The breakfast staff too were extremely helpful and accommodating and we have nothing but bid praise for them too.

We would highly recommend the Marriot and all their team and we would happily stay here without exception.
Highly recommend this hotel as central to the main Izmir attractions.

My friends and I traveled to Izmir for holiday and absolutely loved our stay at the Marriot. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and never hesitated to provide accommodations when necessary. The amenties and facilities were beautiful and well maintained. My only complaint is that youre unable to get in the pool after 6pm on the weekends because of the pool parties. My friends and I ended up going to the indoor pool downstairs instead, but we would have enjoyed sitting in the pool and watching the sunset.

From check-in to check-out my stay at the Marriott Izmir was absolutely fantastic.
Reception staff were incredible, they went above and beyond to make my stay the relaxing and restful break that I needed it to be. They helped with all my requests and enquiries and were kind, friendly and completely amazing.
My room was stunning, spacious and immaculately clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bathroom was big and fully stocked with anything I could need and the bed was so comfy, I slept better than I had in a long time.
Room service and restaurant food were both very tasty and the portion sizes were huge.
The hotel location was perfect for strolls along the water or as a starting point to explore the rest of Izmir and always felt calm and safe for a solo traveller.
The Marriott was everything I needed it to be and more and I can’t wait to return again in the future.

This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are clean and spacious, with everything in the right place. The room feels comfortable and very well designed. Check-in took a little longer than expected, but the front desk team was polite and helpful.

However, we had a bad experience at the spa, where we encountered a very rude and judgmental staff member who assumed that we couldn’t afford to stay in the hotel just by looking at us. Very disappointing, considering this is one of the biggest and most established hotel chains in the world, and we expect their staff to treat all customers with equal respect.

This is the best hotel in Turkey, and I have stayed in many exceptional 5 star hotels.

What makes this hotel so special are two things: the staff and the whole Marriott experience. It came across that every staff member absolutely loves their jobs and that they were proud to work in this hotel.

I am going to single out a few people and services because it’s nice to give the credit for their exceptional work.

Deniz embodies what exceptional service is all about. She truly cares about the guests’ needs and will do everything she can, via expertly crafted networking and great colleague relations, to get you the best experience. I am truly in awe of how well she looked after me. She would make a fantastic Marriott Manager and I hope the hotel offers her the training to get there.

Ilaydin and the whole Lima restaurant team. Exceptional! The staff and chefs personalised every meal for me following surgery and with great care followed the Doctor's meal instructions. They made such delicious food I thought were not possible on a liquid diet.

The housekeeping staff keep the hotel spotless. You can tell they take so much pride in everything they do. You cannot find one dirty spot anywhere!

The maintenance team, called them because my water wasn’t hot enough and they came to fix it within minutes.

The WiFi technician, security, valet and reception staff all absolutely top quality staff.

I had the best Marriott experience of any Marriott in this hotel and I will be back.

Home away from home!

Chic modern property in an ideal location. Beautiful views of the Aegean Sea and plenty of great restaurants and attractions nearby. What made this hotel great was the staff. Some of our family members got sick during our stay and Deniz, Burak and Cagrihan did everything in their power to help us find the right doctor and medicines. Deniz even sent fruit to our rooms so our children would feel better. We were also impressed with everyone at the front desk and the bell boys. Thanks to this hotel staff we managed to have a great vacation and dealt with a minor medical emergency very smoothly.

We stayed for two nights in our visit to Izmir. The hotel in general is very nice, and the staff are quite helpful. The rooms were modern and well appointed. No issues with cleanliness. Only issue was that the breakfast area and main dining venue of the hotel is quite cramped in space, and some tenants were smoking in the open air area which because of the space made it very unpleasant for non-smokers.

The staff truly make this property a one of a kind. While staying here management let me know that some gentleman we’re downstairs to take me to a hospital because he had suffered a medical emergency while working in a nearby town. The management searched the property of find me. They did not let these gentleman in the hotel. I thought this was a safe idea. In addition, when I returned back with my husband their kindness and compassion just blew me away. They made sure he had food and plenty of water. They checked on us multiple times and many of the staff wrote caring cards to us.
