The staff are friendly but not helpful , when we try to check in they asked us to pay 30euros because we check in early . I have never hotel asked for money because we check in few hours earlier , when we try to leave the facility a day earlier we ask for refund or even refund for the early day , they refused . Breakfast is very basic that is why we didn't buy it . The room is ok but not the best and you have to keep the bathroom open to get heat from the heater , the room doesn't have heater.
I would not go back again to this hotel .

Is the affordability worth it?

Pros: There was hot water and the staff was so wonderful, friendly and helpful. After hours check in and key drop available.

Cons: Mold in the bathroom, bed was very uncomfortable, the shower head sort of worked, not a quiet area (steps from the tram/street car that runs all hours of the night). As of 9/5 there is active construction going on in the area, so maybe call to find out if they have finished.

Old, dirty carpet and appliances. Bathroom is small, and the door opens inside so you have to hug the toilet to enter and close the door. No breakfast as advertised was available. The sign says the front desk is open until 10 pm and I arrived at 9 pm to a closed desk. They said they messaged me the pin for my keys but they did not and I had to call them.

This is a 2 star hotel from the 1990s.

The hotel staff was very kind and the location was amazing. We walked all of Sachssenhausen and then a short walk over a bridge to old town. We never used our car.
There is a parking garage around the corner that is a little cheaper than hotel parking.
This location is everything we wanted.

The room is like a hostel, no air conditioning, and double beds, few amenities, but we enjoyed our time there very much

solo female travler in town for one night.. this place is perfect for what you pay.. staff was extremely kind, great location next to many bars / restaurants. Short 10-15min walk to Römer square. Room was clean, felt safe! Would stay here again. Did not have breakfast but the eating area looked nice. Danke!!!

Great hotel!!

Great location and average room for the price.
The staff was super friendly specially the guy at reception who always help us with a big smile on his face!
The guy doing the rooms also was super friendly.
The location it’s absolutely amazing with very nice bars around the hotel and great take away places.
It’s like 10 min walking from the city centre.
If you’re on a budget holiday this is the best option (don’t expect a 5* hotel for the price ).

Great location! Very close to bars and restaurants. Grocery store about a block away and very close to downtown Frankfurt. It’s an older building but comfy. Windows open for air circulation. Access to elevator. WiFi was great. Because it is located near popular bars it can be loud. Loved our stay.

The location is very good if you want to be near an area of bars and restaurants on an old part part of Frankfurt. You can visit the city by walking which is great.
The hotel is not modern, but it is well maintained. The carpet may show signs of use. Everything is very clean, except the details on the floor. If you practice Yoga and lie on the floor, you realize this.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It was a good experience. If you want a inexpensive place to stay fo for it.

Our flight arrived early-we were unable to check in early. The TV didn’t work. No one pre-ordered breakfast-so there was none. Communication was difficult-they spoke very little English.
The location was good for Sauchsenhausen. It’s near a lot of restaurants and bars.

The Asian man who worked the reception desk was very accommodating and helpful. The heat was not working properly in my room and he took care of the problem immediately. The man who fixed the heater and cleaned the rooms was very courteous. This hotel is an older hotel but I appreciated that is was small and quiet. I would stay here again!

Everything except for the safe worked, the price was low, and the location was excellent. But the safe didn't work, the toilet lid would come off unless I held it down with one hand while flushing with the other, and the shower cycled between just right, cold, and scalding much faster and less predictably than any other tankless shower I've ever used. All in all, it was okay.

The furnishings are old enough that they're becoming retro, but the room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet is top, huge selection. Great location across the river from downtown but really close to nightlife and a short walk to the cathedral. Great value for the price. I'll stay again next time I'm in FRA.

Very helpful staff, which is extremely important when you are in a country we you don’t speak the language. The hotel is ver close to the amazing Christmas markets. The markets are only about a10 minute walk and it is a very pretty area that you walk through. Hotel is spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable.

Handy to old town and museums.

This hotel was a nightmare to get too due to traffic. When we finally got there we couldn't find parking,.... anywhere. We drove around aimlessly trying to find somewhere to park so we could check in at least. After about the third pass of the hotel we spotted a hotel parking sign in this little narrow driveway in the one way lane. We drove in and found a space for our car in the 7 available, and after the 15 point turn we wiggled the Ford Focus in. Don't know what we would have done if there want one available. Lucky for us the hotel was excellent. We met Herr Frank who checked us in, and he was the nicest guy you would ever meet. He gave us some great advice on what to see and how to get there. The location want to bad either, right by the river and walking distance from the old town and museums. There were plenty of great eateries around. We found a great little restaurant just a few doors down from the hotel as you approach the river. The owner couldn't speak either English or German, but was so nice. Turned out to be a Syrian restaurant. The food was excellent and very generous plus cheap. The hotel room was very clean and well presented plus comfortable. Breakfast was nice as well and not too expensive. I would probably stay here again. The hotel was excellent, but the parking very ordinary.

It was a last minute booking as usual to my frequent unplanned trips, the hotel is ok , I had a serious problem that shouldn’t be a thing , my international plug converter broke in my bag and the hotel didn’t have anything to help me charge my phone which I use to navigate through the city and to the airport it was really stressful and scary leaving to the airport with a battery under 10%

I didnt even stay, i got there and saw rhe location and condition of the place and requested a refund for the room. Expedia customer service has been trying to contact the faculity for rwo days and still no word on my refund. The neighborhood stunk, i didnt even want to get out of the car.

Cheap, and straightforward but beware of bad WiFi

You get what you pay for the most part. Room is tiny but clean. Excellent location, walkable to most attractions and the metro.

Would receive a higher rating but for the WiFi, which did not entirely reach our 5th floor room and was both extremely slow and disconnected frequently - quite frustrating when trying to research the rest of your trip.

No-frills hotel in lively Sachsenhausen

We reserved a queen-bed room, which was a mistake. The bed had one side pushed against the wall, so the occupant on that side had to crab-walk out the bottom of the bed. We later saw some rooms with two single beds, and the layout looked much better.

There is a Rewe Supermarket/bakery 5 minutes south on Dreiechtstrasse, and another coffee shop next to the hotel. We didn't try the hotel breakfast.

There are tons of restaurants and bars in the area walkable from the hotel. A streetcar line runs outside the hotel, and connects to all public transit.

There is no air conditioningand no screens on the windows, but we were cool enough in mid-May

I've travelled far and wide. Nothing prepared me!

I've travelled to cities across Germany staying in a range of hotels. This is awful, the next inspection it will be fortunate to stay 3 stars. The service was poor and rude in my opinion. The room was a disgrace, the key hardly worked and the shower wow! The door was hanging off, it dipped slow water and covered the floor. There was two tiny sheets to cover us on a cold night. Whenever I asked about this rude staff quickly grabbed the phone. I found the whole place very intimidating, cold and noisy.

Small hotel with amazing location. Located in the middle of the area for local pubs, restaurants and 10 minutes walk to downtown. Cannot ask for better location, 2 minutes to the local grocery store. Clean, friendly, we had no complaints. The only thing needs to be upgraded, very small bathroom that includes the shower. Despite that, if short stay, we will stay there again.

The staff are really nice and are beer knowledgeable of the area and metro times and routes.
It's located south of the Main river but a tram will take you across and back, alternatively, you can walk.
The bed is very soft, not that comfortable and walls are thin.

Most everything about the hotel was noisy...doors squealing, doors slamming, wall thin. If you can handle that part, the hotel is good. The gentlemen at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated them.

Terrible experience, we arrived there and the most unprofessional reception person ever. I asked for an extra Duvet and he rudely refused why, why do you need another blanket. After wasting 5 mins I convince him to give me an extra Blanket/ Duvet. He said I don't work here every day that's why I don't know if I am allowed to give or not. Wasted 10 mins on the counter just trying to pay the booking and he didn't know how to use card terminal. Please avoid

Nice hotel close to river.

Frankfurt City was beautiful and from the hotel it was not far away. I enjoyed the river festival too and there were lots of attractions as well as best Hospitals in the world too. There is no doubt the visitors will not enjoy the city. Shopping centres were marvellous, cafe, restaurants and lots and lots of attractions in the city. I believe Frankfurt City is the main hub in Germany for business, visitors and lots.

Room is great for a sleepover, but generally small. Receptionists were very friendly and it's nearly in the center of Frankfurt (5mins of walk). Daily roomservice, only issue we had was the wifi signal problem.

Best location for food and drink

I was there over the weekend on a business trip and i mostly liked the location. It is literally one step away from the Apfelwein restaurant and bar area Alt-Sachsenhausen. Rooms were okay for the price, not too big but alright. Beds were a little soft for me, but I like \"rock\" beds.

A very good budget hotel

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during a city break to visit the Christmas market. The hotel is very conveniently located for transport links - the S-Bahn line S8 runs directly from Frankfurt Airport to Muhlberg station, from which the hotel is only about 10 minutes' walk. The hotel is within walking distance of the City Centre, or (although closed for refurbishment during our stay) there is a tram stop just across from the hotel. The area is lively, with a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars but we were not disturbed by noise in the night at all, and the area felt safe.

Our room was clean and generally in good condition, and the bed was very comfortable. The buffet-style breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The reception staff were all very helpful and gave us lots of information to help us get started exploring the city.

I would love to give this excellent budget hotel 5 out of 5 but there are two reasons why I can't. Firstly there were a couple of minor maintenance issues with our bathroom, which didn't cause us any problems but clearly had been there a while and detracted slightly from an otherwise very nice room. Secondly there were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room - there are plenty of lovely cafes nearby but being able to make a nice cuppa after coming in late at night would have been great. Overall we were very happy with this hotel and would be glad to stay there again, next time we'll just be sure to bring a kettle with us!
