Cool concept and very modern hotel, but if you happen to get a room on the back it’s very noisy from the freeway underneath. In addition, the gym has no free weights, no mats, no privacy and is very hot with only three cardio machines and another piece of equipment with limited effectiveness. Breakfast isn’t included like all the other hotels we stayed at during our two week visit. And finally, the shower pressure was quite low.

The property was very nice and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a bottle of wine and snacks for our anniversary celebration which was very generous of them. Parking and getting to the hotel is a bit tricky but it's a Valet parking free of charge so was very helpful.

Great location. Breakfast not great, best to walk 5 min to pier for breakfast. Roma was clean but we were on city view side so there was a lot of traffic noise. Our room was much smaller than the others in our price range. I peeked at the others so don’t stay in room 302.

This hotel was….interesting. It is sleek and sexy with black shiny, slick surfaces. But along with that look comes a cold austere vibe with hard edges that lacks a cozy welcoming feel.
There is really no lobby space. The hotel seems to have been a bank or something in its former life because there is a completely pointless atrium that is basically closed off on the top and bottom that just takes up space. So no place to sit and work. The breakfast is prohibitively pricey. There is nothing at all that is authentic Türkiye, you may as well be anywhere for how it feels and looks inside. Lastly, they pump deodorizer in the air that I imagine is filled chemicals I’d rather do without.
The place is clean and modern, but it’s just not my kind of place.

We stayed here for 6 days and I honestly have not one negative thing to say. The staff were AMAZING! From the second we walked in to the second we left, the staff were accommodating and did anything they could to make us comfortable and ensure we were happy. The food service staff were complete gems. Housekeeping were phenomenal. Our room was a very nice size and that is always important to me. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was also a decent size as some bathrooms arent that big. The location was perfect. Walk to your right and you have, what seems like endless, options of restaurants and coffee shops. Walk over the bridge and you are in the middle of all the shopping and small bazaar. I 100% recommend and I would only stay here when we return to Izmir. If I could give 100 stars, I would! The attached photos are of views of the water when you step out the front doors of the hotel and down the pier a bit.

This was an outstanding stay. The hotel is right on the water, our room overlooked the large bay of Izmir. The room was so well appointed, quality, comfy linens and bedding. Excellent temperature control. The morning breakfast offered a pretty large variety of items and omelette were made to order. They had toiletries available that we had forgotten. Wonderful shower and water pressure. Spotlessly clean. Modern and stylish. We would certainly return.

I had a truly lovely stay at Key hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home—especially Kenyan and Coskun, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their kindness and attention to detail made a big difference.

Breakfast each morning was a delight, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. I also have a bit of a crushed ice obsession and the lady at breakfast was kind enough to cater to that without hesitation—such a thoughtful touch!

All in all, a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My experience at The Key Hotel was perfect. The cleanliness, attention to detail, and dedication of the entire staff were outstanding. I especially want to highlight the concierge team at the door—10 stars for them! I was traveling with my baby and a stroller, and every time I arrived or left, they kindly helped carry the stroller up and down the entrance stairs, which are about 15–20 steps. Their kindness and willingness to assist made all the difference. Thank you for such warm and professional service!

Exceeded expectation, large room, bed was comfortable, inside very clean , staff friendly with smile . Pillows were comfortable, large TV with English channels. Overall great stay .
Only issue is the strong smell of fish from ocean which is not hotel issue but it hits you as you walk away . Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Comfortable, classy hotel very close to all the attractions of Konak and Alcancak. Staff were very helpful.

Although the room I had was small, very noisey at night and the hallways very dark, I had an excellent view of the bay. The property was very clean with exceptional housestaff who cleaned and replenished the rooms diligently.

The hotel is by the side of Izmir harbor and lose to everything! Good restaurants on both sides of the hotel along the harbor. Konak Square and the Old Town are 10 minutes walk. Light rails stops are close by and the light rails can take you everywhere. The fair is about US$0.47 and you can pay at the gate with a valid credit card.

Good location for exploring historical Izmir

Very close to the pier and waterfront and also just a few minutes away from the bustle of the market. Unfortunately it can be loud outside, but it does eventually stop around midnight so you should be able to sleep without an issue unless you go to be early. Hotel is clean and has all the amenities you could need, but would be nice if breakfast were included in the basic rate.

Stayed for 4 nights B/B. Our room with a sea view was worth the price, large, clean, comfortable bed with separate shower and toilet. Hotel is location close to the bazar, clock tower and many restaurants outside. Breakfast was good and made sure that we wanted English Breakfast Tea. Enjoyed our walks along pier and watch the sun setting. It was our first visit to Izmir and we would recommend this Hotel.

This boutique hotel is well maintained, great staff in the reception, they made sure to arrange breakfast bags for us all the days we had super early tours, gentlemen in the restaurant/bar was super attentive to us.

Fabulous property! Everything was perfect! We loved this hotel & highly recommend it! We’ll definitely stay here again! The receptionists were extremely helpful in recommending things to see and do, and they helped with our traveling plans. We dined in the restaurant most evenings, Akin did a great job taking care of us, he was excellent! it was my husband’s favorite place to dine! Great location. 15/20 minutes walk to many restaurants, museums, markets, etc.
Small hotel, only 31 rooms, yet has the feel of a larger, stylish hotel One guide book says that if James Bond came to Izmir, he would stay at the Key Hotel. Rooms are very high tech: control the lights, blinds, housekeeping on the telephone, TV, or wall switches.
Our room faced the water and had a fantastic view of the sea and pedestrian promenade.
Concierge was very helpful in arranging tours, and even arranged for a clinic representative to come to our room at the hotel, on Sunday, to administer the Covid test required by the US Government for return to the US; not iinexpensive, but very convenient.
Breakfast buffet was excellent, and included a selected hot dish from the kitchen. And they offered freshly squeezed juices.
When we return to Izmir there is no question that we will return to the Key Hotel. It is excellent in every way.

A great hotel - with great views and service...

We stayed at this hotel on our way back to Istanbul as we had been touring the south coast and had driven down. The hotel is of a very high standard but is a little hard to find. It is right on the waterfront with great views but until you get the attention of someone in the hotel and use the valet service it is hard to know where to park. A sign on the road would have made this easier. Service was excellent, check-in efficient and there were thorough safety checks in relation to Covid 19. Our room was magnificent. It was sea-facing, had a lounge, a free minibar and all the mod-cons and comfort you could wish for. The only thing that was not so good was the food. Both the breakfast and room service we ordered was not amazing. It was not terrible but certainly not up to the standards set by the rest of the hotel. Despite this, I would certainly stay there again - though I would probably eat out.

Our 2-night stay at Key Hotel flew past very smoothly.

The hotel is situated by Izmir's main seafront promenade, close to a fantastic range of dining options, and upon arrival, we were upgraded to a room with a partial sea view, which was a nice surprise.

Overall, the property is very sleek, featuring futuristic touches (elevators, blinds, lights, and comprehensive shower options), and there was enough space for the 2 of us to get comfortable. The circular bed was very novel.

The staff members were very helpful throughout our stay, and notably assisted us with resolving an issue concerning another property we were due to stay in (as we didn't speak Turkish).

We found the on-site gym and adjacent facilities to be handy too.

The small gripes we had were the room we got was too warm, even for winter, and took a while to cool down to a reasonable temperature, and the windows facing the relatively busy area weren't soundproof, so sleeps occasionally be interrupted by sirens or revellers, but these minor flaws were largely overlooked when we were informed about the complimentary mini bar (drinks and snacks).

First class hotel in a lovely area of Izmir. Staff all so friendly & helpful. Our room was stunning with a fabulous sea view.
The weather very pleasant during these last 2 days of September.
The breakfast has to be mentioned. It is included in the price (as is the soft drinks mini-bar in the room) and it’s a good a breakfast that we’ve ever enjoyed in any previous hotel that we’ve stayed in anywhere in the world.
Overall, my wife & I had a wonderful 2 days & nights stay in top class hotel & will certainly stay in the Key Hotel if & when we visit Izmir again.

The room we had was pretty good, it’s clean, and loved that we had a whole mini bar free and we had to change all the drinks to water, and they accommodated it fast. The gym had 3 new machines, which is more than enough for me. It’s near Konak pier, sonlots of restaurants and some shops walking distance.
There is a stairs though to get to the elevator but the concierge is most helpful and will carry your luggage up and down and no need to carry them from the floor with elevator.

Almost the best built property with most advanced facilities around Turkey where I Have travelled so far. Perfect right locates at water front of the city beach with many cozy restaurants nearby. Rooms are decorated with high-Tech and modern styles. Beds and shower are comfortable. One button control of windowblinds and all room lights are convenience. Great view and Well prepared breakfast. Night manager and next morning receiption staff are friendly and helpful. Will Recommend to my friends.

Best hotel we’ve ever been to. Booked a room for me and my daughter. When we had first approached the hotel we felt so welcomed. We had staff help us carry our luggage’s. We’d arrived our check in earlier than the actual time, and meanwhile waiting to be taken up to our room we were offered drinks. Warm staff. Excellent price. Definitely one of the best experiences ever. A really good location near by kemeralti market and Konak pier that features luxury shops. Breakfast buffet had a variety of options. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone. Room is absolutely stunning. Everything included. Minibar included so many drinks and a couple snacks. Definitely Worth more the price. Very clean. Extraordinary location and services.
