The shared areas were outdated with stained carpets. The room was OK and always clean. Location was good with buses running at close proximity. Subway station were around 10 min walk which was also convenient.

Expensive breakfast, not worthy of the price, only one pillow per bed, rooms hot and worn, dirty carpet along the hallway, one of room keys didnt work, need a code to exit the parking garage, hotel is hard to find on a busy street, staff was rude and impatient. No extra blankets or pillows. No usb this is twice the price it should be, staff gave me incorrect dorection to transit.

The hotel provided you with the most uncomfortable pillow that hurts ur neck and the staff in heavy rude. They don’t smile or offer assistance for anything except the Guy who speaks Spanish. The shower needs renovation. The water gets stuck in the sink. Etc etc

The hotel is overall located not a good place. Its very far from shopping centers. There’s no nearby coffeeshops. Breakfast is also expensive than other hotels. Not worthy.
And the rooms were very cold and old. The heating system doesn’t work well.
I could say not looks like 4 star hotel, looks like 2 star hotel.

It’s a nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are pretty basic - no fridge (unless you rent one), no AC, no coffee maker. Perhaps that is the style in Berlin. However, the hotel was clean and the room was comfortable.

Nice and convenient

Check in was easy, Luisa was very helpful and spoke perfect English. She gave good information on traveling to airport, and was helpful with the washer. The dryer was broken but it was ok we hung everything up! The room was spacious. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was very nice, with many choices, a nice large display!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

What an awful experience!!! I booked a room for a friend who checked in at 9pm, and had to until almost 1am to be allocated a room. It is an absolute disgrace.
When checking in he was told there was no room for him, even though we had received an email from the hotel about the booking. After a lengthy telephone call with the front desk, they finally confirmed they had found the booking, but still made the guest wait THREE HOURS before being given a room. They definitely need to brush up on their customer service skills!

Not Superstar Quality But Not Bad

The overall stay was good. Nice comfy beds and enough space for a couple with laptops etc. The shower has excellent water pressure and the cleaning services are to a high standard.

The day staff are friendly however one one occasion there was a young man working on the night shift that was very apathetic and too casual towards the guests. Even wearing what looked like sweatpants.

The transport lines were not terrible (if you know where you're going) but if you're new to the city and don't have an understanding of public transport, it's quite a while away from the nearest U-Bahn station.

You have to check in BEFORE you can drive into the parking garage. VERY WEIRD.
Then, there are several short flights of stairs one has to carry one's luggage to get to the lifts. My card didn't work for the door and the bell didn't get the front desk. So I, a woman, was stuck with my luggage alone at night in the parking garage. I had to leave my luggage and walk around.
The front desk guy wasn't overly worried about any of this. I guess Berlin is so much safer that this isn't a problem but being from LA, I was quite happy to A) be unharmed and B) still find my luggage after this. Having a bell that doesn't actually get anyone's attention isn't overly helpful either. At least put a sign \"doesn't work\" or something.
Rooms are clean, quiet and sufficient. Internet works. Street parking workable.

Two star wanting to be a four

The front desk was polite and helpful, the room was large. Now the no's, no sheets on the bed, no air-conditioning, no fan no safe, no refrigerator, no cups for drinks.30-50 minutes on 2 buses to go site-seeing. A nice breakfast but way overpriced. Not a room you want to go back to, too unwind.

Room's nice and clean. no AirCondition..so ask for a fan in summer months can be very warm. Easy Bus ride to and from TXL airport.
hop on route/bus 128.. for either way..2.80 euros. to get to Alexander Platz...just walk 6 mins to Franz-Neumann--Platz and hop on subway. U8...Hotel has a Restaurant...more selection at Franz-Neuman...

Great location if you need to be by the airport but still want walk ability for food and drinks. No AC during a heat wave was super uncomfortable and the room was a little dated. Nice big windows open up to the street but not enough of a breeze to really cool the room at night. Luckily the bed is on wheels so I moved it directly under the window. Front desk staff were pretty cold and unhelpful.

Asked the staff for an iron & ironing board, they told me I could find some in their basement and that I would have to go down there to get it myself. Very sketchy and odd service.
Tried to ask someone for some help and they responded \"I don't know Italian\", excuse me? Neither do I, I am pretty sure I asked in English.
Odd staff, I would stay elsewhere if possible.

I LIKE THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT IS NEAR WHERE MY MOM RESIDES AND CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT WITH A BUS TO TAKE YOU THERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PROPERTY. THE STAFF IS EXCEPTIONAL. FRIENDLY ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP IN ANY WAY WITH A SMILE.
THE ONLY THING THAT WAS NOT TO MY PERSONAL LIKING ARE THE PILLOWS. THEY WERE TOO SOFT. I'M SURE THE STAFF SAW ME BRING IN A COUPLE OF PILLOWS THAT I BORROWED FROM MY NIECE. LOL
I BELIEVE THIS WAS THE THIRD TIME I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO EVERYTIME I COME TO VISIT.

wasn't told breakfast wasn't included in fact I was told what time breakfast was suggesting to me it was....was not asked on check in if i would like to upgrade and was never made aware it wasn't included until i was getting my breakfast! didn't even say it anywhere in the booking confirmation...when the woman at reception was made aware she didn't really smile or try to appease the matter just shrugged and said that's how it is...wasn't terribly happy with that although the food didn't seem worth the extortionate 19.90 she told me i should pay extra...

The room amenities are pretty old and used a lot. especially the bathroom is not 3 star quality. But everything was clean and usable.

Good Choice near Tegal / would return

After spending over three weeks in Europe, my wife and I spent a day/night here before flying back to the states, and we were very pleased with our choice. We took Bus 120 from Berlin Hauptbahnhof train station to the hotel (get off at the Hollanderst./Aroser Allee stop, about a 20-minute ride). Victor's is a short walk (one minute) from the stop. Note: We had two suitcases, and found this very doable. The room was a tad dated and there was no air conditioning (fan was provided), but the very pleasant and helpful staff, location, and great breakfast (first class/huge variety) more than made up for that. It is situated in a pleasant neighborhood with a very nice lake/park and small restaurants within a short walk. We had a 10 a.m. flight the following day, but had time for breakfast before checking out. We then took Bus 128 to Tegal (15-minute ride). No regrets. We would return.

I don’t know how any one can stay here in the summer. It was in the low 70s the night we stayed there but the room was over 90 degrees. No A/C the window did not open enough to allow any cool air in from outside and they give you a crappy little fan far to small to create any circulation in the room. When I complained to the staff they were completely indifferent. A complete waste of money. Do not stay here.

Nice Hotel overlooking a quiet street.

Hotel experience was very good. Room was very nice and very clean. Hotel Desk was very helpful. Every request made was met. The best feature of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. The food was really good and the variety was excellent. I highly recommend staying there. Again the front desk was really helpful we were able to navigate around Berlin due to their help and they even contacted my limousine company to have them pick me up at a requested time. Greatly appreciate it.

Decor was \"industrial\" - i.e., blacks, grey, metal. Floor carpeting in hallway resembled laminated wood strips. Floor carpeting in room was circular log shapes!

A great hotel with great service

The hotel was very clean and comfortable for our one night stay. It is relatively close to Tegel airport yet very quiet. When I had troubles connecting to internet the staff gave me a special code which worked great. The breakfast in the morning included anything you could want and was delicious. The staff made sure that we had a taxi waiting for us for our trip to the airport! Definitely recommend it!

We just had an overnight stay at this hotel as we had an early morning flight. It's in a nice neighbourhood and we had a little walk before supper.
The room was very clean.
There is no restaurant but it has a beautiful breakfast buffet.
We were able to have a lovely evening meal at a little cafe just down the street.

We chose this hotel because it advertised a shuttle to the airport, but we learned from the hotel staff that such a shuttle does not eist. We preferred the Victors Resdence hotel near Alexander Platz. It is more modern, more quiet and located across from a beautiful park.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff

This hotel was just what my partner and I needed. The free breakfast was brilliant, the staff were approachable and helpful and the room was spacious and clean, with all the facilities we needed. It's a short bus trip away from the airport, which was really handy. It is a bit far out of the city centre though (a 25-30 minute journey in by train). However, all in all it was a great stay.

I chose this hotel because it was in walking distance to my Mom's apartment. It was very clean, the staff nothing but helpful at every turn.
The only thing that was not to my comfort standards were the beds. I woke up with back pain and I need my pillow to be firm. Again that is my personal need and is probably fine with other guests.
That is my only complaint and when I visit Berlin again I will choose this hotel without hesitation.

My wife and I both retired and from UK have just had 8 days in Berlin, our first visit, staying at Victor's Hotel. We had a great time. A top European capital with much for every taste. Do buy a travel card beforehand as this makes navigating the city with its joined up transport system of underground and surface trains, buses and trams really very simple. The Reichstag visit was memorable and a must. Online planning beforehand payed off handsomely.

Arrived late at night, surprised to find fridge and coffee facilities in room.
Unfortunately room on street, VERY noisy! Found out window broken, would not close.
Staff suggested we change room ( now midnight) We were told they would upgrade our room for the inconvenience . New room no longer had fridge nor coffeemaker, nor wardrobe.
Luckily no longer on streetside, so much quieter. Reading lights broken, next day had
to request clean towels. The one soap dispenser in shower, ran out, had to put soap from sink
soap dispenser (attached to wall) in glass to use in shower.
They boasted hotel offered free worldwide phone calls from room, would have been great if phone had worked!

This Hotel Failed To Meet Basic Expectations

Two things bothered me about this hotel. First, there was no A/C in the room. Whoever heard of a hotel without climate control? When we got to the room, the heater was pumping furiously, and it was only in the high 60s outside. Even shutting off the heat and opening the window, we were uncomfortable all night. Second, none of the doors leading from the garage to the hotel worked, and no one answered the call boxes to let me in to the hotel. After spending ten minutes looking for a way in, I had to follow the ramps to street level. Very unsatisfying experience.

We were given a cubicle-sized room infused with 20 years of the finest cigarette smoke and an opportunity to apply our cleaning skills before using any bathroom facilities. We declined.
The very polite and helpful receptionist called us a Taxi which took us to another hotel.

The hotel was useful for a quick stopover before getting a flight the next day. The room was quiet and began to get noisier in the morning when the air traffic increased. If one is willing to do a little bit of walking, there is an Aldi not too far away & it helps to have GPS. The U-bahn network is also close by which, in Berlin, means one can get around the city very easily. The receptionist who spoke English very well was helpful and assistive in providing directions.

Nice hotel off the bus line to the airport

We had a 13 hour layover in Berlin and needed to get some rest before our flight to Chicago the next morning. This was the perfect stopover and very reasonably-priced. We took a bus from the airport and it stopped right in front of the hotel. The next morning we walked one block and got back on the bus to the airport. The hotel was clean, the room very just the right size, and the breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We highly recommend this location.
