Room very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only negative was no option for a light breakfast. Full breakfast cost would be 17euros. Only wanted coffee, orange juice and toast, but not prepared to pay 17euros.

Good hotel very close to the main train station, simple rooms and quite afordable. My only complaint is that the area around the train station looks sketchy and dirty, there are lots of suspicious looking folks which makes you a bit nervous specially at night. The hotel is fine and convenient.

The hotel is nice with spacious rooms, nice breakfast, and very conveniently located close to the main train station and bus and subway. Unfortunately, this location is also good for drug dealing. There are numerous people on the street selling drugs. Unlike in the US the area is safe everyone is polite

Love the spacious rooms, great price, good location walking distance to night life, and nice parking garage if you have a small car and drive slowly threw the entrance otherwise you will scrape the wheels on your vehicle as the opening to the garage is very narrow.

An inexpensive hotel conveniently close to the train station. The rooms are small but clean. The air conditioning works but cools the room slowly during very hot weather. Connection to the airport by S-Bahn is cheap and easy.

Clean room, fairly spacious, nice bathroom. We were on the sixth floor, directly next to the elevator, so that wasn't very pleasant! The room had coffee but no microwave or mini-refrigerator. Located directly across the street from the main Frankfurt train station.

The Leonardo is part of a regional chain of generally3 star hotels. The center of Frankfurt version suffers from the neighborhood which has deteriorated into a drug infested pit. The hotel rooms are recently refurbished and good size. Even with a tram line running by the hotel the double paned windows make the front rooms quit.
Parking is a necessity and available. For vulnerable people look elsewhere, for a short stay bargain hunted, the Main RR station is across the square with lots of dining options.

Being so close to the main train station and having many food options was great. My disappointment with hotel was that I expected English speaking TV channels (CNN & BCC)...those were not working. Hotel claimed it was a technical problem but suspect they have dropped those channels to save money.

It was very convenient location to all the hot spots. We took the train and the hotel is right next to the train. The corner across the street is a little worrisome but the hotel itself is very comfortable and safe.

My room (301) was very good, spacious and comfortable. But, it was just beside the elevator: All the time that the lift was going up and down we could hear because of the bad soundproof. Besides that, my room was right next to a night club and the party continued until 3 am. So, if you are a light sleeper, it is better to avoid it. Otherwise, it has a spacious, clean and comfortable room.

Very creative camera work, the pictures posted on the Hotels.com site made the room look very comfortable, in reality it was a cold room with linoleum flooring and basic furniture. The room could do with a deep clean. Hotel has potential but needs a revamp. Staff very professional, polite and informative re: public transport and local area.

I would not recommend this hotel. It was not welcoming, comfortable or relaxing. Looked fine in the photos, bright and clean. Maybe it was like that once but certainly not the case now. The carpet in d hallway was filthy, the room had seen better days also. Duvet was stained, floor looked unswept, windows appeared to be barely hanging togther and did absolutely nothing to mute the noise from the street outside. The staff were friendly and informative but the hotel itself was a let down.

The hotel is very small & not good as any other Leonardo hotels. Facilities are very limited. They have only one lift for both visitors & guests. So you need to wait & get away till you use it! Some of the Front disk team are not very professional. They don't know where to search for your name or your booking. It took too long time till we enter.

A gem near the Station.

I love this place -- and stay here whenever I fly to Europe to rest up and change time zones. The people are wonderfully gracious and the street has stores and good Turkish restaurants. It is also very close to the Station. The area around the Hauptbahnhopf has a bad reputation but I've found that the Munchenerstrasse, where this is located, is just fine. A suggestion -- stay in one of the front rooms which are more spacious and airy than the ones facing the courtyard -- also a little larger.

the hotel location was across the street from the train station, which is an area bordering the red light district so it is very shady and dirty. The room itself is exactly as pictured and nothing more - very tiny and old. The walls are paper thin so you hear every noise in the hallway and the phone conversations and TV of your neighbors. The positive aspect is the breakfast bar, which was quite good and the fact that there is secure parking, though not many spots.

Efficient and very convenient. The S & U-Bahn entrance to Frankfurt’s Hauptbahnhof (main central station) is steps away with the actual station right across the street. Stayed overnight to catch a flight the next day at Frankfurt Airport. Took 23-25 minutes from the station to the airport via S-Bahn.

Single room was clean, small, and practical. However, the noise level from the conversations down the hall at reception were quite loud. More soundproofing is better even though earplugs helped.

Even though there are plenty of restaurants on the street, the area near the hotel is quite dodgy with beggars around. Typical of the areas around main train stations in Europe. But during the daytime it is fine.

The entire hotel and personal room were very clean. The room was quite spacious for being in Europe! The staff was very friendly and the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful in referring restaurants and sites to see. The train station was across the street and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. The night life and people seem shady after 10pm so I wouldn’t go out alone. Overall Everything was perfect!

Lobby and location of hotel was awful. Not a good scene outside of the hotel in the evenings. Staff was rude at check-in and check-out. Nothing like the other Leonardo hotels around Germany that I’ve stayed in. Room was nice but elevator, hallways, and the rest of the building was dismal. Reminded me of the old DDR times.

A few of the lights in this particular room had issues (the lighted mirror didn’t work at all, the ceiling fixture barely worked only after several minutes and one of the bedside lamps was very dim) but I didn’t have time when checking out to notify the staff. These lighting issues didn’t negatively affect my stay however and in all other aspects the room was fine. The bed was comfortable, the room was dark with the drapes pulled and reasonably quiet for fronting on the street. This was my third stay at this hotel and I will come back again if I come through Frankfurt. It’s conveniently located, the breakfasts are nice, and the prices are reasonable.

Stayed one night- hotel is across street from train station and a 10-15 min walk to old part of Frankfurt. Neighborhood was predominantly Turkish, it appeared. Went to dinner at Turkish restaurant a block from hotel- was good. Hotel room was clean, large, comfy beds, had air conditioning (first hotel in Germany we stayed at with AC), large shower, appeared brand new on the inside of the room. TV even had an English language news station. Room was advertised as having a bed and a sofa bed, but did not have a sofa bed. Room was quiet with window closed. Very economical (lease expensive place we stayed at in Germany). Would recommend for somebody who wants place near train station and downtown for a good price. They also serve breakfast for an extra fee, but we went down the street to a bakery/coffee shop instead. Good wifi (free)
