Parking Arrangement

The only issue was parking. There wasn’t a designated parking spot; you had to park wherever you could find. In case you couldn’t, you handed your key to reception so they could try to find a spot for you.

We stayed in different hotels throughout Turkiye which were nice, but it was a relief to arrive to Zeniva which was much more spacious and had proper clothing storage space. It was modern and the breakfast was very good as it had a combination of breakfast items that Turks eat, as well as Americans. As soon as we arrived, the valet parked our car in front of the building. We always had to leave our key with the valet, but we never had to worry about parking space. He was always on top of everything and I was truly impressed with the valet parking service. I think they say breakfast starts at 8 AM, but it was always available at least by 7:30 AM.
Their laundry services are very expensive, but we found Laundry Bar .7 miles walking distance. You’d have to take time and stay there to wash and dry your own clothes. It’s off of Talapasa Bva. Across the street is Coffee Gallery where I really enjoyed coffee as the owner sat down and spoke with us about the history of Turkiye, which I found very interesting. He also played a traditional Turkish instrument for us.
Concierge at the hotel recommended the restaurant nearby corbaci ismet amd that was the beat mixed kebap for two i had tasted so far. The meat and chicken was juicy and absolutely delicious. Was more than enough for two people. So go with an empty stomach.
Kahve Dunyasi Marin (cafe) very nearby. The hotel was great for a late night tea latte. They have other hot beverage options as well. It hit the spot.

Comfortable modern hotel in the centre of Izmir.

This hotel was situated in a quiet street right in the centre of the city.
It was new, bright, clean and airy.
Check-in was quick and welcoming. English was widely used by the staff. The desk staff made sure that we had a non-smoking room.
Safety is obviously a high priority. Security staff were always on hand, and cameras were located on landings and hallways.
We were also impressed that there are 2 lifts and 2 emergency staircases. We felt very safe.
Breakfast was very varied and delicious with choices for everyone.
The room was a little small but was well appointed and had everything necessary for a couple of nights stay. Maybe next time we opt for a slightly bigger room.

Clean comfortable rooms, but walls are quite thin. Was wakened by some noise both nights. Good breakfast spread and great location, only a couple mins walk to coast, restaurants and shops. Just not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Lacks communal areas such as bar and lobby.

Location is good

The location is fantastic, close to many attractions by foot...and two minutes walk to the promonade! However, the bed was not comfortable, thin wall that u could hear even a whisper out ( did not sleep well because of that for few nights). Breakfast is very basic for a 4 stars hotel.

The property is advertised with Air conditioning. It does not work. First they sent the bell boy to check. Then they claimed it is only a heating system.

The windows were full of dust which has clearly not been cleaned for weeks. There was a dead fly. When receptionist was informed, she offered to clean tomorrow. We were checked in for one night!!!

The rooms were advertised with king bed. The beds in the rooms are much smaller.

The hotel is operated by one receptionist and one bell boy.

Overall we made a very bad choice.

Central location but noisy

This small hotel is nicely located in city centre. The rooms are a bit small, let a lot of noise in and breakfast is poor.
We had issues with other rooms making so much noise but instead of dealing with the matter, the staff asked us to move rooms in the middle of the night. This affected our sleep and the following day. We had to delay our plans and stay one more day in Izmir as we were very tired. They gave us a discount for the following day but it definitely didn’t make up for the lack of sleep the night before. My advice is to stay in big hotels in Turkey as they deal with issues better.

Hotel was clean and neat . Staff were super friendly and accomodating. Location was good. We only had an issue with breakfast. Very poor variety and not very fresh. Didnt bother going for breakfast the 2nd day. Something that really needs to be worked on.

The only think I did not like was that the room smelt as though someone had been smoking in it. I noticed that the windows were always left open after cleaning so I assume that this was to let them air out a bit. YOu have to get down to breakfast early as by 10am it has been well picked over, eg, bread and eggs.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff was wonderful and ready to help with anything we needed from simple daily things to helping to organize our tours around the area. The room was also a very comfortable size with a nice big comfy bed. The location was also perfect with lots of shopping and restaurants and near the port! I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay. We’re from North America so luckily have had amazing hotel experiences and Zeniva Hotel met all (and more) expectations. Super clean and spacious. Great service. You truly feel like you’re at a 5 star hotel. They have valet parking, free breakfast, free water when we needed it. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Yer olarak tam merkezde, çok güvenli yerde, restoran ve alışverişin tam içinde ama gürültüsüz ara sokağında. Geçen sene Efes otelde kalmıştım Zenia dan daha memnun kaldım bu sene. We loved the location, it was close to amenities and restaurants.
The room was very tiny and almost uncomfortable for 2 people.
The hot water would run after 10 minutes of running the tap.
The breakfast was very monotonous, cold eggs, cold and rubbery buns, 3 raisins, 2 pieces of walnuts, 1 dried apricots.
There was only one water bottle for the room, it did not make any difference how many people stayed there.
I look at these things as over and above services, how much does one bottle of water cost?

Location and surroundings

Location is good. But in busy days, the parking lots are limited. They somehow manage to fit your car around the hotel. There are good restaurants around. Staff is friendly. Price-wise I paid a bit more than average but the room size was worth of it.

Don't stay here

The front desk scammed us with a taxi, negotiating for it to be higher even though we asked to not set a price and that the meter was fine.

We also choose this place because they said they had high-speed wifi for business travelers, but it was not good enough for working.

Güzel konum

Oteli 2.kez ziyaret ediyorum konum olarak harika bir yerde, merkezdeki her yere yürüme mesafesinde en büyük avantajı bu.Kahvaltı için ayrılan bölüm biraz ufak ve kapalı, Covid dolayısıyla bir seyreltme yapılmamış çok sıkışık bir ortamda aynı anda bir çok kişi ile kahvaltı etmek zorundasınız bu sebeple 2.gün kahvaltıyı otelde almayıp dışarı çıktık. Bir de odada klimayı açınca gelen bir sigara kokusu vardı gece rahatsız olduk.

Evcil hayvanla giden dostlara asla tavsiye etmiyorum. Rezervasyon yaparken net olmayan detaylar resepsiyonda soyleniyor. Ornegin evcil hayvanla sadece suit odada kalinabiliyor halbuki rezervasyon yaparken evcil hayvan secer Ek aratmaniza ragmen tum oda tipleri karsiniza geliyor. Ya da evcil hayvanla restorana inilmiyor. E odada nasil kaliniyor? Bir garip. Yoksa calisanlar nazik ve ote konumu cok iyi.

Highly recommended to stay

We stayed here second time. What we like the is the servise which is outstanding in this hotel. They have parking slots at the hotel for the residents and they manage the parking themselves. The room is quite big with comfortable bed and cosybathroom. We had a late flight and the resepcionist kindly agreed pronong our check out for one hour and keep our lagguage in the hotel until we take it.
The only very minor thing is breakfast, which was worse than previous time, but I believe that it was due to COVID 19 precautions.

The rooms in the Zeniva were very well presented and the staff were very efficient. All staff wore masks and covid precautions were very well observed. Parking is limited around the surrounding streets and we were asked to leave the car keys when staying so the staff could shuffle the cars around. The breakfast was disappointing. The breakfast advertised showed something very different to what was served. Breakfast was 2 buns, a boiled egg , 2 slices of cheese, a cherry tomato, half a roll of turkey, 2 walnuts a few pieces of dried fruit and a cup of cay in a paper cup. The breakfast never varied in our three day stay. Having some choice of breakfast (toast or cereals) would have been appreciated. There are many restaurants nearby but dont eat in any pedestrianised areas as begging is rife. The first evening we were interupted ELEVEN times in just over an hour. In most cases we were singled out as tourists and other tables were overlooked by the beggars. After that we ate indoors for the other nights. As I mentioned when we left the staff were very good but my overall impression of that area of Ismir wasnt good.

Konumu oldukça merkezi, otel yeni, temiz ve gayet güzel tasarlanmış. Tüm çalışanlar gayet güler yüzlü ve işlerinde titizler, özellikle Resepsiyondaki Bora Beyi güler yüzü, yardım ve çözüm odaklı yaklaşımı ve genel iletişim tarzı açısından özellikle ismini vererek anmak isterim. Bazı ufak tefek geliştirilebilir alanlar mevcut ancak bundan sonra kesinlikle İzmir'deki ilk tercihlerimin arasında yer alacak.

Breakfast was disappointing, such a tiny amount was given. It was during covid, however staff eventhough wearing masks put the plate in front of us and walked away quickly. We were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee, they just brought tea and a plate of food and we never we communicated with further.Desk staff were quite nice and helpful.

Läget på hotellet var bra. Dock luktade rummet extremt mycket cigarett vilket vi påtalade efter att vi hade checkat in. Damen i receptionen sa att det inte kunde vara så eftersom rökning var förbjudet. När vi checkade ut dagen efter påtalade vi detta igen eftersom vi hittade en askkopp på rummet och då sa mannen i receptionen att rökning är tillåtet i rummen på den våningen vi blivit tilldelade och att vi borde ha frågat innan. Vi utgick ifrån att rökning inte är tillåtet och litade på att det damen i receptionen sa stämde. Jättetråkigt att få olika information av personalen.

Vi frågade om frukost och fick veta att vi borde ha anmält vilken tid vi vill ha frukost när vi checkade in men det fick vi inte information om vid incheckningen. Vi sa då till att vi gärna ta frukost på rummet 09.00. När frukosten inte hade kommit och klockan var 09.20 frågade vi efetr frukost och fick då veta att vi borde ha ringt. Mycket missvisande information som drar ner betyget annars var hotellet fint och läget jättebra.

Otele Girişte Ezgi hnm baştan sona herşeyde çok yardımcı oldu ilgili ve güleryüzlü biri,fakat oda birinci kattaydı ve cam açtığımda havalandırmak için sigara kokusu geliyordu, boş yere deluxe oda almışım bir ayrıcalığı yok,oda duvarları ses yalıtımı olmadığı için yan odada kalanların konuşma sesi ve koridorda dolaşan çocukların gürültüsü oda kapılarının gürültüsü çok aşırı rahatsız etti,bulunduğunuz kattaki insanların da arsızlığından kaynaklı bu durum tabi.. temizlik genel olarak iyi,kahvaltı da covid-19 kuralları nedeniyle paketlenerek servis edildi ve kahvaltı çeşidi idare eder..konum olarak iyi yerde olsada alternatif olarak bulduğum hem fiyat ve aynı konumda ve otel durumu manzaralı otelleri değerlendireceğim bir dahaki sefere..

Very good, just a few smaller issues

I really liked this hotel. Location and design quality and staff. The only reasons I would hold back on the highest rating for this hotel are these more structural issues: Internet cut out regularly and require frequent logging in, which is a more involved process than it should me. The walls and doors are not adequately sound-proofed. The only reason I could not understand my neighbours' conversations in their rooms was because I do not speak Turkish. Lighting in the bathroom is bad. Without lights on the walls, the closer you lean to the mirror while shaving the darker your face gets. These were small factors in my very enjoyable stay, but perhaps the next hotel these folks do, they'll make note of these things.
