Everyone and everything were terrific! This was our first time staying here - meeting up with two other couples over the Super Bowl weekend. Steve was so helpful and happy to adjust our reservation so that we had a very spacious suite where 6 of us could gather to watch the game and to enjoy Frank Pepe pizza on Sunday. With the bitter cold we asked if a microwave might be available and one was waiting for us on the desk when we arrived. We were able to acquire paper plates, utensils, and wine glasses from Kristi and the dining room staff. Proximity to the beautiful Hill-Stead Museum gave us all a pleasant excursion off-site. We also enjoyed the convenience to the lovely restaurant literally next door for two of our dinners. Breakfast in the charmingly appointed \"coffee shop\" was self-serve but with plenty of options and well laid out. We were more than satisfied. An additional coffee and tea station adjacent to the main lobby was a bonus for anyone looking for a hot beverage any time of day or night! The fitness center was clean and with good equiipment for a cardio workout or time with weights! ALL the staff were lovely and truly wanted to make sure we were happy all weekend. Thank you - you are the perfect example of what the hospitality business should look like!

The staff members were warm and accommodating. The amenities like espresso machine is a plus. However the pillows need updating. Some were either too hard or too fluffy (felt like foam pieces put together). The hotel is beautiful and has a big cozy lobby area but the 2nd floorboards creak and since we were on the first floor , we could hear every step of the guests in the room above us.

Daily facilities fees for the amenities that are included, at least on the website. Dated rooms, uncomfortable bed. Bathroom was also stained and bathroom fan didn’t work. To get someone to clean the room you had to place a sign outside. Staff members double charged for the fees and then seemed annoyed that I complained. For the money I should’ve stayed at the Hampton!

This is a beautiful place to stay! The hospitality was so friendly and always freely helped us. They each dressed very professional and spoke so well. The room we were in was a suite with a queen canopy style bed, it had beautiful vintage furnishings that were really taken care of. There were two lamps that were not working but we enjoyed the peaceful ambiance. They was cake TV so we were able to watch a movie!! The lobby was beautiful and cozy with fresh coffee, espresso, and tea around the clock. There was also a fruit basket in the lobby and fresh baked cookies each after noon. The lobby had a TV and dvd player with movies to watch, and they had a pool table! The breakfast area was so cozy and clean and we’ll stick 7-10! I was really happy there were no tvs in the breakfast area which made it so easy to eat in peace or have quiet conversation. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit this are.

Good ole dependable Farmington Inn. I’ve been staying here for over 6 years when visiting my daughters at MPS. Walkable to school, easy parking, decent coffee in the lobby in the mornings, and cozy rooms that are starting to look a little tired but are still charming. I’m not a breakfast eater so I can’t comment on that, but I like their coffee in the morning, and the fruit, cookies, and wine are a very nice touch in the afternoon/evenings.

I stayed at the Farmington Inn for several days/week and the service was always consistent, welcoming and friendly. I know the other options in Farmington, Simsbury, Avon well and have stayed in many other places, but this is the best atmosphere, service and value for your money.

My room 126 was like nothing was done for 30 yrs. The ac unit on the wall is dirty inside, lamp was broken, bathroom was in terrible condition. Tub was dirty, floor same condition. The whole room smelled bad. Ceiling looked like is falling apart. Carpet on the stairs very dirty.

The rooms have a very unpleasant odor — I had to keep the window open during my stay. The property feels old, dated, and not very clean. Breakfast is very basic. There’s no elevator, which can be inconvenient if you have luggage. There are no microwaves in the common area, and only two bottles of water were provided. I stayed for five days, and when I asked for more water, I had to pay for it.

I travel to this area for work and as a woman, I felt safe in this hotel both the parking and my room. My room was just steps to the lobby and eating area. This hotel is a great deal as it has the privacy and anonymity (if you want it) of a hotel, but the ambience of a B & B. If you want a bit of a homelike atmosphere, this is your place. Also all the staff I encountered at the front desk were delightful and I have stayed at other Classic Hotels. This is my new \"go to\" for the Farmington/Avon area. I will be back!

The Farmington Inn is a charming stand-alone hotel that feels welcoming and well cared for. It was clean, safe, and quiet, with an easy location to access. Just note there are no elevators to the second floor, but that was a minor detail in an otherwise comfortable stay. A warm welcome from the front desk, courteous staff, a beautiful room with a four poster bed and a quiet location centrally located to Farmington, Avon, West Hartford and Simsbury. Coffee and a light breakfast was a welcome start to the day and room service was available on request. We were able to visit all our adult kids in the area and return to our restful home away from home at night for a good night’s sleep - we will be back!
