I enjoy the 25hours Hotel properties and this was my first time at The Trip near Frankfurt am Main Hbf. It’s a quick walk from the train station that I found to be okay. There were concerns about the neighborhood in some reviews but I think it was fine. The hotel is decorated well and it has a cool rooftop sauna and patio area with views of “Mainhattan” the city of Frankfurt skyline. Being located near the central train station you have easy connections to the airport, national and international rail services. The staff is friendly and I thought it was a good price.

Cool hotel

The hotel has a very cool vibe, and is incredibly well decorated. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the restaurant delicious. The plug in our bathtub wouldn't work, and maintenance tried to fix it, but couldn't. That was frustrating. The room was also very dark. But, with that said, I would definitely return if I ever need a hotel near the Frankfurt train station.

The hotel itself is pretty cool and the staff were pleasant but the area around it is awful and I did not feel safe at all to go find my dinner the night I arrived. While I understand many restaurants are not open on Sundays, they should consider their guests safety and offer dinner to avoid going out in the area at night. I also didn't like having to put an additional deposit down when I arrived (which was a surprise cost).

I have come to love 25hrs hotels but the area around this one is pretty bad. Lots of homeless, it would appear drug or alcohol abuse (just from the comportment of the people around). The hotel itself is excellent! As a female traveling alone I wouldn't feel safe out at night alone in this area though.

The only negative is that the surrounding can be dodgy at night since it is close to the main train station.

Good Hotel But Beware of Redlight District

I love the 25hours chain and have stayed in them now in a few countries so I was super excited to book this. Unfortunately, this hotel specifically is right around the corner from the red light district in Frankfurt. There is 24/7 open air drug use and general rowdy behavior outside the hotel. It’s a bit sketchy walking in the few blocks around the hotel. Additionally, there is a bar that plays music until 5am so if you’re facing the Main Street it will be very difficult to sleep on lower floors. I think honestly this was worse than the drug use out front. If you arrive at night I would suggest taking an Uber and avoiding the train + walking entirely. All that aside, the hotel itself is everything you’d expect from 25hours. Super trendy rooms. Complimentary snacks and beverages. Nice size room. This room had a bike in the room to use to navigate FRA even! Restaurant and bar on site are both nice. Parking is available also but note you car can’t exceed 1.9M in height or 2T in weight.. so small SUV / sedans only.

This is a very nice hotel, especially given the rate I paid. It is within easy walk of the train station, public transport and about 20 minutes walk to the centre. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room is spacious with a good bathroom. My shower head was in need of an upgrade. It feels safe and friendly. The area around is quite seedy and lives up to the reputation of this railway station area in Frankfurt. However, the hotel is an oasis.

We had to leave a day early because of an airport staff strike. We didn't expect compensation from the hotel but did expect to be asked to pay only 2 x ciry tax, not 3 because we left early. Allegedly the hotel computer system prevented it.
Secondly it is more of a restaurant with a hotel attached than the other way around.
Hotel guests are turned away by the \"in-house\" restaurant as it is so popular with Frankfurt residents.
Thirdly the area around the Hauptbahnhof is a no-go area unless you are happy to witness vomit, urine, crack pipes being smoked openly, refugees screaming with PTSD. If you are used to the streets of Paris and London and feel compassionate to those in distress, do not stay in the Bahnhofsviertel

The hotel is close to the train station, which is great, the area is not the best, as there are some dodgy folks hanging around, I would not let this put you off the hotel, as it is fantastic, its just a note. The staff are friendly, the room was large and clean with a great shower and super fast internet. Breakfast was wonderfull, the staff could not do enough to help. I WOULD STAY AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN
Also it is close to the tram line.

Not bad hotel, awful location.

The hotel was fine. Initially we were put in a room without working air con (during a heat wave) the floors air con was being worked on but no guarantee it would be fixed during our stay. Thankfully we were moved without much fuss.
The area that the hotel was in however, people openly drug dealing, sex workers and homeless everywhere. Probably the least safe hotel I’ve ever stopped in to be honest. Once we were in the hotel we didn’t leave until check out. Understand the hotel can’t do anything about this but maybe not pick this location for a hotel in the first place?

25hours Hotel The Trip is a really neat property. Very youthful and trendy vibe. I thought the room was beautiful. The neighbourhood, however, left something to be desired. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the train station, however the streets immediately surrounding the hotel were very littered and there was a lot of drug use. The hotel itself did not feel unsafe, we were just uneasy nearby.

The hotel itself was excellent! Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help with any queries. The hotel was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a long while. The room was very spacious with plenty of storage although the waterfall shower did not have the best water pressure, ended up using the hand held part of the shower which has excellent pressure.
The only thing that lets the hotel down is the area it's in but that's no fault of 25hours Hotel. Did not feel safe walking the streets even in broad daylight.

Hotel, staff, facilities are perfect and great. Just stepping outside this property is awful. Junkies and dealers all over the place. I left at 3pm on a Friday and had to walk past a handful of junkies in the middle of shooting up. I wouldn’t stay again only because of the surroundings directly outside the hotel. Such a shame as I loved everything else

We were in 8 hotels in Germany over 10 days and this was the most comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable and there were many friendly touches like a freevsnack bar! The shower was excellent and the towels huge. It was also very quiet.

The hotel is amazing and very convenient to the train station. The staff went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. They had a dog bed and bowls for the dog, and the room was well appointed with good shower gel, etc. The neighborhood is rough but just blocks away from the old town and the river. The restaurant in the hotel is well reviewed and looked quite Vinet on a Saturday night (complete with outdoor seating if the weather is good). Would recommend.

Oasis near the train station

I can't say enough nice things about the 25h The Trip hotel in Frankfurt. I'd just come from a week in a slightly run-down hotel in Cologne amid hot and humid weather. Arriving at the 25h after that and the adventure of plowing through the crowds at the train station was like stepping into another universe: a calming air-conditioned oasis with cool art and friendly people.

I was so happy with the room that I didn't budge that first evening, opting for snacks and the cozy bed in favor of exploring the city. The next morning, I enjoyed a light breakfast in the hotel and then prepared to hit the streets for a few hours before heading to the airport - now, those streets are a little bit sketchy, even for this city-living city lover. But that's only for a few blocks. In retrospect I'd be a bit cautious about this neighborhood in the dark though. Wouldn't you know it, it was starting to rain as I got ready to go - but of course, they had umbrellas at the desk. I felt well taken care of. \"Well taken care of\" really sums up my whole experience at the 25h. I wasn't there for long, but will unquestionably look forward to staying here the next time I'm in Frankfurt.

Beware~Think twice before you stay~read reviews!

Where to start…upon arrival I was already somewhat rattled!!! Although the walk from the train station was short it felt unsafe. Check in was easy and the ambiance of the lobby was rather eclectic and fun. Once we arrived to the room, I was beginning to settle until we realized the AC was not working. After speaking with the man at the front desk we were told the AC had been disconnected bc the heater had been turned on for winter. Funny thing is that we traveled with our friends and their room was like a freezer. Once we shared this info the gentleman did go out of his way to find us another room with working AC, but sadly this room was not much cooler (not the kind that promotes good sleep). Additional things to note: the trash was not emptied, the pillows were flat, the linens were scratchy, my friends were given keys to an occupied room, the window facing the front street of the hotel provided much noise all through the night into the morning hours~along with a view of a female urinating in the street at 8:30 am. We did manage to get a few interrupted hours of light rest and was never happier for morning to come. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world but never in an area that made me feel this uncomfortable. In the few hours we ventured out we saw drug dealing, drug usage, prostitution and a lot of homeless folks. Nonetheless, far more stress than one needs while on vacation!!!

Upon arrival it was very busy at check-in and when we arrived at the room and entered there was already another guest there who was with his female companion. We both had the same room assigned. I went back to the front desk and told them but he was non bothered at all. He just said oh yes sorry and gave me another key. He did not seem bothered at all. Didn’t ask if the other guest was okay nothing. As if this happens all the time. He should have offered a significant apology. In a hotel feeling unsafe is the worst and to not respond is highly unprofessional.
The area around the hotel is frightening. Yes, I understand this is downtown, however, I have been downtown all over the world and never experienced this type of drug alley. One block or less from the hotel to walk anywhere we witnessed drug dealing, drug consumption, public urination, prostitution, heavy homeless pimps asking if we were interested, miles of trash, and men arguing. The whole environment was threatening. As an American traveler I would not recommend this location.

The design and concept of this hotel is fabulous. Front desk people tried to be very helpful. When we arrived, the suite we were supposed to have for our stay had been trashed the night before, so we were given a complimentary upgrade to the top suite. However, the AC broke in our room during a heat wave and we were in a loft on the top floor. Our only option was to sleep with the windows open for two nights which was still extremely hot and due to excessive street noise, completely sleepless nights. It's worth noting that this hotel location is in the thick of a very serious drug zone. There are dealers and junkies lining the street as soon as you exit the block.

The Hotel was great, a bit different which makes it unique and fun. The area is in much need of investment and perhaps the hotel should work harder to make the best approach clearer, easier and safer. If you approach from the station just 1 street in from the main road, you will feel as though you are going to regret your booking.

It’s a very stylish place to stay. A wonderful breakfasts. A cosy lobby. Everything about this hotel is wonderful. It’s a very convenient location for tourists and business travellers too. However, around the building there’s a nasty spot with homeless people, drug addicts and drug dealers. It’s not pleasant to pass this spot by. The Police and local administration seem to completely ignore this issue.

Overall the hotel was cool! They offer lots of little extras for travellers to explore the city! However, some employees were a little unfriendly and didn’t know their own service. They offered a take away breakfast... I Ordered it for 6.30am as I had to be on my way early; the employee seemed very unsure but said she will figure it out for us... come 6.30 the next morning they tell us no it’s not possible, breakfast opens at 7 and we can’t provide a take away. Then upon check-out they tried to charge us for it...?

25h properties are always top, but this one is looking a bit a tired!
Just general chipped paint and scratches and looking a bit work out.

The staff were (as in all 25h) superb and charming.

The Japanese themed bar is lovely - although getting soaked to go there or get to the restaurant isn't great in winter.

Overall, its still a haven in the hole that is Frankfurt, but I preferred it when it was 25h@Levis.

This hotel was quirky and lovely. We had a great stay there with lots of nice touches such as a free bag to use. Brollies and bikes available too. Staff friendly and helpful. Our only qualms were the heating was a bit excessive and although there was a thermostat in the room it is centrally controlled so we couldn’t turn it down and were advised to just open a window. It was set to 28C! Also the hotel is next to the red light district and drug taking areas which we hadn’t realised. We didn’t have any problems but were surprised to see people actively injecting just down the road. Shame about the area but the hotel itself is lovely.

It was a frantic booking for us as nearly all the hotels were sold out for the Exhibition. After staying here we are always going to stay here only whenever we are going to be in Frankfurt. The Hotel makes you relax and forget all your hard tiring day. The bar seems to be one of the best there and is very famous.

This is a very cool an eclectic place. I loved it but it might not be for everyone. Rooms are plenty big, nice shower, bed & TV. Restaurant downstairs is great and front bar and seating area is a great place to relax witha cappuccino or beer in the afternoon. The sauna on the roof is great but it’s super hot, about 175 F. The only drawback is there is no real gym on the premises, just a jungle gym/monkey bars on the roof. The area isn’t great but I had no problems. It’s close to the steetcar and the main train station. From the airport it’s super easy to catch the train for $5 euro to the main station.

Awesome staff, very accommodating and pleasant. The restaurant & bar next to it is nice.

On my side of the building, had no problem with noise coming from the bar.

The neighbors you’ll encounter on the street are shady, that’s true, but no one bothered me, had no trouble at all.

Was a wonderful experience, will repeat again and if in any other city where the brand is present, i’ll give them a try.

Terrible service

Not only was the IT system down, creating a 30 minutes wait to check in, but I have now been charged for my stay, without seeing any invoice, but I might only receive it if I am lucky at the end of this week. Not even an apology, and it seems perfectly normal for this hotel to charge without invoice - I am now out of pocket for nearly a week, and will have to wait another week to get it processed for my expenses.

The hotel itself is great! Nice to have a bar and restaurant right downstairs. The surrounding area however isn't the best. I'm a \"well traveled New Yorker\" which I guess means I've been around the world and also can tolerate more than many. I saw a drug deal the first night coming up the stairs of the subway (honestly, fine whatever). Saw people smoking crack the next day (I mean, you do you) on the sidewalk half a block down. I just made sure I was more aware of my surroundings at night. Nothing ever happened but it is not the place for someone who isn't used to a bit of a grungy city vibe.

Again though, the hotel itself is awesome. Being near the train is awesome. Its getting to the train and back that gets a little shifty

Decor was lovely and unique, many features were lovely like the igloo sauna on the roof, you can hire a free mini cooper, bike hire, you can take the speaker or bag from your room to borrow. Room is spacious and clean beds comfortable, pillows a bit too soft and go quite flat. I liked that toiletries were in big bottle more environment friendly. Overall lovely experience other than the neibhourhood around is a bit dodgy but hotel staff wilp reccomend places to walk etc. If needed

This is the BEST hotel I’ve stayed anywhere. I loved positively everything about it, the staff, the rooms, the ambiance and decor, all of it. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel right at home. They aren’t you’re typical bland hotel rooms, they have so much character and it really sets the mood for the trip. I wish I could stay longer!

Very nice stop over

We only stayed overnight and wish we had more time to explore this hotel. Very unique and the staff was very helpful. Location is close to the train station and convenient for walking to shopping areas. Caution about the alleys surrounding the area best to use the main sidewalks.

Frankfurt city break

The hotel is nice and comfortable, very clean, and secure, but the area around the rail station is subject to building/ refurbishment and there were a lot of vagrants (migrants) roaming the area at night. We found it impossible to get a reservation at the restaurant beside the hotel (staff were not interested in hotel guests, restaurant is very busy so we felt staff did not need our business, which was most disappointing as we booked the hotel *because* of the adjacent eatery). However, we found a marvelous top-notch restaurant, called the Stanley Diamond, about 6 mins walk away, and that was very good.

Frankfurt's old city is, however delightful, recommend taking a barge trip up the river for a great view of the city, also get to a market called the Kleinmarkthalle, nice foodies, and for a special cocktail, try the lounge at the 5* Steinberger hotel.
Overall, pick a hotel away from the Bahnhof... we will choose better location next time, but Frankfurt is a lovely city break destination, great shopping and food.
