I like everything , lication, walking distamce to the statiom . Recomend maybe a little freezer and or coffee/tea pot as curtesy.
The rugs from the room as well as from the hallway were some smelly from smoke and somehow dirty. Need to be updated. But after all i am satisfied and recommend amd will come again.

Great hotel in a good location with a restaurant next door. Only downside was no A/C so it got quite hot but the windows can be opened wide, so would have to sleep with open windows - not a huge problem for me.

There is a big supermarket on the next road. It was in a \"residential\" area so it was quiet, but walking distance to bus/trains (5-10 mins) and lots of restaurants/other shops.

The rate was under $100; I did not expect the hotel to be so clean and quiet. The breakfast consists of multiple choices of bread, eggs, sausages, cereal, coffee and two juices----all good. The elevator is jerky when it stops, works fine.

Not for humans! Full of Rats!

It was the worst place ever! There was noone in the reception and the room keys were just lying on with my name.

When I went to the room there were 3 huge rats running around. I come from India but even there we would have a better accomodation at this price.

Horrible experience, there was no one to complain and I just left the hotel after waiting an hour to reach the management.

Excellent choice in Berlin

Excellent choice, room was clean and big. Bathroom is also good. Near to the subway (10 mins walk) - 15 mins to Friedrichstrasse St. Neighborhood is calm and there it supermarket and restaurants.

The room was advertised as coming with free wifi. This was very important to me. However, when I got to the room it was very clear that there was no wifi in the room. The man at the desk tried to pretend like it must be broken and there was nothing he could do, but I don’t believe him. There was no mention of wifi or the password anywhere in the room

I thought there is air conditioning inside the room. But there was not. Have to open window. And its quite noisy. People and airplane noise. The hotel is near to airport. Stay because next day morning have to take airplane 5am. The pillow really not comfortable. Stay on Sunday. All the shops nearby close. Nothing to eat. Requested toothbrush from hotel dont have. Have to go to city to buy toothbrush. My next trip back to country also sunday. So booked another hotel near city.

This hotel is old and worn out. The bathroom was so small that you had to pull the shower curtain aside to sit on the toilet. The shower curtain dragged on the shower basin and I'm sure accumulated bacteria as the white curtain was gray on the bottom. The staff was friendly and tried to do what they could for you. It was basically a hotel near the airport.

It's a hotel near an airport, man.

Room is fine, bathroom a bit grim but if you're just staying there for the sake of a flight it's fine. Restaurants and Supermarkets nearby are not expensive. Near a key bus stop and underground station which can take you to Tegal Airport or the rest of Berlin.

An overnight stay in transit through TXL. Room was made up for 1 person and we had to locate addition pillow and quilt to make up bed. Fairly basic hotel, small room and a little dated, particularly the bathroom. Reception was friendly and helpful.

The shower wall had black mildew in the grout between the tiles (Yuck!!). Needs a good dose of Pyrex and s scrum brush. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk at check out was extremely helpful. The room was warm/hot with no (apparent) air conditioning plus windows which did not open to let in cooler night air.

Horrible Hotel Stay

The condition of this hotel was horrible. I was scheduled to stay 2 nights, checked in really late (after 11:30 pm) add immediately started looking for new reservations. I didn't want to touch anything in the room, it all looked very worn and dirty. Would have left the sane night but since it was so late didn't want to chance being on unfamiliar streets. Checked out by 9 am next morning. Reviews and pictures are extremely misleading. To make matters worst next morning I realized my view from my window was of the centenary. Do yourself a favor, don't book here.. There are other hotels close to airport that are 1000% better.

A tad out of date but clean

The hotel itself is very outdated but very clean place and immaculate room. Shower cubicle was small but still can't complain as the shower itself was a good and powerful. The bed could of been a little more comfortable but you get what you pay for so we wasn't expecting pure luxury. The only really disappointing thing for me about the room was the no option of tea/coffee esp as my friend and I opted for no breakfast prior to booking. Overall this hotel was more than accommodating and would stay again.

Chose it for its closeness to the airport. It costs €15 by cab. The room was fine for a short stay. The hotel staff was not super patient but ok. Could not speak English well. The bathroom was clean but a bit squeezed. Overall positive experience.

My husband booked this hotel near Tegel Airport in Berlin awaiting a flight back to San
Francisco. The name Days Inn let him to believe this would be a basic hotel similar to one in the US. We arrived after a long drive after a stormy, rainy night and were given a room that had no heat. Needless to say we froze and since I was ill with a cold it got worse. The furnishings are minimal and the tiny bathroom in dire need of an upgrade. The drape was dirty with food splashed on it. We had one additional night to stay and were given a different room which at least had a semi functioning radiator in the bedroom but not in the cold bathroom. The staff was friendly enough and forgave us a $9'00 parking fee for our troubles. I would prefer Novotel or any of the other hotels near Tegel Airport.

For a Quick Stay, this hotel is perfect!

For our purpose (a quick stop in Berlin to fly home early the next day) and the money we paid, the hotel offers great value. Fine- it is old and a tad rundown (it still uses actual metal keys to the room) but the rooms are kept clean and the bed is comfortable. It is also a short walk to an U station - with U6 taking right to downtown Berlin for less than 3 Euros. Front Desk was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel would be perfect for a short stay if you are flying out of the Berlin airport. I chose this hotel as I had a rental car and needed to be out of the \"green zone\" of inner Berlin as I didn't have the proper permit for that. The customer service at the front desk was adequate but not overly friendly. It is within walking distance to a supermarket, lots of restaurants and the underground system. The parking was really secure and that was a bonus. It's a decent hotel (with a very small TV in the room) but the shower was crazy small (even by European standards). Our bathroom also had a weird smell but we just dealt with it.

Fantastic hotel, very close to airport

We arrived back home today from staying here for a week whilst in Berlin, what a fantastic hotel, all the staff are well mannered & couldn't do enough for us, housekeeping every day to keep on top of the rooms, a short 10 minute walk to the nearest town, supermarket right across the road.
It can be a little noisey due to being about 15 minutes away from the airport but honnestly wouldn't let this get in the way of staying here.
Can pay extra for breakfast which we did one day, wasn't our cup of tea but we're used to English breakfasts. We are planning on stopping here again in 2 years when we return I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone

Stayed 2 nights. No A/C, small, stuffy, smelly room, overlooking a cemetery !!! No Minibar/ tea/ coffee maker in room. Bed was not that bad. You can rarely move in the shower stall. Old... old....old. Need serious update. Front desk staff friendly, specially Katie/ Katrina and other two men ( day/ night shift ). Area seems safe. 20 mins underground to City center. It's much worse than any D Inn chain in US. Spend xtra $, don't book this one. Book somewhere else !!!

Rooms were mediocre for the price. Service was very bad. Booked a taxi for the morning for our flight, the front desk agent forgot to book it, also forgot our wake up call and was very difficult in the morning. Our taxi ended up 30 minutes late after the confusion, which was very stressful to make our flight. We wanted to call a taxi on our own but he insisted that he called them. Service was awful.

Nice hotel, very good location

Perfect location, with around a 5 or so minute walk to the underground station which took you into the city in 20 minutes. The area surrounding had numerous lovely places to eat and a little shopping area by the station. Definitely worth staying a little bit further out of the city for the price point of this hotel - no real trouble getting into the city and it was nice to see a different area slightly further out from the main attractions - and often cheaper and nicer to eat around the hotel/station too.

Hotel itself was nice. Very helpful staff on arrival and the room was better than the photographs. We found it to be very comfortable. A little bit of noise from flights overhead (understandable so close to the airport) but with the windows closed this was barely noticeable. The hotel is off the main road slightly so is nice and quiet generally. English speaking staff also.

Choice of smoking or non smoking rooms but there was no smell of smoke in the non smoking rooms. There was a slight smell of smoke in the stairwell but aside from that not at all.

Hotel is also very close to the airport. The 128 bus runs from outside the underground station straight to the airport and took less than 15 minutes. Handy if you need to catch a flight.

Overall I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely return!

After returning late from Paris, I wanted to stay close to the airport for the night. I selected the Days inn Berlin West because of the reviews and their location. The staff was outstanding and extremely helpful. That was one of my best staff experiences and I would recommend them to everyone. Hotel breakfast was also outstanding and tasty. It was a great way to start the day. Hotel room was good but you have to remember its not the Waldorf Astoria. It was nice, clean, and had all the basics covered. Subway stop is in walking distance and the staff gave us advice and directions on how to get to our next destination.

The checkin and checkout were good and the hotel is close to Tegal airport which was important to me.

The smell of cigarette smoke met me across the road and by the time I walked into the hotel I was overcome with the stench.

My room was a non smoking room but the entire hotel stinks of smoke; it's through the towels, linens, everything. I became a passive smoker in just one night and I left as soon as I could the next morning.

Retro-European, relive the Post-War era.

Arrive late via 15 Euro taxi drive. Entry is early last century, dark, small, says location is sadly retro, pre WWII. Staff were helpful, communication easy, WiFi was total FAILURE for me, toilet crammed between wall & shower, stairwells were dark, elevator was OK, It was quiet on floor 5. I was not there for more than 9 hr, I was pleased to leave. Lady desk clerk in morning provided insights into cabs and credit card use. I value her assistance. Thank you! No real time for breakfast, looked OK, nothing that encouraged a return. Wyndham must have made an urban-renewal purchase of building. I slept well, but wasted too much time fighting Wi-Fi mystery. I could compose notes, but never could \"Send\". Sadly, desk help tried to get me on, but I never succeeded. I do not recall getting receipt on departure. Should I be charged the $188 that Expedia implied, I will be both dissatisfied and enraged. This was a poor experience for a tired traveler, who has had excellent prior experiences with Days Inn. I will avoid such layovers in the future. I'm home now, but I appreciate that you ask for feedback.

Good people and location

The people who work here are very nice and helpful. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from a subway station (U6 Kurt Schumacher Platz) and is a block away from a grocery store if you don't want to spend too much time and money at restaurants. This subway station will get you to so many great places with only a few transfers.

It's a basic hotel so no room service, but the breakfast buffet in the morning was really good and every time we came back to the hotel the lovely receptionist would get us hot water in teapots so we could make tea in our rooms (we bought the teabags and milk pots from the Aldi down the road). A 10 min walk to the tube, 20 min ride into central Berlin so very convenient. I would definitely stay there again.

Some rooms are atrocious.

I stayed here two night, coming into Germany and leaving Germany. First, when I booked the nights, I realized I'd made a mistake on the first date. I called within ONE HOUR to change the date by one night. My request was refused.
First night: room smelled horribly of smoke. One of the few things that are unacceptable to me.
Last night: The first room I was shown smelled like a sewer. The second room was nice and clean.
Staff: not very friendly.
I dont' Expedia or \"Days Inn\" ought to be associated with this hotel.

I did not get to the hotel until 2.30 am in the morning because of delayed flight. When I finally got to the hotel my name was not in the computer anymore since I did not arrive before 24.00 O'clock. He had to call someone to find out how to get me back in the computer what took even more time from my sleep. I found it even more annoying that he could not help me to the elevator since I had all my luggage with me and had to open a hallway door before getting to elevator. It would have been a nice gesture to be helpful. Otherwise no complains, Had my wake-up call like I asked and also had taxi at 7 am :)

The staff at this hotel were all extremely welcoming and friendly.This hotel is in a nice quiet area with a few bars, restaurants and couple of supermarkets. It's a bit out of the city centre but can be reached in only 20 mins.

nice hotel but noisy

very good and friendly staff.they really go the extra mile.nicely appointed room but the hotel is very very noisy.kept awake by other guests talking in corridors .you can hear every word clearly and loudly.also fire doors have no dampener on them and bang regularly and very noisily.sleep disturbed.
