The hotel is near the Frankfurt/ Main main train station, it's a very busy area and not the cleanest. We arrived by train and then just walked to the hotel. The path to the hotel isn't the greatest, it was night and we saw a bunch of crazy people out on the streets.
The hotel itself seemed fine, we only stayed one night to go to the airport the next day. Staff was very friendly. The rooms seemed simple, we asked for 4 people, but the beds seemed for 3, we managed. Hotel breakfast was wonderful!
Things we didn't like were that the elevators stop in the middle of the floors, so you have to carry your luggage up and down, not so fun. In the bathrooms, the soap dispensers are installed higher up which was hard for our kids to reach.
Again, a simple hotel to pass through for a night, nothing special, but the price still too high.

Terrible beds and very uncomfortable pillows old TV with only channels in Germán . No safety box and no Fridge in the room . Cleanness is really poor specially in the bathroom area . Only positive thing about this hotel is the location near to many restaurants, supermarkets, train station and Frankfurt convention center. The price for the room is excessive for the bad condition of the hotel . Never go back .

Cheap and easy, but dirty

Location is very easy from the train station. Breakfast was good. However, the room hadn’t been vacuumed and had dirt on the floor. The beds were not comfortable, and the noise from inside the hotel was quite loud all night.

Simple, but clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast buffet! Personnel very helpful and friendly. Very conveniently located to various sights, for instance, the river promenade and the art museum. The closeness to the train station is also very convenient, but has the disadvantage that there are some less trustworthy people around. We had no problems, however.

Overall a fantastic stay at the Ibis. The bedrooms were clean, staff were helpful and breakfast was delightful.

Do recommend if you stay at this property to exit the door, turn left and walk towards the water. Will lead you to a lovely spot and a short walk to old town!

Very noisy room facing the street. We had loud music opposite until 3 am for two nights. Would do with bit more cleaning. Beds were ok, breakfast adequate. Good value for money, but it’s in a bit of dodgy neighbourhood. Basic hotel, you get what you pay for, don’t expect any luxury. Wifi was useless as well. Won’t rush back anytime soon.

Don't bother if you need a baby bed

We only stayed one night with a 7 month old baby. Our request for baby bed through Hotels.com wasn't forwarded to the hotel. The hotel staff did dig up an old, dirty baby bed for us though which they did their best to clean but the matrasse was too long and too narrow and in combination with a loose sheet, the whole thing was just a safety hazard, so we ended up bed sharing with our child.
The room itself was very dated and basic but the good air conditioning was a plus during the hot night.
The hotel staff was kind and did their best.

Avoid this like the plague

The hotel itself was ok at best. My room had no aircon and they seem to turn the heating up in the hallways to about 30. You cannot leave the windows open because of the noise outside. One night a club over the road didn't close until around 3 so I had very little sleep. The area itself is appalling with open dealing and use of drugs, alcoholics and beggars. There are sex shops and strip clubs all round and prostitutes pestering you at all times of the day. I was brought up in a rough area of London and I can look after myself but even I felt uncomfortable at both night and day. Please avoid at all costs.

the hotel front staff were great, but the cleaning staff would cut corners (just flip dirty covers and not replace them). That surprised me... it’s been years since I’ve lived in Germany, but I remember quite vividly the attention to cleanliness.

The breakfasts were outstanding, and service staff were friendly. The beds were soft, when not on the hide-away.

the only other thing about the hotel, while it was convenient for the Hauptbahnhof, it wasn’t a good location in Frankfurt. but for a budget hotel, it was convenient.

This is one of my standard stops in Frankfurt. I've been staying here for years and nothing has appreciably changed (for the better or worse), but that's also unsurprising with a chain like Ibis Styles. The area is not going to be to everyone's tastes, but I've never felt in any way unsafe or threatened. And with a five minute walk in almost any direction you're out of the area anyway. For convenience, quality, price, service, and reliability, this play stays a strong contender.

I wouldn't stay here again.

We liked the hotel appearance in that it dressed up the neighborhood. The room was comfortable though there was only one (CNBC) English-speaking TV channel Unlike all the other hotels at which we stayed on this trip in other cities. The breakfast was adequate, not as elaborate as other places. The neighborhood was a bit frightening with visible drug exchanges and users. We walked everywhere, even through this neighborhood and didn't feel unsafe, just not happy. However, after only a couple of blocks we were in the heart of the city, the Christmas Market, and other fine venues. While there were families staying at the hotel, I would be reluctant to take kids to that neighborhood. In addition, the walls were paper thin and both outside (street) and inside noise (other rooms, one of which had small children) was annoying.The hotel staff was lovely and very helpful.

No laptop compatable in room safe.

Our stay was ok ,staff was helpful, location ok but the street was not the best , the hotel advertised in room safe which didn't exist and we had to leave our valuable in the front desk safe deposit box which couldn't fit a laptop. The breakfast was basic with mainly cold cuts ,no eggs , pancakes, bacon or waffles. The shower had a half glass which didn't stop the water from wetting the floor everytime you took a shower.

Hotel is near to the train station, and many restaurants. however, very close to the main road, which you can hear many traffic noise at night. Also, the sampler between the corridor and the room it’s not very good. You can hear people bamming doors and talking in the corridor very clearly.

Mess ruins a good image

I would love to review this with anecdotes about lovely staff, about how during check-in a man ahead of me asked where to get tea then the next day a tray appeared in the lobby with hot tea and coffee on it, or how spacious the room was but unfortunately after checking out and leaving Frankfurt I found a charge on my credit card that I had not authorised. It seemed the hotel had charged me for the room when I had actually prepaid for it on Expedia. I questioned the charge and it was quickly resolved with the decency I had seen delivered from this hotel, however the way it marred my image of this place cannot be undone. I was left feeling concerned how they could have done this withot authorisation and whether anything would have happened had I not installed an iPhone app pretrip that let me check my card charges daily. Would it have gone unnoticed and ultimately u challenged? Should I be concerned for the card’s security now? No hotel chain, no matter the size or service, should be allowed to undermine such things and leave you questioning how safe they are and how they can be trusted. It was €200, not much maybe for some, but it was the doubt and mistrust that lingers. For that reason I cannot, with good conscience, say you should stay here. But if you must then ensure you keep an eye on your credit card charges.

I really love staying at the Ambassador Ibis Styles as it's so local to where all of my clients are. The staff are also always friendly and for the most part, it's good value for money.
However, I feel that the hotel and some of the aspects of the room are starting to look a bit tired and in need of a refresh.
Also, the breakfast always has a lovely selection of items and is really welcoming. It also runs for a very long time, which is great. Unfortunately, a lot of the bread and fresh produce (tomatoes, cucumbers...) were no longer very fresh - everything felt like it was a day old.
So, overall, it was a good stay, but the team need to make sure to keep things fresh and modern.

Hotel is famous for it's very copious breakfast with a wide variety to choose from. Our room had 4 beds and was pretty simple. It had a descent bathroom with shower. There was subtle construction noise during the day but none overnight.

Out the door to the right leads to turistict Frankfurt: clean, nice, etc
Out the door to the left leads to a supermarket, but you will pass by whorehouses and drugdealing corners!!! Horrible place to stay!!!

Overall is good, the room is very clean and staff od hotel are very friendly. Another advantage is the hotel is very close to Frankfurt Manin station, thus very convenient in transportation, and easy for finding restautants. But there is a bar in opposite street, the noisy last to 3 - 4 am each night.

i stayed there for 1 night, the room was ok, bathroom shower was not best setup, the hotel is a bit old, though rooms seem to be refurbished, good location though i prefer to stay further away from the main train station next time where i can hv a better room for same value of money. frankfurt hv an excellent transport system so location isnt a key factor as u can buy a day pass for euro 8.5 that allows u to use all kinds of transport in the city.

This hotel has a great location. And the male staff member was very pleasant. But we left this hotel within hours of checking in. Old run down dirty and very unpleasant smell. Tiny room with stained walls and display pillow on bed. Bathroom toilet not cleaned properly from the last person who stayed. Felt very unsafe and isolating. Panel in back of door where someone patched over a hole with a piece of wood. Weird patch up areas and scuff marks and destroyed and damaged property and shell. Very surprised this is even rated as a hotel class. Worse than a bad backpackers. We went down the road to roomers! Stay there instead!

Handy for Frankfurt main railway station and I booked a deal which made it cheaper than the 'standard' Ibis nearby. The hotel room itself was fine, clean and comfy - as you'd expect from Ibis Styles. Checkout took a bit longer than expected, about 15 mins as there was only one terminal for staff to use but only a minor inconvenience rather than an issue.

The price makes it right

If you are on a budget this hotel fits right in. My room was very small and not a square inch was wasted. The bed was comfortable, WIFI was free and so was the very nice breakfast buffet. The area is close the main train station and that means it is a bit on the seedy side. Still, I never did feel threatened and the proximity of the train station proved to be very convenient.

The ibis is a great place to stay if you need a place close to the main train station. We easily walked with our suitcase to the hotel (about a street and a half away). The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. There was also a good selection for the included breakfast. Also within walking distance of some great shopping.

Service is quite good. staff are willing to help. location is fine, need main train station but need to walk for a while. cleanliness are not enough for the bed and pillow coverlet. seems they haven't clear them enough because it has dust and hair. others are okay. the room window seems not safe enough, so one can claim up if they want. so remember to close the window when you out of the room. bathroom is big enough and clear. so this is okay. I felt noise because down there was a small outdoor bar.

It's a nice hotel and in the center of the city with central station only 200 m away. The room was clean though without things like safe, and mini bar. Other than that it's a nice hotel with free WIFI.

Dont get carried away by the pics shown in the hotel profile...forget about self rated 3 Star, cannot give even 1 star raring. Badly Maitained very very small rooms, no house keeping only 1 person for available in the entire hotel when we checked in @ 6 pm. Their are far better hotels in the vicinity of frankfurt central railway. Avoid and the prices is also very high.
