While the staff was nice and the hotel is overall good, it seems like management may not be investing in it so strongly. I asked twice to get soap replenished and room service didn’t do it for the full 7 nights I stayed, thus running out in the middle of my stay, there is a gym but the machines all malfunction and stop in the middle of a workout and no functioning water for the gym… limited amenities in the room: no fridge, kettle, ironing board, coffee, etc. overall, still okay given affordable but not up to par with my usual Moxy

Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and was asked to walk to a nearby “equally good” hotel—whatever that meant. I walked over, only to find there was no booking under my name. After several phone calls, the issue was finally sorted, but I was then placed in a very basic room, which I wouldn’t even rate as 3 stars.

Awful experience with hotel check in

Appalling double charge experience on check in and no manager working weekend to resolve.

On check in my phone was on the counter as I went to pay with the debit card I reserved with the receptionist, who wasn't paying attention, pushed the terminal towards the phone and I was charged through my phone.

After many attempts to refund she said she couldn't cancel and there was no manager until after checkout. She assured me it would be cancelled as I had also paid on the card I reserved with.

No refund received so I have paid twice and have to go through the hassle of challenging the transaction.

I paid in front up in full and the receptionist was also trying to get me.to pay and extra 50 euro deposit for no reason.

The breakfast which I paid for was very basic and not worth the money. Bakery and cafes around the corner offer better value.

Room was clean but bed mattress was knackered and there's no toilet door.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

MOXY Berlin's air conditioner was broken during our stay when the temperature was over 80 degrees F / 27 degrees C in Berlin at night. The hotel is not equipped to handle the heat through other means. What was more concerning was that they did not alert us of this ahead of our stay or at check in — we had to find this out ourselves at night in the room. When we called asking for help with the air conditioner, the front desk did inform us of the broken AC and said that they would send a fan, which they never did. The front desk also was unable to accommodate a slightly early check in despite being seemingly empty. There were also no bolt locks on the door, which did not help with feeling safe. As a Hotels.com Gold member, Hotels.com was unable to assist us beyond calling the hotel in the middle of the night. A very bad service experience.

I only booked this hotel as an overnight for the convenience of there FEX train to the airport. But it is a great place I shall use again for longer visits to Berlin. It seems a bit out of the way, but the S-bahn & U-bahn connections are good, right to he historical heart of the city. The reception, cafe, bar, breakfast room is delightful and the bedrooms are spacious clean quiet and comfortable. All the staff on reception (I met 4) were always warm, welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast buffet too. Difficult to fault and highly recommended.

The bed was much smaller than in the photos, the same as an ikea double, not a king size. Reception staff agreed the photo was misleading. There are no drawers or wardrobe so we had to love out of our suitcases for the week. This is in the small print of the listing description but is a basic requirement that anyone would expect from the most basic accommodation. The shower door was broken and removed meaning the floor and towels got very wet during showering. We had a noisy service entrance outside our window and was constantly disturbed by staff moving loud wheely bins, smoking and vehicles manoeuvring. Breakfast was awful, toast and cereal. Not worth €10 pp p/n. I would give the rooms a 3/10 but the reception lounge was nice and staff were friendly. Unfortunately we were disturbed in the lounge area one evening after two girls had been fighting, police were called and had to restrain one of them etc. We expected much more.

While travelling through Europe, the staff at this hotel were by far the nicest. They went out of their way multiple times to ensure we were happy with our stay and felt comfortable. My favorite part about this hotel is the lobby! There are multiple comfortable and cozy places to sit whether you want to read, work on a laptop, lounge with friends or enjoy a nice breakfast. There are also separate rooms in the lobby so that if you want to close the glass doors for a little extra quiet, you can do so. Our favorite room was a room full of beanbag chairs! Nice space to enjoy a glass of wine. The hotel is also full of really beautiful art. Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was amazing! Super beautiful and trendy! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely made you feel comfortable. The room was amazing! Very spacious, and the bathroom and shower were great as well. It was super close to public transportation and felt pretty safe walking around. The only downside was that they were having technical issues with their TVs so we had no access to internet TV or screen sharing.

My room (316) was very hot, despite the air-conditioning. I reported this to the staff, and was told the technician would be called to take a look. I also requested an electric fan if it could not be fixed, but this did not arrive either. Result: furnace hot room in the morning sun. The guest lockers in the lobby were useful, but fiddly to lock/unlock: I accidentally left my locker insecure, but a helpful staff member locked it for me while I was away. In fact, I can't fault the overall cheerful friendliness of staff.

The location is A1. Close to the Gesundbrunnen train station, walking distance to Alexanderplatz, Prenzlauer Berg. It’s a safe location, I took walks through the park next door, rosengarten im humboldthain, every day.
The staff at the MOXY front desk are nice and helpful. Alvaro, Muffvil, Alejandria, Simon, and Maria: they recommended restaurants and places that might be of interest in and around Berlin, gave excellent service ( even when I ordered food at 2am). The staff at MOXY is what I wish all hotel staffs were like.

Beautiful rooms with spacious bathrooms and great products. Convenient to have a bar and food choices in the lobby, but prices were high. Internet worked great, and the lobby had lots of spaces to hangout or meet with friends. Very close to the train, so a quick trip to the downtown sights.

Berlin was the last stop on a 5 country tour for my sister and I. The flight from Amsterdam that I caught would arrive in Berlin around 9:30 in the evening. I contacted the Moxy before my arrival to let them know I would be arriving late in the evening. The Moxy responded, and also gave directions to take the subway to their location. When we arrived at the Moxy, we met with the night time reception staff, and check in was quick and easy. We were given our key cards, and directed to our room. When we arrived to our room, and swiped our cards, I noticed that there was luggage on the floor and upon further inspection, I noticed there were people in the bed. I closed the door immediately, and my sister went downstairs to alert the staff. I was hoping that this was just a mix up. This was not a mix up, the Moxy had overbooked, and they could not accommodate us. We were sent to the AC Hotel a sister hotel next door for the night. Breakfast was a part of our reservation, and there was a brief discussion about whether we were going to eat breakfast at the Moxy or at the AC. We were originally told that we could eat breakfast at either place. Once checked into the AC we asked about breakfast, and we were told that there was a possibility that we would have to pay for breakfast if we ate there. Needless to say, we were told the MOXY could not accommodate us for our stay, and we were moved to the AC for the duration of our trip. We were asked to pay for one night at the moxy.

Staff are very friendly. They got us free drinks on the house because we arrived earlier than check-in was ready. We got a corner room with a balcony that overlooked the park it was beautiful.

When originally booking on line I had no idea how well this hotel was accessible by public transport once I arrived at Berlin.
The staff at reception were very helpful in planning my activities for the week and gave printouts of train and U Bahn connections throughout the city including trips to Potsdam.
Very modern and tasteful decor in reception had a positive vibe to the hotel.

I chose this property as it’s closer to the airport but also because it said there was an airport transfer service when I was looking through the hotel services on Expedia. There is no airport transfer.

I also wanted to keep a few things cold - there is no mini fridge in the room. I couldn’t make myself a warm tea before bed as there is no kettle in the room. The area isn’t great for restaurants but dinner choice in the hotel isn’t great either.

I stayed at the Moxy to bookend my trip to Germany for a professional workshop. I was greeted warmly and offered a free cocktail. The stay was very nice and the guy who checked me in and served me for dinner was amazing. I can't remember his name but he said he'd come over from Italy to work at the Berlin Moxy for a while. The rooms were nice, but the air conditioning was not up to par. It was a very hot week in Berlin and the nighttime was extremely hot! As this is a design hotel, the rooms also forego a wardrobe and a bin... not hugely practical!
When I checked back in to the hotel on Thursday, the staff not only recognised me, but the aforementioned member of staff offered me white wine, the same as I had ordered on my previous stay.
The breakfast is OK but I would have liked more fresh fruit.
They have free printing services - perfect if you're flying BA and can only check in 24 hours in advance!
Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

It’s very modern and new, the room was super comfortable and very clean and had great additions such as streaming from your phone to the TV (e.g netflix) and USB ports by the bed for charging your phone. The location whilst slightly random is VERY well connected by public transport and only s short 4 or 5 stops to main attractions.

Brilliant new hotel

Quite simply a superb hotel, new, funky and vibrant, definitely somewhere worth staying in Berlin. Yeah the area its in isn't the greatest but with brilliant transport links its not an issue. Maurpark is a short walk away and is a must to visit on a Sunday afternoon. The rooms are fairly basic but everything you need for a short trip. The reception area is very cool with plenty funky seats and games to play while you relax with a beer. Just be warned though that the bar is a bit expensive!

The hotel features a very modern look, it has recently been refurbished however with some teething issues remaining. The room was impeccably clean and I have no further comments to add in that respect. Whilst located not in the best part of Berlin, the hotel is just 3-min walk from Gesundbrunnen U+S-Bahn train stations that take you anywhere in town.
The hotel staff were exceptional and deserve a special thank you for going the extra mile to make you feel welcome and looked after.
On a less positive side, I was surprised to see that despite loads of international TV programmes in the room no British TV channels were available at all!
The room has no tea/coffee making facilities, however the bar staff are happy to offer cups with hot water should you decide to make your own brew.
The hotel breakfast is charged at 10 Euros per person, however the choice of items did not look particularly appealing to me so I resigned to having a good cup of coffee with a freshly made bun from a nearby bakery at the railway station for less than 3 Euros!!! Amazing value!
Overall, I would recommend this place and would probably book it myself.

Amazing Boutique style hotel

We arrived on Monday night at 1am confused and tired, something went wrong with payment and the staff member there made me feel like I shouldn’t worry and sent us up to our room anyway. We were blown away by how beautiful this hotel is, the lobby smelt amazing, looks gorgeous and feels like an expensive place to stay. It’s right next to travel which is a plus. Breakfast is tasty and served late too if you drink too much German beer like we did. I loved every second of our stay and would highly recommended it. I would say that maybe there could be a bigger desk in the room and maybe add things like free tea or coffee in the room but that’s about all I would change.

Wir mögen die Nähe zum Bahnhof und die gastronomischen Angebote auf der Ecke. Das Gesundbrunnen-Center ist gegenüber und der ÖPNV ebenso gut erreichbar.
Das Zimmer ist sauber und die Betten/ Möbel sind sehr bequem und gemütlich. Das Frühstück haben wir hier noch nicht gegessen, da wir das draußen in den Café machen. Die Angestellten sind super nett und zuvorkommend.

Dieses Hotel ist eher einfach, aber zweckmäßig. Aber - ich bin hier auf einen Städtetrip und möchte hier nicht meinen Lebensabend verbringen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und Zweckmäßig. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr einfach. Nur keine Zimmer zur Straße buchen (Lärm). Für ein Hotel in Deutschland (Berlin!) ist es verwunderlich, dass man sich mit dem Personal (auch beim Empfang) fast nur mit englisch verständigen kann. Und wenn man nur zum schlafen kommt, ist es O.k..

Service? Ganz viel Luft nach oben!

Beim Check-In konnte die Angestellte überhaupt kein Deutsch sprechen. Das erwarte ich aber in einem Hotel in Deutschland! Die Angestellte konnte mit den gesprochenen NAmen die Reservierung nicht finden. Diese musste ich erst in der App aufrufen, dann hat es geklappt. Trotz Bestellung von zwei Zimmern mit Doppelbetten und Belegung mit jeweils zwei Personen mit unterschiedlichem Namen gab es nur eine Bettdecke! Es wurde dann eine nachgeliefert. Diese wurde am nächsten Tag von ZImmerservice in beiden Zimmern wieder entfernt. Ebenfalls entfernt wurde vom Schreibtisch eine noch nicht leergetrunkene privat gekaufte Wasserflasche. Als wir abends spät zurückkamen, saß da ein NAchtportier, der wieder kein Deutsch sprach! Immerhin hat er Bettdecken und Laken zu Selbstbezug organisieren können. Bei Frühstück gab es keine Kaffetassen: \"Die werden und immer geklaut\" - ja gehts noch? Wenn ich 14€ für ein überteuertes Frühstück bezahle, müssen genügend Tassen an Start sein. Die werden ja nicht alle erst an genau diesem Morgen verdunstet sein! Checkout war wieder nicht auf Deutsch möglich!

Net hotel en gunstig bereikbaar

Rustig en net hotel en toch redelijk centraal gelegen met prima openbaar vervoer. Jammer is dat er geen waterkoker op kamer is. Alhoewel het een Moxy hotel is ervaren wij hier niet die gezellige Moxy sfeer. Niettemin keurig hotel. Plus: elke dag wordt je bed opgemaakt! Waar vind je dat nou nog?

Wir haben ein Wochenende in Moxy Hotel verbracht. Für ein Wochenende ein super Hotel. Das Zimmer war klein, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Perfekte Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder!

Moxy Standard wurde nicht eingehalten

Ich habe schon öfter in einem Moxy übernachtet aber dieses Mal war es leider eine Enttäuschung. Das Zimmer war sehr kalt und wurde innerhalb des Aufenthalts auch nicht warm. Zum Frühstück musste man raus und in das Nachbarhotel gehen. Das Buffett dort schmeckte aber sehr gut.
Service sprach fast ausschließlich englisch.
Der Fitness Raum hat 24/7 geöffnet und ist ganz gut ausgestattet.

Toller Empfang

Tolles Hotel mit superfreundlichem Personal. Wir sind bereits 11 Uhr angereist und bekamen erstmal einen Kaffee aufs Haus, damit wir eine halbe Stunde später das Zimmer nutzen könnten. Abends dann zwei Gläser guten Riesling als Welcome Drink. Ruhige Lage.

Tolles Personal, schöne geräumige Zimmer

Super nettes Personal. Sehr entgegenkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein junger Mann italienischer Herkunft und Lizzy sind besonders aufgefallen und haben den Aufenthalt zu einem angenehmen Erlebnis gemacht.

Wir haben 2 Nächte zum Marathon Wochenende hier übernachtet. Besonders freundlich hervorzuheben war, dass das Hotel am Marathontag extra bereits ab 6 Uhr Frühstück fertig hatte und auch Wasser und Haferflocken bereit standen. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich gewesen - und danke dafür! Das Zimmer war sehr schön, alles wirkt recht neu. Ich hätte mir statt eine großen Bettdecke nur zwei normale Decken gewünscht. Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder übernachten. Anbindung an die U/S Bahn perfekt, nur 5 Gehminuten ist die Haltestelle Gesundbrunnen.

Die Zimmer sind funktional eingerichtet. Bett gut, Bad sauber. Leider kein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Auf den Wunsch nach einer zweiten Decke wurde prompt eingegangen. Die Fenster hätten geputzt sein dürfen, sie hielten aber die Geräuschkulisse gut ab. Dass es dann nachts nicht so ruhig war lag an nervigen Zimmernachbarn, die auch um Mitternacht noch laut reden müssen auf dem Flur und Türen auch um die Uhrzeit mehrfach ins Schloss fallen lassen müssen. Da kann aber das Hotel nichts dazu.

Ein Hotel für Leute die für eine Party absteigen?

Nicht zu empfehlendes Hotel. Scheint darauf ausgelegt zu sein Gäste zu beherbergen, die für eine Partynacht ein Bett suchen und denen in der Dunkelheit Schmutz und Beschädigungen nicht auffallen. Es fehlt überall an Sauberkeit, Komfort und Service. Das Personal scheint nur aus Aushilfen zu bestehen. Es wurde viel mehr Geld abgebucht, als beim Check-In angekündigt wurde und dann gab es hierfür keinen Ansprechpartner oder Zuständigen. Das Zimmer besitzt nicht mal einen Kleiderschrank oder eine Garderobe. Das bezahlte Frühstück wurde in einem benachbarten Gebäude angeboten und dort war niemand über die Frühstücksbuchung informiert. Dies dürfte leider das katastrophalste Hotel sein, dass ich jemals besucht habe.
