Hotel is dated, and not in the best neighborhood. But, it is convent, only a couple blocks from Frankfurt’s Hbf, and about a 10-minute walk to the Christmas Market!

The property was centrally located. The main train station, museums, historical sites were all within walking distance. There is a grocery store across the street. Good price for the room. Staff were nice and helpful.

Front desk guy was really nice and upgraded our room. Older hotel so some furniture is worn but the bed was tidy and comfortable. It is a value hotel and suited 2 adventurous gals in their early 70s. We walked it easily from the train station in a light rain.

Cheap and Convenient

No frill hotel near the Frankfurt Hbf. Great deal for a clean room and a good place to sleep. Down stairs is a bunch of amazing Turkish and Lebanese restaurants. My personal favorite is a Turkish seafood grill around the corner.

It’s a decent cheap hotel a 4 minute walk from the train station. However it’s quite dirty, and to top it off there was no working AC which no one made us aware when we checked in. Would definitely not have stayed had we known NO working AC. With that it wouldn’t have been terrible, nice staff.

Probably the worst hotel experience we ever had - the A/c was not working and it was 30 degrees outside. Rather than telling us and offering us to cancel/refund - we got back to the hotel late before we realized and then just suffered through it. (They were aware of this issue as we let them know the next morning and they said they knew). When we went to check in - there was no one at the front desk for 20 minutes. The bathrooms also smelled like sewage backing up which made the whole room smell. There was also no welcome drink as advertised

Beautiful hotel, great location. Unfortunately however, the pictures on the website are misleading & we never got a welcome drink as it clearly states when booking.

Additionally, there is no bar. Also, the climate control doesn't work, so every day it was very hot in the room.

This is very uncommon for a \"4 star hotel\"

Even 3 star hotels in Frankfurt have it better.

Atrium was ok, not bad, but for 4 stars, you expect, well, 4 star hotel.

Avoid if your budget allows

The hotel is very very tired. The bathroom window is broken and will not close. Only 1 light worked in the room, which was probably a good thing to not see the cleanliness or lack of.
The area is not very nice, but is only a 15 minute walk to nice areas. I wouldn't want to walk back alone at night.

To get the included breakfast, you have to go to their other hotel across the street and down the block—and they ran out of food….not cool. Rooms are decently quiet with the windows closed. Elevator works well. Staff helpful, but not always visible. Beds comfy. Ok place.

great location. The hotel is located in the heart of the city with convenient transport, restaurants and shops nearby. Polite and helpful staff, daily change of towels and bed linen.. spacious rooms. The only drawback is the dust that is omnipresent throughout the city and settles during the day also in the room, furniture'sor floor. . thick layer everywhere. I can recommend the hotel to people who want a short and undemanding stay. The faults I found in the room were fixed immediately thanks to the reception and technician staff.

Room was somewhat warm, but we cracked the windows open and it was ok. Carpet also aggravated my allergies, but that’s just me being a delicate flower. Everything else was nice and we really liked the corner room facing the street. Would stay again for the convenience of the location. Brewdog brewery is next door if u wanna have a drink.

The hotel was physically in a convenient location - 15 minute walk to the Messe Frankfurt hall, 15 minute walk to Old Town... however the quality of people hanging around the hotel at night, at times was unsettling (not the hotel's fault).

The room was clean(ish). Good sized room for Europe, had a queen bed which was a nice change. Bed was a bit hard, but not unmangeable. The pillows were flat and a bit musty smelling.

Overall an OK stay. Nothing stood out as terrible or over the top fantastic. It was all just OK

The hotel was decent but the immediate surrounding area seemed questionable. The air-conditioning did not seem to work - it was very hot in the rooms even though it was December. The breakfast is not at the Atrium but at its sister hotel a minute away. Overall we liked our stay as it was close to what we wanted to see in Frankfurt.

Location was great and we went for the Christmas markets, so the hotel was a perfect location for these, just a 5 minute walk

It could be much, much better.

The friendly and efficient reception staff is a definite plus. Large, nice room; perfectly working air conditioning. Well, now the cons. Bathroom - The sewer grate cannot keep up with collecting water from the shower. I found the toilet bowl dirty both on the outside and under the rims inside. The hotel should use medium mattresses at best - mine was quite hard. I haven't experienced such a terribly uncomfortable bed in a hotel for a long time. Plus one pillow, it's a bit lame. Another thing, such a stupid saving: the whole room, even after turning on all the lights, is simply dark. You can't read anything next to the bed, so I had to use a flashlight from my phone to look into my wallet. This is really a joke, because the savings from using such bulbs are virtually non-existent, and the trouble they cause to guests is enormous.
Netflix does not work, and the TV program list is more than half empty and consists mainly of scattered German TV stations, There are a few Russian ones (really!), one strange English one, one Uzbek one, one Ukrainian one. This is how we landed in the province of the world - in the center of the EU. We have a safe in the closet, but it has no instructions for use and is operated in a non-intuitive manner or is broken. And so on.
It's a pity, because the hotel's potential, easily exploitable, is great.

We choose to stay here for a layover in Frankfurt to being our 25 days Europe trip. It is very convenient and the price is good if you are just looking for a place to sleep. The family suite is indeed two connected rooms so we got two bath room and two queen beds, which is better than we expected.

Staff were friendly, room was clean enough however the mattress underneath the sheets was disgusting, I accidentally lifted up the flat sheet that was covering it and almost fell over. Fixtures were not dusted and some other areas were not super clean. The area is sketchy, it’s close to some of the cities attractions but there are lots of homeless and drug use nearby and broken glass all over the streets. Maybe this is just Frankfurt? No proper toiletries are provided. There is some 3 in one soap at the sink and in the shower so you will need to bring your own lotion shampoo and conditioner for sure. Closet is a decent size. There are lots of bars and acitivity on the street below which was loud at times. I wouldn’t stay here again solely for how rough the area was. If travelling as a single female stay somewhere else.

Be realistic with your expectations.
2 blocks from Hauptbahnhof.
1-2 blocks from all tourist shopping needs: inexpensive suitcases, pharmacy, hygiene needs, laundromat, food and drinks, ATM (attached to hotel!), groceries, and more!

I was nervous reading other reviews, but I am glad I chose the Atrium! The rooms were clean (yes, they could use some deep cleaning, but $). The rooms have all the basic needs: fresh bed with sheets and pillows, nice sized bathroom, and storage area.

Phanuel and Kaan at the reception were always friendly and helpful!

If you are used to the high-end named hotels of the States and the safety around them, this is not the hotel for you. This is Bahnhofviertel! Expect to see every type of person, and be sure of yourself.

Yes, Fridays and Saturdays may be louder...it is the weekend.

For those traveling on a budget....this was perfect!!!

Everything is great about this hotel. I will stay at Atrium again. Minor gripes: The aircon in the room doesn't work. The thermostat on the wall is for decoration only. The soap dispensers ran out of soap on my first day. But it didn't matter to me since I had my own soap.

This is a regular hotel with very nice staff and quite clean but European style smallish rooms. It should have a 4 star rating but it is in a bit of a dodgy area with many homeless and druggies nearby.
It also has many great ethnic restaurants and stores and other good features in the neighborhood and is only a 15 minute walk from some nicer downtown areas so overall it is a good value. If you are put off by funky neighborhoods I wouldn't recommend it.

The Atrium is most conveniently located 5-7 minutes walking distance from Frankfurt main train station. It shares the same street as many restaurants. There is a small fridge in the room. Very hot showers. Super friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

We felt it was alittle creepy.

We usually have a habit of putting the key card in the slot even if we went out. We will just bring the extra and leave one in.

We checked in pretty late and went for dinner once we settle our luggage. When we were back, our key card in the slot was gone. We went to ask the staff and he said he was the only one working and was puzzled. He was 5/5 and redo all our cards to new code. He was really friendly and nice I have to say.

Day 2, during the afternoon. We left both room key card in the a lot as we went out for lunch and walked around alittle. 3-4h later when we came back. Both our card was missing. Our room did had room service so I assume it was their staff force of habit removing it. But keeping them seems weird. So I went down and asked if they did keep it. This time round it was a female staff. She told me most likely it was room service. Then I told her what happen last night. And she seems alittle freaked out. Honestly we feel something wasn’t right during our stay there. Maybe it’s just some bad luck. Don’t want to think too much of it. But with all this happening. Their staff was 5/5.

Great location, very convenient to get to/from the train station and airport. The area is easily walkable and only about a 15 min walk to the Christmas Markets.
The room is sufficient, it has everything you need, is clean, and the beds are reasonably comfortable.
My only complaint would be that the lobby and elevator area smelled like urine after mopping, I'm not sure if it's from a dirty mop or if that's the odor of certain cleaning products mixing... hopefully they're able to remedy that soon enough.
The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful!

I like that it was very affordable especially since we only had an overnight layover in Frankfurt so we didn't really need anything fancy, just somewhere near the city center. The area was in the city center, but is relatively away from the dirty parts. Also appreciate the staff allowing us to check-in early once our room became available (I think about 3 hrs early) allowing us to start our sight-seeing earlier and saving us time from coming back to the hotel in the middle of the day just to check-in. The room is what you'd expect a hotel room to be. There's quite a view since we were on the 5th floor and everything in the room was functional. My only suggestion would be for the shower curtains to be replaced as they started changing color at the bottom edges already.

Overall a decent hotel. We stay there during the heat wave (Mid June 2022) where air conditioning was a blessing. Ideally situated with walking distance from the Romer and other attractions. Five minutes walk from the main train station (which is not the greatest neighborhood). A host of decent local and ethnic restaurants can be found in the same area. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The shower wasn’t draining proper which took a few complaints before it was properly fixed. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall a good experience and good value for the price

This is a very basic hotel unfortunately not in the best neighborhood. The room did have comfortable bed but shower was old and curtain not fully covering all the water coming down.... If you really want to save few bucks, this is the place.
The stuff was polite and courteous and that make our stay very pleasant.

The property is in a great location. Close to the train station and the Altstadt. The room was clean but we could smell smoke from cigarettes coming from the bathroom. Not sure how that happened but it wasn't great. So overall, it is an OK hotel but do not expect anything else.
