An excellent apartment hotel

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at the Living Hotel. The apartment was spacious, the bed very comfortable, the kitchen adequate and the corner aspect bright and airy. There’s no reception as such, but there seems to always be someone available if you need assistance. All the workers who we had contact with were extremely helpful and pleasant. If there’s one negative to point out, it’s the breakfast. Although it looked fairly good, at €19 it’s just too expensive. Fortunately, however, it the same building there’s an excellent supermarket.

When we checked in I was abut warm and crabby from our drive to Frankfurt. Marianne was so kind and pleasant my crabbiness was going away. We got to our room and WOW beautiful spacious room. All of the extra touches were amazing ( coffee beans, grinder and pour over coffee pot). I turned our AC down to the lowest temperature. After awhile it still felted warm in the room. I called Marianna asking for a fan. She checked with Pierre and they did not have a fan. I asked about another room. She showed me the other room and it didn’t feel like it would cool down. We agreed I would wait another 30 minutes to see if our room would cool down more. About 15 minutes later Marianna is at our door with a fan. I smiled and hugged her. My new friend! Pierre comped us the breakfast buffet for our troubles. My husband and I came down to the lobby asking for dinner recommendations. Marianna and Pierre gave us recommendations but we decided to just go to the grocery store next door. The store was amazing. We came back to the lobby and I think. Arianna waited for us to say goodbye before she went home. We hugged goodbye. The next morning we came down for breakfast WOW. Amazing breakfast buffet. We met Lina, who was working that morning. Lina was also amazing. Smiles, kindness and simply an caring person. She checked if we needed a taxi to the airport. I opted to call Uber instead. As we waited for our Uber she gave us some chocolate. We hugged goodbye. I felt like we were treated like family 🤗

I liked having a separate sitting area from sleeping area and the patio. It’s great to have washing machines and dryers for free. The outdoor garden area off reception/bar is nice too.
It was great having a fantastic grocery store(Tegut)connected to the hotel. There is not a lot of restaurants right around the hotel so having Tegut was nice.
My air con did not work well which made it uncomfortable to sleep. There was a lot of slamming doors every morning. (I stayed 3 nights). Its located in a residential area and about a 15 minute walk from the train station.

One of our Favorite Hotels in Germany

Outstanding hotel and room! We loved that it was right next to a grocery store, it was very easy to grab something after a long day. The room itself was so large, nice and quiet, had a fridge, was cool when we got into the room after our outings, clean, comfortable beds. The location was also nice because it isn’t a loud part of Frankfurt. Really would recommend it if you don’t mind walking to some of the attractions!

Nice apartment, 30 minutes walk from the city center. The parking is inexpensive and very convenient under the hotel.

I recently stayed at Living Hotel for a total of five nights and wanted to share my experience. Overall, my stay had its ups and downs.

One thing that stood out to me was the self-check-in process. While it was convenient, I didn't feel a warm welcome or personal touch that I usually associate with hotels. It seems to be a growing trend in Germany, but personally, I prefer a more personalized check-in experience.

On a positive note, I appreciated their policy of allowing guests to refill their water bottles for free. It's a thoughtful and eco-friendly gesture. However, on the first day of my stay, I noticed that my empty water bottle was left on the table after the cleaning service. The following day, I found dirty mugs and a coffee maker. This inconsistency in the cleaning and refilling routine was a letdown and affected my overall impression.

On the bright side, the hotel's location was excellent. It was situated in a quiet area, and there was a supermarket conveniently located nearby. This made it easy to grab any necessities or snacks during my stay.

Unfortunately, one aspect that significantly impacted my quality of sleep was the constant wall clicking sounds. It was present throughout the day and night, and sometimes the noise was so loud that it would wake me up during the night. I'm unsure of the source of these sounds, but it was quite bothersome.

Very nice modern hotel. Room with small terrace was great, even it was raining, and I did not sit outside. Free mini bar also a perk. Did not take advantage of the bar/breakfast/living room area, but looked very inviting.
Only the self-checking software could be a bit easier ( no mouse, program reacted differently in EN and DE )
And Old Sachsenhausen and Henninger Turm easy to walk.

Spacious, clean and well-fitted room.

As stated in the title, room is spacious, clean and well-fitted with modern appliances and bathroom. For the price, this is one of the best hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. There is a sizeable supermarket within the same building that closes at 10pm on weekdays and the hotel is a 15 minute walk from Frankfurt South Train Station (Sud Bahnhof); ideal to explore the surrounding towns (and Christmas markets in our case). Fresh glass bottles of water and beer were delivered each day by housekeeping. Be aware though, housekeeping turn up quite early (at 09:30 for us) and ring the doorbell - so do use the \"Do Not Disturb\" button by the door if you intend to sleep in a bit like us. Aside from a few minor gripes, this was as near to perfect a hotel stay as it gets for our needs.

This was a fabulous place to stay - the room was well designed, well appointed and modern. The staff were helpful, and it was great having an excellent supermarket right next door. It was an easy and pleasant walk to the city centre, and there is also a bus nearby. It's also only about 15 minutes by taxi to the airport. I'd definitely stay again!

Don't arrive after 12AM! = no room

After a long day of travel, I arrived after 12 AM, the hotel refused to check me in. They stated it was their rules, even though I had a prepaid booking from the day before. It was almost 1 hour later I was able to find another hotel given the majority of the city was booked. I will never book this hotel again.

This is an excellent hotel. I was easily able to walk to river and Old Frankfurt. . It has a very nice grocery store next door. I loved that the room has a little balcony but everyone smokes on their balcony so if you are a non-smoker it is a little annoying. Another negative not many good restaurants nearby if you don't have a car.

Loved this place. I picked it because it was near Sachsenhausen and had parking (€10 per day). When I arrived I noticed it was connected to a super market, which I was in need of. Quick self check-in with assistance and a welcome bag. I got a single twin room, it was very nice and clean and bigger than I thought it would be, also included a small balcony with table and chairs. There weren’t any restaurants nearby, but I was able to have food delivered after 10pm to my room through the app Lieferando. I was also able to order a takeaway breakfast box for the morning and Uber had no issues finding me when I ordered a ride. It was perfect and just what I needed for a weekend in Frankfurt.

We stayed here after a long flight. The lovely woman working let us check in at 10:30am! We wanted to drop off our luggage but was pleasantly surpised when we got our room way early. That was really nice as we were able to shower and nap. The room was clean and modern. It was big and comfy. We enjoyed a drink at the bar in the living room. It was nice having a store next door also. Parking was a plus as street parking is limited. Breakfast was yummy. We were happy with our stay.

Derag Living Hotel is such a cute hotel! It’s a little bit out from Frankfurt Main, which is what we were looking for (in a safe and residential neighborhood). We walked 20 minutes to a delicious place for dinner. In the morning, we grabbed coffee and breakfast at the little cafe inside the grocery store next door. The check in/out was super easy with very friendly staff. They called a cab for us in the morning too. It also has great amenities and decor.

- I checked in afternoon on 23 of Aug, and there were 2 nice ladies, so the staff is very kind and friendly especially the Palestinian man who gave us some tips.
- Location is perfect, there is a supermarket under the hotel.
- No reception but everyone in the lobby is willing to help.
- The designe is very modern.
- you will find what u need in the kitchen.

Pros :

If you booked via any website and u didn't get an email from the hotel, it will be hard to check in because the check in system accepts only the hotel reservations numbers so you will need a reception.

- Housekeeping wasn't good enough.. they just nock the door and enter.. if you tell them not now they come back in 2mins and tell you clean now or never. In addition, they only make bed, change garbage and put a new tissues. That's it! We ate on the ground and it was clearly need to sweep. In general we found the room as exctely as we left it. Housekeeping is disappointed.

-You need to confirm the exact room you paid for early.

The hotel it is tucked away in a residential area convenient to everything you want to do. A market is literally downstairs which makes your stay away from home more like a 2nd home. Breakfast and dinner buffet is provided at a reasonable addon and you won't be disappointed to say the least The staff takes customer service it to a whole new level. They are friendly, personable, professional, alert, and they WORK their butts off. While Mr. Kahn and Marcio are just two members, the entire staff was amazing to watch.

Nice big, modern rooms with cooking facilities (helped by the fact that there's a supermarket next door) and great views of the city. Polite staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. I've stayed in several places in Frankfurt and this is easily the best. Also a lot cheaper than some of the less good places I've stayed there.

Amazing hotel!

Derag Living hotel amazingly combined hoteling with apartment living. The building and facilities are state-of-the-art, brand new and extremely comfortable. The feel-good room is available for guests to do yoga or exercise. But the highlight is the \"living room\" where it showcased open-space living space complete with a elegantly decorated living room, ad kitchen that always is teeming with fresh food cooked by the staff, and a bar area. It gives the feeling of practically living in a a luxury condo but allowing you to share living space with other guests. The staff is excellent and very helpful. I cannot recommend it more.

Great hotel. Usually stay at the nearby Leonardo but that was full for a trade show. The Derag will be my new go-to hotel for Frankfurt.
Modern, clean, relaxed and informal.
The area is residential but near to main road. Access to taxis is easy through reception. Wifi is free and reasonable in my room. Breakfast has a good choice and plentiful.
There is a shop next to the hotel which is useful for picking up water and other things that can be costly through a hotel. It's also open late.
In the evenings there is food available but it is limited choice/buffet style. You can always walk up to the Leonardo if you want more!
Overall I was very impressed and will look out for the chain in other towns

Hotel Parking was cheap and easy and finding street parking was no problem for dinner and exploring the town. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel - nice surprise - will stay again

Usually stay at the Leonardo (ex Holiday Inn) but was full. Tried the Derag and was not disappointed. Loved the slight informality. All very well appointed, modern and clean. Rooms not huge but all ok. Nice coffee machine and complimentary water. No bath but great shower.
Climate control panel easy to operate - worked perfectly. Not too noisy
Breakfast was in lobby area. Nice setting and everything was a good quality.
Staff very attentive and helpful
The area in Sachsenhausen is largely residential and the hotel is off the main road.
There is a small supermarket adjacent which is very useful to get additional things
WIFI was patchy
Getting taxis was ok. Can book through reception and the process does work
Overall very pleased and will stay again

Clean and new, happily revisit.

The hotel is new so everything is clean and fault free as you’d expect.

The hotel is generally self service but with this concept I expect a little more guidance for those unfamiliar with the concept but that wasn’t really offered without me having to ask. Only a small issue though, other than that I was happy with my stay, would visit again when on business in the area.

The perfect hotel experience

This hotel is amazing! It is unlike any hotel we have ever been in. The experience of staying here is completely unique. They build a casual and social atmosphere from check-in through check-out. The staff are happy and relaxed, and the entire place is completely new and modern. The room was huge and updated. To top it off, dinner and breakfast are both reasonably priced, and the location is about 15 minutest to the airport. There was street parking available too.

Honestly, I can't say enough about the quality of the experience we had at this hotel. The best hotel experience we have ever had over our years of extensive travel.

Every bit as sleek, modern, & clean as the photos

The hotel has a modern and upscale appearance (at first I'd thought that I'd stumbled into a high-end bar when I'd entered the lobby). I was greeted right away and led to a monitor to check in. The process of getting a room was quick and painless (I'd had a reservation). The room was phenomenal. It was bright and modern and very comfortable. It was nice to have access to all of the amenities of an apartment without paying a very high price. Between the furnished kitchen and the grocery literally next door I was able to cook throughout our stay and enjoy hot fresh food while saving money on restaurants. I ate at the continental breakfast (not included but a reasonable 9 Euro) which I felt was very fancy and well-stocked. The bread was fresh, there was a large assortment of local jams, hot tea, yogurt, fruit, eggs, juice, and a high-tech coffee machine to make lattes and espresso. Checkout was equally painless and consisted of me basically just handing my key to one of the hosts. I felt welcome and comfortable throughout the entire stay.
