This place was perfect for us as we were only visiting Frankfurt for a day! Had everything we needed, was clean, and also quite close and walkable to most of the things we wanted to do and see in Frankfurt, such as the New Old Town!
What really was amazing here was the staff! They were polite, friendly, helpful, and were in a great mood any time that we interacted with them! Would recommend staying here just because of them, but also because the hotel is a nice place to stay if you're in Frankfurt! Thank you!

It is a clean hotel, close to train station, very convinient location for a one night to continue to other cities in Germany. The area is old and aome homeless people around, a police station across the street. Walk to old frankfurt. But not very convinient for night out for dinner and drinks

2 Nights in Frankfurt

My 2 night stay was relaxing and comfortable. The location across from the Main Train Station was the reason I chose this Hotel. Though there were a few homeless around, there was enough traffic so you didn't feel unsafe. Lots of walkable sights, but best choice was the Hop On Hop Off that you can carch right outside the Train Station's Main Entrance. Ticket allows you 2 slightly different tour bus routes and also a boat cruise on the Main River. Staff at Hamburger Hof were friendly and very helpful. AC and water pressure were above average and bed was comfortable. Elevator was very small, but worked well. Had breakfast 1 day and it was fine. Great service by staff also. Nice hotel, just sad the neighborhood was a tad disappointing. I would stay again.

Really happy with how close this hotel is to the main train station!! The hotel was clean, A/C worked great, and front desk spoke good English. Even though there are homeless people near the train station (to be expected), there are also a lot of police in the area, and I felt safe in the hotel as a solo female traveler!!

Another excellent stay at Hamburger Hof Hotel. The front desk staff is outstanding and even called a local restaurant for us when we weren't able to book reservations online.

The room is basic but has everything you need including many electrical outlets, a heat lamp in the bathroom, a refrigerator (hidden in the night stand so you have to look for it), good lighting (overhead plus lamps), a good-sized desk, etc.

Air conditioning blew cold but I think you really have to follow the explicit instructions I was given by the front desk on my first day:
1. ALL windows must be closed or it won't come on.
2. Put your room key in the AC slot
3. Set the blower to the lowest fan speed first
4. Let it run for 5 minutes.
5. Adjust to your preferred fan speed and temp.

This is a great property, value priced and super close to the train station. Definitely a go-to for me.

Kind reception staff changed rooms, but second room air conditioning fan ran but with no cooling after hours of running! Not ideal in hot summer temperatures! Followed all instructions from hotel staff, but believe unit needs maintenance/re - gassing! Disappointing 😞

I was really happy with this property. The front desk staff were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The room was clean and the air conditioning was cool. Plenty of bright lighting in the room and the bathroom. I had the standard twin room and yes, it was small, but it was fine with a desk and chair in addition to the bed. There was also a small refrigerator in the nightstand and a heat lamp in the bathroom. I didn't take the breakfast but it looked pretty good. Honestly, I was perfectly happy here. Very convenient to the train station (just be sure you take the correct exit from the station). My only \"complaint\" would be that I personally thought that the neighborhood was a little rough but I was only there for one night then took the train out the next morning so really, it was great.

Literally across the street from the train station, with an easy walk to the Innenstadt and Altstadt and plenty of food choices nearby. The room was clean and neat. A bit noisy outside on a Saturday night, with a few sketchy characters on the street in the evening, but did not feel unsafe. An excellent place to stay for the price.

I always enjoy staying at Hamburger Hof. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms (although on the small side) are impeccably clean. Convenient location, 2 minutes walk from the main train station. There can be street noise but nothing too serious. I’ll definitely be back, and I recommend this hotel.

Hamburger Hof Hotel is my preferred hotel stay whenever I’m in FRA. Check-in time is 2pm which helps tremendously if your train arrives earlier than expected.

Perfect location for travel by Train. The station nearby connects with city transportation as well. It is a 20 min walk to old town. The hotel was nice, somewhat modern and the furniture was comfortable. The grounds around the Train station lack cleanliness and some bars on windows showing crime could be a problem. However police station is right across the street from the hotel. Early evening after dark felt safe enough for me. The streets adjacent to hotel and train station is likely safe at any hour. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall good value for money.

This hotel was a great little property. We were three women and had a triple room which was small, but well appointed. We didn’t realize the refrigerator was beside one of the beds until we were leaving! Breakfast had good options and kept us full until dinner time. The train station was very close were trams, subways, busses etc. we found the exit out of the subway closest to the hotel once, but it was via a homeless encampment so we didn’t go that route again. The front desk staff were all great and very friendly. I would both recommend this property as well as stay again if I’m in the area.

Bit underwhelming - heating wouldn’t turn off despite putting it on 0, air con wouldn’t come on so had to open window above a noisy road. Also the door of the room didn’t lock properly (so could enter without the key) or the key wouldn’t work once the door did lock. Would expect much better for the price paid.

Wonderful location right next to main train station, immediate areas surrounding and nearby are day time only streets, but area is well lit. Hotel has been updated and rooms are comfortable and well worth the cost. Lot of choices to eat nearby and easy to catch local trams and sight-seeing bus.

The staff at Hamburger Hof Hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby appears to be recently renovated and was very beautiful. The elevator was rather small though, so our group of three had to make multiple trips to get our suitcases up and down. Our room was able to comfortably accommodate three adults. The water in the shower had the tendency to spill out and flood the floor due to gaps around the glass shower door.

Hamburger Hof was a nice little hotel very close to the Frankfurt Main train station. The staff were very nice and helpful with local recommendations. Their breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. We had two minor issues; one, the safe in our room didn’t work and they offered to move us but we chose to stay. The other was the temperature of the room. For some reason it was difficult to get it to maintain a good temperature. As others have said, the area around the station “seemed” a bit seedy but we never felt unsafe as there were always people coming and going from the train station and the police station is directly across from the hotel. It was always very quiet at night so no problems with sleep. There is an excellent Italian restaurant and an excellent Chinese restaurant right around the corner. We enjoyed our 5 night stay here.

New and clean, and right across from the north exit of the main train station. Receptionist marked on a map the direction to the riverside for running. Breakfast is fine for 13.5 euro. Room is small but served the purpose for an overnight stay. But somehow there is not even a bottle of water or an electric kettle in the room. It always took a couple of minutes for me to use the card key to open the door. The hotel may need to check the working of the key system.
