Although the hotel was generally well presented, and the staff were friendly, I was disappointed with some problems with my room and the lack of response. The window blind was broken, room very dusty (from the ceiling fan) and shower tray overflowed very quickly. However, the staff were helpful with storing luggage, and the hotel was very conveniently located right by a U-bahn station which meant getting around was very easy.

This is a lovely little hotel. The location is away from the city but you literally have a train station at your doorstep. Lovely little eateries close by, and major supermarkets a couple of stations away. It was perfect for our stay in Berlin

Located in a side road, close to an underground station, but you must be willing to travel a few minutes and potentially change trains to reach the sightseeing spots. More distracting is the fact that there are not so many eating options in the vincinity. Hotel is clean, room is fine and wifi works well.

I enjoyed my staff. For a 3 star hotel, the hotel is excellent and the breakfast is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a area with a run down feel but once you enter the hotel you totally forget about that. Public transport (train and bus) are within a one block radius and the hotel is easily reached by public transport from Tegel airport with only 1 transfer.

The hotel staff were very nice, they accommodated for early check in. The location was in the \"arab section\" of town (so the Arab man in a shop told me) kind of close to the theater we went to, however this location is not really a very nice part of Germany, there was garbage everywhere. I wouldn't go back to this part of Germany.

Disappointing and unsettling stay
I arrived at 12:30am and checked-in. The room #15 was single but I booked a double. Went back to the reception to change into double room as per booking. They did not have anything in non-smoking block so I ended up in a very smelly room #407. At 3:00am some person entered my room with a key. I have no clue who he was or what he wanted.

Was a very good break, but i did specify a DOUBLE bed, as it was intended as a romantic break for us, but had two singles!!! Bit naff really as i booked this a good while ago too. If this cannot be a guarantee the next time we visit Berlin, then we have no other choice but to choose another hotel and booking agent.

We stayed here for 3 days. The room was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated that the hair dryer was located on a wall outside the bathroom so I could dry my hair while my partner showered. We had a room at the back of the building and it was extremely quiet. The internet was free in public areas. Secured parking cost extra but you could also park on the street. We found the front desk people took a lot of smoke breaks and weren't knowledgeable about the city but the brochures available in the lobby were very helpful. There's a u-bahn station quite close to the hotel. We would stay here again.

Hotel was nice, close to Grenzalee tube station, so ideal for city center access. Can't comment on breakfast as didn't have any. Only slightly annoying thing is that the house keepers start around 8am and they are very noisy, almost as if they are trying to wake you up or stop you sleeping in. It could also be because of the sound proofing of the room/corridor. Despite this issue I would recommend this hotel and I would use it again.

A nice friendly smaller than average Ibis. Interesting location a very short distance (200yards) from U-Bahn (U7) in travel zone B. Making it much closer in time to city centre than you might think.

My stay was great, what made it great was the staff. They were very helpful and attentive. The rooms were clean and cosy. Its just outside the centre and as a result might put a few people off, but if you dont mind a few exta stops on the metro, worth the saving.

We travelled during Easter holidays. The hotel is located in the suburb of Berlin. Metro station is very close to the hotel and the surface train station is not far away too. One need to make one metro change to reach Alexander Platz or Brandenburger Tor. There are few cheap cafes and a restaurant around the hotel. I was staying in the ground floor and the room was ok. There was daily room-service. A good budget hotel little far from the city center.

Good BUDGET hotel.
We had a nice stay in this low priced hotel. We wanted to be close to the Estrel Hotel & Convention Center and it kinda was. It was a 30 minute walk (I walk fast) or an 8 Euro taxi. However, internet was terrible. Only about a 1/3 of the room can access it. Otherwise you still pay to sit in the lobby and use it.
I am also glad I didn;t pay for the breakfast as it was not good for the 12 Euros they wanted for it. It is however close to a subway stop and billiards bar and convenience store.

Wir als dreiköpfige Familie brauchten eine bezahlbare Unterkunft mit guter Nahverkehrsanbindung. Die Anbindung ist wirklich gut, aber das mit dem bezahlbar kann ich nicht wirklich unterschreiben. Wir zahlten am Ende 200€ fürs Parken, Schlafen und Frühstücken pro Nacht. Das Schlafen war wirklich gut, weil die Betten ggü. dem was wir sonst erlebt haben überhaupt nicht durchgelegen waren. Das Frühstück finde ich für 17€ frech und vermittelt mir das Gefühl damit etwas anderes querfinanziert zu haben. Wenn auch die Produkte selber in Ordnung waren, so war die Auswahl doch sehr überschaubar. Der Parkplatz kostet extra und wird auch benötigt. Die Straßen in unmittelbarer Umgebung bieten kaum bis keine Parkplätze und ehrlich gesagt möchte ich mein Auto dort auch nicht auf der Straße stehen haben. Die Umgebung wirkt auf mich ungepflegt und das Thema Alkohol und Drogen lässt nicht lange auf sich warten.
Unterm Strich ist das Hotel gut zum Übernachten, wenn man schnell hin und weg kommt. Fürs Frühstück empfehle ich in die Stadt zu fahren und als Anreise eher die Bahn als das Auto.
Würde ich wieder im Ibis Berlin City Süd übernachten? Eher nein. Nächstes Mal gebe ich mehr Geld aus, bekomme hoffentlich mehr dafür und habe auf dem Weg von und zum Hotel nicht permanent ein mulmiges Gefühl.

Perfekt ophold til en nat, tre gode senge og eget toilet og bad. Overnatningsstedet ligger godt i forhold til rejser sydfra. Man kan tjekke ind sent og tilkøbe morgenmad. Morgenmaden er lidt dyr, men der er masser er alternativer lige nede på gaden Alt i alt et godt og prisbilligt ophold, der dækker vores behov på vej fra Prag til København.

Wir waren nur zum Übernachten hier, dafür sehr gut geeignet. Frühstück gut und ausreichend. Ruhige Lage, Parkplätze sind zu finden, aber abgesperrt und kostenpflichtig auch möglich. Nettes Personal, ist auch nachts da.

Yövyimme tässä hotellissa 8 yötä. Sisäänkirjautuminen sujui nopeasti ja henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Aamiainen oli todella hyvä ja monipuolinen. Hotellin yhteiset tilat olivat viihtyisät ja huoneet tilavia. Huoneissa ei ole ilmastointia joka varmaan olisi kesällä tarpeen. Als ich ankam fiel es mir auf, dass das Gebiet ein bisschen merkwürdig ist, aber das ist in manchen Ecken in Neukölln und Berlin so. Die Lage ist sonst super, wenn man Bus- und Bahnanbindugen braucht, weil man höchstens in 5 Minuten an der Bus- oder Bahnhaltestelle ist.
Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bett auch angenehm. Der Boden bei der Dusche im Bad ist ein bisschen rutschig, aber sonst sind die Leistungen von einem 3-Stern Hotel erfüllt wie erwartet.
