Because it was an unmanned system, I had a hard time checking in, and the worst part was the phone connection failure. My flight was in the afternoon, so I wanted to check my bag and go, but the staff member said they were leaving at 2 p.m. and I had to pick it up before then, which was inconvenient.

Mit viel Zeit bei der Anreise, ganz okay

Absolut schlechte Beschilderung das Hotel zu finden und noch viel schlechter das auffinden der Parkplätze beziehungsweise Tiefgarage zudem ist keine Rezeption vor Ort und die Notfall Telefonnummer blieb leider auch ohne Funktion. Also es bedarf definitiv Vorbereitung bei Anreise, sehr wichtig.
Das Hotel befindet sich direkt zwischen zwei lokalen an einer unscheinbaren Tür Parkplätze zum ein und ausladen gibt es definitiv nicht vor der Tür und die Tiefgarage liegt auf der rückseitigen Querstraße des Hotels und lässt sich nur durch Personal über die Notfall Telefonnummer öffnen.

Was zusätzlich erwähnt werden sollte, ist das die Einfahrt sehr oft zugeparkt wurde, was man aus dem Hotel Fenster gut beobachten konnte. Wenn man etwas positives hervorheben möchte, wäre es das Ambiente im Hotel, welches sehr schön designt wurde doch auch hier leider nur zu 90 % erfüllt an Tapeten wurden nicht gestrichen und zeigen ganz klar die Spuren der Zeit.

Having stayed at numerous hotels in Frankfurt the location of this hotel to the central railway station or the Messe event center is only a matter of minutes walking. Right outside the hotel are numerous steakhouses and eateries of various cuisines.
The rooms are clean and importantly quiet so if you need to work there is not street noise to disturb a good nights sleep when getting ready for a full day at work.
This is not overpriced for the facilities it offers.

I would stay again.

Habitaciones a la calle muy ruidosas

Si tienes la mala suerte de que te asignen una habitacion que da a cualquiera de las dos calles, sera dificil descansar, y si es a la parte trasera (Münchnerstr.) sera la peor opcion. A partir de las 05:00 empieza a circular el tranvia y se oye, mucho. Si encima el extractor del baño se conecta cuando le viene en gana (con la luz apagada) a las dos de la madruga, a 4 y así hasta levantarte, tampoco descansaras mucho y ya para rematar, el desayuno no es que sea caro, que no lo es, pero es escaso y tienes que pedir que lo \"rellenen\" zumo, pan, etc. El pan es tema aparte, duro, descongelado (será porque alrededor no hay panaderías).
Ya para rematar, no hubo televisión por rotura, pero nadie aviso al realizar el check-in.
Así no quedan muchas ganas de volver.
Comentado con recepción, todos los inconvenientes, la respuestas aun fueron menos convincentes:
El extractor, hay que limpiarlos, se enganchan.
La Televisión, hay una avería desde ayer, están arreglandolo (Avisen al Check-In).
Del desayuno, no me queje.

Lamentablemente ya no es lo que fue en su dia.
Ahora es de ultimo recurso.
Hay mejores opciones alrededor.

The day I was scheduled to stay at this hotel I drove around in a circle for over an hour trying to avoid people there for protests/strikes. I could not find or access the parking that was advertised or even contacted about 6-8 hours later. I tried to make contact by phone 5 times in the hour I was looking Goethe hotel and parking and all I got was an AI answering service. I tried calling about cancellation and the AI answering service sent me in a loop never transferring me to a live person so I could cancel or even get a refund which was not even offered for the inconveniences I dealt with. I wished a person would have reached out more about my negative experiences.

Was a little concerned when finally finding the entrance to this hotel However, once upstairs and to reception, felt a little better.

Minimalist room, small but clean. Kettle and usual teas available. No fridge. Also no air conditioning which was an oversight on my part.

Due to the side of the hotel my room was on, it meant I was also unavailable to open my windows without a vast amount of noise and one evening the smell of smoke from those standing below my window.

Essentially nothing major wrong. Not luxury for sure but reasonable if you just need somewhere to sleep not spend lots of time.

Hotel was clean today and spacious but area around was quite rough (just outside of Hbf so no surprises). Electronic check in on the street felt unsafe as all details could be seen by anybody passing. Would stay here again due to proximity to opera house and hotel itself was great.

Hot in Frankfurt

One of the best things about this hotel is that it is about a 5 min walk from the main railway station in Frankfurt. Such a good location surrounded by restaurants, a supermarket and other types of shops. At night the area is very colourful and not for the faint-hearted, however, this is no different from most modern western cities. I also happened to arrive in Europe when they are experiencing a major heat wave, so it was extremely hot in Frankfurt.

I liked the convenience of the hotel and the fact it was basic and reasonably priced. Perhaps I got a bad room but there was strong odour ( unidentifiable) which explains why the window was left open. It was the last room so I had to stay in it.

The woman who checked me in was very nice. However she does not know the rules about parking. I found a parking spot on the street which surprised me. I asked f it was OK to leave the car there as the parking garage was full. She assured me with complete confidence it was fine until 9 AM. At 8 AM I discovered the car had been towed. I spent 3 hours getting it back and 400 euros in fines. Needless to sy that ruined my trip to Frankfurt.

The hotel offered parking. There was none available for any part of our three day stay. The continental breakfast had no water of any sort. Not bottled nor vase. The patio door next to the dining area stayed open throughout breakfast. The heating units in the room do d not work two of the three days. The neighborhood is quite active 24 hours a day.

On the plus side, it was in the heart of good restaurant eating options. The train station, with ample parking, was just a block and a half away.

Very terrible experience. I suggest everyone not to go to this hotel. The receptionist is really irresponsible and perfunctory. I was rushing to work on the internet but can't connect to the Wi-Fi in the hotel. I complained to the receptionist, but the receptionist was really lazy and didn't want to solve the issue, just call me wait, wait and wait. How can the Wi-Fi problem be solved by just waiting? I hinted her try to reboot the server or system or something, but she just did NOTHING. She kept saying \"I can't do anything\" like a clumsy robot. Later, other tenants complained that there was no internet, and the receptionist called IT. However, the problem still remained unresolved. The receptionist continued to repeat \"I can't do anything.\" The internet should be included in the room rate I paid, but the receptionist was with the attitude \"In any case, there is no internet, and I can't help you.\" I called the customer service, but got a response \"We can't handle it either, or you can go online to give a bad review,\" so I came to give a bad review now. In summary, it's a very terrible experience. I suggest everyone not to go to this hotel. 非常糟糕的經驗，建議大家不要來這間旅館，櫃臺非常不負責任且敷衍。我趕著要用網路工作，可是當初說會有網路的旅館卻連不上網，我向櫃臺抱怨，可是櫃臺根本懶得解決問題，只是叫我等一下再看看，Wi-Fi 連不上怎麼可能等一下自然就會好！！我提示她重啟個服務器之類的試試看，她也完全不做，跟機器人一樣一直重複說「I can't do anything 我無法做任何事」。後來有其他房客也抱怨沒有網路，櫃臺打給IT，可是問題還是沒解決，櫃台繼續跳針「I can't do anything 我無法做任何事」，明明當初是說付的房費裡包含網路，但櫃臺那個肥胖的中年婦女就一副，「反正現在就是沒網路，我也沒辦法阿不然你想怎樣」的態度。打電話客訴，客服說「我也沒辦法處理，不然你自己上網給差評」。

Advertised parking - only 8 spaces 1 of which had the receptionists unplated car. Impossible to find, entrance is nothing like the photo, unlit and totally uninviting, just a door inbetween 2 shops. Entrance corridor full of empty boxes. Lift to reception out of order. Receptionist rude and condescending when we asked for a restaurant recommendation. Bedroom stark and uninviting. No net curtain on the very large window so the flats directly opposite can look straight into the room. Bed sheet to small for the bed and didn't tuck under the mattress. Receptionist for check out was on her mobile phone the entire time, never once put it down or interrupted her conversation. I know this was a budget hotel but it is a very poor budget hotel

No aircon or fan in room.

There is no air conditioner or fan in room, it was 27 degrees in 17-19 April.
If you open the window it's very busy road and tram goes next to you. I could not sleep and reception is limited timings only so could not help much.

Must avoid this in summers. Also booking are non refundable and check out could cost you money.

Location is central only 5 min walk from Frankfurt am station.

Hard to find and dirty area.

In the hotel’s defense, I reserved this hotel for $55 and checked in at 2200. But that doesn’t protect them from being very hard to find, no parking, no Wi-Fi as advertised, loud, or lack of staff assistance.
I arrived at 2230 on a Sunday night. It would have been earlier but I had to drive around in circles to find the hotel and parking. I never saw the hotel even though I passed it about five times according to my vehicle GPS and Apple maps. I was getting frustrated because I didn’t want to walk around all night with girls hanging out on the corner (read between the lines there) and groups of 3-5 men also hanging around (once again, read between the lines). Now I’m a 6’3” tall and 220lbs retired Special Forces man, so there’s not much that scares me. But this was a situation/environment that reeked of trouble that I’d rather avoid unless absolutely necessary. If I had my kids or girlfriend with me I would have cancelled without hesitation.
There was no one to greet me, just a check in “ATM” looking machine. It did have multiple languages so that was helpful. I got my key and proceeded to my room. The hotel is on the 1st & 2nd floors. Modern furniture and clean. No receptionist after hours which would have been helpful to get rid of the immigrant hanging around either drunk or on drugs. Wi-Fi didn’t work as indicated and with no one around it’s hard to get help on the phone.
Just an overall unpleasant experience for me. The ratings are very misleading in my opinion.

A great budget hotel

I happened to have to stay near the central station, and did not expect anything. I just chose one of the cheapest single rooms available. Registration was a bit tricky because I got there quite late and had to enter all information on the computer screen standing on the street to get procedures done and have a card to enter the building.

But then the room turned out to be large, clean, and quite enough.

I cannot comment on breakfast and staff, as I left the hotel early in the morning.

I recommend this hotel to those who weigh the functionality and price over the environments, ambience, and etc.

First very difficult to find this hotel. Receptionist doesn't care who you are. The external looking let you thing about the cleanest. Room is cold and nothing, just bed. Very expensive for this kind of hotel. Should be for 25 € by night for students or people with low budget.

Great location, a little noisy sometimes.

The staff were very helpful, and it was super nice to have parking. The area of town the hotel was in was perfect with bars, and restaurants lining the street. However, it was a little noisy at night, with the windows closed I could still hear noisy people on the street all hours of the morning. But the room was great and had a great view over the street. I would definitely suggest this place to others.

The location of the MK Hotel is good, close to the main train station on a main shopping street.
The hotel staff only works during day time. My key did not work when I got back around 9.30pm, the emergency phone number posted was not answered. It took me a while to figure out how to use an electronic box on the door to print a second key.

You walk a dark hallway and take an elevator to a second floor to get to the lobby. I climbed over left alone vacuum cleaners and a broken air condition in the hallway to get to my room.
The first impression of the room is bright, pleasant. You have a big screen TV, good lightening and plugs for your computer.

Unfortunately, they provided one 1/3 size pillow for my double bed and half a blanket. The matress was hard and very uncomfortable. I was freezing all night and very uncomfortable. I asked for a second pillow with no success and finally used my airline pillow I brought with me.
They provided one small towel for the bathroom, no conditioner or shampoo was provided.

If this was advertised as a 1 or even 2 star hotel I would let it go, but to charge EURO 212.00 without breakfast was unreasonable and borders on extortion.

I stayed at Hyatt Hotels for the majority of my trip to Germany and paid way less for a 5 star 24 hour and pleasant hotel experience, breakfast included.

I would not book MK hotel again, nor would I recommend it.

NO HOT WATER!!!

We stayed there for 2 nights in early March, But no hot water!!!! So we had to take cold shower for two nights when it was only 5 degrees outside. We have informed the receptionist twice, but no solution. Very disappointed.

No sheets were provided, just a mattress cover and and a comforter with one small pillow. The mattress cover was stained. The carpet was some sort of industrial floor covering that was dirty. The room was next to the street car which was very loud. Have to call attendant through front door intercom to check in.

Stayed one night on route to Skopje with an overnight in Frankfurt. Room was fine but I could not access the WiFi. The orientation of the bed was peculiar and the pillow was directly underneath the window which meant that the light streamed into the room in the morning.There was no fridge in the room.

Simple but practical and affordable.

It was a quick in and out. Arrived after 10pm Sunday night; went out on the town; then left 9am Monday morning.

Since I arrived after hours, I had to self-check-in using the automated machine at the front door - similar to an ATM. A friendly person answered the help button which I used twice - once because I didn't know I had to use this to get in and again because I didn't want to pay by credit card. It took a few minutes to arrange but was no problem.

For the price, it was good, but the room was exceptionally basic and the first corridor leading to the elevator was not very presentable.

I didn't partake in breakfast and couldn't use the wi-fi because the info folder on the desk said to contact reception for the code, but there was no phone in the room, no one at the reception desk, and I didn't want to have to go outside to press the help button again at the check-in terminal.

more like a hostel feel to this hotel

have the street number on hand because hotel is hard to find as the lobby is not on ground floor.find the door, then the buzzer, go down the hall to a lift, go up a floor to reception. from there go down a hall to another lift which takes you to the upper floors which have a few rooms each. halls are lit by motion detector lights which make a dark passageways a bit creepy.rooms decorated in grey like a hospital or submarine. noisy at first but trams in street below stop running at night. Wi-Fi hard to connect. owner at reception got angry when I asked about this. fortunately I have no trouble yelling back but later thought it strange to be fighting over Wi-Fi. next time i'll pay a bit extra to stay in a regular hotel.pass on this one.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, the room was lovely, very spacious. Everything was very clean and the bed was really comfy. The room was very quiet, despite there being a festival/street party happening outside. The location is great, very close to train station and a very easy walk to shopping area / main tower etc. Several bars / eateries on the street and at the station. All in all, a great stay - would definitely recommend!

Great hotel - If you know what to expect

We got a great last minute deal on a single night stay on a Saturday night. During the week the cost is much higher and my rating would drop because of this. The hotel is very simple. In fact, you check in using an ATM like machine at the entrance. There is a reception once inside the building, provided you visit during the \"working hours\". But if you have trouble at the kiosk before entering, human help is available with the push of a button.

Keep in mind we stayed here in order to me inside where all the action is. At with that premise known, it does get noisy, loud, and bright at times. The room had an absolutely huge window, nearly wall to wall. It open at two spots which was really nice. And there are no safety locks/mechanisms so I suggest that you do not dangle valuables or small children out the opening. The large bed was actually a typical two-twins-which-are-really-close type, which is typical in the affection-less Fatherland. But after a night of ethanol infused beverages you might not actually care...Or notice.

The only real compliant I have is that I was charged here on Hotels.com, and when I checked in the kiosk at the entrance appeared to charge me again. So scrutinize your credit card bill. I have to wait to check mine.

If I ever look for a room in Frankfurt, I'll try for this place again. Provided I get a great price again.

Utilitarian, Clean, High Street Noise - I'll Go Elsewhere

I am an American, so my views are going to be different from others. I stayed 2 nights en route to a final destination, so I wasn't looking for a long term 5-Star hotel. I have no problems with the MK location (even though I saw 3 people in the early afternoon sitting on the sidewalk injecting drugs just half a block away - this is to be expected in the Frankfurt Hbf quarter), and the hotel would have been OK except that my room overlooked a very busy street. There is no air conditioning so my windows had to always be open. The noise level from traffic and people gathering on the street was always high, even into 3am; after 16 hours on an airplane a good rest and sleep was impossible. The few english TV channels, such as CNN, did not work. Good WiFi. Clean.

Comfortable stay in a convenient location

I had an overnight layover in Frankfurt, and decided to get a hotel room instead of hanging out at the airport for 12 hours. The mkHotel Frankfurt was perfect. Close to the train station and on a main street. Easy check-in, comfortable room, great breakfast. The reception is on the 2nd floor. The first floor entry way is a bit musty with a smoke smell, but the rest of the hotel is fine. The street where the hotel is located is fine, and there is a Rewe supermarket a few blocks away. However, the rest of the area is a bit of a shady red light district, so I wouldn't walk around alone at night. But, in the morning, the street is bustling with a farmers market and food stands, which made it very charming. The room was huge and very comfortable. I was in the back, so no great view but it was very quiet.

Close to center and old Frankfurt town

The hotel a little complicated to find, just a single door.

Complicated to get to rooms oneas are in the back an others in the front looking the street, strees that is very bussy 24 hour a day.

The hotel has no air conditioning so open window is the only option to get fresh air, but is aproblem with the noise. they havo no laundry or laundry service so if they take your clothes tehy will take more than 3 days to be back to you.

Close to center and old Frankfurt town and sorrounded by very good restaurants.

Very nice room.
Initial entrance into a hallway was a little odd but the nice room more than made up for it. Breakfast was decent. Bottom line is the room was nice and it was larger than most rooms in this price range.

5 Minutes walk from Frankfurt Central Station.
Clean and tidy room with a reasonable space.
Without air-condition. My room is near to the tram track and on the 1st floor, it's a bit noise when the tram is operating.

nice hotel near train station with great staff

First at all, I must say \"thank you\" to the man at the reception (I forgot his name). When we arrive Frankfurt, the airline LAN lost my suitcase. This man make all the contacts with the airline to found my suitcase THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is great, the location is nice, and the room is confortable.
The only one thing is the smell a cigarretes at the entrance of the building, but not inside the hotel.
I recomend this hotel

overall just what we needed for a short break

overall stay was great . very nice rooms .. and actually alot better then some other higher priced hotels where we stayed before . dont be put of by the entrance as the hotel itself is nice .

we recommend the hotel to maybe improve the sign on the street and a little make over of the main entrance .. other than that it was a really nice stay .

Ok hotel close to main train station

Nice hotel and very convenient as it is close to the main train station. Room is clean and reasonably size for a double room with breakfast and free wifi (though it was working only 1 nite out of the 3 nites during the stay). No complimentary bottle water provided. When asked for water during breakfast, was told the room has a bottle. Room allocated is located just next to the tram line and it is noisy. Moreover, seems that the windows/walls are rather thin, can practically hear the conversations (some shoutings too at nite). Not good for light sleeper, even for deep sleeper i find it is rather disturbing too, was woke up by the talkings/shoutings couple of times at nite. Sleeping on the pillows are as good as no pillow (totally flat).

Location was very good - close to central train station. Construction being done in hotel during our stay; some mess and elevator issues. Parking in garage was the tightest we had ever seen. Room was clean but small and the noise out in the street all night (traffic, people shouting, etc.) made it very difficult to sleep. Had to keep windows open due to warm weather. Overall it served our purpose for the night we were there.

No door!

The hotel is in a great location, a short walk from the main train station and not too far from the shops, historical precinct etc. As other reviewers have mentioned, the area is a bit unsavoury after dark. The hotel was clean, quiet and the service was good - however, be warned there is no door on the bathroom (at least in our room). This is fine if you are travelling alone, but may be a problem if sharing a room with friends/partners - not much privacy. A basic breakfast is provided.

Very Clean and Modern

Hotel is very close to the main train station, but not too close to hear the trains. The area is very busy throughout the day and night, but the noise is bearable. Stayed for an overnight prior to a trip to the airport, and the price was very reasonable for a hotel in great condition. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom modern, and the reception was very nice. Free internet and breakfast is not very common, and it was a value here. Would definitely stay again!

Good location but too noisy in the night

Location is execellent! It's just about 5 mins walk from the train station. It's very near to the famous street of nightlife in Frankfurt. Therefore, it's quite noisy in the night especially the room I was given. But shutting the windows do help.

OK hotel

The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the Frankfurt HBF. Lots of restaurants and parking spaces nearby. The room is clean but we had a room which is quite far away from the entrance. The staff is ok and he lent us a kettle. Good wifi connection. No air-con, so it would be a downside in summer. Fairly good.

Newly done interiors, clean, typical German breakfast included, room was good sized for a European hotel and it is steps away from the hauptbahnhof (train station) and a very short walk to Frankfurt's English Theatre and Oper Frankfurt, plus more.

Bit expensive but worth..

My short stay of one night was just ok. Pillow was so light that I couldn't feel that I was sleeping with comfortable pillow. The hotel was very clean and well maintained but quality of bed was not good. Location is perfect , move-in & out was very comfortable with the help of scan card.But I found this very expensive on 01/25 when price was 122euro for one night..!!!B'fast was just like grab & go type means that no bread and toaster etc..so for us its just cold b'fast at this price..

Great Location

Located just a block away from the Hauptbahnhof, reasonably priced and clean. The entrance is easy to miss.
