We had the most wonderful stay! I traveled with my two grown kids, and it was a nice surprise that my son has his own room. We also had a balcony that overlooked the beautiful Cathedral!
Biona, at the front desk was amazing! She was kind, patient with us, and went above and beyond for us!
The restaurant was incredible, and the staff was very friendly!
The location is perfect for the Christmas Market, and I highly recommend this hotel!!

The front desk was really great, and the breakfast was really great. Everybody really works hard at this hotel. I loved the location and my room was right across the cathedral so I can hear the church bells which was really nice. The room is small, but it doesn’t matter. I was only there to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was OK.

Hotel in the shadow of local Cathedral. Great location.
Restaurant was fantastic. Tip order one meal per two people. It’s huge. I had something called sausage symphony. It was as good as it sounded, but so much food.

If one comment not so much a complaint was that at check-in they charged my card. Saying the Expedia was just to hold the room. We’ll see how much we spend.
All in all would recommend.

The room was very clean. This was literally the only hotel that had availability in the city centre within my budget so I took their \"family room\", which was very spacious for a solo traveller. I would imagine it's a decent size room for a family of three. The location was great, very close to the metro station so it was handy. But the staff were too busy with restraunt orders and it was very difficult to catch them to have conversation with. When I wanted to check out in the morning, none was around the reception and again it was difficult to get hold of any staff...The noise from the street was too loud...and windows were all open when I arrived when it was less than 10 degrees. So the room was freezing cold and it wasn't warm even after I came back from dinner.

When I arrived at 1900 the day of my check-in, no one was at the front desk to help me check in. The keys were not in the box out front like the email instructed, so I had to walk over to the restaurant to ask for help. A waiter found the person working the front desk, and directed him over to me. I finally got checked in, and thought the room was satisfactory and clean. Since the hotel does not have AC, I had to leave my windows open and was woken up at dawn to a very loud delivery being unloaded to the hotel restaurant right below my window. When I tried to check out the following afternoon at 1100, no one was at the front desk again and I had to wait 10 min before someone came downstairs to help. They also don’t have a place to store luggage and had multiple suitcases against the wall of the tiny entryway to the hotel. Overall, I would NOT recommend this staying at Paulaner am Dom. The location was central to sightseeing, and easily walkable. But those benefits did not outweigh the negatives in my experience.

For the price and compared to other places we stayed in the Netherlands and Europe it was a downgrade and did not meet our expectations. The area was nice but the room was very basic, no fridge and no air so we had the windows open. But then you had the people at the Paulener pub smoking so it wasn't ideal for us. The breakfast was very good and the staff at breakfast were very friendly.

Excellent location, right next to St. Bartholomew Cathedral in old Frankfurt. The Paulaner restaurant attached to the hotel is convenient for lunch or dinner. Breakfast at the hotel in the morning is great, offering a full array of options. Room was clean and spacious, and in great condition. Excellent spot!!

We booked a premium double with a balcony, and it was worse than a small dorm room and the balcony looked out at the street with awful apartments opposite!. The photos online misrepresented this hotel completely. We complained and were told they were full, so no other options. Thankfully, the door to the patio was completely broken and falling out so they had no choice but to move us to another room (even though they were full!). We were grateful that it was a two bedroom suite with a balcony looking over the cathedral (as expected from the photos). The breakfast was decent, but on our last day I noticed that the bread was extremely moldy. It had been in the bread bin for days! They removed it but it put me off completely. I would NOT recommend this unless you want to be right next to the cathedral, over their very thriving and noisy bar/restaurant.

Could not have asked for a better location. So close to both a parking garage and public transportation. In the same plaza as the cathedral and right around the corner from the heart of old town. Staff was friendly, room was well maintained. Breakfast was fairly typical European style, but plentiful. Be warned late sleepers, the cathedral bells will wake you up!

The location of this hotel is a major highlight, nestled in the charming old town and right next to the iconic Frankfurt Cathedral. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the staff member who upgraded me from a single to a double room was lovely. Just be aware that the double room, while appreciated, has a standard double bed that could feel small for two occupants. Also, the room's proximity to the restaurant below meant some noise in the evening, although this did improve after 11 PM when the restaurant closed.

The hotel was clean, had a wonderful breakfast buffet, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, my room was located on the streetside and I couldn't get a good night's rest for even one night due to the noise from a pub across the tiny street where the hotel is located. I recommend asking for a room away from street noise. Otherwise, great hotel and restaurant serving amazing, traditional German food and beer. I will stay there again, but I'll be sure to ask for a quiet room.

Great smooth quick check-in young lady. 10 ++/ AA +++ stay. Great WiFi. Nice clean room Elevator. New and modern room and bathroom, GREAT view of the Dom from the room. Can walk to all city historical sites. Parking was a little issue since they do not have parking. The public parking closes and is an issue if you have an early flight out of FRA airport, but it all worked out fine, No 24 hour desk. Still a vey lovely stay. Daniel- USA

Very short walk -about one block- to Dom/Römer U-bahn station. 300m walk to Römerberg. We had just one evening in Frankfurt, so this was the perfect location!

Perfect location for discovering Frankfurt. Old town is literally right outside. Shopping is a stones throw away. Easy access to metro/trams/buses/taxis if needed. Carpark was 5 minute walk if even and was very affordable.
Safe, clean. A little weathered but expected and charming for Europe. Friendly staff, more than enough breakfast variety. Connected to German restaurant which was also great. Our room had view of the beautiful cathedral which is literally right outside. I travelled with 1 yr old and felt perfectly safe.

This property needs significant maintenance and upkeep. Our room had torn curtains, a leaky sink, broken or missing cove moldings, and a container of rodent poison in one corner. Even though our room was nonsmoking it was obvious someone had been smoking in it recently. The location was great with easy access to Xmas markets and the Romerberg but the property itself sucked.

Great location next to Dom (cathedral) with attached restaurant on the first floor. Restaurant was quite enjoyable. Reasonably sized and comfortable room, although not particularly fancy. Only quibbles were lack of hooks and enough towel racks in the bathroom. Great walking location to many restaurants, the river, downtown, museums, etc. U-bahn station within steps of the hotel with direct line to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station).

We lived in Frankfurt years ago and wanted to stay near the Romer. This hotel is close to the S-bahn and U-bahn accesses. Conveniently in old town Frankfurt it was perfect to wrap up our vacation right by the main Christmas market. The morning breakfast is fantastic! You are offered fresh eggs how you like them if you so choose, and they will make you a coffee or cappuccino. Our room was right above the restaurant so it was a bit noisy in the evening but the restaurant closes around 10. The bathroom was great and spacious, and the bed comfortable.

We selected this place for the location near the Christmas Markets and it did not disappoint. We were never more than 20 min from most of the markets but the hotel had a nice, quiet space about it. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Our only feedback is the room was a bit warm for our tastes even with the heat turned down, and the beds weren’t as comfortable as others we experienced. Also, with the cathedral next door, the room was brighter with the lights coming in. We had dinner at the restaurant below and the food was very good too.

Generally, it is a nice small hotel located in the heart of Frankfurt. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. However, my room was in the third floor and the radiator heating system did not function well. Additionally, not like other rooms, I didn’t have an electronic heater in my room for backup.

We enjoyed our time in Frankfurt and at the Paulaner. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all great. Note that there is nowhere for them to store luggage. This was not a problem for us as we had a car and the parking was just under the market area, very close and convenient. Location in prime.

We had a bad day with a 9 hour train trip taking 12+ hours. The hotel was very sympathetic and organised to leave a key in the safe box so we could get in after the front desk closed. We were able to get dinner at 9.50pm in the adjacent beer hall/garden
The hotel is small and so was our room but it was very well located for walking around central Frankfurt and the river. And we were delighted to find a four person lift for getting to floor 3 and a generous breakfast. Because the hotel is small it can only store luggage at the desk but this worked fine

Excellent location in the historic center of Frankfurt and close to the river. Friendly staff and basic, but comfortable, accommodations. The Paulaner brand is the same as the beer, and a Biergarten is integrated with the hotel. This was very convenient, as the food and beer were very good. It might be a little loud late in the evening if you want to go to bed early, but we had no trouble sleeping to the sound of people having fun. Overall, a great value for the price.

This property is a great value, especially considering the included breakfast. Great location to explore the old town. Our room was quite small and practical - almost like a student residence. The shower is quite small. The biggest downside for us, was the lack of air conditioning. This wouldn't be an issue for most of the year, but this was July, and even with the windows open and two fans on, the room temperature was almost unbearable during the day. Bed was nice, but sleeping was difficult due to the heat.
