Everything else was ok but the dirty carpet with many numerous past stains left a lot to be desired. Definitely had to wear my shoes(not barefoot) around the room. Also, the carpet has not seen a vacuum cleaner in a long time. I can see lot of bits of stuff on the carpet around the whole room. The carpet is filthy. I didn't pay much for the room $35/night for 7 nights...so I get what I pay for.

This hotel was alright, definitely nothing special. We only stayed one night so it was sufficient. However, there didn’t seem to be a bar or laundry services as advertised. It is also in a sketchy area, nothing is really close. The service was good, very friendly. Overall, okay place to sleep at but probably wouldn’t stay longer.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been in

Possible one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been in. It was so bad I had to check out after 30min it’s to find another hotel. Firstly it’s located in an extremely rough part of Frankfurt. The walls were paper thin, the curtains were nearly hanging and weren’t even big enough to cover the window. The mattress was basically wood, there was dirt everywhere, never been cleaned properly for a while. No one should ever stay here!

We were only there for a night--popped into a quick museum in the morning and flew home in the evening. It was all we needed it to be. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was the standard European buffet. The area is definitely safe, but looks like it might not be at times. WiFi was weak in the building away from the front desk.

very Old not clean and low-end rooms, not even a 1-star hotel, I had to stay for a last-minute booking, I paid over 200 USD per night for a hostel room, very old carpet, old building, old disgusting shower, the reciption guy was helpful to be fair, Hotel is 15 min away from the exhibition center which was the only positive thing, breakfast was Ok still I was worried about the cleanness of the tables, cups, and plates.

You robbed us by calling this place a 3 star property. This was a no star hotel. With a very dirty shared toilet which was shared by 2 rooms. The toilet was very dirty and the staircase was never cleaned in 100 years. The room had broken glass kept on top the closet with dirty water glasses. Very small bed, two people can’t sleep on it. Shower did not drain well so the water was in room. Only positive was that it was very close to Messe where we had to go. This is a scam and a very dirty unclean hotel. You find these kind of places in third world countries not in Germany.

nice economy room for short business trips

The hotel is from a reasonable walking distance to the Central Train Station. Unless you have very big bags you should be able to access the station by walking. The economy rooms don't have a toilette, but they have a sinker and a shower.

This is a basic hotel, well located by Frankfurt Central train station and value for money.
The room was large, clean and comfortable.
There’s a kettle in the room but only coffee no tea but perhaps that’s a German thing.

It was a bit noisy in the evening as people congregate at the front of the hotel and chat. My room was at the front.

Good, cheap hotel in Frankfurt

Well yeah, the hotel is not a 5 stars, but we enjoyed our brief stay there. You have to share the restroom, your room has just the shower in it, also the TV has few channels, all of them in German, and even though there is WiFi, the signal is very very poor.

But on the other side, the bed is incredibly comfortable, the shower temperature is great, and the breakfast is heaven! Definitely more than I was expecting! And the location is pretty cenric to everything you might want to see in Frankfurt. Don't be afraid to stay here, is worth it :)

We stayed there for 1 night- family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Chose this hotel as was close to the main train station and offereed 4 beds ans a spacius room. This turned out to be very true. Hotel room biggher than standard rooms. No foyer but we didn't need it. Breakfast quite basic but enough included ham, cheese, tomatoes, pepper, cucumber, sausages, scrambled eggs. , baked beans, yogurt, cornflakes, cakes, tea and coffee, fresh breadrolls, toast, bread. Within close walking distance to the Main train station. The staff is friendly, the room was clean, and in the heat of August, provided a floor fan in the room. Also provided an electric hot water kettle in the room, with powdered coffee, tea bag, and powdered condiments. Very nice and thoughtful!
The breakfast quality was \"good\", the quantity was ample, and the staff kept the provisions well attended to.
There is a lift and the WLAN (wi-fi) was strong.
Although the property is older, the owners have made up for the cosmetics of the building by providing the traveler with nice, modest amenities that can make a difference when tired. Again, the friendly staff helps.

Good value for money

The rooms are satisfactory; soft but weird-feeling matrasses with no air conditioner. No kitchen facilities (to make tea/coffee) at anytime after breakfast and no mini-fridge in the room; much less cups and a jug to boil water. Having written that statement the hotel does provide value for money. The breakfast is excellent (and I'm a hard judge when it comes to breakfast!)

Strictly the hotel is barely two star but the price is attractive and the location (12 minute walk to the main train station) is also appealing. The staff are knowledgeable in regard to activities for tourism and hints for Germany etc. For circa 45-47E/night one cannot complain or if one wishes to complain then book the Crowne or the Sheridan.

For the price it was ok.

They have limited parking places. About 12, in the back of the building. We specifically reserved one for when we arrive. The check in it was at 22hr but I guess they assumed that we are not coming anymore so they don't kept the space. We find a parking place just in front of the hotels door. For free until 07 Am.

I found this Hotel an ideal location close to tram main railway station and bus depot.
It may not be 5 star but for comfort, excellent included breakfast and price I would find it hard to go by!
Staff were friendly and unobtrusive and really helpful. The reception desk is manned 24hours and I really appreciated the 12 o'clock check out.

The guy on the front desk was great! So friendly, spoke perfect english, even offered me a small upgrade as a room had become available unexpectedly (he could have waited to see if anyone else would book it.)!!!
Room was relatively clean and smelled nice but...unfortunately there were hairs on the bedding and the towels smelled like an indian kitchen. Which meant that so did my bathroom and my skin by the next day. Breakfast was interesting as there was a swarm of guys and the only other female in sight was the cook who seemed run off her feet and struggling to keep the food replenished at the buffet.
Great location convenience wise but not the most secure feeling neighborhood with the graffiti everywhere.
If it weren't for the towels I would stay there again.

The staff was nice except the man with glasses in the morning he had no personality. Outside of breakfast in the morning, the hotel had nothing else to offer. The hotel is in the middle of bad neighborhood, not close to any restaurants or any sightseeing places. An its a hostel. It doesn't deserve a three star rating. I watched many guests show up a leave. My daughter and my experience was horrible. Also the rooms have no micowaves or refrigerator in the rooms. We had to put our soda and food on the window ledge to keep it cool. Overall not a great experience .

Where do I begin?

Well lets see... The location is alright, however, the neighborhood is trash. Every object known to man is covered in graffiti. As soon as we showed up, we knew we should have read the reviews. Checked in, got to the room and instantly started looking for new places to stay and an exit strategy. After realizing we were stuck, it was great to really take in the ambiance of the room with the lack of toilet, stained carpets, yellow shower curtain, TV from the 80's, single beds pulled together as a double bed, spiders crushed on the wall, etc. The final touch to this wonderful experience at the Everest Hotel was the automatic weapon fired outside of the building that had my girlfriend getting up close and personal with the stained carpet. Breakfast was nice though :)

I had really bad experience in our stay in this hotel for two nights.
First the size of room is smaller and there is no picture on web site for this economic room, second the noise level is horrible, we were not able to sleep. Last morning there was somebody knocking on the door of our room and they say it's a room service, but we didn't expect no body, when I open the door there was three police man asking me for passport or ID. Because of this I don't recommend this hotel.

Good location, close to train station and within walking distance of the riverfront. We were in the annex. A shabby stairway led to a dark, bare hall, where a motion sensor turned on a light as we turned a corner. Our room was TINY, with little floor space and only one chair on which to put our three suitcases. A small closet provided one shelf and three hangers---more than our London room did, but then, that was a private room in a hostel. This room had no A/C, and the window opened only a few inches. We had a small private shower and sink (semi-open), but the toilet was a tiny, stuffy single stall down the hall. (Yes, the door locks.) The surprise was the lavish free breakfast buffet in the main building, with a wide range of hot and cold foods including scrambled eggs, sausage, deviled eggs, braunschweiger, brie, several kinds of bread, fruit, yogurt, hot and cold drinks....

This review is only for Mini Everest

I did not book room in Mini Everest but I got what I paid for I guess. Mini Everest is a 3 story building attached to main building. There is no elevator, but spiral staircase present. Staff offered help but I did not expect that there was no elevator. I received a code to access internet, but there was no connection at all. My room was over the roof, somebody from the next room tried to get into my room looking for a girlfriend. I do not have to say that I did not feel comfortable and safe. I tried to put a telephone next to me, but telephone did not work. Since Mini Everest is a separate building I would not get help if I needed it. Needless to say that I do not recommend this hotel. However breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and spoke English.

This is not Hotel. Im sorry to say that. This is more like student dorm. My room was on second building, when u enter the steps to the room are horrible. Smelling in those small hols are disgusting. The room are like students rooms. They don't ever look like hotel rooms. So Im surprised with expedia too, how can u let this kind of \"hotel\" to be in you're list.

Really bad experience

After spending two really nice nigths at the Townhouse hotel close by, which have same 3 star rating as the Everest hotel, we are very disappointed. We didnt get our room until 6PM because they havent cleaned it. The room was located in another building in the backalley. The room was very cold, toilets were shared in the hall and the shower in the room was a part of the room, not in a separate room. The shower did not have any ventilation, and the room was in generel worn down. Luckily we only had to stay one night. I really question the star ratings of hotels in Germany now. How two hotels with same rating can be so different in quality is a mystery. Go for the Townhouse hotel instead.

Definitely not going back! No air condition nor fan! Can't sleep all night as it was too hot, so left the windows open but It was very noisey from outside. It might be good in winter but not when it was 38degrees. One male receptionist (looks like Indian or Arab) can't even greet the guest, very rude! Positive things, hotel location was accessible. 2 Asian looking receptionists are friendly and polite, room was big and clean and the free breakfast was great! Lots of choices.

A great price, great location and decent hotel

This place doesn't look like much from the outside and even the initial entrance is only OK. The elevator also is scrawled with some graffiti. That being said for 35 euros a night, the room was very spacious (room 41) as was the bathroom. A very nice surprise! There is thin red carpet throughout the room, not my favorite, but there is a modern flatscreen TV and the two single beds adjoining. A firm mattress, but worked fine and I slept well (I requested a room in the back). The hair dryer also works well.

The best parts were the included breakfast and the location. A pretty generous spread of cold cuts, hot foods like scrambled eggs and frankfurters, various breads and rolls and fruit.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk outside the south entrance/exit of Frankfurt Hauptbanhof, bordering on a residential/business neighborhood. It's only about a 10-15-minute walk down to the riverfront and then another easy walk following that to the Rohmer and museumfurter.

I would stay here again.

Original room we were given was on ground floor, and had to walk through carpark, curtains provided no privacy, were only provided with one pillow. Bathroom mouldy. Thanks to google map we could find the hotel from the Main train station, it is a 10 minutes walking fron the station, fortunately, it has a sign on the steeet that lead you to the hotel. It is in a residential area. First floor is not quiet but in the fourth floor street noise is less. Nice breakfast is included so it is a plus for this hotel, it is not a huge buffet but enough for a good breakfast (crereals, fruits, gread, cheese, ham, yogurt, coffe,tea and juice. Elevator is vey small, just for two persons and it is located between lobby and first floor, so you need to take a five step stairs.

Great included breakfast, great price, great location. We were flying out of Frankfurt and this is at the main train station which has connections to the airport every fifteen minutes with. The train ride to the airport takes ten minutes. The hotel was a little dirty and the beds weren't the most comfortable but well worth it. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is near the main Frankfurt train station. It is also within walkin distance of the Rhine-Main river and many of the museums and tourist spots. The free breakfast was good. The room is small, but I only need so much space, and a little banged up, but not dirty. The staff speaks English and the reception is 24hrs so I didn't have to worry about getting in late. The only thing I don't like is that the room keys are attached to a massive bronze handle. Highly recommend.

Close to train station, comfortable

This was my second stay at this hotel. As expected, the room was clean and comfortable. This trip, I developed flu-like symptoms and spent most of the week in bed. The staff were very accommodating and helpful during this time. The Internet problem however, still remains with the Internet going in and out all day. All in all, I'd continue recommending the hotel as an affordable alternative to the more luxurious options.

worst experience

worst experience during the stay in Hotel. Hotel day staff is not cooperative at all. Staff has different rules for different customers.. one can gain cooperation while for other \"Big No\" lots of differnece in facilities shown during at the time of booking and what you will get.

A Good Stop Along The Bahnfof

I found it great that it was a fairly decent walking distanceof around 550 m from the main train station. It worked for me as a good temporary stay before my German class started. It is quiet in the area and the TV channel selection was decent as well.

We over-night transitted through Frankfurt 3 times the last 2 months. After the first night in an airport hotel, we stayed at the Everest twice having discovered how much better it is to take the train from the airport to downtown, pay a fraction of the price for hotel, and have city aminities at fingertips. Our first stay at Everest we had a room with bath down the hall. Poor choice. The hall lights are all set on motion sensers that don't respond from the bath. We were also in a second building behind the main hotel that opened to an alleyway. So why did we then reserve for a second time? Service - breakfast - location. The entire staff was exceptional and we were certain our room experience could/would be better. Location - not only is it an easy walk from the main train station, it is in a quiet neighborhood setting across a small lane from a park and playground - felt safe and homey, and then there was the breakfast! We traveled for 2 months and this was right at the top of the list and they considered the breakfast-appitites of Americans, Europeans and Asians as well. The second time we reserved a room with bath and had a lovely large room with 2 huge opening picture windows onto the park (15). A tip, if walking from the train station, stay on the road that runs parallel and adjacent the station till after you cross the underpass - then finding the hotel is easy.

Would of Been Better if ...

Stayed in room # 13, first floor facing the small square the hotel faces. My stay would of been much better if the locals didn't congregate at the kiosk a few houses over, drinking beer and yelling till 4:30 AM my first night. This killed my first day of sight seeing, causing me to sleep in and miss my planned castle tour. After that, I never did kick my jet lag and get a good night's sleep. Every night for the remainder of my 6 night stay, the locals were out enjoying their bier and loud conversations, though the noise died down by 11 PM. Either the hotel management didn't understand when I complained or didn't care, no new room was offered or any action taken. If your looking for a hotel near the train station and centrally located to most of the city's attractions, it's a nice location but get a rear facing room and temper your expectations.

If internet isn't needed, stay here

I arrived early in the morning before check-in time but that didn't phase the staff. They kept my luggage in the office while I toured the area waiting for the room to come open. As it was the weekend, it was a nice, quiet walk. The room was ready by the time I returned to the hotel and I was able to rest before beginning the evening's activities.

Overall, I found the staff to be very professional and accommodating. They were friendly and knowledgeable of the area and transportation options which made getting around easier. The room was comfortable, if a little sparse, the breakfast was excellent but the same thing every morning. Variety would have been nice.

For the most part, this was an enjoyable stay. The only problems were the internet was very unreliable, often necessitating a trip to the eating area to reconnect before taking the elevator back up to the room to continue working. Very frustrating as I had to do that several times a day on those days I used the internet at the hotel. But as I was there mostly for sleeping, I put up with the problem.

The other issue as noise. For the first part of the week, the hotel was very quiet but beginning Tuesday night, the hotel must've gotten busier because the noise level went up. The elevator was often running until after midnight and people were coming and going into the early morning hours, which made for several nights of interrupted sleep. It wasn't bad but it was annoying.

Will I stay here again? Maybe.
