The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was functional.
The staff were courteous.
The area around outside had a lot of characters but they did not interact or harass people walking to or from the hotel, typical for around train stations.

I had booked this hotel because it was close to the train station and was reasonably priced. But the area felt very unsafe to me. The entrance itself was in a small alley, and you had to be buzzed in even though it was the middle of the day. There were groups of loud men outside the hotel and I did not feel safe leaving my room, let alone going out for supper in the evening.
The room was basic but clean.
The gentleman at the reception was very kind and helpful on check in. However, on check out, there was no one available due to \"staff shortage\".
The breakfast provided was minimal.
I only stayed one night even though I was booked for three, and the hotel did not refund me for the nights I did not stay, even though I should have been entitled to at least one night refunded.

Great price for what you get!

I booked a room with shared bathroom and was positively surprised about what I found. The room was very clean, quite nice for the price and overall everything I needed for a one night stay.
Bathroom and shower were down the hall, which was more or less convenient, but overall not too bad.

The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Check in and Check out was super easy, and I was able to store my suitcase and pick it up as I needed to - the reception desk always had staff present.

The hotel is a well run place conveniently located close to the main train station. This area has always been a bit sketchy. It’s not unsafe, just manage your expectations. Tram station is very close, so it’s easy and fast to reach downtown. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast.

While the hotel is at an extremely location, it is also just a couple blocks away from the red light district, and the walk from the station does not feel the safest at night. I would advise females (especially if you’re alone) who are staying there to look up their route from the station in advance. Otherwise the hotel staff were all super friendly, and the breakfast that was included had a good selection. The room is very simple but also very clean and good enough for a short stay. They do also only have very simple amenities (body/hair soap in small packets) so bring your own if you prefer better quality ones. There is a dm only a couple blocks away if you wish to buy some as well.

Neighborhood is so so at night, but hotel is Nice

As many others have said the street the hotel is on is a little bit sketchy at night but as long as you’re not out late at night or by yourself, if you are not male, you should have no issues. There are bars and other persons in the street, so it can be a little bit noisy, but it was not a bother to me.

The breakfast is served in the lobby area each morning and has a wide variety of meats, cheeses, yogurts, breads, juices and eggs.

If you were looking for someplace conveniently located near the train station, but not directly on the main drag, this is highly recommended. For those with American taste, understand this hotel does not have air-conditioning but does provide a fan in each room. The temperature of the room was not a problem for me.

Area outside is filled with junkies dealing in the streets. Nobody will approach you & police constantly patrol so it’s still relatively safe. Smells a little. Close to main station for easy walking.

No air conditioning and not in the best area

We only stayed here for a quick night as we had a short layover in Frankfurt but didn't realize upon booking that there is no air conditioning at this hotel. It was so difficult to sleep and get comfortable at all and the room fan didn't help at all as it was above 30 degrees when we visited. The room itself was small, but clean and we were happy with it and loved the Haribo gummy bear candies on our pillow with ear plugs but ear plugs weren't needed as it was pretty silent at night. The area however isn't the safest although it's convenient and right across from the train station. Just be careful and look all ways around you. Front desk was amazing and very nice, also helped pack our breakfast the day before as we had to leave before breakfast the next day - highly appreciated that!

Lovely hotel, shame about the area

The hotel was in an excellent location for the main train station, however as other reviewers have stated, the area doesn't feel very safe. We were OK during the day and as a couple, but I wouldn't want to go there on my own.
The hotel itself was lovely, all of the staff were helpful and friendly and it was very clean.
A kettle in the room to make tea would have been an added bonus.
Power supplies with USB and USBC next to both sides of the bed were very much appreciated.
Breakfast was good but not exceptional.

We sincerely regret our stay. Avoid at all costs!

I almost never leave a negative review, but this time it feels like other travelers deserve to know what I experienced at the Adler Hotel:
- Facilities: The rooms are basic and do not have any air conditioning.
- Location: While close to the train station, the hotel is on a sketchy block where there are drug addicts actively shooting up near the entrance. Several times in one night, I saw the locked gate left open and even once the fire escape that leads directly to all of our windows.
- Staff: The staff were largely disinterested, even when I raised a medical issue and asked for the address to a hospital. After asking four times, they finally offered it to me (and this was not a language issue). They also told me that there was no hotel in the city that had air conditioning and available rooms. It turns out that the hotel across the street (even visible from their reception window) clearly had both. The other hotel (called 25Hours) writes \"yes we have air condition in all rooms.\" I should not have trusted them.
- Checkout: When I asked for an invoice, they refused to provide one. I insisted that I needed one for the tourist tax and they told me that I had never paid it. In that case, I'm not sure who it was that pocketed the money.

After paying nearly $100, I left feeling taken advantage of. It genuinely would have been better to sleep at the airport. That said, decent breakfast, location, wifi. Still, I'm not sure why anyone would stay here in light of what we saw.

Nice room but very noisey due to construction across the street (not the hotels fault). Breakfast was very nice and the staff was nice. The wifi kept going in and out and that was frustrating. The location isn't too far from train station but in a shady area and i didn't feel comfortable. The room was very hot even though they provide a fan. I wanted to leave the windows open for cooler air but didn't because i was afraid one of the shady people around the area may climb in and because the area is loud at night. This hotel really needs to move to a different area closer to the train station and will receive higher reviews.

When arriving from Frankfurt Hbf, cross the street and turn left, cross over to the next block and once you pass the hotel Manhattan start looking for a passageway to your right, go through there and you will see the hotel Adler straightahead. The area around the hotel looks a little sketchy but since the desk closes at midnight this is probably not a big deal, but think twice if you need to leave early to catch a flight or train

Had a very plesant stay enjoyed the experiene and will be staying next months again .
The only negative point was some homless people very late at night ,with loud noise
across the hotel. Otherwise every thing was fine . Did not had breakfast but it look

Close to Frankfurt Hbf

Although the place is on Niddastraße, it wasn't so easy to find initially.
It's tucked away and there aren't enough signs. The hotel is near the red light district of Frankfurt, so I was a big weary of venturing outside but the gentleman at the reception showed me how to make the use of the local straßebahn! It's actually very close to Platz der Republik so only a few minutes ride to the Römer.
The building itself is quite old, but the room was surprisingly clean with decent space.
The breakfast wasn't the most exciting but the friendly staff made up for it!

Decent hotel for a short stay

For the reasonable price & location (near the HPF main station from airport), this is a good hotel to sleep over if u do not intend to stay in whole day. Compared to the other few hotels around the same vicinity (red light district), this one is located at a corner away from the noisy bars & people. The only noise is towards the morning where u hear some machinery noise.

The room is a little small but overall functional. No safe deposit box but has a simple breakfast provided.

We were at the Adler Hotel over the weekend for a business meeting. The receptionist was very helpful giving us recommendations on where to go to eat. The location is very close to the main train station but if you are walking a little hard to find. The room was nice and came with free WiFi. The breakfast was fine. The Adler is a short distance from the main railway station, which in turn has excellent connections not only to the airport, but pretty much everywhere else in Germany and beyond. Modern hotel, clean and comfortable, we stayed on the top floor, which was warm after some hot days, but there was a fan and a door to the rear balcony, so ample fresh air in the room. Good overall, and would use again.

A great little hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I was happy with my room, clean and comfortable although don't expect too many luxury features. The surrounding area is next to the red light district so not ideal if you are visiting as a family. I would stay again but be mindful of booking ahead. If you are visiting Frankfurt when an exhibition is on the prices increase for all hotels dramatically.

Great location, great value

The hotel is less than five minutes walk from the main station. The room was small but spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet provide a good range of choices. I can only think of a couple of minor negatives. The first is that the free wireless didn't have enough outgoing bandwidth to support a video conference (at least when I needed it). The downstream bandwidth was fine. The second minor negative is the location - as well as being very close to the station, it's also on the edge of the red-light district. However, it's very easy to walk around this to get to the most common tourist destinations, and the hotel staff are happy to diagram on maps how best to do this. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised, particularly given how cheap the room was.

Respite in a City

I was delighted with this hotel. It is a short walk to the main railway station, and handy to facilities of a large city. The staff were friendly and helpful, one of them even repairing my suitcase for me just as I was about to leave for the airport! The breakfast is as varied and hearty as a German breakfast can be. The reception area is welcoming, with easy chairs, newspapers, internet, self-serve tea and coffee available all day long. The price is very reasonable.

Great Value For Money

I needed a Budget hotel near to the train station to accomodate my daughter and I for two nights before she moved into student accomodation. This hotel met our criteria in terms of price & location. The rooms are fine although the carpets were a bit dirty but it looked like they were in the process of replacing them ,the Bathroom and toewls were spotless and the shower was excellent (No bath), lifts worked fine and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was your standard continental offering , Bread, Cheese , Cold meat, fruit etc but was well presented and fresh agin anything you requested the staff would try & help. The area around the Frankfurt station is not the nicest with lots of \"wineo's\" around but we never felt threatend by any of that , and the Hotel is far enough away from that to make sure it does not cause a problem
Overall if you are looking for a luxury stay in Frankfurt the Adler is not for you, but if you are looking for a short stay which is comfortable, helpful staff, good breakfast at a reasonable price then go for it, I will use thgis place again when I visit in November
