Hotel and service were amazing, no complaints. The location is good as it’s near the central train station. However, the area around the hotel is sketchy, definitely a red light district and homeless doing drugs on the street. If traveling with kids, I’d stay somewhere else.

Unfortunately, my husband forgot some clothes on the top shelf of the closet, and to our surprise, they were not found there. I can’t say that someone from the hotel staff took them, but it shows that the rooms are not cleaned well. This was at the beginning of our tour of Germany, and we had to buy the necessary things. We were upset.

The room is not cleaned even I hag the \"clean room tag\" in front of my door. When telling to the hotel front desk is rude and impolite and just tell I have to hang the tag in front of the door.
Ridiculously I told I had done correctly but they just not listen and believe.

The block the hotel was on was totally fine but if you wondered into town I google maps takes you through an area with people openly using hard drugs. I think if you were to know how to avoid this area before hand it would be fine it just caught us off guard

Easy check in, clean room. Beds were hard for my taste but comfy. It was quite warm at night considering its Nov/Dec in Germany so we opened the windows to sleep at night which let in mosquitos. (Who knew those damn things could survive in this weather!) My primary reason for giving this hotel 4 vs 5 stars is the neighborhood. It’s literally one block from the “red light” area full of brothels and junkies breaking glass and screaming at all hours. Lots of sirens, which were annoying considering the need for open windows. Overall fine but wouldn’t choose to stay there again.

The hotel was clean and in good condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are hit and the air conditioning even when turned down low was not great and had to open the windows. Trouble was noise and loads or sirens all night. Just round the corner was a drugs hostel and a red light district and taxi driver said he'd never go there at night. Some lovely areas with the Christmas Market, but saw people passed out through drugs and using crack pipes. Shame as ever area has issues but Frankfurt was bad and right near the train station was really bad.

The area directly south of the hotel and towards the main train station is the very seedy red-light district of Frankfurt (with some excellent restaurants, too), but if you stick to Mainzer Landstrasse or north of that, it is fine. The plaza directly in front of the hotel is fine too.

The airconditioning in our room didn't work and the only option given to us was to open the widow wider. We were in a room on the 1st floor above the entrace door with guests coming and going at all hours, banging car doors, smoke smells coming in - it was a nightmare stay without any offer of compensation and no offer of a replacement room on the night. The hotel itself was as expected for a Holiday Inn, though the bed was very hard, the bedding stiff ( absolutely no comparison to the gorgeous sheets at Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City). I forgot a UK adaptor and despite the signs saying if you forget anything.. they didn't have one. Room service didn't answer. Usually you get free bottles of water, here I found I was charged a mini bar price, even though it was on an open shelf. The area around the hotel was not safe, red light district and a lot of homeless and drug addicts on the streets. As a solo woman traveller would not walk from the hotel
