Had challenges getting checked in - there is no one at the hotel front desk, it’s completely virtual. Never received the e-mail to virtually check in, tried sending the messages thru the app but they never responded; it took getting Expedia involved to help. First code they provided worked for front door but not my room door. There was a party down the hall and no one there to tell to ask them to quiet down. Would not stay here again.

The picture represents a front desk reception, when in reality there is no desk. We were struggling to get room access because the self check in website was rejecting my passport number. Fortunately an attendant soon showed up and got us access to the room. Things were fine after that. I specifically book hotels and not aparthotels because there is a reception during normal check-in hours.

Both the room and the reception do not match the pictures online, which we did not expect. There is a smell in the room that made me feel sick, should be compensated for the stay. Cleaning could be better. The entrance door to the reception should be locked since it is unattended and the hotel is located in the middle of the city center. I think the price is expensive compared to the hotel standard. Website should be updated with today's standard and not several years old.

Location and room ok, but payment for the City tax a disaester, at the end we paid cash. We havexto register and strip wants to have tax number ülus additional information. I booked with service, but forget it.
The remark with the parking center was good, Konrad Adenauer center close to the hotel.

This is possibly the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. Please stay far, far away. Front desk was surly and unhelpful. Would not consider an early check-in, and observed that baggage left at the hotel was likely to be stolen. TV was broken. Fan was broken. Incredibly loud street noise going on to 2 am. One towel given for two occupants. All of these issues raised to the front desk staff who claimed helplessness. Gave us the email of the owner, whom I emailed. Nothing changed, over AN EIGHT DAY STAY. I have never experienced such a non-responsive hotel. This is more like a \"pension\" maybe one step up from a hostel, but the cost borders on a hotel. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Pay a little extra to stay in a better place.

Fine for the price

I chose this hotel because it said it had 24-hour airport shuttle available and luggage storage. When I arrived, the front desk clerk was very rude and said their luggage storage was full, no early check in was available, and there was no airport shuttle. I was very disappointed, as this was the main reason I chose this hotel. Luckily, he let me make room and store my bags while I left to wait until check in was available.

The actual hotel was fine - good location and inexpensive, so it was nothing fancy, but not horrible either.

It was a one night stay only but it’s a clean and centric hotel that allow you to walk to some attractions near by. Spacious room but shower doors would work so you gotta be careful 1. Not so slip in the shower with the curtain they adapted and 2. Not to make a mess outside the shower because again it can get slippery. Bottom line … completely worth for the price.

Hotel location is plus and minus at the time. Located in the center of the city and walkable to many city interesting points, but at night square close to hotel is a point of meeting for a lot of people, so it becomes noisy. 24/7 shuttle to airport is exhaguration. It's a taxi service thay will cost you extra and not always available, even though we called in advance. Staff is friendly and allowed us to check in early. Room was clean and even had tea pot, microwave and toaster, which was very unusual.

The hotel is very basic. If you just need the bed to sleep then it is recommended otherwise it is not a good option. The area around is quite good with shopping and places to eat. The hotel also refused to keep the baggage at the time of early checkout stating they don't have luggage room which was quite bad experience

A small hotel above a restaurant, nice for a stay in Frankfurt. Situated in a small shopping square with bars, restaurants and shops. Hotel allowed us to pay for early check in and allowed left luggage if needed. Our floor had a communal cooking station with fridge, oven hob and sink which was useful. I would stay again as a good budget friendly hotel. Also a McDonald's across the street which is useful if returning back to the hotel late at night/ leaving early in the morning. Friendly check in staff.

Singles rooms are very hot an if you open a window the smell from restaurants is over bearing I asked for 4 days for this to be addressed and was told it was that way. So not a good choice in summer. Staff not keen to help with the heat in the room.
The room was clean, kettle a cup an small fridge provided nothing else so BYO tea,coffee, sugar etc

Perfect Location/Newly Renovated/Well Maintained

Excellent location; the train station is literally right there. Old town is 1 stop away. The hotel went through a renovation and it’s so nice, clean and well maintained. My room was on the quaint side, but it was perfect for my needs; I mean how much time do you spend in your room. The bathroom was huge and spacious; loved it. I had no problems with my stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I was charged a 2€ fee even though I was there on business. Other hotels will not charge tourist fee when I’m on business travel.

There’s outdated carpet throughout the hotel including in hotel rooms. As result it smells a bit and the room smelled like a dog stayed in room.

The bathroom’s shower head had not been cleaned in months. There was a significant amount of calk or mold on the shower head. No one had cleaned the area above toilet as it was dusty.

The room was inexpensive and a decent place to stay for one or two nights.

Straightforward stay, no issues, nice enough room if basic (would have beenn nice to have tea/coffee not just a kettle. Was very hot in room but older property so no air con but there was a large fan so not a problem. No on site dining but then you know this when you book and everything is on the doorstep (even Mcd's if thats your thing. Bit of a dodgy area, known to be a bit of a druggy hangout nearby but i didn’t feel unsafe.

This was our 4th stay, and right now there is ongoing renovation, so I believe that imperfections like burnt-out light bulbs (3 from 6) in the room and a missed towel set are a misunderstanding. Hopefully, after the renovation is finished, everything will come back to perfect condition!

Hotel is very dated, carpet is stained, climate control non existant. Kettle is in the room, but no tea, coffee or cups. Water glasses were available, but there was no water. Duvets and pillows were thin and not comfortable. Because the room was so warm (even though the weather was cold) the windows had to be kept open and the street noise is very loud. 2/10.

Do not stay here!

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at for quite some time. So bad that my partner and I left after the first night. My main complaint is regarding cleanliness. We found a used condom in the drawer of the room and blood stains and hair on the sheet so we asked for a different room. The second room also had stains and hair on the sheets. The sheets in this hotel are clearly not washed or changed between occupants. When I asked to speak to a manager, the receptionist informed me that the manager will be at the hotel the following morning. But alas, next morning came and the new receptionist informed me that the manager is out of the country and that I can email a general hotel email regarding my complaints and request for refund for the night that I did not stay at the hotel. I never heard back and was never reimbursed. Cleanliness aside, the room is basic and bare- minimum. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the old town. But, I heard a lot of street noise from the room as it is on a busy street. Someone sprayed pepper spray outside the hotel and the effects could be felt in the lobby. This hotel is an embarrassment.

Bad service; When I told the first reception I cannot connect wifi in my room. He (the young guy) just said this is my phone problem. Then I asked the same question to the second reception (the old man). This time he told us it maybe the router issue. But I am very shocked that he did not come up to our floor to restart the router. Instead he asked us to restart the router on our floor. What a bad service!!
Also, the room is quite smelly. Looks like we were staying in the toilet. I strongly request travellers please dont consider this hotel

No frills, but no disappointments

This is a no frills hotel. It’s simple, clean and comfortable. The location can’t be beat. The rooms vary in size and space of room and bathroom. I always opt for this hotel if it’s available and within my budget. It’s basic and the service has got better over the last year and a half.

Expo is a small hotel just off the pedestrianised shopping area in Frankfurt. I stayed there as a late hotel booking for a trade show which meant they were charging an unbelievable €400 for an €80 night room. It has no facilities - no breakfast offered, no bar. Room was a fair size but woodchip wallpaper, a kettle but nothing else needed to make tea coffee (no cup, coffee....), a mini bar that was totally empty. On the plus side the shower room was OK & more modern but sink & toilet were too close.....a basic 2* hotel.

I had prepaid for the accomodation but when I arrived quite late on Friday evening the guy on reception insisted on getting full payment. It was refunded later. There is no bar or cafe but even if they provided a small lounge area to wait for a taxi it would help. The location is good for Zeil shopping area but the unprofessional, unfriendly approach undermines any positives.

Solid budget choice in a top location

I've stayed here multiple times. Great location right by the Konstablerwache S-Bahn (direct line from the airport, so it's even manageable with suitcases), a big transportation hub. Walking distance to the Roemer, Goethe Museum, two stops away from the theater & right in the middle of a busy shopping and dining area. No breakfast served but you have plenty of options in all price ranges nearby. No credit cards. The hotel is ok, but a bit unloved and uncared for. A double is simply two single beds pushed together--as I was alone it didn't matter much (except that small objects would fall in between the beds at night--in fact I found a few items from the previous guest under the bed), but for a couple it may matter. Rooms are reasonably clean. Flatscreen TV but no longer offering non-German channels it seems. Heating worked well; there is a towel heater. At last, they have a tea kettle in the rooms as advertised, but there is no outlet to plug it in: only option to kneel & plug it on the floor by your bed (risking a burn); no tea cups/mugs. No outlet in the bathroom. Need to provide a longer cord or install additional outlets. The small fridge is a lifesaver, but it wasn't plugged in when I arrived & it was squeezed into the space under the desk in such a way that it wasn't possible to even open the door. I had to take it out and install it on my own. They clearly just dropped in the kettle & the fridge without caring whether these may in fact be used. A bit of TLC needed.

My room was very nice, roomy and clean. Biggest concern is the key system, you leave ur key with the desk clerk when you go out, I was assured there was someone on the desk 24 hrs always, as I explained about my experience in Brussels where the desk clerk would go off for coffee etc, had to wait to get into room. Well it happened here, came back one afternoon and the clerks office was barracked, 1 other person was sitting in a chair waiting and she had no clue where the person was, she had been there about 5 minutes at this point. There was no note like back in 5 minutes or anything posted, we didn't have any idea when the person might be back. When she did come back another 5 or 10 minutes later, she walked in opened up the front desk and didn't say a word to either of us. She was cranky the whole time i was there, wish I had taken note of her name, (thin, long brown hair and glasses). The location was great, short walk to subway, old town and shopping was at ur doorstep if you wanted it. There was also a market that popped up on Thurs and Sat right around the corner. I ate at the Italian and the Thai place a block down the street and both were very good. Starbucks is around the corner but it opens late, I like my american drip coffee. Wifi was iffy sometimes, once when i inquired was told the manager was away and it wouldn't be fixed for 3 days? There is construction going on in the street right outside the hotel, so work begins 7am each morning.

Great inexpensive hotel in inner city Frankfurt

We were able to leave our bags at the hotel, which was great as we'd arrived at 7 in the morning. The 3 pm check in is standard for hotels, but the staff let us in an hour early so it wasn't too bad. The room was small, but had a mini fridge and was super clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also small, but nicely renovated and the hot water was plentiful. It did get rather hot (most places in Frankfurt don't have AC), but when we finally remembered to ask the cleaning lady to leave our fan running when we were out, she did even better and brought us another fan.
The location is perfect, literally 2 minutes walk to konstablerwacher station, but it was quiet and peaceful because the area was only for pedestrians.

The hotel is a 2 star hotel. So you got a room and tv, the room i pretty small.
No restaurant or bar, so no breakfast is served.
Check in start 3PM. Not earlyer.
But overall, for one night it was ok. :) I need a bed, I got a bed.

Small hotel, which was ok for being 2 star, just to sleep one night it worked. The room was ok, nothing special at all. was a bed and a desk and TV. Was clean and the bathroom was quite large. Nothing special, but knew about it when I booked. The staff was ok, did not change as many words with them directly. Location of the hotel is good and central. and you can ride the S-Bahn directly from the airport to Konstablerwache (20 mins) and from there it was after all only 2 minutes away and go. There was no restaurant or bar at the hotel.

This Hotel while clean, was situated in such a way that I felt I was entering an unsafe alley into a seedy Hotel. It was close to the Market Square, which was what we wanted, but the room was old and tiny. There was a water heating pot in the room, but coffee was only available at request at the front desk. As our first night in Germany, we expected something larger and more amenities, but soon learned about Germany efficiency, as many hotels were like this...small and minimal.

Best location at a super reasonable price

As first time visitors to Frankfurt we were totally unaware of the city's possibilities and layout, but we soon discovered it is a very convenient city for touring (and shopping). The hotel was so super centrally located that it made every outing a breeze since we could easily stop at the hotel in-between for freshening up or dropping things off. The reception desk staff was always pleasant and helpful - with an \"apple a day\" - along with the traditional hard candies on most hotel desks, they offered sweet juicy apples daily. They also were very efficient in printing out our airline check-in form.

Excellent Location! This is the prime selling point for this hotel.
Spotlessly clean.
Was able to get into my room very early, which was appreciated.
Hard to get breakfast anywhere in the area much before 8.00 or 9.00
A few misses:
- you get a kettle in your room but no teacups for teaspoons, or anywhere really to plug it into....
- no air con, but did get a cheap fan to blow some air around....but it made a terrible noise

Convenient cos near to shopping & eating place.

Able to check in earlier thou official checkin time 3pm. Room is clean & confortable except for the bed. Booked for queen size bed but was given 2 single beds joint together. Imagine sharing the bed with yr wife and got separated!!!

The hotel was fine and the location could not be better. The same train that takes you from the airport to the main train station will bring you to a station half a block away from this hotel. The staff was very friendly, and although there was an issue with a missing fan (hotel is not air conditioned) they found one as soon as I asked.

Basic hotel in the heart of the city.

The rooms are very basic. The hotel is not air-conditioned. Also, street noise woke me up at 6:30am. The bed was comfortable.

Excellent location

Small hotel near the Zeile which is the main shopping street in Frankfurt. Its also close to attractions and the S bahn.
The hotel is outdated and the rooms are noisy as the window opens to the noisy pedestrian area. The only positive is the location and the price.
