Let me start by saying that there was a conference in town the week I stayed so I paid $500+ a night for this hotel - this is NOT a $500/night hotel.
Overall, the hotel is a bit dated with red decor everywhere. The outside construction made getting an Uber/Bolt difficult, and I had to walk through some dark alleys by myself to access public transport (and there are some sketchy stores nearby if you make a wrong turn). The room was basic, neither of the lights by my bed worked and the blow dryer burnt out within 30 seconds of use (they provided me with a new one). Oftentimes the front desk was not manned and any issues I had had to wait for the next day to be dealt with, such as my internet code not being valid. Brunch was okay - some lunch meat and fruit, the \"hot\" food was often cold and the break was not fresh.

Very nice staff. An excellent price. The room was clean and the water was hot. The breakfast buffet was fresh and good, with hot options. Not the best views, but a good place to sleep at the end of the day. Not far and definitely walkable to the core area of Frankfurt.

Great hotel in Frankfurt centre

Location is very good, just meters away from Zeil. Hotel have private parking. Even in the Covid times the breakfast was amazing. Staff is very helpful and the room was perfect. One of the few hotels I highly recommend (at least for business trip).

I came back to my hotel room on the second day and the lights were on and someone else's pass key was in operation. I thought it belonged to house keeping but was advissd by reception that it was not a housekeeping key. I was also told the managerwopuld be asked to check the camera footage but this did not happen and when I went to check out the next day I enquired at reception.the next and all tgst happened was I was asked if anything was missing and when I replued that as far as I was aware notbjng was missing the reply was ' well isn't that the main thing'. I left my email address and that was a week ago and I've heard nothing fron the hotel. Obviously this is not the first time this had happened but as nothing was taken then 'thats the main thinng' and quire obviously the only thing tgst counts as far as the hotel is concerned. While I was tokd that no unauthorised person.can get to the hotel rooms in this case someone did and used a non hotel key cardard to get into my room but nothing was taken so 'thats the main thing'. The fscf that someone else accessed my room seems immaterial to the hotel .

The hotel is generally fine, the area is a bit backstreet but its safe, the rooms are quite good, a nice size and comfortable. The only thing is I had an adjoining door and the people next door sounded like they were in my room. Also, don't get the first floor over the breakfast room as you can hear people scraping chairs from 6:00am. But overall, a pleasant stay and it was nice and quiet outside of the above annoyances.

I booked this hotel for a two night stay in Frankfurt and was positively surprised. Décor is beautiful, it is clean and staff is very friendly. The only issue I had was slow internet which should be a quick thing to fix. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Frankfurt!

Worst Hotel ever

This was the worst hotel ever I stayed in in my life. First when we arrived, we were given a room that does not have an electricity. We reported it to the reception, they came and check it and could not fix the power issue. They have given us another room. when we enter it, it was smelly. which was agreed by the receptionist. then they gave us a third room.
At check out, the hotel team were rude at check out, an when we asked for the manager to report a problem, they said you booked through expedia and so you can leave a review there!!
I don't recommend any one to this hotel at all.

The hotel itself is fine, albeit in a rougher neighborhood. The sauna was not included, and costed 7 euro per person-- not indicated on the booking.

What we objected to the most was the treatment by the staff. One of our guests sat on the toilet seat which shattered (poor quality plastic) the hotel charged us 70 euros for the replacement seat, saying that was the cost for a replacement lid and service. When we asked to see invoices documenting the costs, which were clearly excessive, they refused to accommodate us. They repeatedly threatened us with police and eventually consulate intervention. We offered to pay a more reasonable price (25 euro) but they refused. Later, when we tried to take back our card after several minutes of disorganized record keeping, the man behind the counter grabbed my arm and tried to yank me across the counter, and continued to physically threaten. This all happened in full view of many other patrons. Do not book this hotel!! What you save in cost you will likely lose to the crooked management who will try to recoup costs in an abusive manner.

The colour of the hotel in the photos put a little concern in my mind. However it is a traditional dark red not pink as first thought. A minutes walk to trams, trains and underground. Located in the middle of Zeil shopping which we enjoyed. It was clean, excellent staff and good food. Will use again

Convenient location

The location is great! Next to shopping street and subway. There is direct train to the airport and exhibition centre. There are quite a number of restaurants nearby. The room is big but the decor is rather old. The breakfast is good but for coffee lovers, you will be very disappointed. The cleanliness is average and don't expect white towels.

Hotel advertises air conditioning and there was not any in our room. Our room from what it looks like was a public restroom converted into a room. Customer Service did not care and said there nothing they could do. Many of the other Amenities were non-existant.

The recepcionist.

The recepcionist explain the rules several time like a militar, with the phrase is it clear?

This hotel is in a pretty good location. We paid a lot for what was a bit disappointing. The staff was nice, the hotel and rooms are clean, and it is newly renovated. It is not, however, a 4 star hotel. I would recommend it if it were less expensive.

This is a pretty okay hotel. Staff are friendly, rooms are big, clean, but dated. Better than average European breakfast. Ten minutes walk to Altstadt if you're there for the sightseeing; the immediate neighborhood seems a little sketchy, but it's just a couple blocks to the prime shopping district. Also two blocks to a major U-bahn/S-bahn station.
Overall it's a decent place and a good value.

Nice place in a sketchy location

Super close to Konstablerwache and tons of public transport but a little nerve racking given the neighborhood. Double room was plenty big, clean, comfortable. Bath was fine too. I think they cater predominantly to an eastern Med crown. Decor comes right from the Levant. Small mosque across the street but I could not hear the call to prayer as I was on the other side of the hotel so that was a plus. I was only there one night and cannot really complain but with so many other choices in Frankfurt, I don't think I'll stay there again.

Location was great ----- just walking distance to the Zeil shopping street. Hotel management was friendly and accommodative ..... with complimentary wifi/internet service provided throughout the 2 nights of our stay. Only disappointment was the need to move room after discovering that the jacuzzi-type shower could only deliver hot water. Nevertheless, the response from the hotel housekeeping was fast and the decision was made quite quickly as well as offering some helping hands to transfer our stuff.

I've had better dreams

We arrived at the hotel at 7am due to our flight arrival time. They were very generous and let us in the room even though check-in time was not until later that afternoon. They did make a point to let us know that we were not permitted to have the breakfast that was currently being served.
The twin beds pushed together to make a queen were not particularly comfortable. The twins were sheeted separately, so there was a defined crack in the middle of the bed. The mattresses were also quite dense so not a great night's sleep.
We were also told that we were not permitted any additional towels which was a little harsh.
Once we were allowed to eat the breakfast we found it good with lots of variety. The location at first felt a little industrial, but it was fine enough to be within walking distance to wherever we wanted to go.

The staff was friendly, the location was good, the hotel is reasonably priced for what they offer. I did not appreciate however that the internet access was censored, some web sites blocked. Very surprising in a country like Germany. So if you want a hotel and don't care if safe search is turned on to kindergarten level, this is a good choice.

Overall, I was pretty happy with my stay. The hotel itself was nice - the room had an upscale look to it, nice TV, decently comfortable bed, etc. I thought the location was great - just a quick walk to public transportation and most of the tourist sites, shopping, dining and the river. Supposedly the neighborhood to one side of the hotel isn't the greatest, but I didn't encounter anything bad or unsafe-feeling during my stay. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of variety of both hot and cold foods. My only issue with my stay would have been that the walls seemed a bit thin. As I was going to bed I could hear doors closing, toilets flushing and I could faintly here the sound of a TV. I thought the overall value was good, given the quality of the hotel and the location.

We had a few days to spare in Frankfurt.. Randomly picked this based on reviews, so here is mine... Great shopping and trains with in a 5 minute walk.. 10 minute walk to river and old cafes and churches. My only negative is that the front door seemed to be in an alley way, at the same time that had no traffic. if you are the type of person to stand out in front of your hotel for more then the amount of time it takes to check in, you may not like the alley way! I dont usually spend much time in front of my hotels.. great place, nice gym very clean.. great breakfast! Good Value! worth it!

The room was a little small, but adequate for an overnight stay. Actually, the hotel is centrally located for Frankfurt. There was some noise outside of my room as it overlooked the parking lot for the hotel (persons arguing, and a poor-looking view). However, the bar is open 24 hours and the breakfast was fabulous! The desk manager and respective associates were kind, accommodating, and always pleasant. Please do take a spell at the Grand Hotel Dream.

i don't think this hotel was situated in the nicest part of town. it was in a bit of a back alley and as a female traveller by myself i must say i didn't feel quite safe walking by myself. it is near all the shops and train station isn't too far away so it is in a convenient location, but was not for me. as for the decor...i felt like i was in a trashy retro hotel. the bright red building might have given away what it would be like inside, but at least it was clean. the view of my room looked out to a car park and the back of other buildings, so not the prettiest sight and the windows had spikes on the outside, so again maybe not the safest area.

Great local hotel with everything except...

Their Internet access wasn't working for me. =(
I was placed on the 5th floor and my laptop wasn't detecting any signal or a very weak one with the Wi-Fi. That's very important for me while travelling to be able to keep in touch with family & friends back home while being able to work as well. So that kind of put a major damper on my stay as travelling solo.
Room was clean and decently accessorized along with nice flat panel Lcd screen and iPhone/Mp3 Dockable Desktop Alarm.
The Air Conditioning I would say needs servicing as it was quite weak. =/
Their complimentary breakfast is also great, except the rule of not being able to bring any food back to rooms. =/

Nothing dreamy about this hotel.

I hate paying more and not getting a good value. Instead, we received a poor room with bad design, poor cleanliness and a poor location overall. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel by European standards and I'm surprised to see it billed as such. The lobby and reception desk are cluttered with stuff to sell and paperwork. Our reservation took a while to find. We were sent to a small room with twin beds instead of a double room with double bed. Then we were given a small room with a double bed. The room was set up for a single. The extra duvet given to us later looked like it came out of the dirty laundry. The door to the bathroom was a sliding glass door that did not provide privacy. The door and the shower (no tub) needed scrubbing. The decor is very dated with a touch of hideousness. The room was lit by the two bed-side reading lamps, which were very bright and worked together. No option for just one person to have light (unless removing a bulb) and no option for ambient light. We didn't mind the paper thin walls until the vacuuming started in the morning. The establishment is really dreaming if it thinks it is close to a 3 star hotel. We were very disappointed with our choice. There are a lot more hotels in Frankfurt to choose from.

Not sure how it got rated but this is a 3-star hotel at best. It makes other 4-star hotels look increadible next to it.

It's average for the decor, service, and the breakfast is not very good.

My room faced the road that had the noisy crowd that seem to hang out or walk by every night. It did not matter if my window was closed, I could hear them.

The hotel is not easy to find if you don't know where you are going.
It is located a block away from a cool neighbourhood and shopping streets.

Clean, modern, good value good location

The Grand Hotel Dream is just on the edge of the main shopping district; literally two minutes' walk from Konstablerwache U-bahn station. It's clean, modern, but not flash. Staff were courteous and helpful. Neighbourhood is a tiny bit seedy, but more in a way that is interesting / Bohemian than anything to be worried about. Definitely worth the price.

Frankfurt Dream Hotel

The hotel was spotless clean and well kept and met my expectation. The staff also was nice and easy to deal with. It is very close to the main shopping street and also a short walk to the Christmas market during the holiday season.

The only complaints were the free internet was intermittent. Would work for 20 minutes and then down 10 through the 2 days of my stay it did this consistently. Only two English TV channels, CNN and BBC news.

Excellent Value, Close to subway

For the price, this was an excellent hotel. The room was considerably larger than the average Frankfurt hotel room in this price range. The provided breakfast was typical in a pleasant room. Breakfast and reception service was friendly. A block away from the Konstablerwache S-Bahn station makes it easy to reach from the airport. Pedestrian / shopping mall is righ there too, and close to other tourist sites.

Hotel is relatively new & well kept. Wide choice for breakfast incl. rice, pastas hot dishes and cold cuts, cereals, fruits,etc. Reception staff very freindly & helpfull. Hotel located some distance from subway station so if you have heavy luggage like us, not easy to drag your bags thru the pavements to hotel. Not ideal location if you're attending EXPO but great if you like shopping.

Good value, out of way location.

Hotel was nice, clean, good value. A little hard to find and a bit out of the way. If it's your first time to Frankfurt, it might be a challenge. Otherwise a good pick.

Not fantastic by any stretch

Great location but was terribly dissapointed with the lack of services at the hotel. For instance, there isn't a same day laundry service, the front desk advised that 3 days are required to return laundry. There are only two new service channels in english, no in-house movies and the room service menu is sparse and available in German only.

Lots of improvement necessary for this hotel to live up to it's 4 star rating!

Friendly and helpful Staff

This hotel is one block away from a major underground train station and convenient to multiple venues. The terrific Frankfurt Zoo is a few black away to the east and to the west a few block away is the hugh shopping district. Old Towne is an easy and enjoyable walk/ All-in-all, a great location to see much of frankfurt. The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable, the staff was helpful and friendly, and breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices..hot and cold.

Didn't expect much but quite a nice hotel

After the previous review, wasn't expecting much. I found the hotel a bit hard to find, as it was in a street that didnt seem to be present on certain maps. We should've printed the map! Checkin was a breeze. No problems! Room was really clean. Safe was handy. Breakfast was standard. Not something to boast about, but your average fare, sausages, eggs, yoghurt etc. Nothing to write home about, but anything less would raise eyebrows. Location - GREAT. I loved the nightlife around there. A market was present in the square on Thursdays, 2 minutes away. Supermarkets all around. Cafes, restaurants at night, just minutes away. I was a bit scared of the internet not working. The cable connection did not work, but the wireless connection worked well. One negative would be the spruiking of the airport service. They charged a reasonable exorbitant price to the airport early in the morning when we were able to catch the train from the train station (2 minutes away) for like a tenth of the price. With the location, the cleanliness of the rooms and the nice service, this hotel is a hidden gem.

Hotel was in a convenient side street from the main shopping district and close to S-Bahn/U-Bahn. Only consideration, if you need repliable internet access this place isn't for you.

Das Hotel ist angenehm, aber kein Hightlight. Die Lage ist unangenehm. Im dunkeln ist man nicht gerne draußen. Restaurants und Bars in unmittelbarer Nähe. Baustelle am Haus und Umgebung.
