The room was modern and we'll maintained. The mattress was very comfortable. The check in process is kiosk driven in the afternoon which was seamless. I'm surprised the front desk is staffed in the morning vs afternoon as the check in process is more challenging than check out. Also would be great if the check in process was better explained upfront and in English for non Germans as all correspondence was in German.

Great place - great value

We liked this hotel, clean and convenient. All self-service - easy and fast. Good room, very practical layout and good bed. This hotel is close to the Tegel airport - so you will hear airplanes, however, there is not air traffic during the night - so it will be quite. We had no trouble finding parking in the neighborhood streets with less than 5-minute walk. Easy to get to the airport the next morning.

It's worth the money, if you like watch the movies like me then it is good for you. I will definitively come back maybe for 1 week because not so expensive. The bathroom didn't smell so good but I like the location of the hotel.

MH HOtels are inexpensive (relatively) in Germany and a few other locations. They are designed for a businessman on a 2-3 day sray on a tight budget. The rooms are modest in size and features, but all essentials are included and many extras are available on request. computerized entry/registration works fine if you have an advanced, pre-paid reservation, which I did,but it could become problematical if you just show up without a pre-paid reservation..

Horrible experience!

The main problem is that they have no reception. If you get there and you have and American credit card, you will have problems because the machine where you have to check is asks for a credit card code, we has to wait a long time on the street for this problem to be solved. After getting into our room, the machine gave the same room number to other people so they just entered into or room when we were there!
We stayed 4 days, but the room was made just one time because we asked for.
We had to stay one more day in berlin as there was a train strike, so we paid for one more day, however the deactivated our internet code and even thou I called the lady she didn't do anything about it and I wasn't able to change my reservation on the other hotel and ended up paying more for this lazy lady's fault. On top of that, the next day when we went to have our last breakfast there she gave me such a big attitude.
Skip this place, clients attention is horrible and the hotel is far away from every thing.

Great Stay

Excellent rooms; clean, with good design.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms are small compared to American standard - but if you are familiar with European standards - it is perfect.
Check-in is via a 'Check-in Kiosk' - different, but easy and convenient.
Breakfast is free and the selection, good.
Close to the U-Bahn into central Berlin - which is a relatively short ride.

Das Zimmer war sauber, alles wunderbar, das einchecken über den \"Automat\" war gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber eigentlich problemlos. Wider Erwarten war die Lage sehr ruhig.
Vom Personal habe ich nur den Angestellten getroffen, der für das Frühstück und das auschecken zuständig war, der trat aber sehr zuvorkommend auf.

Was weniger gut war, da das Zimmer direkt an der Feuertreppe war, war das Lüften bei den sommerlichen Temperaturen nur mit Kippstellung des Fensters möglich, eine Klimaanlage gab es ja nicht.
Es wurde direkt an der Feuertreppe geraucht und es ist für Nichtraucher echt eklig ständig den Rauchgeruch im Zimmer zu haben...

Insgesamt ein eher mittelmäßiges Hotel. Der Check in erfolgt über einen Automaten, das finde ich unpersönlich. Die Rezeption ist nur bis 14h besetzt, wenn man Fragen hat, muss man eine Hotline anrufen.
Die Zimmer sind klein und schmucklos, aber sauber.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist bestenfalls Mittelmaß. Ich musste mehrmals nachfragen, um ein weiteres Brötchen zu bekommen, die Angestellte ist dieweil eher mit ihrem Hund unterwegs, als sich um die Gäste zu kümmern.
Auch die Lage ist nicht so zentral wie behauptet. Zwar ist das Hotel in der Nähe von der S/U-Bahn Gesundbrunnen gelegen, doch bis nach Berlin-Zentrum ist es noch knapp 30 Minuten.

No reception service - no early or late check-in available-you are facing a machine that only works from 2pm while people start arriving and building a pool. That day I had no access to my card and used cash. The local tax could only be paid by card in order to retrieve the key. You can not explain to a machine you need to pay cash. I was lucky my friend could help me out. For few hours during breakfast service there is a reception. I had a late flight and would have paid for a late check out. Not possible. This is poor service!!! However the room is good. The shower lovely and the location close to the tube station. If you prepare for the machine checkin the rest is fine and the rooms good.

Very bad (digital) experience

Check-in user-experience for first-timers is terrible, at least when booking via a third party (like hotels.com). You get an email which asks for a travel ID for the self check-in. I had none as I booked via hotels.com, and I did not get the information that I can check-in directly in front of the hotel WITHOUT any travel ID, just my name. It took me a lot of time on the phone, hearing recorded informations (but not useful for my case) and trying to reach any human who told me I can check-in in front of the hotel.
In the morning I got the information from a very uninterested hotel employee, that there is no breakfast, as nobody has pre-ordered one. So they do not open the kitchen for breakfast.
The only positive experience: The room itself was ok (when you are happy to get there).
Referring to the mk hotel homepage where they speak about a \"modern service concept supported by passionate employees\": Please use some professional support to design your (digital) customer communication and interface.

Wir wurden direkt freundlich empfangen und uns wurde alles wichtige erklärt. Unser Zimmer war schön warm und hatte eine tolle Aussicht auf den Fernsehturm und den Garten des Hotels. Alle Ziele die für uns interessant waren, haben wir aufgrund der guten Verkehrsanbindung innerhalb kurzer Zeit erreichen können. Das Bett war schön weich, dadurch haben wir uns nach einem langen Tag sehr gut erholen können.

Gute Lage im ruhigen Hinterhof, unkomplizierter Check in - sehr nette Rezeptionistin. Zimmer sauber, sehr funktional eingerichtet. Straßenbahn Haltestelle direkt davor mit Anbindung zur Bornholmer Straße oder U 8 ein paar Meter weiter. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Das Frühstück ist nicht das Geld wert. Nicht eingenommenes Frühstück wird trotzdem berechnet. Angestellte sind nur bis höchstens 14 Uhr anzutreffen, noch dazu sehr unfreundlich und patzig. Zimmer sind sehr eng, so etwas wie Hausordnung scheint es nicht zu geben. Frische Handtücher und Bettzeug haben wir uns selbst beschafft.
Von dieser Unterkunft ist absolut abzuraten.

Das Zimmer an sich ist sehr gut und sauber. Fehlt bloß ein Kühlschrank. Mein Problem war beim einchecken, ich musste den vollen Betrag am automat nochmal bezahlen obwohl ich den schon online bei Expedia gezahlt habe. Der Eincheckvorgang am Automaten ist umständich, schlecht erklärt, fehlerhaft. Zum Glück hat es beim dritten Mal geklappt, ohne daß ich irgendetwas anders gemacht hätte. Der Wasserabfluß im Bad war verstopft.Und die aufgebackenen Frühbstücksbrötchen waren eine Zumutung. Ich werde diese Unterkunft
nicht mehr buchen.

Die Betten waren in Ordnung. Das war aber auch das einzige. Keine Info vorher dass dies ein Online Check in Hotel ist. Ich stand vor verschlossener Tür im Regen und musste ein Check-in Terminal bedienen, das nicht funktionierte. Die Notfallnummer die auf dem Check-in stand antwortete \"Sie rufen ausserhalb unserer Geschäftszeiten an. Meine Anreise war 17:30 Uhr.
Dass Essen hat das Niveau einer Jugendherberge. Der Preis für die Übernachtung incl. Frühstück ist nicht gerechtfertigt. Habe die 2. Nacht storniert ohne Erstattung der Kosten Seitens des Hotels. Habe 30 Minuten an der Rezeption diskutiert.

Mir hat das einchecken nicht gefallen, sehr kompliziert am großen Automaten. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind furchtbar, nur 4 Parkplätze, wenn man zu spät kommt, hat man Pech und muss sich draußen was suchen und das in Berlin, kaum möglich. Ansonsten sehr sauber und man kann sich sehr Wohlfühlen.

1. Ankunft: Keine PIN erhalten.Türöffnung funktionierte nicht. Anruf half nicht weiter. Hilfe durch Person(al?) (außer Dienstzeit) Fernöffnung der Zimmertür? Konfusion.
2. \"Superior!\"-Zimmer für 2 Gäste: nur eine Room-Card.
3. Idem: Nur ein Plastik-Stuhl für 2. Anderer Gast auf Bett?
4. Pro Person nur ein Handtuch für 3x Übernachtungen
5. Nur ein Glas für 2 im Bad. Im Gästezimmer: Nichts.
6. Toilettenpapier mußte angefordert werden. Extra
Handtücher nicht verfügbar.
7. Boden der Dusche extrem rutschig. (Unfallgefahr!)
8. Keine Haltegriffe in Duschkabine.
9. Keine Fußmatte für Duschaustritt.
10. Trotz grünem Anhänger fand keine Reinigung statt.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, zumindest für One-Night-Stay, für Urlaub eher ungeeignet, da die Zimmer wirklich winzig sind. Auch das einchecken am Automaten hat uns etwas verunsichert, lief dann aber problemlos. Haben mit Blick zum Fernsehturm geschlafen - wahnsinnig ruhig für diese Lage. Und verkehrstechnisch wirklich gut angebunden.

Ich habe ,als ich spät in der Nacht kam, das Fenster geöffnet gefunden. Im Zimmer 10 Grade und Heizung funktioniert nicht.
Obwohl ich eine Nacht verlängert habe, meine Schlüssel ( Karte) war gesperrt. Als ich angerufen habe, die Frau hat zu tief geschlafen um mich schnell zu helfen. So habe ich 45 min draußen um 2 Uhr in der Nacht verbracht.
