Property said it has AC, but it does not. Filthy floors and cockroach traps everywhere. We were only there for 15 minutes and we saw 2 cockroaches. I asked for my money back so we could leave and they would not refund so we left and found another hotel at 10 pm at night. It was that bad. Hotter than hell, no fan and cockroaches. I do not regret leaving I just hope this review saves someone else from wasting their money and time.

Cockroaches. Ants. DIRTY. AC doesn’t work. I’m surprised this hotel is in business and not shut down by health and safety. The doors are always open so you’ll see mice in the halls. When you turn the lights on in the room the cockroaches scatter. And there are ants in the bathroom. Duvets are stained, and have cigarette holes in them. 2” of dust under the beds. This is an absolute nightmare hotel.

An absolute horror. You take a shower and your toilet and the bedroom are fully floaded. Went and told the receptionist and he goes someones will come and fix the problem and that was almost 3 times. Would never recommend to my worsed enimy. An absolute horror 2 nights.

For the price, this hotel is very good. Literally 1 minute walk from Frankfurt am main Hbf. Which is very usefull if you find yourself travelling often. The staff were very nice and spoke english and german. One staff even spoke arabic to help a customer. The rooms are very spacious and look very good. The only issue i had the whole time was the air con didnt work. Other then that, great exsperiance. I would definitely stay there again.

The floor of the room was dirty. The staff was confused about the breakfast procedures. Some tiles around the sink were broken off. Extended phone calls in a neighboring room in the middle of the night were audible in my room. Euro 2024 resulted in doubling of the room price for this.

Blood was on the door, in the bathroom on check-in

When I checked in, the 2 towels on the bed were wet, one of them contained 2 pieces of hair, and the other towel was wet and torn like it had been used for years. I was in such a rush that I needed to catch up with my partner at the Hauptbahnhof and I couldn't ask to change the room, therefore I took a quick shower and ran out of the hotel.

5 hours later, I came back with my partner and this time I had more time to analyse the room. A lot of blood was on the door, in the bathroom, and near the mirror next to the sink. I immediately ran down to the receptionist and reported that, and politely requested to change the room. This young man came, checked, and said we couldn't change the room because \"No one is going to clean it\", he smelled full of weed.

The floor was as messy as they didn't even clean it before my check-in. I attached the photos of the blood and the conditions below.

Since the condition was so bad, I had to book another hotel room for that night and checked out of this hotel immediately. This hotel and its services should be removed from hotels.com

My stay In Frankfurt

Staff were friendly the hotel was safe and clean. However if you want to be able to sleep at night I suggest you go somewhere else nearly every night there was loud banging from the room above people running up and down the stairs and shouting always from 11pm onwards well into the early hours. It was completely unacceptable. Also another annoying thing my key card 4 days out of 5 stopped working and had to be reset where as the card should of been replaced so being out for the day then getting all the way back to my room to see the card had stopped working was infuriating.

On arrival the double room nr. I was given the keycard of, was already in use, it had a person sleeping in the room.
Due to an mixup with another guest who apparently was sleeping in the wrong room.

I was given another double room, same layout, but there was an big airco noise on the outside wall, the window was open at the time and was extremely noisy, closing the window double isolated glass kept the noise out. No view was between buildings.

The room phone to reception wasnt working, I heard no sound or dail tone, reception told could hear me, but I couldn't. So left it unused.

The king size bed was big but the mattress, was not to my liking, too soft and didnt provide enough support for my weight.
I had cramps, poor circulation during the night due to that.
The shower area was extremely small for a double room.
Standing in the shower, at elbow reach one would hit the glass shielding, uncomfortable.

The pros, good things
the rooms were clean, and had an climate control thermostat in the room. Could easily make it an ideal temp confortable, at no point did i felt cold staying in November with 5deg celsuis outside temp.

The Frankfurt central station was just around the corner, less 5mins walk. Within 10mins could reach Railway or subway, if you knew prior which platform you're going for easy to travel.
Flix bus stop across the street from hotel.

24/7 reception walk in & out anytime, even in middle of night with no hassle or needs for conversations.

Not expecting much, but was a bit of a let down

Love the decor, but there was a bad odour in my room, which seemed to be some plumbing problem - the smell of the drain line backing up from either the sink or the shower. Then the toilet bowl was badly stained, honestly it was the overall bathroom that let the whole place down. Given that it was a budget hotel I wasn't expecting much, but it was way beneath what it should have been. The luck I had was I came for a conference so was out early and back late. Also that there was not breakfast seemed a bit odd, nowadays breakfast is mostly automatically included.

Ok, but could use some updates

Out stay at Hotel villa Oriental and Restaurant was ok. Not great not bad. Our interaction with employees and reception desk was very good. The area near Frankfurt train station, attractions, and restaurants are very good. The room itself was meh. Good size,but room amenities are dated. For example, the bathroom, although unique and kinda quirky in a good way, smelled strongly, like a musky or a moldy smell. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the bed linens. Overall the Hotel could use a decent makeover from linens to tile work.

I choose this hotel for its style and unique, oriental amenities. I loved the balcony where I can watch city life. In the room there's a small fridge if you need to cool your drink and secure place for your valuables.
I was especially satisfied with receptionists and cleaning staff. They were very helpful, polite and quiet. Every day, cleaning staff left my room spotless, fresh and with changed bed clothes. They've always ask me If I want more coffee in my room. Receptionist were always helpful if I asked them about places, or telephone call. I loved the warmth and niceness of the people and staff in hotel. I had feeling I am in my hometown neighborhood. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely come back again.

I like this place, the room was beautiful. The decoration it's really cute, the bed is super comfortable, everything is super clean, and staff is very friendly. We had A/C, mini fridge, and safe box. The only problem I had, it's that the main door is not where is suppose to be, but a completely different street. So this hotel is located in the heart of downtown, and space and traffic are CRAZY, so they combined this location with Hotel Paris that is behind it. The hotels share the backyards, so people has to check in at the reception of The Paris Hotel and walk through to the Villa Oriental, not a big deal, but when you are trying to find your hotel it's confusin. You have to talk throught the intercom and they will tell you to walk or drive to the other side. There is no parking at any od the hotels downtown, so if you are lucky and find parking in the side of the road \"awesome\" if not, you have to park in the City Parking Garage that it is in the same block, now, parking is €31 / $37. We are glad we got a cheap hotel because this doubled up just with the parking situation, besides that, everything was pretty good. There are many little restaurants withing walking distance all pretty good and affortable.

Hotel is ideally located near the main train station, with lots of dining options around. Main shopping area is not too far. Hotel itself was good, more 3 star than 4. Rooms are a good size, but toilets are small. Breakfast was not bad, with a decent offering. All in all, not bad for a quick stay.

Tastefully decorated in Nepal theme

Great location near downtown and walking distance to the central station. The exterior and front desk/lobby area is relatively plain. The rooms are furnished and decorated in Nepal theme. A bit small but a comfy and cozy space. Artifacts from the Nepal region are tastefully used for decoration Which creates a unique and charming athmospher! There is also a nepalese restaurant accessible through a shared courtyard. Good food if you like mediterranean food.

A bit of a muddle

The address on expedia is incorrect and the taxi driver could not find it. I eventually found the reception which was around the corner in another hotel which had Merge with the Oriental and was now called Metro Hotel. If you can follow that then this is the place for you!
The room was quirky but comfortable, the staff are nice.

Never book this hotel again!
I arrived to hotel as agreed by 3 p.m. only to find that at 9 a.m. (when I was in a plane) they tried to charge my credit card despite chosen option to pay upon arrival and since there was not enough funds, they cancelled my booking without any notice from hotel or Expedia. Being very tired after long trip I had to take the same room without minibar for the rate increased by 150% as compared to original Expedia booking. Also the manager wanted to charge extra for breakfast.

Very well-located: just a 5-minute walk from Central Station. Nicely decorated in Persian style. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Access is difficult because you have to carry suitcases up and down the stairs a couple of times and there is no one to help with that.

Not a good choice

The hotel is in on a first floor of an old building, next to other budget hostels. Access is through an elevator after a flight of stairs (no reception at building entrance, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs!) The bed is a mattress on the floor. There's no curtain or panel to separate the shower space, which is on the same level as the rest of the tiny bathroom. Location is central, that's the only positive aspect.

An Oasis in the Desert!

Truely enjoyed the Oriental, friendly hosts, a beautiful fine to dine Restaurant, authentically decorated rooms, a generous buffet breakfast, ... overall a nice experience that will leave a good memory. If you are after something different than the usual, this is the perfect place to stay / visit ... We will be back again! WiFi was very slow (unfortunately) and should be improved soon!

Funky smell and bad bed.

Checked in and layed down in the bed for a short nap. My back killed me for next few days. The rooms are somewhat claustrophobic and had a bit of an odd smell. We originally booked three nights but checked out after 1. Thanks to Expedia cancellation policy we basically had to pay for the original booking.

The receptionsts were very friendly and helpful as my children, who are living in Frankfurt, could come and had breakfast with us in the morning before we left.
I had left behind my hairbands in the room and I was glad to hear that the room service had found them and my daughter could fetch them.

Easy walking distance (200 meters) from Frankfurt Hbf. Room was quite nice, the decor was a decent change from \"bland hotel\". Older building, so the elevator was a bit weird (it stopped on landings for half floors), but easy to figure out. If you're not able to walk any stairs at all, this one will be an issue. Staff is knowledgable about the local tourism and the Altstadt. Restaurant underneath was a pretty decent (if slightly expensive) Persian place.

No return calls and charged despite cancellation

I was told my stay was fully refundable in the case of a cancellation. I called overseas to cancel days in advance, and was told the manager would call back. I did not receive a call back for that call, nor any of the additional messages I left the day after, nor the day after that. My credit card was charged more than the amount I was told the hotel would cost. I still have not received a return call about this.

This place is way too small

You have to walk down a stairway to get to the reception, you have to walk up to a stairway to get to the elevator. Good luck if you have heavy luggages.

The room is tiny, the hallway is tiny, it is just a very very small place. The Wi-Fi connection is weak.

All in all, I think it is a very expensive place to stay in Frankfurt.

The hotel is overpriced for the quality of the hotels. They charged a rate compared to a boutique full service fully quality controlled hotel, however the experience was of a run-of-the-mill roadside basic motel. The entrance was smelly, very inconvenient, no assistance with luggage, not even a luggage cart, you have to drag the luggage down and up the stairs. the elevator stopped at the middle of two levels, so you had to drag the luggage another flight of stairs again, WiFi did not work, bathroom was barely functional, shower was shooting water all over the place, seating in the room was very uncomfortable, décor was like ancient Persian residence (if you want that you would go to Iran or someplace like that not Germany), floor was made of tiles cold and hard. I would say, even considering that the hotel was conveniently located next to Hauptbhanof, I would not pay more than 65 euros for this place.

Beautiful hotel in great location

You don't feel like you're in Germany staying in this hotel. You really feel like you're in Persia. The decor is amazing throughout the hotel, rooms are very clean, and the Mediterranean breakfast is delicious. The hotel is very conveniently located less than a 100m from the Frankfurt Hbf station, and is walking distance from the opera house and most of downtown. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The hotel is located 15' easy walking distance from the messe, and 5' WD from the main station. Service is fine. The room was clean and convenient for business traveler. With the windows closed i did not hear the noise from the street and slept very good. The only problem was with the WiFi that did not worked during my 4 days stay at the hotel.

This hotel was about 1/2 block from the train station and easy to find. Being close to a transportation hub was really nice. The room was small for two people, but I was by myself, so it was OK. There was almost no place to store clothes, other than the closet. Consequently, had to live out of my suitcase for a couple of days. Some type of cabinet to put things would have been nice. I also could not find any English stations on the TV. At least one news channel in English would have been nice. The hotel was reasonably nice an convenient. I'd probably look for a better hotel and location if I was traveling with my wife.

Great hotel near the main train station

This is a great little hotel and it's location is superb. It is 11 min from airport to main train station (Haup bahnhof) and less than 5 min walk from station. Much of downtown Frankfurt is within easy walking distance.

The hotel is very middle eastern in feel. There is a lot of tile work, and the rooms are decorated around the middle eastern feel. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel is terrific, with some of the best Iranian food outside of Iran.

I have stayed at a number of hotels in other European cities near the train stations, and this is the best I have found so far.

Nice and cozy hotel, but it was incredibly Dirty, as in EXTREMELY Dirty, the were several millimètres of dried diet, hair and other exciting stuff on the entire floor and especially the bathroom floor was filthy. Several inspecta Big and small were squashers on the Wall, and just left there sticky as if it was furniture. The bed was amazing, service was good, very charming design, but it was simply too Dirty on the room floor and bathroom floor for is to come back again unfortunately.

Esperienza pessima, non capisco se quelli che hanno dato una recensione a 5 stelle siano pazzi o solamente dipendenti di quell’hotel.
Partiamo dalle camere, che, lasciatemi dire la verità, facevano schifo! L’ascensore che porta alle camere aveva un forte odore di pipì, e le suole si appiccicavano al pavimento, ciò vuol dire che qualcuno deve avere fatto i suoi bisogni qui più e più volte. Poi le camere erano sporche, pulizia inesistente, lo staff non cambiava le lenzuola, ma le rimetteva solo sopra, macchie in giro, costante puzza e rumori forti e soprattutto presenza di blatte e scarafaggi. Aria condizionata rotta e frigo anche, bagno sporco, con capelli attaccati al lavandino…da brivido! Una costante presenza di tossici che dormono e si drogano in quel luogo, in giardino e nelle camere che probabilmente tu prenoterai. Uscendo dall’hotel ne abbiamo avvistati tanti di tossici, che sono a stretto contatto con i clienti, e l’ultimo giorno una di questi è stata anche portata via dall’ambulanza! Posto super sconsigliato, molto caro per ciò che offre, non torneremo mai più!
P.S. il personale era ok, due dei tre che abbiamo incrociato durante la permanenza erano gentili, l’altro non si è neanche degnato di salutarci in due giorni che ci ha visto entrare e uscire.

Das Zimmer hat einen typisch orientalischen Charakter und man fühlt sich als wäre man irgendwo in Nordafrika in Urlaub. Im Hinterhaus im eg. Zimmer zur Straße raus, was aber meistens im Zentrum üblich ist und bei geschlossenem Fenster ist der Verkehr nicht so laut.

Die Einrichtung ist originell, etwas dunkel und sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Steinboden ist kalt. Bett / Bettwäsche ok. Dusche / WC Sauberkeit und Funktion ok. In Dusche / WC leider permanenter Geruch wie von Zigarettenrauch, vermutlich durch Ablauf / Lüftung. Frühstück und Restaurant nicht genutzt, deshalb keine Bewertung. Das Personal am Empfang war freundlich. Check in / out problemlos. Anlass für Aufenthalt: Messe Frankfurt.

Das war sehr unheimlich, die Drecksschicht auf den Oberflächen der Möbel war sehr dick und klebrig, die Nachbarn waren sehr suspekt nach drogendealern aus. Wir hatten lange gewartet im den Schlüssel zu dem Zimmer zu bekommen, weil beim Empfang konnte der Mitarbeiter nicht auf unsere Daten schauen, da das wlan ständig ausgefallen ist, er musste immer wieder zu dem Router gehen und den Stecker ziehen. Alles wirkte sehr verranzt, lange nicht gepflegt, die Bettwäsche mit Löchern, rochen nach Kippen, obwohl die wie gewaschen gewirkt haben.
Ich würde nie mehr dieses Hotel mehr nehmen

Orientalische Hotel-Eindrücke am Hbf Frankfurt

Die Rezeptionisten waren sehr freundlich
und der Nachtportier gab mir von sich aus ein Päckchen Kaffeepulver aus, damit ich mir mit dem.vorhandenen Wasserkocher im Zimmer eine Tasse löslichen Kaffee zubereiten konnte. Den offiziellen Check in hatte ich vorab online erledigt. Mein Zimmer lag im 1. OG (Zwischengeschoss), ging zur Straße raus. Trotzdem war es in der Nacht ruhig und ein Verdunkelungsvorhang sorgte dafür, dass einen das Licht der gegenüber liegenden Stadtbahn-Haltestelle nicht im Schlaf störte. Lediglich der Fernseher funktionierte nicht. Außer dem Hotelchef kannte sich jedoch keiner der Angestellten technisch mit der Programm-Einstellung aus und ersterer komme leider immer erst um 11:00 Uhr vormittags zur Check out-Zeit im Hotel an, wie mir von der Rezeption mitgeteilt wurde.Der Duschkopf benötigt ein neues Sicherheits-Ventil, da ansonsten bei Gebrauch immer etwas Wasser seitlich austritt.
Ansonsten hat mir der geschäftliche Kurzaufenthalt von einer
Übernachtungt gut gefallen, vor allem wegen der originellen orientalischen Ausstattung der Duschkabine und des Waschbeckens und wegen des großen, bequemen Bettes mit nicht zu weichen Matratzen. Nur auf das super leckere Frühstück mit persischen Spezialitäten, das ich bei früheren Aufenthalten meist hinzu gebucht hatte, habe ich wegen des hohen Preises von 15.- Euro diesmal verzichtet.

Ich bin erschrocken!
Der Einfachheit halber hier in Listenform mein Erlebnis:
- internet: funktioniert nicht.
- Bett: Sauber bis auf Haarbüschel
- Stuhl nicht vorhanden
- Fenster links schließt nicht richtig. Kalt, Laut
-Bad: Duschschlauch gerissen.
-Tür der Dusche fällt ab
-Lüftung defekt, Schimmel übermalt
-Toilettensitz mit schmutzigem lappen dreckig gewischt
-Waschbecken: Zahnpastateste vom vorgänger?
Insgesamt ist es einfach dreckig, ungepflegt und kaputt.
Darauf angesprochen wurde mir sehr zögerlich ein anderes Zimmer angeboten.
Allerdings mit dem Hinweis, dass es nicht besser wäre.
Ich konnte das Frühstück stornieren, da man verstehen konnte, dass ich den gleichen Hygienestandard auch in der Küche vermutet habe. Das hat mich gefreut, aber auch etwas erstaunt. Denn meine Kritik hat dort wirklich niemanden erstaunt.

This is the most unclean and dirty hotel i ever have been too. i steped on an glas on the batroom floor and dust is hanging all over the walls lamp with electric cabels hanging out from the wall, only one thing was ok and that was clean sheets on the bed. that hotel needs total renovation.

We had a very bad experience because the room was very different from the photo on the website, it was a little dirty and had cockroaches and it was very dark and hot and the air conditioning didn’t work, no window to the outside, the bed was not at all like the photo of the bed on the website
