This hotel goes above and beyond in everything. The breakfast is delicious, the location is close to the underground trains so easy to get everywhere. Very accommodating hotel with amazing staff. Rooms are always clean, hotel is very clean, has a cozy bar area. The gym is great and has quite a bit of machines to work out on. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a place to stay in Berlin.

The hotel itself was very clean and modern and the staff were very personal and helpful. I was very unhappy with the location of the hotel. Although it was very close to metro it was full of homeless people sleeping at the entrance and also in the park directly across the street from the hotel entrance. Didn't feel safe to walk alone in the evening.

Parking garage was full and I paid for parking and wouldn't refund me and then I got a parking ticket cause I had to park on the side street at the hotel. Elevator from garage to hotel was not working. Receptionist told us to walk up 6 flights of stairs with our luggage. We walked up the steep hill from the garage and then down the sidewalk to the hotel entrance and then used the elevator.

The room was nice and clean. Cleaning staff was very friendly.

The hotel was a quick 5 minute walk from the train station, which made it very convenient. The park next to the hotel was nice for an after dinner stroll. The front desk concierges were friendly and professional. Breakfast was good, nothing spectacular, but got old after a few days. The price was great as well. Unfortunately the bed was hard and pillows were uncomfortable, and there was a fire alarm at 11:30 at night, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

We were confident in the Marriott brand. However, we were placed in a room the management knew had no air conditioning. We spent two nights trying g to keep the windows open with an ice bucket and a water bottle because they refused to move us.

- Walls/Floors very very thin, and because of wooden floors you'll hear a LOT of chairs being moved around during housekeeping hours. The main room doors are very heavy, which slam shut. Annoyingly, this makes the glass shower surround shake. Again during housekeeping hours you'll hear this a lot.

- The food at the restaurant is overpriced and food quality is basic.

- The hotel is not in a great area - the surrounding area is very sketchy, a lot of drunks/drug users.

disappointing and lack of hospitality & comfort

The only convenient factor about this hotel is having a metro station just across the street. Else, it’s lacking comfort where the bed was too stiff for a hotel, it was’t feeling cosy because there was no carpet, and the door of the rooms are very huge so if anyone closes the door without being careful it creates a loud and annoying noise across the hall, imagine that you can hear all other guests in the same floor slamming their doors – very unpleasant! Although, the rooms are fairly big but there’s no dressing table or a decent place to get ready! and on top of all that, they “accidentally” took hold amount on my credit card worth EUR 399.52 and didn’t take a serious action to release the amount immediately which was very inconvenient and created a personal problem specially as a tourist. Moreover, we requested a late check-out and we agreed to check-out at 1 pm, but we were surprised that at 12:30 pm when we came from outside that our room was open and they are already cleaning our room with our luggage inside despite that we were putting the do not disturb sign! Which was unacceptable, very intruding to our privacy and this was a lack of hotel hospitality.

This is a very nice Marriott. Very nice lobby, and the room was new and spacious (we had a junior suite). Very friendly courteous staff. About a 5-6 minute walk to the closest S and U-bahn station, so very convenient with no car. Decent breakfast but a bit expensive: sausage links, scrambled eggs, a fruit tray, a cold cheese and meat selection.

The hotel decided to move us to a 3 star hotel beside their property (Moxy Berlin - sister company) which is a downgrade from the 4 start hotel that we originally booked because they decided to shut down AC hotel Berlin as it’s higher cost for them to keep it open with all the cancelations and they offered us 2 tiny rooms in the new hotel vs the family suite that was originally booked without any compensation offered for the downgrade, thanks Marriott for preferring to cut costs over your customers satisfaction, last time Marriott chain is getting our business.

The hotel was modern and the receptionist was very nice during check in. She allowed us to check in early which was great after a 7am flight. The room was spacious unlike some of the air bnb’s I had seen around Berlin. The location is handy right next to the S Bahn, we didn’t explore the local area but did go to the Turkish cafe for breakfast on the corner which was easily accessible.

I loved that it was all new and modern, the bar/restaurant is very cool. Only 2 minutes walk from train/subway.
Carina at front desk was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, a great asset to the hotel.
Only a couple of negative points that could be worked on easily, it would be good to have information on bar/dining and facilities in the room. The housekeeping didnt always clean glasses/mugs used the day before and also didnt replace used knapkins/toiletries take away cups.

Wir haben bestimmt 20-25 Minuten an der Rezeption gewartet obwohl kaum etwas los war.. Ich bin bei der deutschen Bahn und habe schon viele Übernachtungen gehabt und da geht das wesentlich schneller.. das war echt nervig muss ich sagen.. dann wurde mir erst gesagt dass ich noch eine City Tax bezahlen muss und dann doch nicht .. als ich heute ausgecheckt bin kam die Kollegen hinterher gerannt und hat mir wieder gesagt dass ich eine City Tax bezahlen muss, aber ich habe ihr erklärt, dass der Kollege mir bereits gestern gesagt hat, dass dies nicht nötig sei, weil alles im Vorfeld schon bezahlt wurde.

Unpleasant Stay due to Lack of Room Maintenance

My family checked into a room on December 28, and I arrived later that night. Upon entering the room, I was shocked to find it freezing cold, with a non-functional heating system.

What troubled me most was discovering that this was a known issue. A small portable heater had been placed in the room, clearly intended as a stopgap measure, but it was insufficient to warm the space. It was disappointing to realize that your staff knowingly assigned us a room with a defective heating system without informing us of the problem beforehand. This lack of transparency and disregard for our comfort left me deeply disheartened.

As a guest, I expect a certain standard of professionalism and honesty from a reputable hotel. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations. The unprofessional handling of this situation, coupled with the discomfort my family and I endured, has left a lasting negative impression.

Netjes, maar niet bijzonder & veel geluidsoverlast

In de kamer veel geluidsoverlast gehad, dunne wandjes en veel lawaai van een luchtsysteem aan de buitenkant. De kamer was verder niet heel speciaal, vrij klein. Matrassen waren hard. Het verblijf was verder oké, maar niet meer dan dat. Er zijn betere opties te verkrijgen in Berlijn.

Beim Frühstück wurden Buffet und Geschirr nicht zügig aufgefüllt. Die Kaffeemaschine funktionierte das komplette Wochenende nicht. Fazit: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht!

Family vacation, 5 nights. The hotel is ok, not exceptional. It's in the Gesundbrunnen area, not in a walking distance from Berlin center. A big S/U-Bahn station is within walking distance. The neighbourhood is main Turkish with many ethnic shops and reatuarants. The station looks kind of creepy at night but mostly all train stations do. I've been given a junior suite on first floor (that never happened). Windows should be more sound-proof. The streets are noisy and it sounds like having a crowd in your room. The room is spacious, has lots of of closets and two TVs. Unforunately the bathroom is incredibly small and narrow compared to the room. And what's with these transaparent doors latley? You're basically doing your \"business\" with the whole room to watch. The toilet bowl is right next to the door. The whole family hated it. We all had to move in the living room area when someone was in the bathroom. The shower door has no gasket so the floor fills with water everytime, very messy and possibly hazardous. Plus the shower drips unannounced in the middle of the night startling you.
The breakfast buffet isn't huge compared to other hotels I've been to but it has everything you need and the refills and replacements are fast and constant. The eggs were excellent, btw. The coffee machine had some problems, though. You have to order pancakes and omelettes separately. I haven't tried the restaurant nor the gym. The personell is efficient but a bit distant. Germany, right?

Hotellet fremstår i receptionen og i fællesområderne meget stilrent og pænt. Værelset var dog en hel anden oplevelse. Værelset var slidt, der var skimmel i badet, tydeligt beskidt på tæpper, gardiner, lamper og radiatorerne var møgbeskidte. Linned og håndklæder var rene. Morgenmaden var alt for dyr og af for ringe kvalitet til den pris de opkræver. Vi brugte i stedet en morgenmadsrestaurant på gaden der ikke blot var billigere men også meget bedre. Parkeringen var i en kælder under et andet hotel hvor man ikke skal have en særlig stor bil før det var umuligt at parkere uden at ridse fælge samt siden for at komme ned. Selve parkeringskælderen var meget lille og man skal være heldig for at få en plads.

Et fint standse hotel som fremstod nyistandsat. Dog var det ikke det bedste indtryk vi fik da vi ankom. Området foran hotellet flød med henkastet affald. Der lå tøj i hækken og tilmed en sofa der var smidt ud. Noget der for området til at fremstå meget anerledes.

Hotel was lovely. outside of hotel really needs some renovation as it does not depict the amount of stars. Big room with modern bathroom. Parking downstairs but be careful with big cars as it is pretty narrow. Breakfast was OK however bit expensive for amount and variety of food available so not as expected. On the last day an issue with the room was handled positively by management in the end.

, el piso olía mal y se veía restos de comida vieja, el baño olía a orine, le informamos a recepción esperábamos que enviaran a limpiar y no fue así, no tenía aire acondicionado, dormimos con ventanas abiertas y mucho ruido en la zona
